  1. Destroyed Valuable Items and Lied to Us.

The distance we moved was less than 7 miles.  We paid extra for the “white glove” service which we were told, meant that we would get the highest skilled packers and movers.  We had china, crystal, handmade pottery, antiques from around the world, numerous pieces of original art, rare books and other collectible items.  The movers refused any direction or advice from us concerning what was valuable, what was an antique and what needed special care.  The white glove service was to have included complete unpacking as well.
When we arrived at our new place, we were mortified.  The movers had taken great pains to wrap a plastic salt and pepper shaker and to wrap a common metal nutcracker, but they had failed to wrap many of our antiques and collectibles.  The movers left us without unpacking anything.  They simply agreed to place the furniture where we wanted but told us that we had to unpack because it was not included.  The company had sent too small of a truck for the job and so much time was lost by having to run the move as if it were two separate moves.  We began to discover broken items immediately upon our opening the first box before the movers could even leave.  We reported this to them but we were not allowed to write anything about the damages on the contracts, even when we started to write on the contract.  The next day we spoke with the salesman who had booked the move, Lenny.  As a good salesman, he said he would make amends.   He sent an email waiving the normal 10-day period during which to file a claim.  Until we could unpack everything we did not know the totality of the claim.  We were asked by Lenny’s “boss”, Mike to take pictures, to take as long as we needed and to remain calm.  He promised that he would correct everything immediately upon receipt of the photographs.  Again, we received an email saying to take our time in assembling the evidence of the claim.  The moving company refused to come to our location to see the actual damaged items, despite our repeated invitations to do so.
In the end, the damage included broken and gouged furniture, broken china, broken antiques, scratched antiques, broken book spines (including on a rare book) because the “white glove” packers simply tossed unwrapped items into boxes when they sensed the move was taking too long.  Some boxes were packed in the most unprofessional manner imaginable.  Heavy items were placed on top of a bamboo steamer so that the steamer was destroyed, for example.  The move was certainly conducted on a most unprofessional manner, in our judgment.  But what happened next astounded us.  After submitting our claim we heard nothing.  Our phone calls went unanswered.  We realized that the moving company was waiting to receive payment from the credit card company and that they were ignoring us until they had been paid.  We contacted the credit card company, which advised us to file a claim.  Now for the best: the moving company’s response was to attack us and to state falsely that they had never extended the 10-day filing period and that they had offered extraordinary insurance which we declined.  The truth is they extended the 10 days and they resisted selling insurance to cover antiques and valuables.  Lenny boasted that during all of the years he has been selling moving services his company has never had a serious claim on any of its moves and that the standard insurance was all that anyone needed.  He added that he did not even know how to locate or complete the forms for extraordinary insurance.  Because the moving company lied to the credit card company they were able to temporarily defeat our claim.  Many items such as antiques, hand-made pottery and artwork were not wrapped, packaged or cared for.  They were simply thrown into a box with other items.  A large three-hole punch was tossed on top of an antique scroll.  The list of what the movers did wrong is enough to make any customer who has belongings which they care for and respect to want to run for the hills.  The foreman refused advice on labeling, or guidance on what was most precious.  He knew ALL.  His team could learn nothing from the customer.  We had over 30 items damaged including furniture, paintings, crystal.  Books were merely thrown in the boxes and most of the covers were torn.  We have over 3000 books and it was horrifying to see them after a less than 7 mile move.  Because of the extent of the damage, Lenny told us that we could take our time taking pictures and documenting the loss. Now, he claims that we did not submit the claim on time.  He also underestimated the amount and weight of belongings.  The original estimate was half of the total amount.  Because he underestimated the amount we also had the wrong size of truck.  This is my second posting.  I removed the first one because the moving company promised to resolve the issue immediately if we removed the posting.  I did remove the posting and they did nothing again.  Lying appears to be the norm within this organization, based on our experience.

  2. They maintained the checklist properly and fulfilled all my demands.

I am moving my business out of state and its not yet starting I am in too much stress doing it. On the process of moving I kept encountering unprofessional movers who after I bargain with them shut my face off and backed out on me.This stress is super affecting me and I am in a verge of giving up when my friend Caddy upon learning that I am looking for a mover recommended Alliance Relocation Systems Inc where a colleague of her hired.I am so happy and glad she suggests this company because I am having a hard time getting a good company. To cut the story short, I hard Alliance and we set the move date. They were ready for the project since they have the necessary tools, materials and equipment to use. They worked as hard and as fast as they can and even managed to make everything tightly secured and well wrapped. overs were very professional and they knew how to get the job done. They maintained the checklist properly and fulfilled all my demands. In the end, it was a flawless move. I will definitely use them again.

  3. They saved us from unprofessional moving company we dealt first.

I booked a move from Maryland to Illinois from a moving company that I would not name in here. In my surprise since we don't have a signed contract yet they cancelled the pick up for the reason that the requested rush delivery in Chicago could not be accomplished. I am so dissappointed, but Alliance Relocation Systems Inc lift me up from getting frustrated to being alighted by getting the job and agreed to a rushed date of delivery. The guys actually are friendly and works finely and carefully especially moving all the laboratory equipments I am moving to Chicago. Aside from a very good pick up job they also were good delivering the items by working fast although with the presence of thick ice and doing it with smile on their faces. They were very pleasant, from the office personnel to the guys on ground picking and delivering. I can't say anything else but thanks guys.

  4. Patient with an uncooperative senior citizen.

Our move is not that big but in a difficult side. My mom needs to move to an assisted living home but she is very hesitant. We are very concern on her well being and we can't be there all the time to look after her. Leny was the customer service personnel whom we communicate with in Alliance Relocation Systems Inc and she is just so nice and did an excellent job of coordinating with people from the institution, since they have some instructions and rules that the movers need to follow. The personnel were very patient to my mother and very sweet and kind to her even though she don't really want to leave her apartment. Thank you Alliance Relocation System Inc. You are a big help. We will definitely use your service again.

  5. My atv and motorcycle collections got there.

I have about five motorcycle and atv's and a bed and some furniture that nees to be shipped out to florida. I moved to Florida just recently and I am quite a satisfied customer. They gave me a fair price for my items although I was charged for bulky items. I like their service especially the driver who delivered my items. He is quite a fun and very witty guy. He works hard too. He never just supervise the guys to unload my items but also helps on unloading it. Their agent also was updated. She knows where my items are and have answered when I called to ask for the status of my belongings. Well I will surely use them again for sure. Good job guys.

  6. My masterpieces arrived safely.

I am a self-employed artist and currently had an opportunity to open a new gallery in Lexington, KY. Definitely I need a mover to move my paintings to the gallery. I hired Alliance Relocation Systems to do it. I am too much crucial about the condition of the paintings since this are all going to be in a sophisticated gallery. When they picked up the paintings, they wrapped and padded it good before they put it in a crate with dividers. They arrived 6 days later. Mike is such a very good guy, He managed everything and picked up the right people to work with me. Steve is the driver who delivered everything and I ended up bragging how professional this company to my friends and family. Good job and Keep it up.

  7. They moved my expensive antique furniture.

I just recent inherited numbers of antique items from my deceased mother. I have an antique shop back in Dallas but she lives in Maryland. I found Alliance Relocation System and hired them to do the job of moving the items for me. They did the packing and everything to the antique items and they delivered it as it was not touched. I recommended this company on any kind of move.

  8. The better service I got from a moving company so far.

I just recently bid goodbye to my bachelor status and got married to a beautiful young woman. We are very compatible in so many ways especially on our hobby to read books. That's why we have one full room of book collections and those are our priceless pocessions. A leading University on Arizona offered me a job and I could'nt turn down the offer. That's why we decided to move. I knew I wouldn't have time to pack everything, so I hired Alliance Relocation Systems to help pack on everything.I was left alone to pack everything since my wife needs to go on a training for her company overseas.I decided to use Alliance Relocation Systems because I hired them to move us locally before. So I know how to deal with them and how they do their job. I called them to get an estimate and they were very clear and straightforward and explained really well how they do estimates so they end up pretty accurate. We settled everything and scheduled the move to the following day. They came in a day after and showed up 10:00 am sharp. They introduced themselves and ask me details about the house(stairs, pets, children, etc.) and see what needs to be moved. The three movers who came stayed up in the kitchen packing all the fragile items, disassembling some of the furniture and packed and loaded to the truck. These guys moves with speed! before I know it everything is done and was in the truck. They were such cool people and made what could've been an extremely stressful day to a very convenient and stress free day. Basically the move ended up after about 7 hours. Once again, they were very professional about payment and making sure that I understand completely what I'm paying for. Overall, this is the best moving company I have ever dealt with! What I needed was a moving company that would get the job done, pack, wrap, crate box and load all our belongings and take good care of our precious books. They were the right one for this job becuase we got everything as we requested plus they gave a good bonus by being so pleasant, courteous and friendly
Best movers and I will recommend for sure.

  9. They were really helpful to us.

We wanted to thank Alliance Relocation systems inc for a job well done. We are supposed to do everything by ourselves but we cannot since I am 9 months pregnant and my husband have a cast on one arm and leg. I packed some clothes and some small items on boxes and that's all. Lucky us, these people includes the packing in their service. Less hassle for us. The pick up went so well that they even cleaned up everything after loading it on their truck. During delivery despite the heavy rains they still manage to finish the jobs without any interuptions. They are ready rain or shine. Luckily we have a long wide driverway in the new house and they managed to pull the back of the trailer in front of our garage door. The result, Dry items. That's very cool. They helped us unpack and I point them where to put the furniture and its fully done. They even helped me open the boxes. They understand we cannot maneuver everythign due to our situation. I am so happy with them and I truly appreciate their kindness. -Walden Family.

  10. Affordable but good service!

I recently graduated from College and got a job out of my home state Maryland. I need to move and I found some movers online. As a fresh graduate I am in sultry tight budget so I need to find the cheapest that I can get. I found a lot of moving companies online. Most gave a good pricing but Alliance Relocation Systems gave the best I can afford. I hired them and scheduled the move.I did not expect the very good service at all but I am quite amazed. They were seriously professional on their craft. They are ready, well equipped and fast workers. They finished packing, all my stuffs and loaded on their truck. While it was stored on their warehouse something delayed my move for days. So I called them to ask for change on delivery date. Its quite surprising, they said okay as long as the items where not yet loaded for delivery. All in all its a good move for me. No stolen or broken items and they are quite impressive on the delivery. All of my items where physically accounted for in front of me and they have me check it before putting inside the apartment. I would definitely refer them if ever someone asked me to.

  11. Bad service, damaged items, insurance runaround.

They damaged multiple items, damaged the walls at our new home, delivered a lot of items dirty, and we think their storage infested our furniture with bugs. When we tried to contact them to claim insurance on our damaged items and walls, they were completely unresponsive. Did not return calls or emails.

  12. Poor interstate service.

Horrible service - I wouldn't use this company again if they were the last movers on earth. I read reviews prior to hiring this company and overall they were positive, but my experience is less so. My furniture was picked up on December 12th.   I hadn't received any information from them so I sent an email asking for delivery information on December 18th.  I finally wound up calling on the 20th to get information.  When I told them that I had sent multiple emails before getting a response I was told I should have called.  I told them that I was busy and email was easier to keep track of and was told that I must have used the wrong email address, to which I said I used the email address they wrote me from.I was speaking to Joseph and when I told him I was getting frustrated since it was 8 days since my furniture had been picked up but had no idea when it would be delivered.  He said of course it would be delivered, did I think they wanted to keep it?  He was such a [EDIT] I hung up and left a voicemail for someone in sales since that was the only other number I had.   They finally decided to respond to the earlier emails and said that my stuff was being loaded from the warehouse and would leave soon.  Since I didn't leave my boxes in a warehouse I wanted to know where it was - they never bothered to respond to that. The delivery was made Christmas Eve in a huge truck that was clearly crammed with belongings of multiple people.  The boxes I sent were almost all new and in excellent condition, the boxes I received were bent and split from being poorly loaded. The delivery man had hired a local mover to assist him.  When they started unpacking they placed something that I suspected was my screen leaning on the truck and started putting stuff that was associated with a different move in front of it.  I tried to tell him that I thought that it was my screen and he said 'Lady, I'm a professional and know what I'm doing." My bookcase was unloaded and when the blanket was removed it was clearly damaged.  My bathroom storage unit had been taken apart (not in my presence when loaded), and a shelf on the screen had been removed but the screws were not there.  His comment was that he didn't load it, it wasn't his fault.  The two movers moved everything in the garage and didn't give me a chance to look things over.  When I asked the driver he was going to mark down what was damaged, he said yes, which  I assumed meant he would go over the boxes to mark down damage, but he got in the cab of his truck and drove off.  He did not put anything taken apart by your movers back together and did not mark down any damage I found.I called them after the delivery regarding the damage and left a voicemail and they didn't respond.  I finally sent them an email on the 31st to follow up and was told that the move was insured and I needed to file a claim.  I filed a claim on December 31, 2012, the movers called and requested that I send them pictures on January 29 - I forwarded the earlier email to them again. On February 2nd I was notified by the insurance company that their agreement with the movers had been terminated and they would  no longer be handling the claim.  They indicated that the movers would be responsible for the damage.  It is now April 17th and I still haven't received any additional information from Alliance despite three requests for status. .

  13. Overlll excellent service.

I moved two weeks ago. Such an upheaval to my existence that I'm just now writing this review. The movers from Alliance Relocation Systems  were good . I booked them for a Saturday morning arrival between 9 and 10  and they got there at about 8:30. A bit earlier than the expected time. The team of 2 movers din’t waste a single minute and knew what they had to do , they delegated tasks amongst themselves and worked quickly and were friendly and professional. I had an unreasonable amount of stuff crammed into a two bedroom apartment, and they got it all moved into a two bedroom and were done by about 1 pm. Every single penny was worth it.

  14. Excellent.

I recently moved from Silver Spring, Md to San Diego, California. I have moved several times in my life, but I must say I that I had the best moving experience with Alliance Relocation Systems.  They were on time, courtesy, efficient and not to mention the discounts they gave me because I was a student.  Most importantly they were honest to me.  I have been taken advantage in the past by another company so it was refreshing to have a company be honest and always answer my questions in a timely manner so I would have that piece of mind. I definitely recommend Alliance Relocation Systems for my move or any of my friends or family's moves.

  15. Rip Off Alert.

This company is not only a rip off but completely unprofessional. They arrived 4 and 1/2 hours late after numerous phone calls claiming that they were 'right around the corner', '15 minutes away', 'stuck in traffic' and my favorite 'the truck was broken down'. The original quote was for $1000 but the job ended up costing me over $2600.  They attempted to extort another $975 when they finally arrived in order to move my things into the house. They flat out refused to reassemble the furniture or even unpack it from the furniture clothes.  I had to move everything myself and torn the meniscus in my knee doing it.  I now require surgery to get it fixed. The company ignore any and all attempts to contact them and even ignore complaints from the Better Business Bureau.  I have also filed with the Attorney Generals office in the State of Maryland in addition to writing reviews anywhere I find these snakes. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!! They damaged the following items:Brand New 46" LED TV ripped the cushions of my sectional sofa missing boxes missing pieces of my queen bed so it's useless. I would include photos but I'm having issues uploading them.  Feel free to contact me for more information. Protect yourself and avoid this company!
