  1. BEWARE: I WAS VICTIM OF FRAUD.

If you could avoid this place, I would encourage you to not do business with them.

I was a victim of fraud in November of 2020. A former manager at Booming Whales hacked the company’s account and was taking orders from customers and keeping the security deposit to himself. This person was using the Booming Whales e-mail domain and website to send quotes to customers and charge a security deposit, totaling $650 in my case. We discovered that it was a scam after we called Booming Whales one day to make changes in our order. Tommy Orishma, another manager, told us about this issue and that there was no real order. He asked us to dispute the charge with our credit card, which we agreed to do in order to try to help with this matter as apparently, the company had a few other clients who were victims of fraud as well. Unfortunately, our credit card company did not give us credit back after fighting with them for several months.

It was now Booming Whales' turn to take responsibility in this matter and refund our security deposit but they refused to do so.

We know that moving is not an easy process in our lives and we always want to make it as smooth as possible, everything was planned to make it a dream come true and Booming Whales made it become a nightmare.

  2. Will scam you out of your $500 deposit!

I set up my move for last November, last August. I paid a $500 deposit and was told it would be one price for my move based off my number of rooms of my house.... see weeks before my move some guy name Tommy calls me and tells me that Marvin who had been originally dealing with was fired and deal with him... I thought it was strange so I called the number on their website and Marvin answered and told me that Tommy was the employee that was fired.... A week before my move this Marvin guy had somebody call me to do an inventory of my stuff and at the end it tells me I had too much stuff for the original quote and if they were going to have to raise my rate by $1000..... I said that’s absurd I was given one flat rate based off the number of rooms of my home and if that’s what they were to do I was going to cancel... they said they would give me my money back and then ghosted me..... It’s been several months and I battled with my bank to get my deposit back and when they said no because booming well as far as the original guy Tommy who says he’s the Manager of Booming Whales (who admitted I was scammed....) says he’s not responsible for what his ex employee did in his company‘s name and he was not going to refund my money.....

This company is a nightmare and I should’ve listen to the other negative reviews before I washed $500 down the toilet.

Do not waste your money with this company go with an actual reputable ans well known company that won’t steal from you.

  3. Scammers

This was the worse experience ever. This move was an emergency and like others I’ve now read, they start out really nice. However, they never showed, never said they were brokers even as they advertise that they are a moving and storage company and try to make you feel like they are doing you a favor. My move was scheduled for noon with a truck and 3 men. I called 1st thing in the morning to say I may have to change the date and was told they would see what they could do. In less than 2 minutes, I called to ask if the date was changed and was told nothing had been changed so I agreed to keep the move for noon. Please keep in mind this was scheduled for at least a week already. They didn’t show at noon and promised to show up at 3. They didn’t show at 3 and asked if they could do it at 9 the next morning (I agreed because of the call I made even though nothing had been done to change or cancel). They (the now only 2 men and truck) didn’t show up at 9 because one contracted Covid the day before on a moving job (really???) and asked me if they could have yet another day or later that evening at 7pm (lights were scheduled to be shut off this day). When I said no and they needed to get me a truck now, I was told they would. I waited until 12 and rented a uhaul. They call me closer to 1pm and say they have a truck headed to me when the current job is finished. By my calculations, that truck would arrive around 2:30. Now I asked for a refund and was told I need to take responsibility, they don’t do refunds but would give me 25% of the deposit which was $1003.00. For what I ask when they did nothing but make promises and left me hanging. Needless to say, I ended up moving myself. The next call said they could give me 1/2 my money back or a voucher for $1000.00 so that myself, a family or friend could use. I would never put my family or friends through this ordeal. I suggested they give me 75% and they take the 25% he said no. I suggested they give me the 50% and the voucher he said then he would be paying me....as he should. I not only paid them to stand me up, I had to rent and drive a truck as well as help load and unload the truck twice and had to pay to cancel and reschedule my flight home. They are the worse ever.

  4. Watch out for manipulation, especially if you’re a single woman

I have never used a moving company before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My reasons for going with Booming Whales were the cost and the fact that assembly/disassembly was included. When the local move or contacted me the day before to confirm, he was quick to tell me that it wasn’t included. When my TV was finally assembled it was crooked. There was a shoe rack that fell apart during moving that was also not put back together. Also I was hauling tubs from my car up to the new place and neither of them helped me.I understand that it wasn’t in the quote but is it so hard to be a gentleman and help out a nice lady? I gave them both a bigger tip than they deserved because the owner led me to believe that he had a part time weekend job for me. My stuff is moved and intact but honestly I just feel gypped and manipulated. The owner of the local company was very unprofessional in that he hit on me by texting from his personal phone number. I guess you could use this company to move your stuff and but do you really want to support a business like this? None of my items were ruined but I just feel swindled which is almost worse. I just wanted my items moved to my new place, I didn’t wanna date so the owner should really be more professional about that. I will not be using this company in the future.

  5. This is a scam!!! This is allegedly NOT the booming whales company!

Hired this company for a move in Massachusetts where the advertised. They did all inventory via phone, gave a price, took the deposit then called back the day before the move to go over it again, said I had more than they priced it for, upped the price and took an additional deposit. Was told they would send their biggest truck and 4 people, never told me they were contracting the move to another company. The next day 2 people show up in a truck half the size of the truck I rented to move out of an apartment when I moved into that truck saying they were from a company out of Rhode Island hired to do the move. My price had been increased allegedly for the larger truck and crew. Took 2 trips, put my belongings in 2 different storage locations and I was left to move 2 car loads and 2 truck loads of things myself that they couldn’t get and I had to have someone come to my house to be with them so I could leave to sign papers for my closing because even though this was told to them upfront they took 7 hours longer than they told me and still didn’t get a quarter of my belongings and I had was left moving things specified in the binding estimate. The movers were then 8 hours late to move my belongings into my new house and had to bring the second truck load the following day- didn’t show up until 4pm that day. When they still had all my belongings the owner of this company had his crew leader tell me the price increased by $300 due to storage which was specified to the company I booked with and already supposed to have been part of the price. Before unloading the second truck load they tried to take payment, I insisted on the move being completed first and refused to pay the additional charge. My things all appeared to have been thrown around and recklessly handled, there were 25 things broken or went missing. When I called the Booming Whales to complain and address this I was told they do not contract out to other companies and a former sales manager named Marvin Buckley had been fired and was booking moves under the Booming Whales name without their knowledge and was contracting out and scamming people. The phone number on this website is not the one on the Booming Whales website. It is the number I booked through and the one the Booming Whales gave me with Marvins name when they told me it was a scam. I called that number and the person that answered was the person I booked through. Be careful and if you use this company do not book through the information advertised on this website!

  6. Excellent move

Amazing team! All the furniture was perfectly put together and arrived in a timely matter. My family and I were super pleased.

  7. Honest, Quality Movers.

Given my past experience with movers I was very concerned about running into another unscrupulous moving company *cough *cough Good Greek *cough. I looked around, read dozens of reviews and got at least a 10 estimates a couple of months before my move. Out of all the movers, Booming Whales was the most responsive, attentive and professional. Marvin went above and beyond to ensure everything was as easy and straightforward as possible. Come moving day, it was a smooth pickup and a quick and easy drop off. The moving crew was on time, courteous and treated my belongings as if they were their own. There were no surprise charges and expenses; I paid exactly what was on my estimate. They exceeded my expectations. I'm glad that out of all the moving companies out there, there are still some good ones left. I'll definitely use them if I ever have to move again. Highly recommend A++.

  8. Moving in Florida.

Boomingwhales was amazing! They arrived on the time we scheduled and went over all details and answered any questions we may have had. They wrapped and secured our furniture like if it was theirs. Their movers are very friendly and kept us feeling comfortable and stress free with engaging conversation. Would definitely go with them again! Make sure when you call get a hold of Marvin he will work on the best deal for you!

  9. Stellar service.

I recently booked Booming Whales for a move from Hollywood to Fort Pierce. After being skeptical at first I‘m happy I decided to go with these guys. Marvin was absolutely right the associates Tommy & Josh were very professional & well manured. I highly recommend Booming Whales they will match the price & probably turn out cheaper than any competitor. Good luck guys ??

  10. Booming Whales.

My name is Ashley Ross and Booming Whales definitely needs to be recommended as a family firsts moving company.. Marvin and sales team did a great job with the pricing on the move we needed.. With the time we are battling with economic issues. Booming Whales really showed me and husband a smile on the customer face is more important than anything.. Thanks again Wally & Walter Booming Whales..

  11. Feels like Fraud.

Marvin’s team loaded up our furniture and I drove ahead to destination 4 hours north. Once I arrived, the furniture never followed. Marvin said he called repeatedly but I never got the calls.. and we were told that there would be a surcharge due to the extra time required to complete the move, since the movers were somewhere near Ft.Lauderdale. We were now required to pay with Zelle, which has zero fraud protection. How do I proceed to pay and know my furniture will be delivered safely when there is no fraud protection? I think I’ve been scammed. They still have my furniture and are threatening with exorbitant storage fees to create a sense of urgency. At this point I would pay with Amex or PayPal, but Booming Whales insists that I use Zelle, which feels like throwing good money after bad.
