Stay The Fuck Away!!
YOOOOO! STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY CON-ARTIST! Other alias names are: city moving company, move happy moving company, guardian moving company and another one I can't remember..but STAY THE FUCK AWAY! ..I got ripped off with my truck transportation financial bill when I had to drop it off at Matson. Then they damaged my bike when it arrived yesterday. They "claim" or "advertise" they are professional but after taking a chance with them, I learned in my experience these guys false advertise their services. Actions speak louder than words and its a dangerous game they are playing with good, hard working peoples money the way they do. I hope I'm the last review for this company so no one else has to go through this. The BBB needs to investigate and shut down this company.
Crooked, incompetent, liars.
Worst movers ever. They shipped my car door to door from Honolulu to California. Oh wait they screwed up and left the car in los angeles. FOR ONE MONTH while I accrue a daily fine (for OVER ONE MONTH). Now I'm expected to reschedule work so that I can rent a car, drive it more than 5 hours south to LA to pick up my car, pay a $500 fine and drive my vehicle back home. The agent said that to recover ANY money I'll have to sue them. They won't give names over the phone making a lawsuit more difficult. Fortunately my job is much easier after my freedom of information act finding revealed: LIOR OREN as the owner and RYAN ALEXANDER who dropped the ball entirely on this move (who kept calling himself BRIAN .. such duplicity!) I guess you'll be making a court ordered trip to Central California. See you both real soon. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Move from Hawaii to Washington.
I've already written a review on this criminal organization on Yelp so I won't go into much detail. only if you want to get A** R*ped hire these crooks. They stole a gold ring, stamps, baseball cards and tools. This company belongs in Venezuela.
Not Impressed.
If you like 3rd party moving companies and insurance who don't care and want to rip you off then this is the company for you!
Called to get a quote then read the reviews and called to cancel everything based on what I read about the 3rd party movers trying to charge per step and what not. They then assured me this would not happen to me. IT DID ANYWAY.
I was supposed to be moving around Halloween but got a call from them saying they didn't have anyone to move due to the holiday..apparently moving company's are big into halloween. After calling and arguing with the company they were able to pull a miracle and find a moving company. The pick up in St. Louis was 2 young kids who came in a counted all the boxes then started taping them up after the 1st box was moved the leader came up and asked me to sign the form to charge me for the stair fee. I immediately had to stop everything and call the company to figure out why this was happening. They then had to call the movers and tell them not to try that on us. They started moving the boxes down the stairs and one of the movers kicked 2 of the boxes down the stairs. My boyfriend ended up moving more boxes than either of the paid movers. I also had set up to pay w my credit card but the moving company in St. Louis couldn't do this so I had to find time to call the company and set a payment up. Fast forward to 45 days later my things were still not in Hawaii where I relocated to. The company kept telling me due to the holidays my things would be delayed by 2 weeks. They finally showed up mid January. 6 of my boxes had lost the labels and the moving company almost gave away one of my boxes to the previous people they delivered to. The moving company in Hawaii kept talking about the 5 stairs we have like they wanted to charge us but didn't. Its just annoying to have them do this. The plastic bins I had all were broken on the bottom. Upon unpacking my microwave doesn't work properly, you open the door and it just starts microwaving. Also the furniture they packed was dinged and dented. I paid for the additional insurance thinking this would cover me and I would be covered. But when I filed my claim they said microwaves could only be covered if the outside was damaged so mine would be covered. Then plastic bins aren't covered at all so if you can avoid moving them do so. Also for the "upgraded" insurance you have to have 250.00 in damages in order to even qualify for getting money to cover damaged items. Basically if you want a moving company that doesn't care about you this is the one! I should have paid a little extra and packed a pod my self.
Household move from Hawaii to Nevada.
50% of my hardwood furniture were damaged (broken or cracked or loose joints) due to unprofessional packing and rough handling. Worse was very stingy and slow claiming process. Total settlement is merely 5% of my total damage of over $4000. Very bad experience.
Recommend avoid this company.
Cardinal and City Moving in Hawaii.
So far, so bad.
First of all, BBB has nothing to do with this company.
Hawai's BBB identified a pattern in complaints for this company as follows:
Consumers allege they are given an estimate to move their belongings and, on the day of the move, the cost increases up to three (3) times the original quote.
This quote is exactly right. Missing items, broken items, broken furniture, no return phone calls, the movers on the Big Island are AHOLES, they don't care about you or your items and have no respect for either. Charged $500.00 to crate an ATV which was wrapped in cardboard, large tool boxes on wheels, totaled, and the list goes on. Everything was triple wrapped so to avoid breakage, family heirlooms are irreplaceable, and when they opened the back of the moving truck in Hawaii, it looked like the truck rolled a few times. Unacceptable.
Find another company.
I am willing to change all of this with a satisfactory response.
Barbara Dunaway.
Major damage caused by negligence.
50% of wood furniture sustained damages during move from Hawaii to Nevada, some were severely broken, due to rough and unprofessional handling of moving crew.
Handling of Claim is not satisfactory .
Not recommended for any kind of move.

My Cardinal Nightmare ~
In Moving from Michigan to Hawaii in 2014, I searched for a reputable moving company. Cardinal had been in business ever since I can remember.. 2 mover’s came to take what I was moving from Michigan to Hawaii. I left a lot of things behind which were either taken by family or relocated to the church for their upcoming garage sale. Only furniture I took were my 2 recliner’s and an old coffee table which had belong to my cousin Fran all those years ago. Hadn’t planned on taking it, but they packed it anyhow. After arrival in Hawaii, my things were delivered promptly to my new home. After two years living in what was the old Barber’s Pointe Navy Housing, where they would raise the rent each year $100, this in addition to the ever increasing electrical bill’s ($500 plus a month) left me “Priced out of Paradise”. Deciding to move before I wound up living on the beach as so many Island resident’s and their families had. I tried to start something in the community. I was totally unaware that another resident had the same ideal and got a State Rep involved. This is what I left behind on Oahu. http://www.staradvertiser.com/2016/09/03/hawaii-news/700-electrical-bills-shock-kalaeloa-renters/
I could go further, but my situation here now that I’ve moved to Henderson Nevada seems even worse. In shopping around for my moving company, I decided to use the one I had worked with before, everything had gone so well with my Move from Michigan. I did have 1 broken lamp which had seen it’s years. Moved it to Michigan when I first left the Islands in 1984.
The mover’s sent 5 guys to pack and load everything. I had packed quite a bit before they got there, but they packed the rest no problem. I remember the crew, professional with the exception of the man in charge. He kept working me for more money saying how they under estimated my move. Finally gave him $100 to shut him up. I had planed on tipping the worker’s anyhow. Having to give the guy calling the shot’s a little more to start just to get him to shut up. After all was said and done, I was moving 387 boxes which were packed in loaded in the truck. I gave each of the addition 4 worker’s $40 each for all their hard work. So item’s locked and loaded for delivery to Henderson, Nevada.
I arrived to find my new place, staying at the Sunset Casino in the meantime. Shipped the car 08/15 just before my flight out. Car was delivered by the 30th, Just over 2 weeks! On 08/24 @ 5:59 I received first word on my Household goods by Dispatch Freddy. By 08/29 I signed the lease on my new apartment and sent Freddy an e-mail with my new address, stating I would be sleeping on the floor until my things arrived. In speaking with Freddy he would say my items where awaiting release from Custom’s before they could set up a delivery date. After a week of sleeping on the floor I would phone Freddy telling him my sister was to arrived on the 20th. She was coming into town for a conference with a Friend, but I had the room for them to stay with me, just didn’t have any of my household good. I phoned Freddie numerous time’s getting no where. I then check out Cardinal on the Internet. Shocked about what I was reading about this company I TRUSTED. After posting comments on the Internet, and chatting with a couple on Facebook who were having problems in Hawaii dealing with Cardinal. I finally got a date out of Freddie on Friday, 09/16 that my things would be delivered on Monday the 19th, or Tuesday the 20th at the latest. Said that he would keep working to get me an earlier date that might help with the upcoming visit from my Sister and her Friend. Not even an hour later he’s phoning to say my things would arrive on Sunday the 15th! Said he had to work hard for that date to which I thanked him. On Saturday the 17th I received a phone call from Sarah stating they couldn’t find one of my mattress. Needed a description etc so they could find it. What?!? How could my things of gotten separated from the original shipment? No call back saying they found my mattress, I’m laying on the floor in my bedroom believing that Monday would be the next date I would see my things. I had bought another air mattress even though I had shipped two, as sleeping on the floor really wasn’t all that comfortable. At 9 am. my cell rings, it’s the driver from the moving company saying they’d be at my home with in the next 1/2 hour. Didn’t even take them 20 minutes.. They arrive and Oscar the driver enters my home laying out the 5 sheet’s of paper with my items listed. Tells me they’ll bring in the packages and shout out the number’s which I should check off as they bring them in. The other mover “C” was quite, only did what Oscar told him to do. He entered my apartment with a torn bag from the vacuum bag’s I had stored my things into before they were boxed. Where’s the rest of it I asked? Should be on the truck somewhere he replied. But the bag was in a box I told him. He brought more item’s of clothing that were in that box and laid them out in the spare bedroom. I’m checking off boxes from the number’s their shouting out, and Oscar look’s over to see how I was doing. Things come in damaged beyond repair. My dining table was crushed by something of heavy weight placed on top of it. My antique marble coffee table broken before the moved, but glued together and duct taped to secure the corner, came in as just bit’s and pieces when it arrived. Taking out the middle marble top would of been a good thing to do before the move, but these things do happen.. They get my bedrooms set up, then my L shaped sofa. Boxes everywhere, and all check off on the list. Say they have another delivery run up by Reno to complete before they can head back to L.A.. There tired, I’m tired. Boxes are checked off.. I tipped them each $40, thanked them for their hard work and they were on their way. Now I have a bed to sleep on, wish I would of held onto Oscar’s phone number, but deleted it when I thought everything was delivered. Looking at the nightmare of boxes in front of me, I worry about what’s where, telling myself all the boxes where delivered. Monday I get a phone call from Sarah again about my bed. Told her they had found it, and was delivered with the rest of my things on Sunday. She state’s they should of told her about finding the bed, and should of called me the day before, not 1/2 hour before they were ready for delivery.
387 Boxes moved and accounted for leaving Kapolei to the shipping yard. All item’s checked in at the warehouse, then by a driver. Before dispatch to Henderson all item’s check besides the 1 bed in warehouse. Final delivery mover’s checked all things off other than the bed when leaving for Henderson. The bed was checked off after delivery to Henderson, along with all the other boxes Oscar’s assured me were there.
MISSING ITEMS;
#1 ~ My Parent’s Wedding picture from 1951. Had their license attached.
#2 ~ A Large Wall Frame to hold photo’s from years past.
#3 ~ Large hanging Wall Fan, green with shell bottom
#4 ~ Boxes of jewelry with 18’ solid gold necklaces with their pennants, dozen’s of gold earring's, a few rings. Then all my pearls.. Priceless items that could never be replaced
#6 ~ A large box of silverware, what! Why??
#7 ~ Large glass Coffee Table
#8 ~ 2 pounds of Kona Coffee
#9 ~ Queen air mattress, DBL. “D” battery operated
Things arrive from Hawaii to Los Angeles warehouse. Told things are in custom’s, and had been for 3 weeks. That was a LIE!
Finally get a date for my things to arrive from L.A. Warehouse. Sarah phones to say bed is missing. Mattress being a memory foam mattress, no metal to be found, yet in the search to find it, a metal detector is authorized. Queen sized mattress, would be a large package. Would think anyone working the warehouse would be BONDED. Let’s see what the Detector can pick up in these other boxes. Guess they don’t really care what happens in their warehouse.
Oscar was in charge of my item’s, checked them all out of the warehouse. Sure once he left my home, he was laughing all the way. Even accepted the $40 tip I gave to each of them. The only thing I can do at this point is hope that Karma find’s him and that my credit card company denies payment for what was little more that allowing people to pack my things and ship them off to the mainland to be STOLEN! When/if the credit card advises who I should file the police report with, that will be done.
Extremely Disappointed,
Wilma K. Martin.
Beware Predatory Business !
BEWARE-PREDATORY BUSINESS !
Cardinal Moving Systems charged me double than they quoted me for a move from New York City to Hawaii.
Their agent never came to assess the property that needed to be moved, although they claimed they have an office in the New York area.
The salesman from Cardinal Moving Systems gave me an assessment over the phone and told me it will cost me $2664.35 total. That was a lie.
On the day of the move, after the moving crew packed everything in the truck, and locked it, the foreman told me I was over the quote and overcharged me for a total of $5650.85
That was $3000 more than quoted and I had to pay, since the truck was packed and locked. Typical moving scam, as I later read on www.moving.com. The fine print contract stipulates that every extra cubic feet will be charged $10.
After I paid in full, the moving company grossly mishandled my property and destroyed over 26 items to include Vintage Herodyne Radio, Vintage Gossip Bench, chairs which the moving workers pilled one on top of each other and then wrapped, Tiffany lamp, armoire, an antique Tal Tree Coat rack hanger whose iron hooks were broken in half, crystal glasses, Lennox Abigail dinner plates, antique Gingerbread Wall clocks, not to mention even an antique Hamilton pocket watch that was wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a cigar box.
The boxes were all severely damaged and were proof of how badly my property was mishandled. On top of the quote scam, the moving company added at least $3000 in property damage.
I filled an extensive claim in November 2015 and only in June 2016 I received a settlement letter after many inquiries. It was in the amount of $150.60. After all this company has done wrong, now they added insult to injury and offered me $150.60 and a release form to release them from all future claims, law suits, complaints or bad reviews. They can keep their ridiculous settlement and I keep my right to post reviews and complaints to any and all websites or Government Agencies.
My advice, STAY AWAY ! Look for a reputable company, that has an office where you live.
Cardinal Moving Systems needs to be shut down and all their agents fined for misleading customers.
Dishonest.
They lied about using subcontractors in order obfuscate their liability. See Case Number 3RC 13-1-495 in the Superior Court of the State of Arizona filed by the Moulton Law Firm, P.C.
They are comfortable telling lies. If they can stall an insurance company like State Farm and put off a law firm, what do you think your chances are?
** DO NOT USE CARDINAL MOVING **.
Thieves And Liars.
PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. Loooooong story short. Moving from Denver to Hawaii. We ordered 1000 cubic feet which was over $7000. A huge truck pulled up on moving day and started loading our things. Then they said, "that's it, you have used 1000 cu ft". We still had around 300 cu ft of belongings to move. Like most people, we hadn't measured every box so we didn't know exactly how much stuff we had. So we said ok, and put the rest of our stuff in storage at $100 a month because we didn't have another $2000 laying around. Over TWO MONTHS (and a crazy headache from all their BS) later, our stuff arrives and a little moving truck shows up at our house to unload our things. We had measured and cleared a space in our garage in preparation for 1000 cu ft of stuff. They unload and say "ok, that's it!" Well, the space we had cleared was far from being full so we asked where the rest of our stuff was. The lead guy, Adonis, said that was all of it. They had picked it up at the warehouse and accounted for every box. We said "there is no way this is 1000 cu ft!" He said, "No, it's 650 cu ft, see.." He then pulls out his paperwork and shows us a list of all the customers, including us, who had their goods in the same container. Everyone's cu ft was listed. Ours said 650. We should have taken a picture or called headquarters right then and there but we didn't. After talking with Adonis and another guy from the crew for a half an hour, we felt secure in thinking he would help us resolve the difference. We were wrong. He lied and said we never had that conversation. I'm sure his job was threatened. So the company stole $2300 from us and the rest of our stuff still sits in storage in Denver. And now we have to deal with getting it over here and suing this HORRIBLE company. Who knows how many people they have done this too. Most probably don't even know it! We wouldn't have if he hadn't showed us the paperwork! They also managed to smash several boxes and break my professional grade tile saw. Moral of the story, MEASURE (weigh) YOUR STUFF. TAKE PHOTOS. DON'T USE CARDINAL MOVING!
Cardinal Was A Mistake.
I'm very suspicious of these other 5-star reviews after going throughout the experience we had with Cardinal. Moving from Eureka, California to Hilo, Hawaii. It was a living nightmare for me and my wife. The day of the move, they "strong-armed" us for another $5,000 dollars, or else they wouldn't take the items that were already on a previous estimate. As it turned out we proved that they were trying to exaggerate and "pad" our bill with an overestimation of the square footage needed for our move. At the receiving end, there movers took over a month to deliver the container that was sent by Matson and sitting on their dock for weeks in Hawaii. Once the deliver actually happened, they swamped us with 8 delivery "boys". They were calling off wrong numbers and duplicate numbers to mix up our count-of of the original manifest of items. We had 11 boxes missing, and to this day(over a year later) have never been found. we also had many pieces of fine furniture damaged and one dresser destroyed with a broken leg. My grandmothers heirloom dishes were all broken, dishes that were well packed in foam and cardboard dividers in a specifically made for dishes moving box, that was well marked "fragile and glass". They also tried to delivery someone else's tools and golf clubs in our load. So I suspect they delivered our 11 boxes to someone else?Stay clear of this company, they are not only expensive, but also cause a lot of heart ache and anxiety at the worst time, during a move that's already stressful!BTW, Cardinal had the nerve to offer us $200 for our claim with the requirement that we must give no negative reviews, which we turned down!
Incompetent and Dishonest.
I engaged Cardinal Moving Systems to move a large household from Northern California to Maui. the team that picked up my goods arrived on time, but with too small a truck to handle the job. They were unable to finish on time, and failed to load some items the next day. The experience on Maui was horrible. Cardinal failed to appear on the first two dates THEY picked to deliver the goods. When they did arrive, their team was very young and inexperienced, and ill equipped. They could not finish the job in one day. They crashed their truck into my house on the second day. They lost 5 boxes. They damaged several items of furniture. It would have been much worse if I had not stepped in and provided they with some equipment to help them. What was even worse was the dispute resolution procedure. Cardinal never admited responsability for crashing into my house. The entire process of negotiating an amount for the damages was a joke, the worst of which was that in order to receive any payment, I had to agree to remove any negative reveiws I had written on the internet. These people cannot be trusted.
This moving company is definitely recommended!
The movers were very professional, warm and friendly. They provided the service I needed from A-Z. They happened to make me feel very secure with everything. They showed a lot of respect to all of my belongings and took great responsibility. This moving company is definitely recommended! They packed and moved all of my furniture including some heavy furniture very fast, nothing took time at all. Nothing got broken throughout the move either. Everything was in good position and now I know that I will be able to trust this moving company again for all my future moves.
Coercion, Blackmailing, And Holding my Property Hostage.
CARDINAL MOVING SYSTEM HAVE PROVEN TO BE A GANG-LIKE CONGLOMERATE OF CROOKS, THIEVES, LIARS AND DECEIVERS. Avoid them for any cost, and don't trust their five-stars stories overflowing by customers' satisfaction posted on various websites!! They are just to bedim the abysmal reality and funnel them new customers!! Cardinal Moving System (CMS) is affiliated to Hercules Moving System (HMS), and all of them have proven to be a loosely organized bunch of professional crooks that routinely lie, trick, cheat, steal and deceive. Eventually, they would even threaten you by the bodily harm. INITIALLY, JUST TO GET YOUR BUSINESS, THEY WOULD OFFER YOU THE LOW PRICES AND WOULD PROMISE YOU THE WORLD. BUT AFTER THEY GET YOUR PROPERTY TO THEIR HOLDING, THEY TURN ON DIME AND ARROGANTLY VIOLATE ALL THEIR PROMISES AND EVEN THE WRITTEN CONTRACT. THEY WOULD GROSSLY OVERCHARGE YOU, AND EVEN IF YOU WOULD AGREE TO PAY THEM THE INFLATED AMOUNT (just to get your stuff back), THEY WOULD HOLD YOUR PROPERTY HOSTAGE UNTIL YOU WOULD SIGN THE STATEMENT THAT YOU GIVE-UP YOUR MOST PRECIOUS CIVIL AND CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS. They will NOT give you your property back, until you would sign the statement that YOU WOULD NOT hold them responsible for damages that they caused you, and WOULD NOT publish any negative comments about CMS, its employees, agents or affiliates on any internet sites, consumer groups or media organizations relating to moving or moving services or to file complaints with any governmental or non governmental agencies. If you'd resist their blackmailing, they would even threaten you by the bodily harm!! THIS IS HOW CARDINAL MOVING SYSTEM CONDUCT THEIR BUSINESS!! THE CROOK WHO CLAIMED TO BE A HIGH-RANKED CMS OFFICIAL, BUT REFUSED TO GIVE ME HIS NAME, TOLD ME THAT I DON'T HAVE A CHANCE BECAUSE THAT IS THEIR COMPANY POLICY AND THEY ARE DOING IT FOR OVER 15 YEARS. I won't give a [EDIT] for the nice postings about them. The human nature is to remain silent when the things go as they should, but speak up when they don't. The crooks of their grade would definitely have no problem to publish the flattering stories about themselves, and although even the biggest crooks could do something good sometimes, the number of the smoothly written positive posting comprehensively balance those from indignant customers. So, if you are thinking about taking chances with them, then you should think again and first should read the descriptive letter that I sent to CMS CEO after endless struggles with them!! Here is the letter: Att: CEO Based on the preceding contract, your company holds in its storage facilities my cargo containing my household items. These items should be released from your facilities and delivered to my home address on November 6, 2013. According to your representative Sara Lloyd, CMS would not release my property until I would sign the document to which you call “Settlement.” Per her demand, I sent her the signed but revised document back on November 3, 2013. I made the necessary revisions just because that document was factually incorrect, and on top of that would deprive me of the precious freedom of speech and the other civil rights protected by the US laws and Constitution. From that time, there is nothing but your company's frivolous despotism and greedy intent to overcharge me that prevent you to deliver my cargo on November 6, 2013 as was previously agreed. Deplorably, instead of the scheduled delivery, on November 5 and 6, 2013 I have received numerous rough and threatening phone-calls from the rude individuals speaking with the strong Russian-like accent. All of them refused to tell me their name, but insisted that they represent your company. In most vulgar way, they tried to coerce me to acceptance of your company's overcharges and to signing of the unrevised so called “Settlement.” The individuals who are afraid to reveal their name definitely have a good reason for keeping their name secret. However, this kind of behavior is unacceptable in conducting of honest business, and speaks loudly about your company which they represent. Since your company conceals its main business address, and during the November 6, 2013 heated argument its alleged representative asked me, “..do you want me to come there to get you?,” I feel that I'm not dealing with the civilized company but with the balefully noted Russian Mafia. Based on the lengthy initial contract, which your company proposed, and I have signed, your company charges me 67% of Transportation Fees imposed on me due to my change of delivery destination. The 67% is outrageously high charge, but it is build in the initial contract and therefore I do not oppose it. For this reason, there is no ground for arresting of my cargo, and for coercing me to acceptance of the settlement, which in turn would compel me to acceptance of your overcharges and includes degrading clauses that would deprive me of my right to sue you and to inform the public about your deplorable practices. On November 6, 2013, the one of your representatives called me, and once again forced me to signing of this degrading and factually incorrect document to which you call “Settlement.” When I refused, he assured me that CMS would definitely not deliver my cargo until I'll sign this despotic document. On top of that, he also threatened me that in addition to the hefty storage fee occurring on daily bases (with which threatened me Sara Lloyd before), the CMS would charge me not just 67% from the actual transportation as it is spelled in the initial contract, but the full contract price of $1,450. Such demands and threats are clear coercion and blackmailing, and both of them are felony. Further, if your company wants to charge me 67% of the transportation fees, then there is imperative to itemize those Fees imposed on me. But your company alleged representatives refuse to do that! Instead, they harass me, and try to coerce me to signing of the despotic jumbo-combo settlement which, they say, produced based on your company policy! The documented fact is that your company already overcharged me by $165.95 for storing of my cargo. On top of that, now want to charge me $1,074.45 just for the June 3, 2013 pickup of my prepackaged cargo in Seattle-Kirkland and transporting it to your warehouse, and for its requested November 6, 2013 transport from your warehouse to Seattle-Kenmore. Considering the fact that the contracted total charge for delivering of my cargo across the Pacific Ocean to Philippines is $1,450, the $1,074.45 that your company wants to charge me just for tracking it back and forth to your warehouse (which is most likely somewhere in Seattle) leaves only $376 for the actual ocean freight. It means that your company's charge for tracking of my cargo back and forth to your warehouse is 2.86 times higher than the actual ocean freight! That's really hard to swallow! Conversation presiding the placement of transportation order: In my e-mail from May 23, 2013, I say: “In reference to our telephone conversation, I would need from you the bounding quote for less than container (approximately 216 cubic feet) shipment, door to terminal in Bacolod, as we were discussing.” In his e-mail from May 23, 2013, the CMS representative David Klees Ding says: “The best port of entry to Bacolod is Manila for international shipments we can ship this 216 cubic feet with a pick up (you pack all content) to Manila for $1450 door to port. Based on this quote, I placed the over the phone order.” In his e-mail from May 24, 2013, the CMS representative David Klees Ding says: “Hello Mark, (Your Reference number is: 329188). We thank you for selecting Cardinal Moving Systems for your upcoming move! We are committed to making this the smoothest move possible.” In his e-mail from May 24, 2013 (attached to this letter), the CMS representative David Klees Ding says: “Dear Mark, thank you for the call to confirm booking of your shipment to the Philippines. Your Order of Service with 216 cubic feet volume booking is updated with your pick up address. Tentative scheduled for June 3, 2013 pending $150 deposit submitted to process. My operations will coordinate with you on the pick up time scheduling 24hr before pick up date. Also informed is your request to hold shipment at our storage until you notify us (you will receive up to 1-month storage for free, $120 per month thereafter)..” However, in violation of our agreement, your company billed me for storing of my cargo $151 for July, and then after $162 per each month. Since I had been very ill at that time, I have just payed you that inflated amount, and had not caught your overcharges until now. In my e-mail from July 25, 2013, I say: “Shortly after arriving to Philippines I have contracted the Amoeba virus, and until yesterday had been tied up to the bed and wasn't able to access the Internet. For that reason, I need the CMS to store my stuff a little longer than initially expected. I'm aware of the CMS rules, and sincerely hope that extending of the storage time and postponing of the shipping shouldn't be a problem.” In her e-mail from July 27, 2013, CMS representative Sara Lloyd says: “Your file will remain on Storage Status until further notice. Once you are prepared to receive the items, please complete the attached Delivery Request form and email back to us. We can send a new form later if needed.” That was the only stated condition, and there was no demand for the new contract or a “Settlement.” Conversation following the placement of Delivery Request: In my e-mail from October 21, 2013, I say: “Because my plans to retire in Philippines collapsed, the destination place of my stuff has changed. The new delivery country is the United States, and the delivery address is: NE 182nd St, Kenmore, WA 98028. Requested delivery day is November 6, 2013.” In her e-mail from October 29, 2013, CMS representative Sara Lloyd says: “The Delivery Request forms came through great this time, thank you for resending. We received the check in the mail today for $32.40 for the storage fees.” (She meant the prorated storage fee for November.) However, on November 2, 2013, during the phone conversation, Sara Lloyd began coercing me to signing of the additional grossly degrading document inappropriately named “Settlement.” If I wouldn't sign it, she said, then CMS would NOT honor my properly placed Delivery Request, and would NOT deliver my items on November 6, 2013 as it was initially agreed. Instead, the CMS will hold my cargo until I would sign it, and will charge me the additional storage fee calculated on daily bases. In her e-mail from November 2, 2013, CMS representative Sara Lloyd says: “Mark, As I have mentioned on the phone today during our conversation, if we do not receive the signed Settlement form by November 6th your storage fees will begin and will accrue on a daily basis. The terms and charges as listed on the Settlement are in agreement per our Federal Tariff. If you have any questions regarding the charges please let us know. And yes, I had questions, and I had a lot of them and I let your company to know. However, your rough and extremely rude representatives had not answered any of them. They also refused to itemize the transportation charges, which, allegedly according to Federal Tariff, your company imposes on me. Since Ms. Lloyd didn't hesitate to send me your company's coercive demands in writing, it is obvious that the unlawful and if fact criminal activities as threats, blackmailing, and extortion, are the result of your company's longstanding culture. As I stated before, your company overcharged me by $165.95 for storing of my items. The 67% of transportation fees which charges me due to changing of my cargo destination is build in the lengthy initial shipment contract, and should be calculated from the itemized transportation fees and not from the total contract. Since the charge of 67% of the transportation fees is build in the initial shipping contract, there is also NO need for any additional contract. Even less is there a need for degrading settlement depriving me of my civil rights to which signing your company representatives coerce me. It is my firm position that your company owns me the refund of $165.95, and frivolously refuses to honor my request for delivery scheduled on November 6, 2013. Further, your company should calculate the 67% transportation charge strictly from the itemized transportation (tracking) cost, which in total should not exceed the actual ocean freight to Philippines. The packaging fee and stair fee that was waived upon placing of my shipping order, and therefore should not be included as well. Regrettably, your company refuses to submit the itemized and fair settlement proposal. Instead, it engages in the criminal activities, as extortion, threats and blackmailing. During the November 6, 2013 phone conversation, your alleged representative even threaten me by the bodily harm, while he asked me “..do you want me to come there to get you?” Your company's frivolous violation of the signed shipping contract and properly placed Delivery Order prevents me to resume my planed activities. In addition to the extreme discomfort, they also deprive me of my time, and are detrimental to my health and ruin my private and professional life. Therefore, with the beginning on November 8, 2013, I will charge your company $100 per day for ruining of my private and professional life, and for causing me the material damages and great emotional pain and suffering. Please note, that except of the polite information regarding the date and time of delivery of my property, any further CMS' communication with me must be done strictly in writing, or through my attorney if you would force me to file the lawsuit. Any other CMS' phone-calls would be considered an unlawful harassment. This is my last attempt to settle the case with your company out of court and public eyes. If it should not happen, then my attorney will file the lawsuit against your company in Federal Court without further notice. At that time, however, in addition to the above spelled charges, I will also demand the compensation for attorney’s fees, court fees, and for any other fees related to the case. Moreover, your outraged piece of crap to which you call “Settlement,” and the edited version of this and previous letter, along with your response (if any), would be published all over the Internet. I'm assuring you that I'll use all my skills of a professional webmaster to make your profoundly shady company well known all around the world, and will warn anybody who would be even thinking about doing a business with you. With the regret that I can't give you a better news, Mark M. Attachment: E-mail from May 24, 2013 showing the quoted storage charge of $120 per moth and the first month waiver. End of the letter.. PROCLAMATION: Cardinal Moving System customers/victims. Be aware that CARDINAL MOVING SYSTEM is affiliated to, or operate also under the name HERCULES MOVING SYSTEM and many other names. If you read my experience with the CMS to this point, and had been screwed and then silenced by either of them, then you should know that the statement, or the promise, acquired by coercion has NO LEGAL VALUE and could be successfully challenged in court. From November 8, 2013, I'm billing them $100 plus $1 late fee per day for discomfort, material damages and emotional pain and suffering caused by the malicious detention of my personal and household items, and by illegal blackmailing and coercion with the intent to inflict maximum harm, and seek the attorney who would take them to the cleaners. From the stories posted in this and the other websites, it is obvious that all of them are complete creeps and already screwed a lot of people, and would well qualify for the Class Action Lawsuit. So, if for any reason, you hadn't filed a lawsuit against them, or if you know somebody who had been hurt by them and wants to be compensated for the loses, then e-mail me on illtreated@hotmail.com, and join me in the Class Action Lawsuit against them. We are those who gave them our business, and they screwed us. If we'd allow them to prosper, then the honest businesses would suffer and we would suffer along with them. CMS' agents and affiliates save your breath. I know that you are posting the nice stories about those above named creeps, and would be the first who would give me some crappy responses to this posting. As I know you by now, it won't surprise me if you'd even insult me and/or threaten me in order to discourage me of the further actions. Those of you who were lucky enough to acquire a good experience with them should consider yourself lucky to not make a statistic and shouldn't portray your good luck as a precedence. .
