  1. Positive moving experience.

I hired this company to move me last Friday. This was my first time using a moving company and these folks took care of me from start to finish. Sabrina provided me with all the information I needed over the phone as well as answering any questions I had. The gentlemen that moved me were polite,on time and they took good care of my items. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone. They provided me with top notch service at an affordable price.

  2. Damage to Home During Move.

I hired these people to finish a move for me.

They were moving the last of the large items from my home.

When they arrived with everything, there were only two men, the owner and another man. They entered and stated that they would have to have two other people to assist in moving items to the third floor of my new home. They drove away with my items returning about 1 hour later.

I informed the owner, Chris Box, that one of the armoires had to have the legs removed (4) because moving it with legs on is too risky. He was instructed at least 3-4 times.
When they got ready to move the armoire, I witnessed them holding a large armoire by the legs which are short and round attempting to go up the stairs. They dropped the armoire on the landing twice, knocking a hole in a wall and 2 holes in landing ceiling. They ripped the wool carpet on the landing.

I witnessed everything and asked him what he was going to do about making my home right.

He presented me with a bill for 880.00. I offered to pay half and then pay other half when the repairs were made.

He said that I would be contacted the next morning by dispatch to schedule an appt for someone to look at damages.

I waited 2 weeks I finally called their "office", which by the way is non- existent.

A week later, a woman shows up at my home to access the damage. She stated that she was headed to "Kiser" FLOOR to look for a carpet match. NEVER HAPPENED
I then requested a certificate of insurance. After calling continuously, I was told that Nationwide was their carrier. NOT SO!
Nationwide has no record of insuring this business. I then filed a complaint with the BBB which was a joke. Chris Box basically as with the other reviews on this site tried to blame me.

This business has done close to $3,000.00 in damage to my home according to Kiser flooring estimates and will not take responsibility.

A side note. I got the name of one of his "employees" before they left and asked him where their office is. He said he did not know and they were paid in cash.
These people are toxic and should not be in business.

  3. Damaged Items- no Accountability!

Movers were 4 hours late for scheduled appt on Sept. 19, 2015. were told by Melanie (lady in the office) they were sending 3 guys for the price of 2 to speed up the process. when 3 guys arrived the "extra" guy said he could not even do anything bc of a hurt back so really we just had the two. he was only there b/c the other two guys were not licensed to drive - imagine that. It took over 8 hours to move from a 1400 sq ft house from Southaven to Byhalia, MS - UNBELIEVABLE! They were seriously moving at a snails pace.. im sure just to charge you tons of hours for basically nothing. The "extra" guy was smoking around my houses and the smell was horrific and he appeared totally unprofessional - and also was caught by my husband sleeping in the work truck while the other 2 guys worked. My Samsung washer was dropped off the truck after the leg of my washer was caught on the lift, washer leg broken, and a huge dent on the bottom of the washer.. my picnic table was dropped and broken, all of my master bedroom furniture which was very expensive also was all scratched up and even has indentations on it numerous places and the master bedroom door in my brand new house was scratched while they were moving in the furniture. Melanie at Box's moving replaced my washer leg and mailed me 150.00 check to replace the picnic table; however, the furniture issue has not been addressed.. I was told last week the furniture doctor was going to come and put some wood filler in it and paint it with a touch up marker - REALLY? this is not dollar store furniture.. so I don't think so and anyhow I haven't even heard back from her or this Furniture Medic. I was told by Melanie there was NOTHING they were going to do about the huge dent in my washer which they caused and admitted to causing. I told her they needed to compensate me for the depreciation of my washer since they damaged it.. her reply to me was "well are you selling it?" I said not right now but when I do the value has gone down due to your company damaging it. She told me yet again there was nothing they were going to do. I would also like to add.. a few days after the move I called into the office and spoke to Melanie about what all happened the day of the move.. she had me on speaker phone and when I spoke up about the 3rd guy who was sleeping and pretty much worthless he happened to be in the same room with her listening to our phone conversation. He quickly got on the phone with me and told me I needed to get some common sense and I was talking to the operations manager, etc.. I quickly told him he was very unprofessional and I didn't care what he thought about me. Melanie got back on the phone and assured me she would take care of all of this herself but as you can see I am contacting the BBB.. so she has too failed. This company has to be one of the most unprofessional I have seen ever.. I have sent tons of emails to this company, made several phone calls, talked to Melanie several several time.. Melanie even made an appt with the so called owner of Box's moving to come to my house to see the damages and discuss the situation.. which both of them were a no-show.. no call .. no anything. Recd some lame excuse as to why they didn't show. didn't surprise me. No reschedule attempt has been made by them.. needless to say. I have sent several pics of the damaged items and exchanged 62 texts with Melanie as well. I have requested my claim # with their insurance company, the insurance company's name, a copy of the contract I signed when they arrived at my house for the move and I have received NONE of this information. This company is nothing more than a Scam themselves. I mean if you have to post 20 ads per day on Craigslist u are pretty much worthless and desperate. Next time I will do my homework before I hire such a failure of a company to move my household goods which I work to pay good money for. U get what you pay for I guess. Should have done my homework.

  4. Damaged items during move.

Box's moved by household items from Memphis, TN to Ashland, MS.
This was a long distance move and the owner did not provide a copy of the contract nor did he explain anything about it.
On the day of the move I was told about a scratch on my new Armoire. This was the only item mentioned that was damaged.
A few days later I discovered the left was about to fall of a desk that was in pristine condition and the top was all banged up. I also had damaged lamp shade, and later I discovered the glass to my outdoor table was missing. I looked at my house in Memphis a couple of weeks later thinking that they left it there, but it was not. Then I remembered seeing a bunch of glass in my trash can in MS. It was broken and they did not tell me. Since this was a good friends son, I was going to let the damaged to furniture, and lamp slide, until I realized the table top was broken. What they did was wrong, but they denied it, and basically accused me of lying about everything. Needless to say, I have filed complaints with BBB, and on YELP. I did not sign up for all of this mess and warn anyone who thinks about using this company to NOT do it.
