I never received my household goods.
Americawide Movers (with USDOT 2571123) picked up my household goods from my home in CO in July23, 2015 and suppose to delivered to MD in Aug05,2015, the delivery never happened. I called them thousands times and every time brought up the delivery of my household goods, they kept changing the delivery date even though we had a contract. All the time they tell me within 48 hours the driver of the truck would be calling you and He never called me. Today is Jan 25th, 2016 and I didn’t receive my household goods yet. I have been trying to reach the Office, and Customers Support line, and they learned my phone number and just hang up on me. I also, have been trying to call the Operation Manager and she refuses to take my calls. I paid $1050 when they picked up my goods on July 23rd and before move.
More than month and half my two and half year’s old daughter and us sleeping on air mattress and Sofa it was just horrible. We had to pay thousands of dollars to buy kitchen stuff, living room, carpet, tables, clothes, shoes, Bathroom goods, Mattress, Sheets, Blankets and etc. ,tons of priceless personal stuff like family picture and the things that you attached to them emotionally and we hat to start our life from zero again.
Worst company in America.
Paid this company over 3 grand to move from Kansas to Washington and they have completely stopped answering any calls and emails that I originally received quotes from no longer work. My girlfriend moved with me and she is disabled and is in a wheel chair. Not only have we had our property stolen but all of her medical supplies and standing chair that alone cost 10 grand are now gone. We are trying to get by and are seeking legal action.
42 Days Since Pickup and No Delivery.
Americanwide Movers picked up my furniture and household goods on August 8, 2015. I called the company on August 15, 21, 24, leaving messages on the voice mail asking for a return call. On August 26, I spoke with Eva who said, "The truck will be loaded this week and I will call you with a delivery date." I received no calls from this company. On September 4, I called and left 4 voice mails asking for return calls.On September 10, I again spoke with Eva who said, "The move isn't scheduled yet and I will call you back with the delivery date." I now suspect that my furniture and household goods are gone and I will never see them again. I have filed a complaint with FMCS and the BBB. The BBB has 10 complaints about this company. I have contacted a lawyer and hope to move toward litigation soon.
Buyer Beware.
I contracted with Americawide Movers LLC. for July 28th pick up date at which time I paid the driver $640 in cash as well as the $500 I had to pay as a deposit. It is now September 18, 2015 and still waiting on my furniture. I had to go out and re purchase furniture I already own once again, I have spent over $2500 on furniture let alone having to eat out before we decided to go out and buy new cookware, dishes just the essentials. This is ridiculous stay away from this unscrupulous company. I have left numerous messages in an attempt to regain my belongings. I have contacted DOT the next contact will be the Attorney General in Colorado.
