1. AUTHORITY MOVING GROUP IS A COMPLETE SCAM

   THESE PEOPLE ARE A COMPLETE FRAUD AND SCAM. THEY PROVIDE YOU A VERY ACCEPTABLE QUOTE AT THE BEGINNING, AT THE TIME OF MOVING, GAVE YOU AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE THAT IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. IF YOU ASK THEM TO REFUND THE DEPOSIT WHICH IS 33% OF THE TOTAL COST, THEY STARTED TO TALK ABOUT REFUND POLICY THAT SAYS IF YOU PASS 72 HOURS, YOUR DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDABLE. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM. I AM HAVING REALLY DIFFICULT TIME TO GET THE DEPOSIT BACK. BE AWARE OF THEIR TRAP.

2. Save yourself and don't use

   DO NOT USE AUTHORITY MOVING GROUP! At first the sales reps will be extremely nice to you and then as soon as payment is made then they will disappear. It is bait & switch as I was originally quotes $2k and then when the actual movers showed up they charged me $3800. In the end, I ended up paying close to $4300 for a one bedroom. I had less than 20 moving boxes and only a few items of furniture. The movers showed up 1.5 hours early, they never had my updated inventory list, then they waited 40 days to ship the furniture from Seattle. It arrived on the 50th day and they showed up at 7am. It was the worst moving experience. Imagine thinking you are only paying $2k for a move and then they charge you more than double. They were not honest with me and completely misleading. I've been in property management most of my life and I think this moving company was the worst experience.

3. Do Not Use This Company

   Do not use this company for your move. They are not the movers, they are brokers who contract your job out to local shippers & drivers. I contracted Authority Moving Group for my out of state move. They were incredibly responsive while booking my job and taking my deposit, but after my truck was loaded and all my things were put in storage they stopped replying to my calls, emails, and text messages. I was quoted 14 business days for my move. It has been 20 business days now and I still don't know whether my shipment left Washington or when it will arrive at my new home. I have the phone number of the person who loaded my truck and have texted him multiple times for an ETA. He responds maybe every third day and has told me more than once that my shipment would be on the way soon and that he would send me the name and number of the driver. I have been told twice that my shipment would leave the next day and twice I've received no response when asking for confirmation the truck had left and an estimated arrival date. I've called the main office and left multiple voicemails. It took two voicemails and two emails before I received a call back. The customer service representative said she would find out the status of my shipment and call me back within a few hours. It's been 3 days and she hasn't called me back. I called them again and got a rep on the line so I could complain about this experience and ask for some kind of compensation for my time and the fact that everything I own is in a storage facility somewhere and I likely won't get my things until after Christmas. This rep said she had to speak to a manager and she promised she would call me back the next day. It is now the next day. No phone call. No response to the multiple text messages I sent. No response to the multiple emails I've sent. No response to the tweets I sent. As I write this I STILL do not have my belongings and I STILL do not have an estimated date of arrival. This is by far the worst customer experience I have ever had and I am going to find every avenue I can to blast this message out to potential customers.

4. Great overall business

   Authority moving group did a move for me from SC to FL. They were very reasonably priced and very willing to accommodate my move. Once my items were picked up, the customer service department was more than helpful, specifically Alani, she was always very helpful and very informative. The overall experience was refreshing. My items were delivered within two weeks of being picked up undamaged and placed in my house wherever I asked them to put it. I would recommend Authority Moving Group to anyone moving cross country.

5. Authority moving group

   Authority Moving group moved me cross country last month, from Brentwood CA, to Atlanta Ga. my move was super smooth from start to finish. My sales representative David was awesome . He talked me through the entire process . My pricking was high but, for the service I received it was well worth it. Customer service was amazing. Very reassuring , and always willing to update me on my move. Micheal was so nice and always calling back when I needed an update.

6. SCAM COMPANY

   SCAM third party company. I will file a lawsuit with them. Please be advised to anyone who sees this, they will lowball you acting like a moving company and once you pay a deposit, they will not refund, lie, hire random people, then they scam the moving company they hire and it all comes out of your own pocket. I ended up paying five times more what they quoted at the end and they only moved a quarter of the items (with all the exact measurements I gave them promising me to move everything on my list with the lowball quote I believed) they will be friendly at first and will trick you. Contract disappears in your email later on once you pay the deposit so make sure to save it before. Glad I did so I can file my lawsuit. They also pretend to give you a discount at first to lure you in. Had no idea this was a broker company then they scam you and the moving company they hire. The current moving company cannot get a hold of them at all regarding the deposit money so it’s coming out of my pocket. Amaya is the customer service rep, Steven is the first who lured me in with the low ball deposit, and “customer service manager” there who lies about when movers are going to show up. I’m so glad I saved voice records with all of their voices and promises. BEWARE of this scam company.

7. Huge thank you

   The service from Authority Moving Group is excellent. They’re whole crew did an amazing job. I especially want to shout out Michael who was so helpful setting up everything for me over the phone. Our movers arrived on time. They packed and loaded me quickly and I was charged EXACTLY what I was quoted.
   
   They were able to move us from Dallas to New Orleans. They were so fast and they handled everything with responsibility and care. I highly recommend Authority Moving Group. Thank you so much.

8. First company I’ll call

   Authority Moving Group provided a 5 star moving experience without a doubt. I found them on Google and when I reached out Alani was wonderful and helped me understand everything. I decided to go with Authority both because of other positive experiences I read about and because they were very transparent about rates and travel times. I am so happy with my experience and my move was seamless. I would use them again. In fact, if I ever need a moving company again they will be the first company I call.

9. Bait And Switch Scam

   Steve Ross at Authority Moving Group reduced my quote to price match a competitor in order for me to sign up and give half down deposit. I gave 50% deposit for a move from New Jersey to Florida. The movers disassembled the dresser mirror, bed frame, dining table and sofa and I was told the items will be assembled upon delivery. They are not movers, they broker out the moves to other companies. When the movers came to pick up, they showed up with a rented Budget Rental box truck. Two of the three men barely spoke English and I was told the cubic feet doubled and had to pay an additional $1,099.00. At that point I felt I had no choice since I gave them the deposit and now they have my furniture. I called Customer Service inquiring what doubled in space and was told a they did not know. When the furniture arrived in Florida, Joshua the driver was rude, nasty and did not assemble the items. Trying to reach Steve and Customer Service was like chasing a runaway train. Awful experience.

10. Our move could not have gone better.

    I used Authority Moving Group for my move from Denver, CO to Killeen, TX. The movers themselves were phenomenal in every sense of the word. They were courteous, polite, professional, and treated everything we own with the utmost care. We didn’t just hire them for moving but for packing out things as well and they did a wonderful job. Up until this point I have always moved by myself and now that I’ve had this experience I don’t think I’ll ever move without Authority Moving Group. The experience really was THAT good. I highly recommend this company and will be hiring them again. Our move could not have gone better.

11. I highly recommend using Authority Moving Group

    I highly recommend using Authority Moving Group for your next move. Amaya took our initial calls and Stephen helped us plan out the whole thing. They were both wonderful. They helped me understand how everything worked and if I had any questions they were very responsive. The company was just fantastic. They arrived on time and were on top of everything as soon as they arrived.
    
    Our move was long distance but they made sure that everything was packed safely and protected. When they arrived at our destination everything was put in the right rooms and even assembled for us. I couldn’t have asked for better service and I saved so much money going with them. They were worth every penny I paid and I’m so grateful for their help.

12. Poor, misleading and dishonest!!

    Owen scheduling me for my move and said all the right things and quoted a price that was within our budget. Well, you get what you pay for. I have tried calling Owen and emailing him and he has not responded. The guy that delivered our household goods was unprofesstional and his truck was infested with RATS! This now has resulted in our items also being infested. It wasn't phased at all. When trying to call the office of Authority Moving, no one was available. Items were missing of which we could see, but who knows what is missing with the better part of 150 boxes. Then the driver would not unload one item until he received a money order from Walmart. I had money orders from my bank, making sure it was not a cashiers check as requested and he would not accept it. What kind of scam is this! It was collected funds, so what does it matter? My husband is disabled and unable to do put items back together. This was promised at the time of booking, but they couldn't do it, because of the rat infestation!
    
    People you need to beware, because what was promised was definitely not what was delivered. This company will say anything to get your business, but they can't provide the customer service for the price you have to pay!

13. Impressive movers.

    Moving is very stressful for me. However, this time it was less stressful thanks to Authority Moving Group. They were not only great movers but great communicators and made sure that I was happy through the whole thing. I don’t have a single complaint. I thought I would have a lot of damage given the distance of the move but I have yet to find any issues. This is really impressive given how often movers get things like this wrong. This really deserves 5 stars.

    My initial conversation with Kyle, made everything sound swift and easy-going, he was obviously trying to get me to buy in so everything sounded great, he sent me a quote that same night which I had included everything I was going to have move, and said the price shouldn't change from that.
    
    The night before my move (9/28/20), Heather and Jessica Chieffalo (dispatch dept. supervisor) called me to confirm my move for the following day. Jessica specifically stated the price would NOT change, and if it does, to contact her, because "The guys could just throw it on the back, it's not a problem" I wanted to make clear of this as I was paying CASH and would have only the amount I was told. Well the next day after they packed everything up, they wanted to tell me it was going to equal a total of $600 EXTRA, which I had to pay $300 up front and the rest at drop off. I called Jessica, no response, even called her 2 days later, messaged her, NO response
    
    I had been trying to contact their customer service since this happened. Every time I spoke with someone, they always said they would "look into it and call me back"
    
    I spoke with Heather, Mike Harris, Nina (multiple times) about this and NOBODY ever called me back.
    
    The day before my furniture finally arrived
    
    (Took 2 months to ship from CT to CA)
    
    I called Nina and she told me that her and Jessica were having a meeting about my situation and would call me back before 3pm E.S.T, I never received a call back. I called the next 2 days and spoke with another person who said Nina was not there and doesn't know when or how I could get in contact to find out what happened. I had to end up paying the extra $600, nobody ever helped me look into this and nobody ever called me back.
    
    The movers were very professional themselves, but my mirror was broken upon arrival.
    
    I would NOT recommend this company as you will not be able to get any answers from these people and FALSE PRICING.

15. Excellent.

    To start with, we got an estimate online with Authority Moving Group and it ended up being very accurate which surprised me. We hired them for both packing and moving services and they did a great job with both. They handled items carefully and packed them in a way that would prevent any issues in transit. Our move was long distance so it took several days for our things to arrive in Sacramento but when they did everything was in great shape. I really feel like I got lucky with this company which is why I wanted to take the time to show my appreciation. They really did an excellent job.
