  1. Do Not Hire.

PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THESE CROOKS!! When I contacted them for a moving quote, everyone was polite and all too willing to help me with whatever I needed. Lie #1: These are not movers, as they claim to be; they are brokers for other moving companies. The company they hired to actually move me (Energy Moving Systems) had two crews; the second crew (offload) were fantastic; they were courteous and hard-working, they helped me in whatever way they could. The foreman of the crew which loaded my truck (Sergio) was a complete crook; he stole $500 from my deposit money and told the company I hadn't paid it. Luckily, I had paperwork to prove otherwise. Back to issues with CH Global: John Harris is a complete and utter liar. When he called a few days before my move to get my final estimate, I tried to give him exact dimensions of all the boxes and bins my husband I had packed. This would give an accurate square footage of what we used. He told me that I would "only pay for the space I use on the truck and would get refunded for the difference" so it didn't matter. 100% bold-faced, outright lie. I measured the space my husband and I actually used in the truck, with the help of my off-load crew foreman. We used about 1600 cubic feet of space. The estimate put together by John Harris was for 2448 cubic feet, meaning I over-payed by over $2500. Upon filing a claim stating these issues, along with our moving inventory from pick up and drop off showing we did not move a bulky safe which we were charged for ($600), CH Global offered me a whopping $50 for a refund. Plus, the letter had to be notarized, which means I actually get $45 of my money back. If I could rate this company zero stars, I would. DO NOT BE FOOLED by the caring front they put up to get your business!!

  2. Move from CA to Colorado.

I contracted with CH Global Van Lines believing that the were a reputable company. This company is not affiliated with Global Van Lines and has a horrible reputation. Our contents were picked up by a Sub company called Zion Moving company. They arrived wiht a truck that was way too small, this required a 2nd trip to their holding facility in Sacramento, 50 miles away. They did not have moving blankets or boxes, they wrapped some items carelessly. We were told by CH Global that our contents would arrive in 4 to 5 days. Now they are telling us another week. They did not abide by the original estimate and charged us several thousand dollars more or threatened to remove our contents from the truck at 3:30am in the morning horrible moving experience. Beware. . T.

  3. Stay Away From.

You will never get your refund, they will tell you lies forever. This happened to me the same thing that happened to a lot of others. They give you a quote get your deposit and then three days before the move or two days whatever they choose The jack up the price then when you tell him you’re not going to except it first they say that you’re never going to get your deposit then when they agreed to give your refund. Then use excuses for not giving it to you. The main excuse is the bank refuses to accept it. They have complaints At the Better Business Bureau in Florida they cannot get accredited through the Better Business Bureau because of their complaints and never settling them. They just ignore the refunds and go on their way and you never will get your refund I have been waiting 5-6 months months. The same people are there scamming people out of their money the girls in Customer service just laughed about a refund. The same men are the ones I dealt with along with Sarah who is supposed to be the operations manager, Tammy is a good one to answer the phone and give you the stories. Not sure how they get away with scamming so many people but it’s almost the same excuse for every one of these reviews. They use John Harris to jack up the price and put the pressure on you to pay it. You will never get your deposit back. If you read the reviews for this company at the Better Business Bureau in Florida it is almost always the same issue. The girls in customer service did not realize one day they never put me on hold they just set the phone down and you could hear them laughing and giggling about it they thought it was so funny. Not sure how these people can sleep at night with this on their conscious. I only wish that at the time I was doing this I would have taken the time to research this company instead I listen to them being good talkers. And I kept asking them how can you guys do this so reasonable and they kept saying oh you don’t have that much was because David didn’t put the whole list down he just put household items. The excuse for that is he didn’t have time to break the whole list out. And every time I ask them to review the tapes with me on the phone and they refused. I strongly believe that these people Working and operating this business should be shut down and never allowed to operate a business in the USA again. They are a ring of people that have this down to where it when the heat gets too strong and what they do is they shut down open up under a different name with a different person as the owner. In my opinion these people should be arrested for scamming people out of so much money. I always thought it was illegal to be scammers. Not sure why the attorney generals office has not stepped in and file charges against these people For taking so much money from people, some people never even got the service and they still kept the money. People that got scammed from this company should write to the attorney generals office the DOT office the Better Business Bureau in Florida. I am willing to go in on a class action with anyone that wishes to. At this point I think All of these people should have charges filed against them, and arrested and put through the legal system. Also in my opinion I feel these people are illegals from a different country use different names and just come to the USA to cheat people out of money.

  4. Find Another Company.

This company is a joke and will lie and tell you everything you want to hear. My gut told me to run and I should have. They are good at two things. Passing the buck and collecting their money. They all have a license to be a con artist at this company. John Harris is the biggest fake and lair I have every had to deal with. We knew our move would go up in cost due to all the reviews we read, but all along CH kept saying no it would not or very little. They also told us several times that it would be THEIR truck and driver that would come to pack us up and move us. LIE, they farm it out to a moving company that you have no clue is until they show up at your door step. CH was supposed to cover part of our storage cost (give us a discount), but when John redid our contract he conveniently left it off. We don't mind paying what we owe, but when you have a company that lies to you and then just ignores your phone calls, that is a company that should be out of business.

  5. Interstate move.

We had looked forward to our move from Missouri to Florida for months. CH Global Van Lines turned our move into a nightmare! I feel foolish for not checking their reviews before booking my move. I sent pictures of all the furniture I needed moved. The original quote was $3400. Three days before the move they called and raised the quote to $5981 to move the same furniture. The truck arrived two days late on July 23,2019! When the driver looked at the furniture he raised the quote to $8064. By then I was in a bind because my house had sold and I had to be out the next day. The estimated delivery date on the contract was July 28,2019! We received our furniture and other possessions on Sept. 1,2019. For weeks we thought we would never see our furniture again. Every time I called they would put me on hold and then come back and tell me my furniture would be delivered in three days. It is sad that they treat people this way. I learned a lesson the hard way. At least the driver and his helpers were friendly and did a good job loading and unloading.

  6. Absolutely the worst experience you can imagine!!

Booked a move on 07-09-19 to move from MO to AR. 2 bedroom house. Move was supposed to be done 8-26-19 with an alternate date of 8-27-19. Paid a deposit of $876.00 on total estimate of $2400.00. On the 25th Johnh called to confirm the contract. A few items were added to the inventory that I missed on initial call. Price increased to $6200.00 and I was asked to pay an additional $1300.00 up front. He had debited $1836.00 when the transaction cleared the bank. THIS WAS NOT AUTHORIZED!! All items were packed as of 8-25-19. They never showed up! Not the 26 or 27th. On the 28th a driver called and said he would be there in 30 minutes. Eventually found out he was in Topeka Kansas looking for an address there but somehow had my telephone number. ?? During this 3 day nightmare I spoke to Tammy, Holly, Johnh, and finally Linda (customer service manager). They gave me false information over and over about the arrival time of movers. Linda took no responsibility for the fiasco and blamed it on “dispatch”. Kept telling me she was in customer service and only had the information she was given. When I offered to give her the drivers phone number she accused me of “just wanting to fight”. I fired them before they got their hands on my furniture. Bank reversed the largest deposit prior to it being processed. I will vigorously pursue the remaining deposit and hire an attorney if necessary. They provided no service to me, only 3 days of lies and aggravation. The first response when I told them I wasn’t going to use them for the move. “Your deposit is non-refundable”. We’ll see about that. They haven’t heard the last of this. The lowest form of life are those that behave the way the representatives of this company have.

  7. Don't believe them.

Claimed to not be a broker, that their movers work for them. Lie #1. Gave me a quote. I had to pay 1/3rd up front. Said I would get a $100 discount on that payment if I paid it right then with a debit card. I did not get the discount. Lie #2. When I had not heard from movers after 2 weeks of packout, I called to ask for an estimated date of delivery. I was given a number for a dispatcher in California. I asked why they didn't know, don't they work for you. I was told yes they work for us. Lie #3. They contracted D United Logistics out of Woodland Hills, CA who will also be getting a review as the least professional movers on the planet. You may want to read it before you call CH Global for a cross country move.

  8. Stole $666.00 from me.

They charged my account for $666.00 and they guarenteed me next day delivery.

These people are brokers, all they do is sell your move to carriers, they have no control over the driver and they make promises that they don't fulfill.

    Trust me, don't use them.

  9. Do Not Use This Company! Frauds!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am still pending my refund from this company! They owe me money and was told it would take 21 days in which we are now at 30! Still due monies! Going up the chain to get funds! Do not use!

  10. Scammers!

    DONT USE THIS COMPANY! SCAMMERS!!
I hired them to move my furniture etc from the east coast to the west coast. First of all they arrived at my apartment two days earlier then expected, then the delivery times kept changing. !! Finally delivered late at night with a semi truck !! which they were unable to make the turns at the apartment. They Told me that they had to bringing my things to a storage unit, but unable to tell me which one, and it was going to cost me extra for storage and that I would need to pay another mover!! I was extremely upset after already paying them over $5,000. They said I had to pay an extra $700 if they were to get a smaller truck to deliver my things. THEY KEPT ALL MY ITEMS HOSTAGE! Until I paid them the money in CASH ! They said they lost my contract !! I was told in the beginning that they only except money orders but now they wanted all in cash!! Then we’re unable to give me a receipt for the cash!! Most of my things were destroyed and Broken! Furniture scratches dirty AND MY 62” TELEVISION WAS STOLEN !! Along with many other valuable items!! I think we all need file a law suite !! I m so pissed!!

  11. My Move.

I have moved long distance 4 times and this was the worst. Movers did not show up on time which made me late to start my new job by 2 days, plus I had to pay for a hotel room. Items were damaged and boxes crushed. Filed a claim with them and have heard back yet (over 60 day). Was promised a $200.00 reiembursement for my trouble and have seen it as promised. I have called over 12 times and have not recieved a return phone call from them. If ever have to move again I will use 3 men and a Truck. They got over $5,000.00 from me..funny thing is that I work at a self storage property and they stored part of a load here for someone else and it has been here over 2 months..wonder if this customer know where their stuff is.

  12. Not Your Real Movers & More Deceptions.

    1. They are a broker, they do not do your move
    2. Once you make decision to work with them, you cannot get the same person on the phone
    3. Bait & switch pricing, you get one price then another person calls to "confirm" and you get another price, then the movers come & there's another price
    4. Broker is cash or Vinmo only to the driver
    5. The broker loaded fragile boxes at the bottom of the truck and smashed them
    6. The delivery driver was rude and though we agreed certain things would be left out, he brought them in instead, requiring me to bring them back out. When confronted, he told me to not talk to him like a slave.
    7. I was told that they don't know what's in my boxes even if they're labelled fragile.
    8. Furniture was damaged profusely
    9. Treadmill was completely ripped apart & leaking oil when delivered
    10. Custom lamp shade was shredded
    11. BBQ Grill was bent so the sides hang & the wheels won't turn
    12. Items are still missing 2 months after the move was completed
    13. Broker won't return calls, texts or emails requesting a paid in full receipt or updates on missing items
    14. Drivers didn't show up for move until 6pm on the day of and were in my house until 3am
    15. As in other reviews I also spoke with David Traina and John Harris.
    16. They definitely hold your move ransom for more money as outlined in other reviews.

  13. Unfair and unethical pricing.

In Feb 2018, my husband and I signed on with CH Global Van Lines, based in Fort Pierce, FL, to move us from MA to WA. We were not told that this company was a broker who would hire another company to actually move us. We spoke at length to David Traina, going over a detailed list of items we would be moving. He sent me a quote in the amount of $6941.05. The estimated volume was 1472 cu ft. The cost was $3.36 per cu ft plus some fixed costs (binding fee/flat rate, fuel surcharge). I paid a deposit in the amount of $1933. I also told David that I wanted to have the CH Global Vanlines move my 2010 Honda Insight. He quoted me a price of $900. We were told that we would receive a phone call approximately 3 days prior to our move from quality assurance (John Harris) to go over the list of items being moved and to answer any questions we had. Early in the week of June 11th, I called customer service regarding the car. I was told at that point that there was no record of the car being moved. I was later told that the car could be moved by another partner company for $1300. I declined to have my car moved by that company and located a reputable auto transport company. Our move was scheduled for June 14th or 15th, 2019. When I first spoke with John Harris the week of June 11th, he and I went over my list of items. There were some additions and deletions from the original list which, in my estimation, balanced each other out. He gave me a new volume estimate of 2029 cu ft and a new quote of $10732.60. In addition to the increase based on the cubic footage, other fees which we had been told were flat fees were increased as well. John also informed me that I would need to pay another deposit based on the higher estimate even though there was no mention of that in the original contract. Given that the move was scheduled to happen in about 3 days, I felt as though I had no other option. I paid another deposit in the amount of $2268.73.
The week of June 11th, I received a phone call from Sal, from Direct Movers, LLC. I had never heard of that company before then. Sal asked me if I could switch my moving date to June 13th (a day earlier than planned) so that his driver, Sahid, would not have to come back to New Jersey (where the company is based) between 2 moves. I questioned him first about his company and how they were related to CH Global Vanlines. This was the first time that I began to realize that CH Global Vanlines was merely a broker. The movers arrived on June 13th with a truck that was already partially filled and they were unable to fit our items in the truck. They had to get another vehicle. After the vehicle was loaded, we were told that the volume was 3400 cu ft and the new total cost was $18271. I questioned the cubic footage but I couldn't confirm that the # was wrong because there was so much else in the truck. I questioned a few other charges and was given a slight discount. The final cost ended up being $17261. I told the driver, Sahid, that I completely disagreed with the cost and I even called CH Global Vanlines and spoke with customer service and John Harris. Again, similar to earlier in the week, I felt I had no choice. I had to either pay the money or have the movers unload the truck with all of my items.
On June 28th, another moving company, AJ Express, Inc, delivered our items. The driver, Ruston, arrived with a 57 ft long truck. He explained and showed us that our items were packed very efficiently in the front third of that vehicle. I measured the length, width, and height of that portion of the vehicle and calculated 1455 cu ft (18.5 ft x 9.25 ft x 8.5 ft). This number was less than the original amount quoted back in February of 2018.
Therefore, I am due $17261 (amount paid) - 6941.05 (amount quoted) = $10319.95 as a refund. I have sent this request to both CH Global Vanlines and Direct Movers, LLC without satisfaction. There was also damage done to items that were not protected well by the movers in MA.

  14. Don't go for these cheaters!

I had hired CH Global Vanlines to move my inventory from my friend's place in Lancaster, PA to my current address in Hillsboro,OR. I had submitted a video and inventory list of what I wanted moved from PA to OR thinking it shoud be good enough for them to estimate things correctly since they have been in this business for a long time. I also shared the same inventory list and video with other movers that I had contacted for moving my inventory thinking it would help me compare their pricess better. After going through the video and inventory list, the personnel at CH Global Vanlines submitted a quote which was accepted by me since the quote that this company gave was most economical for me at $2402.43 with a certain cubic feet volume as compared to other movers. The other movers that I had contacted had quoted more but their cubic feet estimation was in the same ball park as CH Global Vanlines. My friend submitted the initial advance that was needed and was awaiting the driver from this company to pick-up my inventory at his place in Lancaster,PA.He spent additional $150 to have all of my inventory packed properly with the help of boxes he got from home depo. On the day when the driver was supposed to arrive and pick-up the inventory from my friend's place. the driver your company had sent , unpacked everything that was boxed by my friend and shrink-wrapped by him that was the original mentioned inventory and packed all my inventory in his boxes . Later, once everything got done and my inventory was loaded on the truck - he started demanding and exorbitant amount of money - $4800 to be precise reasoning that the inventory occupies 870 cubic feet and it is occupying additional space and he is charging for the boxes.

The quote that I got from CH Global Vanlines company for moving my things from PA to OR was $2402.43 and that is what I had signed on.
I had shared an inventory list and a video of my inventory with them before getting a quote from you. This I thought would help them quote me the right price based on my inventory list and having a visual picture of all my articles.

Based on CH Global Vanlines assessment and pricing for moving the inventory , I chose this company to move my articles. The quotes I got from other moving companies also suggested the same volume for my inventory, so this comes as a huge shock and surprise that the inventory doubled after the driver came to pick-up my articles from the friends place.

I can understand if there would be a mismatch of couple hundred dollars in the assessment and the actual inventory volume but the quote here almost doubled! I believed that CH Global Vanlines are a professional moving company who do this job on a daily basis, so there should not be such a huge gap in their volume assessment, especially when I shared with them a video of my inventory. Moreover, whenever I had my interactions with the driver over the phone, he sounded more like an extortionist rather than a mover.
I complained over email/phone to CH Global Vanlines but has not received any confirmation of amount/estimated arrival of my inventory till date. It has been more than a month now. CH Global Vanlines made me talk to their manager, I explained everything to this manager over phone. More than a week later, there was no response - nothing over the phone or over email. I kept on calling the office of CH Global Vanlines continuously and also sent them numerous emails but nothing has happened till date. They are holding my furniture to ransom and are not giving me any estimation of arrival of my furniture and inventory nor are they saying anything on the amount that is being charged from me now that is double of the initial signed amount on the contract.

  15. Fraud company Scam Beware.

They were supposed to pick me up at 9 am on Saturday. At 2ish, I got a phone call. He said he’d be there at 630. I called at 730. He said he’d be there at 930. I called at 1030. He said he’d call when he was close and if I was sleeping, he’d pick me up at 7 am. He called at 1 am and of course I was sleeping. I called at 1030 am. He said he’d pick me up at 415. I called at 4-5 and he said he’d get there when he got there. It was 8 ish pm Sunday. 35 hours of run around and excuses. I called the office many times. They let it go to voicemail and never returned their emails. When I finally heard anything back it was that I signed s binding contract and they’d take my money if I backed out. The move was horrible. They damaged my floor, damaged my wall, called me a hoe, was interested in smoking weed, got in a fist on my porch at 1 am.. and the office gives me excuses or the run around when I don’t want to pay full price for that treatment.
