  1. Owner has 3 DUI's and was arrested for Burglary

There is nothing honest about this company. In fact they are a joke, (see Ron Ferguson Comedy) The only thing funny is this joke of a business.

The owner Ron Ferguson has over half a dozen arrests including 3 DUI's, Vehicular Homicide, Burglary, Assault, Domestic Violence. No wonder other reviews mention having belongings stolen.

I question the validity of this company, how does someone with this kind of criminal background get licensed by the state of Colorado to transport household goods?

Hiring this company is the same as hiring someone who was arrested 3 times for child molestation to watch your kids.

The DOT and MC numbers listed for Abe Lincoln Moving belong to Lincoln Moving and Storage located in Kent, Wa.

The movers told me they do not do packing, I made it clear in the job description there will be packing. Prepaid for 3 hours, they worked 2.25 hours and went out to their truck and sat because they don't pack.

Forcibly charged $100 cash to move a 200 pound sofa because they said it was an overly heavy item. Also demanded to be paid in cash before they would leave. I booked and prepaid through a 3rd party moving website.

This is the type of predatory moving companies that we hear about on the news.

  2. So sad

I have used Abe Lincoln movers twice in the past, they were great - wrapped my stuff, were careful and efficient. Third time NOT the same experience! Lots of dropped boxes (luckily I packed my vases well!), broke/damaged a lot of my belongings including my 50" flat screen TV, an antique bookshelf (destroyed), scratches and marks on numerous items. I have reached out to Ron via text and calls several times - nothing - not even an apology. I provided lunch and tips and not even the courtesy of a reply. Sadly will NEVER use them again! I'm now out all that cost and the cost of a new TV. Bad business to not even respond to my texts or calls....

  3. Stolen items by convicted felon movers

Never ever use ABE LINCOLN MOVERS AND STORAGE in Denver. Ron Ferguson is the owner and he sent 2 movers to my townhouse for my move. After a few hours into the move I noticed there was hardly anything in the truck and my Macbook Pro was missing but I assumed it would turn up – it did not. The 2 movers seemed to be bustling around the house, but I just could not figure out why reasonable progress was not being made. 12 hours later they unloaded my items into my new garage and told me they didn’t have time to bring the items in the house and would return the next day to finish. I noticed a large scratch in my bedroom dresser and a broken lamp at that point.

After the movers left the next day here is what we discovered. My Dad’s money clip with hundreds of dollars gone. Macbook Pro laptop gone. 1 Carat Diamond Necklace and Tennis bracelet gone. Apple AirPods gone. My registered firearm and ammunition gone. Hundreds of dollars from my purse gone. Credit cards and driver license gone. At this point the multiple gouges and scratches to my furniture was the least of my problems.

I called the police immediately and they came out right away and started an investigation. A detective was assigned to my case by the next day, and within 48 hours, he found my diamond necklace and my diamond tennis bracelet at a pawn shop in Denver under the mover’s name. That is all that was ever recovered.

It tuns out that both movers were convicted felons. The detective told me that when he found out the real name of one of my movers, his criminal history was overwhelming. Please learn from my horrible mistake and never hire Abe Lincoln Movers and Storage.

  4. Terrible experience.

The quality of work was horrible. The cost was double the estimate, while I can understand this but we were so well organized, it should not have been double the time. Our storage unit is a total mess after being instructed to put the large pieces of the furniture in the back. It looks as if everything was just thrown into the unit. Do NOT hire.

  5. The worst.

The worst moving experience we've had. They showed up an hour late and when we unpacked we noticed several items missing. I don't recommend using this company and don't believe they are trust worthy. Please look at the other reviews on mymovers, Yelp and Facebook beforehand as we had the same experience as others but didn't see the reviews until it was too late.

  6. Horrible experience.

Worst experience with movers ever. We sold our home and we needed to move out so I contacted Strong Arm movers and scheduled for movers to come out and load pods up. Abe Lincoln was the company sent out to provide movers. There were 2 guys that came out to my home and started to work. I kept noticing that only one of the workers was working while the other kept going downstairs. It was not until little whole later when I was taking my pool table apart and needed some tools from my garage did I notice why the other mover kept going downstairs and leaving the other guy upstairs as his lookout. I had a brand new rackets set and a new wrench set that I knew exactly where I left them in my garage and when I went to get them they were not there. I became suspicious and my brother in law and I did some investigation into it. When both movers were upstairs we looked into the drivers window of their grey truck and we saw in plain view my complete racket set in the blue case that the mover had stolen and put in his truck. I was furious and I contacted Ron from Abe Lincoln and he said he was on the way to my home and he advised me to not confront the movers until he got there and out the tools. Short time after Ron arrived at my home with a lady. They lady got her phone out and started recording the whole thing. Ron called the mover out and confronted him about why my tools were in their truck. The mover said I borrowed them to tighten dolly wheels. Funny answer. Then we were looked for my unopened wrench set and the mover said oh those are.in the back of the box truck. We went to the back and they were hidden under blankets. The owner called different guys to come out and finish the move and he sent the original ones on their way. You never know who you can trust. You call a "professional " company and theirs come out and steal from you. The movers were so careless in loading the pods that when we unloaded the pods we found several items of furniture badly damaged by the movers from Abe Lincoln and even out custom glass table cover broken. I sent photos as requested to owners and the are refusing to respond to me. They are playing silent game hoping the issue goes away. Big surprise is this problem will not go away. In fact the problem is about to get a lot worse for Abe Lincoln and we have been discussing the whole situation with a lawyer and we are going to pursue this to the end. My hopes is that the company and owner get exposed for having thieves working for them as well as being exposed for being careless and reckless with peoples belongings. This place does not let you give no star rating it makes you pick at least 1 start to write review.

  7. Go elsewhere.

    Looks like I'm not alone..

Ron was very nice at first when setting up an appointment, and his guys were nice, too - however - they were 90 minutes late and extremely slow. I actually ended up moving large pieces along with them for the last hour at my previous residence because they were taking such a long time. I've been through a few moves and usually, the guys are running to the truck to make the most of your money and time.

One of the movers basically demanded a tip, and they were in such a hurry to get to the credit union to cash my check that they left all of their paperwork behind - which I would guess, makes any of our "agreement" null and void since they don't have anything signed from me.

I found out later some of my items were not moved, and I had to buy new items to replace what Ron and his team had lost. After three months of trying to get a response of any kind from owner Ron Ferguson, I basically gave up. It was a small request - a $60 credit for a few bar stools his movers lost (when I paid $800 + tip) - and as a small business owner myself, I would expect much better customer service (not just before they get paid).

He was recommended by a friend, and so I am hugely disappointed, and just want to make sure any of you looking for a mover know to go elsewhere. There are many other options in Denver for you that would do a much better job and take better care of their customers.

  8. Horrible moving experience!!

Where do I start! First of all, they were 2 hours and 40 minutes late with no call to inform me of any delay. When the two men arrived, they complained about how they got the short end of the straw, referring to moving my belongings, because I was on the 4th floor, however, there was an elevator. They also complained that my furniture was too heavy. The owner quoted that my 1 bedroom, 975 sq. ft. apartment would take no more than 3-4 hrs to complete the job. That said, I was prepared to pay no more than $360 for the job since in was $90/hr. Since they were very late, I called the owner to see what kind of compensation he would offer. He was pissed off at my request and told me they could just unload the truck and forget the job. After he calmed down, He decided to come and see what the hold up was because they were quickly approaching 4 hrs and not even half way through the job. When he arrived, his crew told him they were unable to get the couch on the elevator. Now just to note, the prior movers, who moved me in, were able to load the couch on the elevator. Anyway, the owner, along with another crew member he brought with him attempted to load it on the elevator and were unsuccessful so they attempted to shove it through the stairway door. When I asked that he not damage my couch, he sarcastically said, "oh thanks a lot, that's exactly what I was going to do". With that, he drops my couch to the floor, leaving it in front of the stairwell and a neighbors door, and tells his crew they are leaving to drop off what was loaded in the truck and that they would not be taking it into the apartment. I begged the first crew to move my couch from the stairwell door, onto the truck and they obliged. They then left for the new apartment. When I arrived at the new apartment, minutes later, they were in front of the wrong building preparing to unload my belongings. I made it known that they were at the wrong apartment and they followed me to the correct one.
The owner must have been touch by an angel because he had a change of mind and had the crew take my belongings inside and he discounted the price of my move. I did have to hire another moving company and rent a truck to move the rest of my apartment. I do not recommend Abe Lincoln Movers. The name is deceiving and the owner was less professional than a 12 yr old boy. This move was a nightmare and very stressful because of the attitude of the crew and the owner. DON'T USE ABE LINCOLN MOVERS!!

  9. Worst moving experience ever.

Just left this review on Google and Yelp: This was the worst moving experience I've ever had.  Here are the highlights: - 1 1/2 hours late for an 8:00 am appt.  No excuse for that!  I was the first appt. of the day for the movers. - They didn't wrap my expensive Crate and Barrel furniture while moving it onto the truck, and when I complained they started double-wrapping EVERYTHING and the move was several hours over the scheduled time (the movers told me they were told they'd be done by 1 pm, and we were finished at about 6 pm) - One of the movers, Damion, broke my shredder and didn't note it on forms or offer to pay for it - They damaged the walls in my apartment, scratched my front door, and apparently had no idea how to get my loveseat out, despite my telling them to to take the feet off - The truck broke down in the middle of moving and it took an hour for them to get it fixed - When I complained to the company while the truck was broken, the OWNER showed up and yelled at me, saying the movers said I had told them to double-wrap everything when I most certainly did not   All of this, and I didn't even get offered a discount, or an apology, nothing.  I had to pay $550 for this horrible service.     DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!!

  10. Great Move!

My wife and I have moved five times over the last 20 years, but this by far was the best relocation experience we have ever had.  Not only did Abe Lincoln Movers deliver everything they promised, they went way above and beyond to make sure we were happy.  The crew members were professional, courteous, well-dressed, well-spoken, and on time.  Not a single item was broken, nothing was scratched, and nothing was missing – a first for us. Furthermore, the crew patiently worked with us to make sure we were happy with the set-up after the move.   Another pleasant surprise -  Ron and his outfit  did not add in additional and unexpected fuel or trip charges – their quote was hands down the best among their local competition and they kept every word of it – the price we were quoted was the price we got!  This crew hustled and worked fast, but carefully!  If we ever have to move again, Abe Lincoln Movers definitely has our business.  .

  11. Abe Lincoln Movers are Thugs.

Rude!  The driver cursed me out and refused to move his truck.  Once the video game out he became much more cooperative.  I sent the video to the owner and he condoned the behavior of his employee.  Threatening thugs until they're on record!  I can't even imagine the games they would play if they broke some of your stuff.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fQxioPelIU.

  12. Movers.

I booked a move through Ron and was a little nervous. I have used moving companies before and have had many instances where they were late or didn't come at all, or made me nervous about the way they handled my belongings.
Ron put me at ease and his staff was AMAZING. They showed up on time and in uniform, they worked so hard and moved me into my new home in record time.
I am very happy about my experience and would highly recommend Abe Lincoln Movers!
