Horrible price gouging
We got a quote that seemed fair (similar to cost when we moved 2 years prior). Everything done over phone and email (no in person eval). In the end, charged us 3x the quote and we had to throw out lots of stuff they wouldn’t take. Made the moving experience 10x worse and broke the bank.
Scam. Misleading and unprofessional.
The broker never had a site visit. Asked questions over phone. House size, large items, etc. Gave me a decent quote. They charge by footage and not weight. Guaranteed that is cheaper. On moving day 4 guys show up 6 hours late. looked at everything & said, oh you have much more than we expected. The 8,400.00 jumped to 19,975. From Calif. to Washington State. I had Escrow deadlines and they knew we were on a time frame. so disrespectful to my house. One person used my bathroom upstairs and plugged it with paper towels for toilet paper. Disgusting!!! Caught them sitting on my White love seat chit chatting with their coffee cups sitting on my cherrywood table. Had their drill laying on my dinning table.Left cans and trash on my counters. When the furniture arrived my flat screen TV had a crushed corner on the screen. They took it with them when they left. Thankful I took Pictures. Glass on two wall hanging pictures broken. Took everything out of dresser drawers and dumped them in bottom of boxes. Had Pictures on canvas thrown in box with vacuum cleaner. Left behind pictures on walls. Left things in kitchen drawers and cabinets. Silverware and baking pans.
I am 78 year old female. I lost my husband 2 months ago. I feel so violated and taken advantage of. They would not remove one thing off the truck until I gave them the balance o 9700.00 US money orders. No check or credit cards. Scammers make sure they don't get scammed.
