  1. Contract move from Chicago to Seattle, everything missing or destroyed

In a word, disaster. I think they are hiring drug addicts off the street. Of the things that arrived, almost all was broken or soiled, and over a dozen boxes missing. Then they had a pretend sympathetic person that is actually a treacherous con-woman who will find any way to deflect responsibility. They are simply criminal.

  2. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

Got a fixed quote from them said it was guaranteed and it wouldn't change upon arrival. They arrived an hour late to start moving our things (and this is in Chicago and we only have the parking reserved for a certain window of time) and they promptly changed the price twice on us after arrival, making it about $2000 above the agreed amount. When my furniture arrived about a month later 5 of my chairs and 2 of my tables arrived BROKEN. The legs had been snapped off of each of them. Filed a claim and after 6 months they respond to us and say our claim has been closed because of lack of authorization - they didn't get approval on the settlement offer from the moving company. This statement doesn't even make sense to me. Needless to say NEVER use this company, it is a scam and a joke. Worst moving experience of my life. Would never recommend them to anyone. Would give 0 stars if I could.

  3. Long distance Move IL to CO

Avoid at all Cost. Quoted one rate and told me they guaranteed it wouldnt exceed that Amount. Actual moving company that came said the estimated cubic feet was 60% off. Had no choice but to pay. Also didnt disclose other fees charged by the actual mover, like packing materials (shrink Wrap and glass protection, etc.) Lied about being fully insured. Told me replacement value but its actually $0.60 per lb. of your furniture weight. Final cost was almost 100% more than quoted. Billy, who said he was the owner, wouldnt return my calls. Actual moving company told me that Allied does this every time! They get your business and then the moving company gets yelled at. This company should be shut down but until then DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

  4. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST

We had scheduled a move frome Boise, ID to Elizabethtown, KY in March to happen on June (2021). They took our deposit and said they would be in touch with us. They never followed-up as contracted and they no-called and no-showed for the scheduled days of pick up. They wouldn't return our calls or give us any updates. Now we have to make other arrangements - we spent money on hotels for no reason and completely inconvenienced. Avoid them at any cost! I'm calling the BBB today!

  5. They Lie and steal your money

I hired this company for my move from CA to SC, they contracted MD transportation to transport our items. We were told they have 21 days to deliver our items, that day came and went. When MD picked our items up they charged an additional 3k for extra cubic feet, I paid Allied a 6k deposit and wired MD $8400 on the day of pick up. After 51 days of waiting for our things, Ronnie from MD transportation told me Allied lowballed my quote ($17988.97) and he would not move me for that amount. He said he would load my items and give me a new price and if I did not agree, he would unload my things and send me the key to the storage. I got my key and am now renting 2 U-hauls for 8k so I can get my stuff after almost 2 months. Do not hire this company, it has been a nightmare, they have rude employees and Billy White & Ronnie are the worst!

  6. Scam Alert - These guys will take your money and not show up

Townhouse move from MD to CA. Took the initial deposit and then the truck never showed up. I had to make multiple calls to schedule the truck but no response. The customer service department reaches 1 person and that lady will continue to delay things saying they are trying to reach the carrier. 3 days later, I still do not have any mover.

  7. Scam

3 bedroom House, did not move all contents quote $9,846.76. The company they hired charged a $19,262.68. CT to FL. (too much went on to list) If they say to verify with the DOT site using DOT # and MC# it will look good. Because they are not the movers. Your complaint goes to the company they hire. My story is not just mine as I was watching the local news in FL they were doing an investigative story regarding Allied Moving & Storage and PriceRite movers of NJ who they hired. I have put in a formal complaint with the DOT for both companies. I have never been this upset, cheated, or robbed. I did my research, or thought I did. My move was the end of November 2020 and I'm writing this in April 2021 so to put emotions aside. if using Allied Moving and Storage... Stop. The financial toll was extreme and the emotional toll was worse. Brett, Bill, Robert, Tammy. How do you sleep at night? PriceRite out of New Jersey is disgusting, I believe they shut down and now go under a different name. Maybe Easy Moving, LLC out of Paterson NJ. They should be shutdown. The abuse from them is every fear you have of a long distance move.

  8. Terrible Moving Experience

Allied Moving and Storage are moving brokers who don’t care about your move once you sign the contract and pay the deposit.

After we signed the contract and paid the deposit, the customer service was nonexistent. They’re supposed to call you twice before the move to check in and see how your inventory has changed and how that impacts your quote, but we never received those calls. However, when we called to verify the details of our move less than 24 hours before our moving day, my husband was yelled at and hung up on by an employee of Allied Moving and Storage. Then they tried telling us we had to pay more money to keep our scheduled move date which was less than 24 hours away or we’d have to reschedule the move for 7-10 days out! When my husband told them we’d just reschedule and then cancel within 72 hours, allowing us to get out of the contract and them to keep 15% of our deposit, they suddenly were able to honor our scheduled move date.

The 3rd party movers contracted by Allied Moving and Storage had no knowledge of the agreement we had with Allied that the movers would provide TV boxes, lamp boxes, a dish pack and kitchen packing services. The movers had not been informed that they were expected to provide these services and boxes even though that was part of the cost of the move. The 3rd party movers ended up charging us $1000 over the quote after loading the truck.

Allied Moving and Storage misrepresented the delivery timeframe for our move. We were told by Allied that delivery would be in 3-5 days, but after loading the truck, the 3rd party movers advised they had 21 BUSINESS days to deliver our belongings. It was a month before our household items were delivered. We incurred additional expenses making our house semi-livable while we waited a month for our furniture, clothing, kitchen items, etc. to be delivered.

Allied Moving and Storage did not respond to my direct formal complaint and has yet to respond to the complaint I filed with the Better Business Bureau. Save yourself a lot of money and frustration and DO NOT hire these brokers.

  9. Allied Moving & Storage LLC-out of Ft Lauderdale, FL

Do not do business with this company. I requested a refund of 2k from them following their policy guidelines of within 72 hours and by email. I also called and emailed every day. They are refusing to refund my deposit and say they are keeping it in "escrow" for future moves......I'm actually going to have to hire a lawyer. This company is horrible and will cheat you any way they can.
