  1. Read Reviews & BBB Info!!!

    *** If you're only reading google reviews, do yourself a favor and look at all the other websites offering reviews like facebook/yelp. I'm certain most of the google 1star reviews are countered by a 5star review from either a friend or social media coordinator. Also, go checkout why they have an F rating with The Better Business Bureau. Wish I had known! Most of the negative reviews I've read are pretty consistent with my complaint too!!

    It has been over 3 months since my move and I still do not have a resolution for the one of a kind extra large mirror/frame that was broken on the move. Beware of this company. After doing my own research after the move, I should've asked for an itemized receipt, my moving contract, and insurance information. I do not believe this company is insured as advertised according to another review. They may be insured by Uhaul, which is why I also sent a complaint to Uhaul.

    I choose this company because they had performed good work for me in the past for small local moves. The owner Mark is friendly over the phone however, he has made this move the most stressful/worst experience I've encountered with a moving company.   

    First, Mark (owner)& I discussed how he would be sending a larger truck for the move because we had quite a bit needing moved.  It was also planned that the movers would be loading the truck and then leaving the next day.  His crew did not have the correct information at the start of loading day and came unprepared to load. They showed up with a smaller truck & thought they were only prepping furniture for the day and then loading the next day. I did respond poorly to the crew when they showed up not prepared for the job. After speaking to Mark he was able to give them their correct instructions and the truck was then loaded on the day planned.

    The next day 12/5/20 the movers got everything unloaded at the new house only to find that my extra large mirror broke. When I asked why the broken mirror was loaded back in their truck, they said their boss told them to take it back to Corpus.  I had them leave it at my house because it sounded like they were going to throw it away. I wanted to try to repair it as it was a one of a kind piece. There was also a ceramic 3ft Christmas tree I found broken a week later, but I did not report because I was able to fix it on my own. Whoever from the crew broke it hid it behind large artwork - sneaky.

    Mark said if I was able to repair the mirror send him the receipt. However, the 3 different frame shops I went to in Houston said the frame was not repairable because the material it was made out of.  I let Mark know it was not repairable and he said he would pick it up to see if he could find someone to repair the mirror, which I appreciated greatly until he never followed through. It has been over 3 months from the date of the move. Mark has given me many excuses on why he still has not picked up the broken mirror to see if he can have it fixed.  I call & text frequently and my calls are not returned in a timely manner.  He did plan to pick the mirror up February 28th, but here we are 12 days later and he has not. It's like he told me what I wanted to hear over the phone and then just did nothing.

    I emailed him a formal complaint 3/4/21 and had received no response. When asked for insurance company's information, it has not been provided. The FMCSA will not take complaints because it is considered a state level issue, but they did directed me to file with the TX DMV. So I've submitted a complaint to the DMV, The BBB, Uhaul, and all forms of popular social media.

  2. Poor response to repair or replace

    They damaged my $6000 massage chair and so far have not done the least to repair or replace the item.

  3. Highly recommend!

    They truly went above and beyond! They did more than we asked them to, such as packing some odds and ends we hadn’t gotten to yet and took apart then reassembled all of our furniture. They even hooked up our washer and dryer, which we weren’t expecting. They were quick, professional, and friendly. I’ll definitely recommend them to people.

    I’ve used Above All The Rest Moving three times myself and have referred them on 3 separate occasions. The referrals and myself all agreed that they are definitely Above All The Rest. The crews we’ve had have been efficient and VERY professional. They’ve gotten me out from my old and into new place in great time. Definitely recommend these guys for your moving needs.

    My movers just left and I am so happy! They did everything including assembling new bedroom furniture. If I even tried to move a box they made me put it down and stated “ we are here to work for you, it’s the weekend and you are off work today”! I didn’t argue with them. I highly recommend this moving company! Thank you Mark for communicating and sending me the best 2 man crew.

  6. Do Not Recommend.

    Very disappointed in this moving company. Will update review once things are resolved. Was recommended by a friend who used them for a move and were very satisfied, however, I have a different experience. I am very disappointed. When I first called, I was told that it would be $85/hr for a three man crew and a fee for the truck, insurance, and fuel. I tried to verify to ensure that movers were confirmed for the date I needed them and got the run around. This was after reaching out a month prior to prevent any miscommunication. Eventually I was able to get a hold of Mark and confirmed a time the day prior to the move.
    Movers that showed up were very friendly. Part way into the move another truck and mover showed up addition to what I had requested and confirmed for. I was not informed that I would be charged for this mover. I asked why there was another mover and truck and was told that they "looked up the house and it seemed like they may need more space than the U-Haul they had". I had already talked to Mark prior to the movers coming that the house is big, however, I had everything packed and just needed help moving the furniture which was my sectional, king size bed set, dining table, washer, dryer and a few other items. The additional truck and mover was not necessary. My move did not fill up the original truck. Movers were done within a few hours, I was charged $500 and was told that there would be a 4% fee to use my credit card. Totaling the cost to $520. I was not told there would be a fee when I contacted Mark to ask what forms of payment he would take. If that were the case I would have paid in case. Upon leaving the movers leaving the new home I gave each a very generous tip for their services. I contacted Mark via text to ask him for the break down of the costs because they did not add up to what I was expecting to pay for the move. This moving company does not have the customer sign off on the move like I am use to with movers in the past. I move about once every year, so I have dealt with many movers.
    I went back to the old home to do a walk through and noticed scratches on the wood flooring from where the washer and dryer was wrapped up. Mark contacted me to see how the move went after I asked him for the break down of the costs and I addressed the scratches on the wood flooring and he asked for pictures. He never addressed my original request for the break down of the costs of the move. I send him the pictures and heard no response from him. Andrew, one of the movers, contacted me and asked me where the scratches were located and that he would get back with me after talking to the rest of the crew that was there. I waited a few hours and heard nothing back so I contacted Mark again asking if he received the pictures I sent. He asked if anyone contacted me and I told him Andrew contacted me but did not hear anything back after he said he would check with the other crew members. Shortly after Andrew gave me a call and said he would stop by the house the following day to see if he was able to fix the scratches on the flooring.
    The following day, Andrew showed up at the house and tried to fix the scratches on the wood flooring and was unable to. He said he would go to Home Depot and see what recommendations they had and he would let his boss, Mark, know that he was unable to fix the scratches on the wood flooring. Few hours alter I reached out to Andrew to ask if he had any luck finding a solution at Home Depot and he said No and that he talked to Mark and he should be getting back with me on a solution. I thanked him and following day still have not heard back from Mark about a solution.
    *Update, it has been over a week and Mark has still not returned any of my phone calls or text messages, not only did he over charge me but he scratched up the floors in the home I was moving out of. Strongly do not recommend this moving company.

  7. Many Missing Items.

    The communication was horrible and Mark Morin the owner would not even call me back. Many Many tools were missing, all of my childrens family videos are ALL Missing at least 6 photo albums, a large folding table, all of my daughters dance pics for 8 yearsrs, al of her trophiess and misc. items that we are realizing that are not in our home now that we have everything unpacked. They are not replaceable. I have been sick over this. I can't believe at least 15 years of memories are gone. They broke a dresser, candle sticks and many picture frames, a lamp and my children's items they made for me. I would not ever consider this company. I have an ongoing case over this. My heart aches for those videos of my kids. Large reward for the missing items. They didn't even have their own trucks the used Uhual. They were late picking up and days late delivering.     What a blessing it has been to know that our families treasures were in good hands. Sixteen years of precious memories were cared for by each employee of Above All the Rest. Everyone made you feel safe, comfortable and reassured that their service and price was the best and competitive. Since our move, they taken care of my parents and co-workers. They too were extremely satisfied! The referrals will continue. Thank you Mark for your honesty and hard work!

  9. Above All the Rest Moving.

    The moving crew we had on 7/9/16 was awesome!! They came in to a situation that was not the best but made the absolute best out of it. I would HIGHLY recommend Joshua, Jerry, and Joel any day of the week. Pricing was excellent also!!
