Expensive electronics vanished between houses
They showed up on time and worked really hard. Men were professional and polite and helpful. They made a stressful day less so. However, we are now missing 2 brand new Oculus Quest 2 256gb headsets and their peripherals that were in their large gray flannel Oculus cases. Everything around them on the desk where I placed them was moved -- boxes, lamps and the desk itself. I did not see them in the house when I walked through before the truck left, and I believe they were loaded onto the vehicle. They were not in the old house the next morning when we returned to check on things. They did not get moved into the new home, which has been searched repeatedly. They were not in the old house on December 31 when we returned, panicked, and searched for hours. They are not in any of the bags and boxes that were moved, which we've now emptied. Company is defensive about accusing the men of stealing them, which I did not do when I inquired whether movers could please try to remember where they placed them. Movers claim not to have seen them, but as they moved the desk upon which they were sitting and the lamp and boxes next to them, this doesn't seem accurate. $1400 of new electronics vanished. Also, oddly, bags of actual trash were moved to the new house. I went with this company because of its stellar local reputation. I let go a $600 Pottery Barn broken floor lamp and a TV that is now all static; things happen in moves. But these are new, expensive and completely gone. Christian kept asking if I saw that the truck was empty; I did not look, and I wasn't asked to. It was a 13 hour day. I was exhausted. I thought the men did their jobs and tipped them well. My 15yo doesn't recall looking or being asked to look. Why would we? We hired professionals. Why would things be in the truck? There was no internet or cell reception. They had to call to get the final bill and run it over the phone. Whatever I signed I couldn't read because the cell service kept going out. So, it's like he's blaming me for not climbing in the truck and searching in the dark at 8PM. We have no idea if it was empty, but every reason to think it should have been. I'm really upset and disappointed and unsure of what to do, but my insurance company is advising me to report them stolen to police. I guess that's next since the company won't respond.

These guys were recommended by a family member. They lived up to the hype. Move was handled on the day (scheduled two months ahead of time), in the time estimated, and for the agreed to cost.
