  1. Diaster. Every box opened and EVERYTHING broken or STOLEN

    Please NEVER use this company!!

They deserve negative stars, but the only way I can write is to give a star.

I had 2 moves. RI to Albuquerque and RI to Montana. The Montana move arrived in Albuquerque. They had NO IDEA where the Albuquerque was.

Finally the Albuquerque move showed up....6 out of 8 dining room chairs missing, dining room table broken on 3 corners, buffet broken, china broken, chair missing it's back! How do you do that?

Now the Montana move. Took over a month for them to even know where it was. Keya acted like she was trying to help, but never produced any results.

Finally 2 months later my Montana shipment showed up. They " found " it in LA!!!! I told them there was a 3 day window that they couldn't deliver. So when did they want to deliver- of course those days. We wouldn't allow him to unload, because of the disaster with the Albuquerque shipment. So, he DUMPED my load in a storage unit. Keya did help me find where my shipment was. I called the driver to find my load. READ THIS: he put it in a storage unit, because the truck was REPOSSESSED!!!! I negotiated with him to get my possessions. When I opened the storage unit. EVERY SINGLE BOX WAS OPENED AND GONE THROUGH!!!

    I found a 6" piece of a rocker...no chair!

Gone with the wind lamp had an antique iron put on top of the globe. 27 pieces! Antique large urn/ vase had a stool put on top of it. Of courses smashed. And a large piece missing so I can't even get it repaired. This move was 20 boxes. I now have 5 boxes filled with broken items

During this time I tried to be in contact with Joseph, owner to figure out what and where was the rest of my belongings were.

CLAIM: I did not realize at the time of packing- the Packers filled out the insurance part of the contract.

I spent hours documenting the missing items and damaged items. I mailed the claim down to Fla, no response, so I resubmitted the claim and mailed it Certified with only Joseph able to sign for it. I tracked it, he got it. When I called him he denied he got it " because he is "so busy". I called the Post Office and they verified the pick up and signature. So I called Joseph back and he got mad at me, because I was upset! Seriously???? After that he blocked my calls.

    About 6 months later I received a settlement.....$70!

NEVER USE this company they are sleezeballs and if you are missing some Red Sox memorabilia and a large wicker chair I have it.

And if I ever move again, I will have friends watching each of the Packers.

I also filed a claim with the Motor Carriers . They take abuse like Joseph and his company very seriously.

  2. L Schemeley.

Horrible Horrible Horrible company They are totally incompetent lie to you wont call you back and hire outside people at the cheapest price that do not know what they are doing They did the same to me as they did to others Quote one price and charge me another Charged me for tape blankets etc. They wanted their tip in cash (500.00) The 2 young kids who brought my stuff to us had no clue what they were doing. They were bringing in my washer and were banging on it and shoving it through the door which caused damage Little did I know it was already damaged beyond repair All they had to do was take the door off of the hinges which my husband had to do cause they didn't know how I had to buy a new washer and refridgerator ( which was 6 months old ) I got stuff that didn't even belong to me and didn't get things that did My 42 inch TV was missing My custom made bed had drawers in it and the drawer faces were cracked and split I was missing boxes Those containers and boxes that I did receive were smashed The damage that I had was worth about $10,000.00 They offered me $79.00 I had to buy my appliances etc. on credit as I didn't have that much money as I needed them asap. Then you file your claim and wait I have been waiting for a year The company they have to file a claim is a joke too They want your first and second born And yes Kia is worthless and lies to I had more excuses from her Believe me she does't want to talk to me again as I told her where to go. Stay away from this Advanced Relocation In fact run don't walk away from them Zero stars but had to give one for review.

  4. Terrible Experience!

This was a classic example of Bait and Switch! I contracted for a move of furniture between NY state and then to PA for what I was told would be about $1,500.00. I was very specific on the phone with their sales guy Phil about what furniture, how many pieces, approximate size,
etc. We gave them a credit card over the phone deposit and were told that on the date of pick up, to have a check ready for the driver in the amount of $875.00 with the final balance of $275.00 due on delivery (also a check). When the driver got to our house, he said no checks! Must be cash and it was going to be $2,650.00!! We got on the phone with his Boss, the owner. He said we could negotiate. It was when we said forget it and that we would cancel that they put someone else on the line who worked out a deal. The amount was reduced to $2.065.00 and could be paid on delivery. We agreed to pay cash then. Once all this began, the team leader on the truck got attitude because we were not just going along. At the destination, my daughter had the cash and the delivery guy was really insulted that she would not hand over the cash with out seeing the furniture and it being unloaded. The show up in an plain white truck with no markings and want her to hand them this cash! Everything we had arranged, was not what it turned out to be. The furniture was safely delivered but who needs this kind of stress? Don't use them!

  5. Interstate move (NY to SC) with belongings being damaged.

Do not ever consider this company if you want to avoid careless damage to your belongings and unexpected cost overruns!! Worst move experience of my life. Two teenagers working for pizza could have done a much better job and caused less damage! I was initially convinced to hire them by their moving specialist who made it all sound easy, and who spent a lot of time on the phone with me answering my questions and preparing my quote. Their pricing was the most reasonable of movers I checked, and it seemed like this company could be trusted to make this interstate move effortless. Unfortunately things went wrong from the start. Pickup was done by a team of three men who were very polite but immediately told me my estimated cubic feet (done by their moving specialist well versed in size and box totals) was "under estimated" by more than 1,000 cu. ft. These movers wanted to increase my quoted charge by over $2000 at pickup. I ended having to quickly decide what boxes and furniture I wanted to take and leaving half my stuff behind as I did not have additional funds to pay them. (I now have to figure out how to move the rest of my items at a future date and at an additional cost.) You do not want to use this company if you are on a budget! My pickup driver and team showed up at the very end of their window and were in a major hurry to return to home base in New Jersey. They basically rushed my items into the van without much caution. Heavy items waiting to be loaded were stacked on top of items clearly marked fragile as they loaded!! I could not be inside the house and monitoring the truck at the same time, so could only do a quick check of the items being loaded. I was not told there would be an added charge for tape used to secure the wrapping on blanketed items. They made a great show of opening a new package of tape so I could count rolls that were used. I was charged for $108 worth of tape, only to find two 1/2 used and 2 full unused rolls left behind in a back room. The team was polite but did not wrap all metal items that could be scratched or bent (4 dining room chairs, pole lamp and coat rack, all of which did get damaged). Upon arrival at their home base, the items were to be off-loaded at a warehouse somewhere and then reloaded onto a common carrier. I was told they would all be transferred into another truck, carefully secured and carefully handled during that transfer. However somewhere between my pickup location and delivery many of my items were damaged. I know for a fact that the second carrier did not secure items in his truck. Boxes that were pristine at loading arrived with actual holes punched in the sides. In fact, upon delivery, items actually fell out of the truck onto the helper when he unlocked the compartment door to start unloading. This last carrier was brusque and also in a huge hurry. He did not want me to review my numbered inventory list as items were unloaded. Got insulted when I asked to do so saying it was all there and he did not have time to do it my way. When they got to my sofa, he tried twice and insisted it was impossible to move it into the house. His solution was going to be to leave my normal sized sofa sitting in the front yard when he couldn't easily get it through the front door. Told me to "hire a handyman for $40 to cut it in half" and move it in that way and then reassemble it. After an actual argument about it with my landlord, the sofa was carried in but received damage due to the carelessness caused by the aggravation of the driver. I was rushed into signing my delivery documents as he had to wanted to get back on the road and would not wait for me to do even a quick inspection. He did not note the items I did see and kept the papers so that I could not do so.
I would never recommend this company to anyone and definitely will advise against hiring them if you value your belongings.
This "small family owned" company promised a lot of great sounding benefits and the services of a wonderful, caring moving team, but only delivered increased prices, damaged goods and careless drivers with attitudes. Not something anyone should have to pay for!

  6. Horrible, unprofessional, even hostile movers!

My move was scheduled for pick-up between 8am and 12pm. Finally got someone on the phone at 12:15pm. They never showed up and never called to say there was an issue. Originally they lied and said a truck broke down, then later admitted that their "foreman" overslept. I waited around till 7:30pm. Then the foreman takes a quick look around my house and says, "Yeah, I think this is 900 cubic feet. You know you have to pay cash, right? You have $2500?" My estimate was for 535 feet, and I told him to load up the truck and we'd see. This guy was totally trying to scam me. They load the truck and my stuff came to the number 12 on the wall and he tried to tell me I had taken up 1200 feet. I got in the truck and looked at the numbers and they're written every six inches, so it was the 6 foot mark. He argued with me, was hostile, and would not admit he was wrong. I told him to call his supervisor and get someone on the phone, but it was after 10pm and couldn't. He continued to argue with me about the cubic footage before eventually agreeing to do it for the original estimate, so they still overcharged me, not to mention that he tried to overestimate my space and rip me off. I also paid $250 for them to move my motorcycle and I was assured that they knew what they were doing, that it would be "crated" and protected. I had to get the motorcycle on and off the truck myself. The "foreman" admitted he had never moved a motorcycle in his life. I had to tell them how to secure it and help them. Luckily it wasn't damaged. All they did was cover it in blankets and tie it to the wall of the truck. For $250 and I did most of the work myself? Very unprofessional company. Customer service is almost nonexistent. The foreman would never admit that his original estimate when he walked around my house was over twice what the actual cubic footage in the truck ended up being. If I was stupid or a 60 year old woman that didn't know any better this guy would have ripped me off.

  7. Binding estimates are a joke.

These guys are the "industry standard", they are the movers you hear about, the reason people hate moving. The actual cost of the move was more than double the quote despite the fact that the amount of stuff in the original estimate never changed. All consolidated moving companies use the same estimate program and they all undershoot reality of the "required" space by about half. If you take nothing else from this, remember my words to DOUBLE the original estimate you get from ANY company to know how much money you will need for your move. I took a dozen or so quotes and they all quoted me the same cubic footage give or take. These guys pack inefficiently, probably everyone else does too. They called me 10 minutes before showing up despite telling me they would call an hour before hand. I was not staying at my apartment that night so it took time to get there, they tried to charge me late fees from the start but ended up charging a $45 waiting fee which I found reasonable but they were trying to charge me like $350 which I would have just cancelled and forfeit my deposit of $209 so that was a good call on their part. The guys who picked up my stuff were creepy but fast, they wrapped the furniture and took most of the pieces apart (basically every piece had minor damage on arrival, little stuff, pressure marks and scratches). They wrapped glass tops to a desk for me when I had my back turned so I asked the guy if they put something to pad the glass between the 2 panels (spoiler, I found out they didn't when my stuff got to Georgia, they didn't shatter but the scratches on glass top tables add up and they were worst for wear) when I turned around and he replied "Do you think this is the first move we have done?" so I left it at that. I had a couple small items (mug and storage container) broken but otherwise things showed back up intact even though all the heavy duty boxes looked like they were involved in some kind of water polo match (looked like they got wet and beat up in a way that doesn't really make a lot of sense). There was quite a bit of small damage on the furniture as I mentioned but just not enough stuff to bother with putting a claim in with them. I called to voice my annoyance at the original estimate being essentially pointless, they dodged that call for a couple days. Taylor (the sales guy I originally talked to) plays nice on the phone, asks you about who you are and what you do, chose to sell me with facts and figures since I'm a med student and gave me some speech on the size of their company and door to door themselves (they clearly contracted out delivery, but I couldn't tell you about any more of the business side of them screwing me over to make a profit) and their DOT # of miles and trucks blah blah which is of no importance to you the customer except to let you know they are large enough that they pay their taxes and fees, which is great and all but irrelevant to my bottom line or whether my stuff shows up intact..or their estimate is legitimate. Their customer service woman Kia made it seem like she was trying to help, which was of no use in the end. So that is the story of how I paid $3298 to move a studio apartment after being quoted $1400. The moral of which is "Buy a truck with a tow hitch, and move yourself", which I took to heart. Thank you Advanced Relocation for teaching me a valuable life lesson about self-reliance!

  8. Horrible experience.

I was completely scammed by this company. I was given a quote over the phone. Two requests to come to my location to see my stuff were denied, saying it wasn't necessary. I had to add items to my contents as time got closer but was still told that the price wouldn't change.
The day of the move the worker immediately told me I had way more stuff than was on the list. He basically was upset because he only had 1 helper and he was going to have to work. During the move he kept asking if I could leave things behind. I did have to leave a sofa and couch behind as he told me it would ad $1900 to my cost!
When the truck was loaded he came up with a cost that was 4 times the original quote!! Seeing how upset I was he said he'd work something out. We had to drive to a second location to pick up a few more things, some of which I also had to leave behind. He then told me he'd take $2000 off the quote, but that I would have to pay 70% of the cost now and the rest upon delivery, PLUS I would have to write a separate check of almost $500 for gratuity to all the movers on both ends of the trip!!
i called this company numerous times on that day and subsequent days, but no one ever called me back.
I am in the process of filing complaints against the company but am very worried about what condition my belongings will be in upon delivery and even when the delivery will happen.

Follow up: My belongings have been destroyed - lamps, pottery, curtain rods, terrarium globes, salad spinner, litter box - and that's what I found so far. Destroyed beyond repair. Smashed boxes, Christmas ornaments in a box that looks like someone dumped them out and threw them back in. The most careless handling of belongings that could possibly be. It has been a nightmare working with this company.
