  1. Moving Your Bowels

If you want your BOWELS moved, this moving company is for you!

Hired Alliance Moving and Storage to move my parent’s clothing, dining room table, and baby grand piano from Seattle to Phoenix. It was supposed to be a rather simple move across three states. It ended up being a long financial trip around the bend of the Bend Over Highway.

First, this BOWELS moving company is no moving company at all. It is a broker out of Florida, which hired a moving company (253.800.9053) out of the Seattle area to move my folks. This is exactly what Alliance is….a broker ready to break your balls and bank account.

The representative on the phone, William (478.410.7995), tells you exactly what you want to hear regarding the terms and conditions. But in reality, what he and this company tell you versus what really takes place are two entirely different things. This ranges from misleading and false delivery dates to costs that are quick to change.

This BOWELS moving company told my folks that their belongings would arrive on December 7th, one day after my parents moved into their new house. After receiving the down payment and other fees, William stopped answering the phone. Others in the company offered excuses and stated that they actually have up to three weeks to execute the delivery. They provided an initial quote for the entire job to my father and stated its cost estimates are fairly accurate. If you’ve read this far, I refer back to the first line of this post.

To add insult to this long and grueling trip over Bend Over Mountain, the moving company, hired by this bowel moving broker, broke a TV and was kind enough to allow us to discover it. Clearly it shoved a large PENIS in its mouth. No one said a word. I tried to call the moving company and got a massive run around in automated phone hell. I’m sure it will blame it’s lack of communication and customer response on COVID.

Bottom line…if you want the depths of your financial bowels to get moved along with some broken furniture, Alliance Moving and Storage is for you.

If you don’t want to feel like you just underwent a major procedure involving dishonesty, misleading statements, and used car salesmen tactics — I strongly encourage you to take some vitamins and call another moving company.

These guys will drain the blood out of a tampon if you let them!

  2. DO NOT USE THIS ALLIANCE COMPANY from FL

This is NOT a Moving Company this is a Scam Brokerage. Our moving day kept moving with 3 no shows and no real response or true answers from this Alliance. They just kept telling us next day or this afternoon, all lies. They take no responsibility for anything to do with the moving. Even after we sent pictures of everything required there will be extra charges for packing some items. We got stuck and ran out of time so we could not find new mover. Six days after original and we may have someone coming in the morning.

    Fingers are crossed.

  3. Awful

Alliance rep Donald called me one week before my move to "beat" the other companies price. Gave them a $1785 deposit with the next 1/3 due at pick and last 1/3 due at delivery. When the movers came to my house they stated the price was going to be doubled from $4600 to over $8000! Then continued to inform me the deposit was not refundable due to there only being 48 hours to refund. DO NOT FALL PREY LIKE I DID!

  4. SCAM SCAM SCAM

THIS IS NOT A MOVING COMPANY - they are Brokers. They will sub contract you to another carrier who will then charge you more than the so called Binding Estimate Alliance have provided..

I spoke to a Johnathan Steel ( who advised me he was one of their most experienced estimators at ALLIANCE and had been doing this for more than 10 years). Because of the coronavirus wave, the company gave moving estimates by virtual tour. I arranged this for March 9, 2021 and it took approx one hour. Each room was carefully viewed, each item of furniture and contents of every cupboard / closet were listed. He advised that he allowed an extra 10% over and above what he saw and on the day if there were more pieces I had an allowance of a further 7% on the total estimated cube.

I received a Binding Moving Estimate of $16,500.00 for an estimated volume of 2329cu.ft. .

I tweaked the list of articles a couple of times with Johnathon and received an updated estimate including these items on 4/7/21.

April 9 I booked my move to be May 13 and paid an initial deposit of $1050 to secure the price and moving date .

    April 20 I paid a further $5000

On May 11, I received a call from Conor in Alliance dispatch. He advised that he had reviewed my details and that in his opinion not enough boxes or packing material had been ordered and that although my list of contents had not changed he suggested the need to increase the volume to 3229cuft. - A 39% INCREASE - of course the price would change and would now be $23,720.93 - 45% more than originally quoted !

I asked how could their experienced estimator have been so wrong but as I was 48 hours away from closing escrow and HAD to move from my home I had no option but to accept the new price and agree.

I spoke with ALLIANCE's GM, Mr. Richard FALCONE and agreed to pay an additional further deposit of $3,220.95 leaving an even balance of $14,500. Half of this ($7250) to be paid on collection in two days time and the balance on final delivery in Florida.

May 13, ALL TIME MOVING** of Daytona Beach FL (on behalf of ALLIANCE) arrived and requested immediate payment of $10,150.00 to start . I told the foreman that I had agreed it would be $7250. I refused to pay more . In a subsequent conversation with FALCONE he said ' he made a mistake'.

ALL TIME MOVING completed the packing the following day (May 14) but it was not until one week later on May 20 that after asking, I received a Bill of Lading for a balance of $11,450.00 due on delivery ! This new number was because I was told there was an increase in the cube ( now 3790 ), plus there were a host of other extra charges that were never mentioned.

I have tried numerous times calling ALLIANCE. They either leave you on hold, do not answer or promise to call back but never do. I wanted to get some explanation as to how their experienced estimator could be so wrong and how the price could go from $16,500 to $27,920.- 70% MORE than what I was expecting.

June 7, I spoke with FRANK in the ALLIANCE Sales Dept. and for the umpteenth time told my story and that I just wanted to speak with someone who could help. He offered to put me through to Customer Service ( they never answered) however his parting words sums up this miserable experience with an industry that has a reputation for conning the public. He said " ...you realize your original quote was ONLY an estimate - after all if we told you your move was going to cost nearly thirty thousand dollars you would have looked for someone else to do the job..." THE CLASSIC BAIT and SWITCH !!!

  5. THIS IS A SCAM - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Talked with Jake at Alliance Movers in Boca Raton, FL. Such a smooth talker and promised everything I wanted - but DID NOT DELIVER. Do. NOT. USE. A > BROKER!!! Just terrible! Estimate for $2500 for 1BR/1BA plus kitchen and LR from PHX to DEN. But upon pickup drivers wanted $600 additional. Upon delivery (19 days later!) $200 extra for long delivery fee. Promised delivery 12/17 and rec'd 11 days late! Totally worthless. Damage upon delivery as well. Contracted S & M Relo for movers. They subcontracted another driver and this was also a mistake. He gave 1 hour notice and was supposed to give 24 hour notice. What a complete scam. You have to pay or they don't delivery and charge for storage. Terrible. Do not use! Zero Stars!

  6. Interstate move

Dishonest, horrible, cheats - don't forget the smashed stuff! My moving quote was a brokers fee not the move which added almost 6k. Only the police could help. Be sure you lock your credit card and stop payment on any checks to them. Best defense is to run away! Don't pay them a penny.

  7. Terrible company.

Were supposed to pick up 8/25 and did not and did not provide notice. They rescheduled for 8/27 and again did not show, not notice. They cancelled, saying they could not find a carrier and offered a full refund. Refund has not posted credit card 2 weeks later.

  8. Poor Customer Service.

Customer Service Rep Bill White, in Quality Assurance was surprisingly unprofessional on the phone. My quote ballooned quite a bit upon inventory check, a few days before the move, and he was unable to calmly explain to me the reasons for that. He quickly became frustrated, telling me that the 'good deal' I got was only allowing his company to make $170 profit on the move. He was rude, berated me, wouldn't give me his real name when asked to repeat it.

I was not reassured at all of the quality of the work that the Alliance movers will do, knowing good customer service is based on what profit margin you bring.

  9. Worst company ever! Run!

This is by far the worst moving company in America. They told me lies about my quote and moving costs and then hide behind their contract. The guy Anthony who contacted me every day up until I booked and paid my deposit, told me lies about my packing material being included in my quote and in the end I owed $393 in packing materials on top of my $2211 quote. I have not been able to speak back with Anthony every since I have had a complaint. Even their complaint department suck. DO NOT HIRE this company. I promise you will regret it. I sure do. I went from a $2211 quote to paying about $4700 for my delivery. Read their fine print because that's what they will hold against you.

  10. The Worst Moving Company Ever.

I wish I could give this company negative stars.  I have moved several times and never had this issue with any other company.  It is common knowledge that moving requires various appointments for different services.  I generally schedule the moving crew first and base the other appointments around that.  I scheduled the move for a Monday morning.  I was provided a 2-hour window of time that the movers would show up at.  I later requested a more concrete time because I was moving my things from a storage unit.  It was suggested to me that I sit and wait at my apartment until the movers called me and then later meet me at the storage unit.  When I said that's not really possible, because I had nothing in my apartment, because it was all in storage, they finally agreed to give me a 1-hour window of time.  I showed up the morning of the move at 7:00 am-- the beginning of the window provided to me.  After an hour went by, I called Alliance.  To my surprise, there was no answer. I called again fifteen minutes later-- again no answer.  Finally I tried a different number and reached someone.  They said they were going to call the operations center to see where the driver was.  After thirty minutes of not hearing from anyone, I called back to ask the status.  I was then told (after 2 1/2 hours of waiting outside of a storage unit) that the driver attempted to call me several times that morning, but I never answered.  Apparently, someone put the wrong phone number in the file, so the driver kept calling some random number.  However, the driver did have the correct address.  I'm not sure why the driver didn't just come to the address, but that's the bad business model we're dealing with when it comes to Alliance.  I had to call several other moving companies to find someone to move me in the same day.  All of my other appointments were either cancelled or rescheduled because this company doesn't know how to properly record simple phone numbers.  I will never recommend this company to anyone for any reason.  They are incredibly frustrating and not sympathetic at all.  Moving is hard enough as it is-- to not have movers show up at all is just ridiculous.  Alliance will be reported to the BBB.  .

  11. Great customer service.

We hadn't moved since post-college days, over twenty years ago, and had plenty of trepidations, thanks to hearing plenty of mover-horror stories. Alliance Moving & Storage (239) 288-0476 was located through an internet site. After phone calls to 6 or 7 movers, three were invited to provide a (free) estimate; Alliance Moving & Storage (239) 288-0476 pricing came in the middle, but their representative was a good deal more thorough, and the estimate more detailed, than the others. Because of closing problems, we changed the moving date three times. Every change was quick and easy. We were moving a two-bedroom apartment, bursting at the Alliance Moving & Storage (239) 288-0476 with books (over 80 boxes thereof) from an elevator building in Manhattan to one in San Diego. The move was scheduled to begin at 9-11 AM and estimated to take about 10 hours. Alliance Moving & Storage (239) 288-0476 arrived at 8 AM. They were willing to wait an hour, but as luck would have it, for the first time in five years, the elevator was out of order. The apartment was on the third floor, and the super, wringing his hands, promised to get the elevator working as soon as possible, so the move began. Twelve hours later, it was finished. The elevator started working after the apartment was all but empty. The truck was not finally loaded until after 3 o'clock. I drove off to the airport fully expecting to hear that the movers had decided to quit for the day and deliver our goods next month (lol), but no, they arrived 10 days later and finished the move. Except for some prodding by the head of the crew that a generous tip would be in order ("This was big job, Robert"--and it was), there were no attempts to jack up the price because of the elevator, and no charge for the 8-9 hour. Despite all, the final cost was within $100 of the estimate. Fragile goods were well packed and there was little or no damage. A few small things have not yet been located, but there were no major losses. The men were good natured and worked hard. Whenever I gave them instructions, even if it involved mind-changing or more work, they carried them out exactly. Moving itself is nightmare enough; Alliance Moving & Storage (239) 288-0476 minimized the difficulties. At the end of the day I was thoroughly drained but grateful that the movers had seemed to be on my side.
