  1. Con artists and crooks.

    Where can I start. This company is the worse. They were so horrible that I involved the better business bureau. They quoted a price and they will give you a low price on purpose to reel you in. They said 1,400.00 to move me from CT to GA. Once the movers arrived, before they even got in the condo good they said its going to cost me more because of 7 or 8 they were just saying stuff that didn't make sense. They called Brandi and that is when the price went up to 2,000.00. The only reason I agreed is because someone was moving into my condo the next day! They picked my stuff up after arguing with me about the price for 3 hours, on June 30,2015 in a small van. I asked the driver when should we expect our things he said 7 days. I said why so long?? All of a sudden he couldn't speak English..any way one week went by then 2 weeks and that is when I started calling asking where's my furniture? Brandi was nice when she was collecting my money then all of a sudden she was nasty and acted like she didn't know what I was talking about. Hannahs the fast talker, do you know that my furniture was finally delivered on AUGUST 5!! Don't use them. This is what they do but they don't tell you. They take your furniture to a warehouse until they get other furniture then when the tractor trailer is full THEN they deliver your furniture. I have type 2 diabetes and ALL of my med's were in a box. I only carried med's for 2 weeks. They took so long that I had to go to the hospital to get med's. I kept calling and they were SO NASTY to me as if I'm calling for nothing. We had to sleep on the floor for over a month and wear the same clothes for 2 and a half weeks. Thank god we drove and brought some stuff with us. My sister lives in SI and she went to the police dept to report my furniture stolen. THE POLICE DEPT KNOWS ABOUT THEM. They told my sister that I have to file a police report. NOW finally when my furniture arrived to my house, all of my food was damaged. My brand new T.V. stand had a long scratch on it. I reported that and even sent pictures to Brandi. It's November 2 and she's still ignoring my calls. Not only was some of my stuff damaged, they didn't have the decency to say I'm sorry. I beg of you don't use them. Oh and they have such a bad rep that they have at least 3 different phone numbers and they will ignore you once they get your MONEY. If there is any GOOD reviews, trust and believe THEY WROTE THEM BECAUSE NO ONE WOULD SAY ANYTHING NICE ABOUT THESE CON ARTISTS AND CROOKS!

  2. My moving experience.

    I spoke to a sales person by the name of Marie. She Was very charming. The only reason I went with the company, she knew what she was talking about she understood my concerns and she sold me. The price was a little higher than what I has received but I trusted her. On the say of pick up there was definitely a price change. Something I did not expect however it was because the movers would not load my tvs and glass items without the proper materials. (I had to pay for it). But once everything was professionally packed I was satisfied. Over All My $1200 Moved turned Into $1360. I got my delivery the day I was promised and I would refer them again just be mindful they charge for packing and they won't load the items without it.

  3. A Great Experience.

    The company went above my expectations. Moving from Massachusetts from Texas was a daunting task, but A to B Van lines made this as easy as it could get. My agent, Hannah, communicated well with me throughout the whole experience, answering any questions I had, addressing any of my concerns, and giving me a heads up before my movers were expected to arrive and roughly how long my things were expected to be delivered. All of my movers were friendly and professional, taking my furniture and valuables into consideration during the packing process and ensuring everything was secure to the best of their ability. My movers arriving in Texas had the tricky task of parking an 18 wheeler on my street due to its setup, but it was accomplished and successfully unloaded without blocking traffic. They were courteous, helpful, and professional. I had an excellent experience with the company.

  4. Horrible Customer Service.

    It was a  horrible expericence dealing with these theives. They overcharged and kept saying what a great deal I recived from them. They delivered 2 weeks later than promissed and never called to say they were running late. I called many times from many different numbers and mostly no one answered. If someone did answer they would give general answers that didn't make sense. They were very nice up until they picked up my good and recieved the depost. I had many broken items in upon delivery and they driver kepts saying go to home depot and you'll be fine for $5. I wish I had done more research.

  5. Terrible and thieves.

    Picked up my daughers things. Want 50% more when there was only a couple of small things that were not on the estimate (less than 10 cubic feet). Refuse to give me a delivery date. Will not return calls and lie when I call. I still do not have my daughters things after three weeks. COULD YOU DO WITHOUT ALL OF YOUR POSSESSIONS? I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE MY DAUGHTERS THINGS ARE..INCLUDING CLOTHING!  DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. It is awfu! .. AND they actually use the same USDOT # as Experienced Van Lines. Be very careful! .

  6. A to B should be closed down.

    Stay far away !! This company is a fraud!! They are theives!!They were super  late not apologetic and rude after they  showed up with a van half full with someone elses belongings after Alfred did inventory with me and knew how much stuff I had they had me sign for the deposit before telling me the van was half fulll!! Alfred lied about Saying this was an all cash deal as he never told me that but I see why they prefer cash they are scammers Alfred and Brandi the alleged Manager all of them! They pulled up in a graffitti van, you are better off throwing your money in the garbage. They have no ethics or morals.

    I have been so busy that didn't find the time to confirm and give the deposit. But Alfred did not give up on me and called me. I have a reasonable quote with the promise of no hidden fees. They will pick up in NJ this Friday 3/25/2014 and deliver the 1st or 2nd of May 2014 to FL. So far so good in custumer service and Alfred answer my doubts about the negative reviews I found on the internet (yes! I ask lol). I will keep you updated when my experience is completed.   8. Communication issue/ bad customer service.

    My quote sound reasonable but when they come to pick up it cost $900 more. They have no courtesy whatsoever. When the come to pick up my stuffs they are 4 hours late and the guys take their time to load the stuffs . They promise my delivery will be next day because the big truck is leaving that night but it was not true. Then 3 days later I got the call and said it will be there next Saturday but then turn out to be a big disappointment and upsetting when no one calls to said they will deliver my stuffs. I have to call Alfed and he refused to pick up my calls. Never going to use this company ever again. Becareful and stay away from them.

    I literally have NEVER had a more deplorable despicable company experience in my entire life.. The entire staff and agency is morally bankrupt and I will never hire this company ever again. Bar none the worst company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I plan on filing a civil suit against this company.

  10. Misleading, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    Of course I have a super long story, but I'm just going to sum it all up
     
    I did a boat load of research before choosing a company. Pricing and reviews. All moving companies have their positive and negative reviews. It's literally like taking a shot in the dark. So I simply picked this company since they practically stalked me for my business and the quoted price was fair.
     
    A couple of bullet points:- MY sales person clearly mislead me to obtain my business- They DO screen your calls once they have your stuff and will not answer- They gave me a run around on an ETA- They try to warp the words of the contract in their favor- I was denied the name of the owner when I wanted to complain aboutmanagement
    - They use third party companies to delivery/pick up your stuff
     
    First Bullet - I was misleadThere were several times after I provided corrections or additionsto my inventory and those changes weren't made. I would be sent a "new"quote though so it just makes the total amount appeasing.
    Also the date of delivery was my BIGGEST HASSLE EVER
    I told my sales person that I needed delivery on 11/12/2013. Pick up was 10/30/2013. So this is ample time to get the truck when I needed itfor my move in (5 day transport per the quote). No one ever made any mention of the fact that it would take longer or that it wouldn't get my items on that date I requested, soI figured there wouldn't be an issue. I WAS WRONG. I sat in an empty apartment for another 4 days and didn't know when I would even receive my goods until the day before delivery.
    Second bullet - They screen callsI can not count on both hands how many times I had to call this companyregarding my date of delivery. I spoke with 3 different people (including the manager Brandy) and was constantly told that I would get a return call to no avail. I had to call from a blocked number or a friends line to actually get an answer to my call.
    Third Bullet - No ETASo if you're a MOVING company, you're adept at moving stuff right? Safe to think? Apparatnly not. They told me my goods left on my expected date of delivery (10/12/2013) and I didn't get an expected dated of deliveryuntil that Friday (10/15/2013) for Saturday (10/16/2013). All of a suddenthe date was coined as "you earliest date of delivery". No one used thisterm previously but I'm a reasonable individual. I said ok so it cantake 3 days or whatever (its a 16 hour drive). The behavior is so incredibly sketchy that I didn't even know if my shipment had LEFT until Thursday (10/14/2013). I can't imagine a company not knowing where theirdriver is and how long he may stay in that general area. THIS IS YOURJOB ISN'T IT??
    Fourth Bullet - Warping the contractSo for those few days I was feuding with this manager, she tells methat my earliest date of delivery that I put down was 11/14/2013. Thiswas completely false. 
     
    Fifth Bullet - self explanitory. Never spoke to this guy. No discount offered. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE
     
    Sixth Bullet - they claim they don't do this but they completely do. So if your movers mess something up, there's no one to complain to or get any guidance on the process.
    Disgusted with their service and would should it from the rooftops. STAY AWAY, BEWARE. PLEASE contact me if you have any questions or need some sort of additional info.

  11. Worst Delivery Company Ever.

    WORST DELIVERY COMPANY EVER" Customer Rep:  Alecia:  ///Agreement was: Flat fee quoted $400/(CHARGED $720.00)/Time of Pickup: 10am. (was scheduled for  12-2pm)================================================= Signed up online for a moving company. Receivd a lot of calls from companies who gave me prices. Alecia from A to B Van Lines called and asked if I had chosen a company as yet, seems excited when I said no, then asked me how much I was charged. I told her $500. She then told me that it would cost me $400. She called me everyday since that, I decided to offer her my business and told her that I would like someone to come at 10am in the morning. She called and took my credit card info with a downpayment of $50. The day prior to the move, No one called to confirm. The day of the appointment I called to find out when the men were coming and I was told I was booked for a 12-2 appt. Amazing. The service men arrived at 1:30pm. The rain started falling. This was what I was trying to avoid when I booked the 10am appt because rain was predicted to fall in the evening// Can you imagine? The  serviceman started quoting hourly rates to me and told me that it would need two trips. The serviceman told me that he had other people's furniture in the truck therefore all of my furniture would not be able to fit. I called the company and explain and they told me that they will talk to dispatch, and the serviceman. They did not listen to me the customer. The serviceman told them otherwise and they didn't even bother to call me back. I was trapped, could not take another day off from work, plus they had my security deposit. I called and asked to speak with Alecia and was told she was there but did not want to talk to me. I was told she no longer handles this aspect. Wow!!. How nice. That was surprising as she was the one who was calling me everyday prior to getting my business. I was dealing with somene new who did not care about what the customer wants or whatever information I was previously given, plus obviously, Alecia did not want to be bothered. This was just an excuse for overcharging me. I had no choice and decided for the two trips. When the servicemen reached my delivery address on the two occasions he would not remove my things from the truck until I paid him. Plus, my furniture which was never bubble wrapped by the company were all wet. I was held hostage to the company. I received no apology or discount from the company for all the misinformation or for the way that I was treated. This is my second day and no one called to see how my moving went. Lousy customer service. If I had read the reviews prior I certainly would not have used them. I had so many other calls yet I choose this horrible company. I learned now to get verbal agreement in writing and never believe the words of reps who are trying to make a sale. After such negative reviews I am surpised that are still in business. This company's licence should be revoked. WORST COMPANY EVER; DO NOT USE THEM.

  12. Horrible.

      I would agree with all of the reviews.  The movers started off by being two hours late to pick up my things.  Subsequently making me late to an appointment I had later that day.  I had to leave them alone in my house to finish the job.   My original quote to move my things from MA to FL was $960.  After all my things were wrapped and packed the told me the quote was just an estimate and that the final price would be $1640.  I told them I would be able to accept delivery on the 16th, my things finally showed up on the 22nd.  During this time I made 20 phone calls trying to find out what date and time my things might show up.  My calls were never returned, or I was told that they would find out and call me back, which they never did.  I was left wondering for a week when my things would show up.  This company will deliver furniture whenever they feel like it.  The day they finally called me to delivery my things they asked if where I was living would accommodate a 55' truck.  I told them no, just as I had indicated on the contract several weeks earlier.  Then they told me if I wanted my furniture it would cost another $350.  On delivery day my things showed up obviously scratched, damaged, and couches had rips.  From my original quoted the price more than doubled, I made twenty phone calls about my stuff, spent hours trying to work with then, and my things were delivered at their convenience.  I am sorry I did not read the reviews earlier.  I chose them for the price, but obviously they under bid their competition and then hammer you with additional fees and charges.  As they just walked out my door I asked them to take their trash with them and they said "sorry, we don't take trash, you have a trash can get rid of it".   A horrible experience and I would NEVER use this company or recommend them.  .

  13. Demanded Tip, Unprofessional, Go elsewhere.

    My mother used A to B Van Lines for her move this past weekend from New Jersey to New York.  Mom isn't too "tech savvy" so she asked me to write a review on her behalf.  Pros:  The movers were on time, they were able to produce a receipt for the cash exchange, and Lorenzo was able to fit a rather large couch into the apartment without taking the door off.  For these things, I gave them 2 stars. Cons:  Lorenzo repeatedly and aggressively solicited my mother for a tip.  From the moment they arrived in New Jersey to the moment they finished the move, Lorenzo asked my mother to tip them at least 12 times.  In addition, when the movers arrived to the drop off location, they stopped to buy lunch and proceeded to sit in the truck and eat.  I think if someone is paying you by the hour, how dare you factor in your own paid lunch break.  Then, when my mother asked them to work and stop eating, one of the three movers said "you're interrupting me eating my red velvet cake," jokingly, I'm sure.  The movers used tattered, filthy blankets to cover her possessions.  They were smoking cigarettes while they moved her furniture.  They do not supervise your belongings as they're moving them.  I was watching the dog outside and happened to go in for a moment, when I saw my mother's flat screen tv and some of her boxes unattended in the lobby.  Someone could have walked off with her tv and no one would have known.  The tape they used to hold together the blankets from the tv and couch, they threw all over the floor.  When they left I had to clean up bundles of used tape. Two of the movers got into an argument in the hallway when one guy throws a tantrum.  Literally, the guy storms off!  My mom asked what his problem was, and the other mover said "he just needs a timeout!"  Again, you're being paid by the hour and that shouldn't have to factor in your conniption fits.  And, after pre-paying the amount they agreed on, after being mistreated and having her possessions mishandled, even after all of this, Lorenzo STILL had the audacity to ask my mother for a tip.  She told him she wasn't able to give him one, and he asked her repeatedly "come on, you can give us a little something," begging to be tipped.   After seeing the way my mom was treated, I could never in good conscience recommend this company to anyone.  If you are searching for a moving company, please go elsewhere, you will be treated better.

  14. Three Weeks Late!

    If you are reading this reveiw, also read the reviews for "Quality Van Lines." It is the same company but they reincorporated due to so many negative reviews. I moved from NY to GA and this moving company ruined my life for a month. After paying a deposit to schedule the move, the movers arrived and demanded cash only to pack my things. They told me my belongings would be delivered 7 days from pick up at my new house in Georgia. However, they did not come until 27 days after pick up. They repeatedly lied on the phone about where my stuff was, when it would be delivered, and why it was late. One Thursday when it was only 11 days after pickup they told me my stuff was in South Carolina and would be delivered the next day. That never happened and when I called back on Monday they told me it would leave New York by the end of that week. Their customer service did not reply to one email (I must have sent at least ten). They also screen phone calls once they have your stuff and become literally impossible to reach. I was in an empty house with no plates, no bed, no clothes, no pots or pans, and no tv for three weeks. Sure, they are cheaper than the competition. Probably because they don't have any skills or knowhow in their own line of business.

  15. Deposit.

    So I was planning a move in September. They gave me a quote and never told me if I put a deposit down its not refundable. I put down money and come to find out I can't move because my mother in law is sick! I ask for my deposit back and they act very childish. They won't refund me yet and they didn't do anything for me. They had the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life. I have been in customer service over ten years. They are so unprofessional and immature. Do not use this company ever.
