  1. Do Not Use King David moving.

Awful is an understatement.  Avoid this company at all costs.  Bobby will tell you how great they are and about their multi star ratings with someone, but it's all garbage.  From the moment my belongings were picked up the problems started.  They have absolutely no communication with you first off.  I couldn't get any information from the "customer service" reps who have no customer service skills.  Had no idea when my things were going to arrive.  Delivery date not guaranteed, I get it, but an idea would be nice.  I notified them on August 3 that I wanted my things on sept 5.  My stuff arrived on Sept 11 and I found out never left Washington until Sept 4 en route to New York. Now let's talk about the condition my things arrived in..I have moved long distances with moving companies on 3 prior occasions and I always expect a little damage, but I the amount of damage and destruction King David caused was staggering. The moving pads they wrapped my leather couch in looked like they had been dragged across the asphalt for miles, and my leather looked about the same.  Broken dishes, broken glasses, broken lamps, damaged dresser, a steel TV stand destroyed, a statue that they charged me an extra $75 to pack destroyed.  The solid wood legs on my dining room chairs were broken off, the table itself was damaged as well.  Every single box they unloaded was crushed it looked as though everything had just been thrown into a truck.  Now I get to deal with filing a claim and based on my experience so far, I'm certain that will be loads of fun.  King David Moving knows nothing about moving, find another company or load a Uhaul and do it yourself, you will save a ton of money in the long run. The photos I have shared are only two of the 35 I have taken so far. New damage and destruction is found in every box. The first photo is my $4000 leather couch while still wrapped. The moving pad is literally  destroyed and so was the leather under neath. The second is an eagle statue that they charged me and extra $75 to package.

  2. Extremely bad service.

Worst experience.. very bad service.Hired King David Moving and Storage to move from Seattle to LA. Denise was very good till I placed my order and paid my advance. Total cost decided as $1400Luggage was picked up and right size truck was sent to pick it up.Problem started when delivering the luggage at destination.Driver calls and informs me that he will be delivering the luggage tomorrow between 8 to 11AM.He calls next day morning informing that he has brought luggage in huge highway container and it does not fit on the road to my apartment. (Really amazed that this company expects to move around cities, delivering consignments in huge container trucks.)This Driver Alex, gets his truck 10 minutes walk from my apartment and informs that he will charge me $400 to hire a shuttle to transfer the luggage till my apartment. I cannot believe this charge and call their customer service. After long hold, lady on the phone tells me that she cannot do anything and I will have to listen to what the Driver tells me and pay the amount.Driver then after 3 hours gets the luggage in uhaul carrier which is available at max $50 per hour. This is only one driver moving all my boxes, and he charges me additional $130 citing that my apartment is 35 mts from the road where he parked the uhaul shuttle. So I had to pay $530 additional and worst part is the driver was so arrogant that he refused to allow me to even see my luggage till I paid this amount in cash. (I had to struggle to get this additional cash of $530 as they refuse to accept cheque).Once I pay the money he starts moving the boxes and was careless enough  to calmly drop 3-4 boxes when shifting. On counting the boxes, I find one box missing. This driver informed that he will check in his truck if the box is left there. I then receive a call from him that the missing bag is in the truck but he has to deliver some other consignment and he will deliver the bag back next day. Its 3 days now and I am still waiting for driver to return or call back.I called their customer support and the lady again informs me that she cannot do anything and I need to contact the driver. So if you need to experience some extremely bad service go with King David Moving and Storage. They will try to do everything right till they pick up your luggage, and then you should be ready to pay huge amount with a lot of pain till you hopefully all your luggage back.

  3. I’ll never hire any other moving company.

I move back and forth between San Diego and Seattle every couple of years. I have hired numerous moving companies to move my belongings but there were always some issues. I was never fully satisfied with any of them. 2 months ago, after my brother advised me, I hired King David Movers. They charged just as high (or low) as any other leading moving company. I wasn’t sure what to expect but their performance bamboozled me. The movers arrived 5 minutes early, which never happens. They were very experienced and efficient, which is not always the case. They took 3 hours to pack up all my stuffs where other movers had taken up to 9 hours. I did a mental comparison in my head and realized that their men were saving me money while taking more care of my stuffs than other movers ever had. They made the delivery on time and there were no damages. I have finally found a capable moving company.

  4. DO NOT USE - Regretted USED.

I contracted with King David Moving and Storage through its branch in Tacoma, WA to move from Bellevue, WA to NJ in late May, 2015.  Although the scheduled delivery date was set to June 10th, the actual delivery date was June 30th.  Compared to others, I was lucky to have most of my stuff delivered with some sever damages to some furniture and had only one item got lost.  Although it was just a cooler, it was one of the most important one.  It contained lots of assembly parts for my furniture.  I placed numerous calls to customer service.  However, after a long waiting time, I always got the answer from them - file claims to the insurance company.  Terrible Customer Service.  No help at all, not even try to provide assistance in finding your lost item.  Advice - try to avoid this mover if you can.

  5. My family is very satisfied.

Unfortunately, when the call came from Dallas, TX, I had to rush out of Pasadena, CA. I left my wife and my son in charge of the moving. They had no issues with the move and that’s because of King David Movers. This company is just amazing. Their rates are just top-notch and always reasonable. The men they employ are very experienced and skilled. When I received everything here in Dallas, all my things were intact, not even a new scratch on any of them. I was totally surprised by the efficiency these guys displayed. Just leave your moving responsibilities to these guys and you won’t be disappointed.

  6. Very professional.

It indeed is a long way from Houston to Baltimore. But the move was made easier by the men from King David Movers. They helped me pack up all my stuffs and load them onto their vans. They took special care in wrapping my glassware. I'm not in Texas anymore, but the memories are very fresh, and thanks to King David Movers for making the move so smooth. I will surely hire them again when I move back.

  7. Do Not Use!

Used King David to move out of state (from Houston, TX ), and regretted it! They stole a box of electronics and made us pay for extra boxes they didn't even use! Seriously, do not use these guys unless you want your stuff damaged or stolen!

Boxes were also damaged. We had some paintings that the movers were going to put inside boxes, but they were unprotected and damaged. Had trouble contacting the representative about delivery and pickup dates.

  8. Use the service if you can afford to have your furniture broken.

We moved from Missouri to Delaware and used this company because of its reasonable price and the good review I saw on the website http://www.mymovingreviews.com/reviews.php?action=add&step=fillform.   With my experience, I suspect the review on this website is filtered.  I will know if my review will show up.    Damages and missing items at delivery   1.    One office chair is deformed with one leg  twisted  and hence cannot land on the floor evenly   2.       The tempurpedic king size spring boxes are damaged at corners and one spring box has a long cracking on the top.   3.       One night stand is broken at the neck and is completely unusable   4.       One book case is completely broken and unusable.   5.       My stainless steel trash cash is badly dented and cannot recover.   6.       Two plastic boxes are missing   7.       Two dinning table extension leaves are missing, which makes my dinning table much less desirable because now it can only fit six people instead of ten.    8.       Both my king size  and queen size mattresses were dirty when arrived        Sales person: He is friendly and give me some discount. Discourage me to purchase the full value replacement plan. Hence I chose the basic coverage. Now I don't know how much I can get back for the damaged furniture   Pick up team:   It is a three- person crew. One person mostly did the inventory  and paper work and the two others did packing and moving. I was originally impressed by the way my sofa was wrapped and hence trusted them with the rest. But there was one book case having a broken leg. I suggested removing all three other legs so that it would be even. They said there was no need to do so and said that the book case would be fine. However, I regretted that I didn’t insist because the bookcase arrive completely broken. I also regretted that I didn’t pay attention how they wrapped my dinning table because I lost two of my dinning table extension leaves,  which was the main reason I bought the dinning table for.   Delivery team:   Compared to the pick-up team, the delivery team was rude and unprofessional.   1.    Sloppy about their delivery time; be aware of hidden waiting fee ($150 per hour if you let them wait); however there is no fee paid to you if they are not punctual.   I called the driver several times to figure out when they would arrive. Twice they gave me false information. First time, they said they should arrive in one day and would call me within 24 hours before arriving. However, they never called and didn’t arrive on the day they said so. So I called again and they said they would arrive around noon to oneish. Then around noon time, I called again, they said they were having lunch break and would not arrive until two. Because the driver never gave me an accurate time window, I thought I would have time to go grocery stores to buy some water and ice cream to treat the delivery team. While I came back to my house, they have waited for 10 minutes and they said they needed to charge me $150 waiting fee. I was upset and said they were changing the time all the time and now they wanted to charge me for waiting for 10 minutes after I have been waiting for them to give me an exact delivery time and date for days.  Finally he agreed not to charge me for that 10 minutes but asked me to pay in cash or money order before they can unload. It was my mistake that I didn’t get my money order ready.  Then I paid $150 to learn the difference of the postal money order and bank money order.  At the pickup, they accepted the bank money order and hence I automatically thought they would accept bank money order at delivery.  But by the time I came back from the bank with my bank money order, the driver was gloating over my mistake and showed one of the many papers which clearly said that they only accepted the cash or postal money order.  OK, it was my mistake for not carefully reading all the terms in all those many pages of documents with the stress of long distance moving. I had to go back to bank to get cash and of course, I had to pay $150 for their waiting because one hour passed by after I went to bank twice.   2.       The delivery team consisted of the driver and one young men. But I think without my husband’s help, I don’t think they can get some of the furniture in. When unloading, there was no respect to my new installed hardwood floor. One piece of my hardwood is broken!! We requested them to put the coffee table in the living room and install one of the lazy boys. But they left leaving these jobs to us.   3.       My boxes were treated all the same and there was no attention paid to the warnings on the boxes such as fragile and this side up. Fortunately, I packed my stuff very carefully  but still several dishes were broken. So don’t even bother to write warnings on the boxes if you are packing yourself.          .
