  1. SCAM

First off, we were severely underestimated. Ending up having to pay almost double what we were quoted & we sold a lot of stuff. Second, it took them 5 WEEKS to deliver our stuff. They LOST my headboard and my dog stroller. This was 4 MONTHS ago and we still haven’t been paid and they will not answer their phone, text or email. Do not use this company if you value your time, money and personal belongings. We regret using them and are now out of a bed since I had a sleigh bed- can’t put the bed together without all pieces.

  2. This company is now closed - do not use

I was assigned to them by a broker. When they arrived they said my volume should be increased to 1,968 cu. ft. It took them two loads to empty my house because the truck they brought was too small. When the delivery was made out-of-state it was delivered in a 26' Budget truck that has a 1,698 total capacity. They agreed that they overcharged but I could not get my ~$2,500 overcharge refunded. There was a lot of damage too. They never return my calls/emails and a certified letter was picked up at the post office but now no one answers the phone. The broker has ghosted me as well. The 1,500 mile move of 1,698 cu. ft. cost me ~$18K with some damage. The broker was Safeway Moving Systems LLC. Buyer beware!

  3. Always Moving is a SCAM - Avoid at All Costs

Used Always Moving to move a 2 bedroom apt from Atlanta to Nashville. Here are the 4 ways we were scammed:

1- They bait and switch you on price. Our initial estimate was $3400. Then a week prior they reassessed and said, okay MAX it was be $9000. Day of, the lead mover said based on how we charge ($7 per cubic ft) this will be $13,000. For a 2 bedroom. Con artist right there.

2- Based on that news, we stopped what they had done so far in the day. Rented our own Penske truck and moving supplies and did the rest ourselves. Then we only had to pay $5600, which was still a lot of money. Other ppl we know who used a dif company got the same move for way less for ALL of their 2-bedroom stuff.

3- They pack like shit, but don't replace at cost. At most, if they break something they will pay you $6/lb. If you waive that, it's $.06/lb. Needless to say, they broke: a pitcher, 2 vases, a serving tray, various LeCreuset cookwares, AND they LOST a box of my husband's clothes and mysteriously... our really nice bluetooth speaker...hi thieves. I'm telling you they straight up THREW things in boxes without bubble wrap or paper around them. They also don't hang clothes in clothes boxes that are designed to have to bar across them. Just threw them in.

4- Their dates are bogus. They said they will deliver on X date. But what they meant is X date + the two-week time frame thereafter.

Long story short, go with a local mover. PLEASE help them go out of business. This is my 4th interstate move and I've never had so many things go wrong, get broken, and I've never had anything get lost. "Always Moving" away from the law and doing what's right.

  4. They left!

After countless efforts to get Always Moving to declare a delivery date and time, they showed up, deposited our sons goods and then without warning LEFT! They did not unpack goods from boxes. They did not set up beds or dining room table. They left in such haste that they didn’t inform us they were leaving and even left their own packing blankets behind. This whole move was a disaster start to finish. Stay clear of Always Moving.

  5. No star for this company.

Whoever was the customer service working on 7/21/21 will be fired. She is a bad representation of the company. She was nasty and incompetent. She didn’t have the decency to announce the company and sounded like she was in some trailer park looking to scam people. Very I professional. Do not use them. She threatened I won’t get my items on my requested moving date and told me I won’t speak to a manager because she is the voice and I won’t get through. I am contacting my attorney because they deserved to be sued.

  6. Worst Moving Experience Ever - Beware!

I could write a book about our nightmare experience with this outfit (I can't call them a moving company because I believe they are a complete scam). We've moved five times, and this was the absolute worst experience. They had zero respect for us or our belongings - we had major damage to our furniture, and there were many missing items. They could not have cared less.

Bottom line: If you value your belongings DO NOT USE THEM!!!

  7. A VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST COMPANY!!!

I researched movers for my son who was moving his family from San Diego, CA to Centerton, AR. I ended up recommending Always Moving, Inc. due to our sales rep, David, telling me we needn't worry about pickup or delivery times. He explained that their average time for delivery is 5-7 days and only RARELY would it take longer. I explained that they were moving with 3 kids & it would have to be delivered in a timely manner....no worries according to David. This is what sealed the deal and I recommended them to my son who signed the contract. The pickup was October 27, 2020 and delivery was December 26, 2020 so this was a total lie (one of many). When it wasn't delivered by November 10, I called David who put me on hold for 23 minutes and then the line went dead. I called him back and he told me there was currently a truck picking up loads in California and ours would be on the truck...another lie. Customer service told me there hadn't been a truck picking up loads and they didn't know when there would be one available. They ended up listening to David's recorded calls and admitted to me that he lies to all of his customers and they were quite apologetic at that point...even offering a discount/refund for these issues. At this point, I wanted to know where the load was being stored because waiting indefinitely was not going to work. I was prepared to hire another mover or go get it myself in a Haul...but they would NOT tell us the storage location. Once the load was finally on the way, the dispatcher called to let us know the driver would have to receive the balance due before unloading. I expected this but called to ask about the promised discount. The initial deposit was made with a credit card and the remainder was paid in cash at pickup and before delivery. I wanted to know why we were paying in advance for a discount we were supposed to be receiving. It's not like this was a damage claim. The dispatcher assured me it had to be paid in full first and a claim submitted later to recoup any Late Days and to receive the discount. The claim was submitted on January 27, 2021 and we've heard NOTHING...no one will answer or return our calls or emails. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! It's very unprofessional and dishonest and there's no follow through/up at all...just a bunch of empty promises that they can't or won't keep. Complete and total waste of money.

  8. Movers from Hell

Our things were loaded into a truck in Nov 2020. We waited 69 days for our belongings. We could never get answers. Customer service is horrid. They lost a leg of an antique table, broke the leg of an antique buffet, broke a table top, broke the exercise bike and many other things were dented or finish worn off. I worked on a claim and they assured me it would be a high priority to handle our claim after our bad experience. That was in January. Still no word from them and now the phones are all out of service. No integrity. Never listen to the sales talk. Lied to us over and over.

  9. Big Move

They were late picking up, arriving with two rental trucks, not company trucks. Our items were to be stored for one week prior to delivery on 9/29/20. Truck arrived 10/1/20; again not a company truck. When unloading, they allowed a wheeled tool box to roll right out of truck. There were damages to numerous furniture, items missing and we received someone else's things. The truck left our drive after midnight. Filed a claim with 18 photos and NEVER heard back from the company. They didn't respond to the BBB either. VERY DISAPPOINTED in what was promised to be a smooth move, with 'every effort taken' to make sure we're satisfied (per moving consultant Sonya Clark).

  10. Out of state move

You can never reach anyone on the phone . I tried 40 time's today . Had to call Priceline who arranged the move . Charged 3,400.00 over orginal estimate , did not deliver on the delivery date . I was told they have 7 day's after the delivery date. The additional hotel and boarding for my pets is 1,600.00 . They don't care I was told they will call me 24 hours before delivery . Terrible company .

  11. Horrible movers

Always Moving is a horrible company. Our movers were supposed to arrive between 8 and 11 am. They arrived at 4 pm. We had no idea when we would receive our furniture. Finally they called (on a Tuesday( to say it would arrive the next day on a Wednesday. We waiting around at our empty house all day Wednesday and they did not show until Thursday. Finally, they damaged a bookshelf badly. We filed a claim and were told we would receive the funds. It has been 7 months and we never received our money. We are constantly given the run around when we call. Do not book!!! They made our move so stressful.

  12. The worst of the worst

I paid $14,000 for white glove packing, unpacking and moving services from Northern Virginia to North Carolina. What I received were delays, damaged walls and stairs, and broken or missing items that have neither been recovered nor settled.

The company showed up two days late in a truck that was so old and nasty that it broke down before they could even get boxes loaded. I had done a virtual tour and shared the number of rooms I had, the stairs and furniture. They knew the size house I had. Yet, they showed up with a truck that was too small and literally told me it was that truck, or nothing. The truck didn't even have their name identified on it.

After delays and claims of being too tired to work, the crew finally got things packed. They literally threw fragile items in boxes that they did not mark, tag or inventory. We just had boxes with stuff in them that had no room or item correlation. Did I mention that they demanded extra money before they would start work because of my stairs - which I had already shared with the sales agent and during the virtual tour.

When they finally arrived in North Carolina they complained about the stairs again and demanded more money... in cash before they would move anything. After two days of putting boxes where they wanted them to be, the "leader' of the crew announced that his girlfriend decided to visit from West Virginia and he was leaving the crew. Not only did he abandon me, he also abandoned the crew and left them to work constantly till midnight. He arrived a day later, in a Confederate shirt and told me they could do no more and it was time for them to leave. The move was half done.

I have tried, without success to get someone to finalize the claim I filed. I sent pictures of the horrible packing and damage to both structures. I was asked by "Courtnie" in the claims department how much it would take to settle my claim. I told her and I have not heard back from anyone since.

They leave me no choice but to file a civil suit, contact the Department of Transportation, and the consumer affairs divisions of the attorneys general of both Virginia and North Carolina. In addition, I am filing complaints with the bBetter Business Bureau. I don't want anyone else to ever go through what I have.

Simply the worst of the worst. I have moved 9 times in 15 years for work, and Always Moving has been the only nightmare. Of course since they have my money, the company no longer answers phones, and everyone has gone ghost. They mistreated this wrong one this time. I will see this through to the end.

Run, don't walk away from these crooks.

  13. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM

THEY SCHEDULED THE DATE AND TOOK OUR $2000, after they received the money they changed the date and said it was our fault, we now have hired a lawyer to deal with them. AWFUL PEOPLE

  14. Severe Damage/loss of goods and still not settled

I would caution all in terms of allowing this team to move you. I started with Safeway Moving and they brokered this job out to Always moving - from Charlotte, NC to Washington DC- after over a week of confusion on when our belongings would be delivered- the worst part was that we had over $4k of damage. Dining room table split down the middle, Bed frames for both rooms broken and wood busted as they weren’t wrapped well. Over 40 dishes/valuables broken. China cabinet broken - and as this move was on 1/1/2001 as of 2/13 customer service has communicated that they have 90 days to review claims.

I spent over $10k on this move.

Beware - the service is an issue and it’s very unfortunate

  15. Good Work!!

Did a good job on a very stressful day. The guys very super helpful and professional. Thank you! Will recommend using them.
