  1. Do Not Trust/charges Extra Than Quoted.

    I asked for a moving quote on a website and this company called more than twice each time with a lower price quote. Finally I took the service. I asked them over email if there is going to be any extra charge and they said as long as the move is over in 2.5hrs there is no extra charge at all and that will be my final price. The move didn't take even 2 hrs but they asked for more than $150 extra than quoted price. When I talked with the manager he was very rude, finally said if I pay the quoted amount by cash they will refund the deposit in my credit card. They never refunded the deposit despite writing it down in the moving contract.
    I contacted the office many times but they said they will send the message to the manager and manager will contact me which never happened. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. DO NOT TRUST THE QUOTE THEY PROVIDE.

  2. Very Good Movers.

    It first started with the free in home estimate I was looking to schedule. I didn't want to pay someone to come do a estimate then pay then again to move me. Darryl came out and took pictures and did my estimate. I was quoted 550 for my move. I didn't have to pay him to come to me or anything. There were professional and courteous and I believe my estimate was fair. I received higher phone quotes from different companies and chase proved to be one of the lowest and I'm happy with my decision to use there moving company.

  3. Do Not Use!!

    TERRIBLE!! THEY NEVER SHOWED UP! I was supposed to be moved btwn 1:30 an 4:30. I called and called, only to get excuse, no ETA and had the nerve to ask if they could do it the next day. I had to be out that day. I ended up having to rent a uhaul truck at 8pm and beg people to help. On top of that, they didn't give me my deposit back until 4 days later. This was 9/1/15. Do Not use them.

    We were moved by this company yesterday and the reviews are correct! They showed up 7 hours late and doubled our final bill with useless charges! I am so upset. They require cash only to get the items off the truck. We paid for them to reassemble our furniture but as soon as the things were off the truck they got back in their van and sped away! They didn't even close the door when they left. They also didn't let me look in the truck to make sure that everything was unloaded.  Our hand painted bookshelf was torn into 3 pieces and then moved. Unfortunately, they didn't ask if it could be taken apart because the answer is no. It is a single piece. However, they managed to tear it apart and left it in pieces. We had to get it recycled today.  The parts to our bed frame were not returned to us, so until I purchase more, we are on a mattress on the floor. .

  5. Beware!!

    Please reconsider and read these reviews BEFORE you use this company!  This company kept adding charges and dragged the moving time out to over 7 hours!! Even though the move was around the corner!! I was charged $785 including $15.00 to put a little wrap on the entertainment center and they STILL broke a hinge on it. They misplaced the screws for the bed so my daughter had to sleep on the mattress on the floor until I could get someone to get screws and put the bed together. They made dents in the hardwood floor from sliding the couch. One of them even DEFINITELY took my daughter's IPad. (I had proof). Driver denied it and the office management refused to replace it! Please take my advice and do not use them. Horrible! Horrible nightmare!!

    Absolutely horrible experience with the management at this company. I hired them to move me from my home into an apartment.  The final cost was over $500 what was quoted which was not the worst part of the experience.  The movers misplaced parts to reassemble two of my beds and when I found the parts I was told they were going to charge me to come back out to finish the job. Absolutely unacceptable considering it was the movers that misplaced the parts in the first place.  When I left messages for management they didn't even bother to call me back. I also sent faxes and certified letters with no response.  I found a friend to complete the assembly for $20 otherwise I would have taken these scam artist to court. I feel sorry for their employees!

  7. Nightmare moving company.

    Please before using this company read ALL the reviews. I don't want anyone else to be treated the way I was! They kept added charges after charges. .whoever heard of a charge just to have on tv on the truck..15.00 to put a little wrap on it ..pay extra just to have basic insurance..one if the do called partners was so rude. Just take my advice and don't do it! Horrible!

  8. Chase Movers Are Scammers- Holds your Furniture as Hostage.

    Read every negative review on this site, as they are all true and happened to me. They were an hour late, then called me and said they were sitting in their truck for 20 minutes (lie). They load your belongings on their truck then put a "manager' on the phone who states that they want to make sure you are not over budget and let them know if you are (overbudget). They take twice as long as it should (and what they quoted), then they add 3 extra hours to the final bill. They demand you pay cash before they will unload their truck, which was double the expected/quoted charge. of course you have to pay them as they have all of your belongings on their truck (if I had it to do over again, I would have called the police). After paying them cash, they dumped all the furniture in the house (and provided no help arranging furniture where you want nor set up of beds, etc.). They quoted $375 - $475, but charged me $855.00 (insisting on cash only)  Beware of this company!  I wish I would have researched reviews about them before hiring them. I tried calling the owner who does not return calls (guess didn't epect otherwise). They don't want to rectify and return part of my money they overcharged, so I will make sure to contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB), American Movers Assoc (AMA), Michigan Movers Assoc (MMA) and the Michigan Licensing Board (Public Service Commission). I suggest that other customers who were also scammed by Chase Moving Co. do the same. This company needs to have their license taken away (or fined if they were illegally posting that theyare licensed).

  9. Undependable.

    I told Chase Movers that I needed an 800lb hot tub moved, I described the brand, size, dimensions and weight to Chase Movers before they came to my house.  They gave me a flat rate charge of $396.  Trisha from Chase told me that her movers would arrive between 12-3pm, they didn't arrive until 8pm when it was dark.  When they arrived, they said that they could not move it because it was too heavy and they needed more guys.  They seemed like they didn't know anything about moving hot tubs, one even asked me how it came apart.   When I called them the next day, Trisha told me that they need more guys to come out again and now the price would now be $700-$800.  I told them that I cannot pay that price and would like my deposit back.  Trisha stated that I did not tell them how big the hot tub was and they didn’t know they needed more guys, so I would not be getting my deposit back.  I don’t know how I could have described the hot tub any better.  From the very first phone call, I described the hot tub and that it was about 800lbs, I even offered to send a photo before they came out the first time and they said that it was not necessary.  I called them several times over the last couple weeks trying to get my deposit back.  They kept refusing so I tried to get them to come back out so I don’t loose my deposit and they never return my phone calls.   I am very dissapointed in this company's work ethics.  .

  10. Happy with Chase Moving Company.

    Chase Moving Company did a great job for us. We were worried when we read the reviews, but we had a good experience. The customer service team in the office was very professional and kind. The movers were professional and personable. They were even very sweet to our two baby girls. They respected our posessions and treated them with care. We were misquoted at first due to the fact that we were moving 2.5 hours away. They apologized for the mistake and gave us the option to cancel our move and get our deposit refunded. We decided to stay with them even though the cost was a little more than we had anticipated. It was still much less than the other quotes we got. The move was very smooth and we would definitely use them again.

  11. Will double your rate.

    Pros - They are available at a drop of a hat.Cons - They will double your rate.  Move should have cost $536, they charged my daughter close to $1000.  Can't get in contact with the company.  Refusing to take phonecalls, cash only, no receipt of charges. Left my daughter pennyless because of their overcharging.  We had budgeted the move, discussed it with the company and I gave her (college student) enough to work with and pay them well.  They took everything she had and left her with nothing.

  12. Moving a sofa and love seat 30 miles.

    I expected to be overcharged and was not disappointed. I read the other bad reviews after booking Chase and giving them a credit card deposit over the phone. Lisa in the office was very nice. I hope she finds a job with a honest firm in the near future.

    After arriving at my house with the furniture they had picked up from friends that were moving, they sat in their truck for ten minutes before coming in. Nowhere on the contract did it say what they were to do. The next ten minutes was getting a signature for my credit card and collecting cash for the remainder of the move. I was asked to rewrite my signature because they could not read it. My signature is my signature. The amount was $47 above the highest amount quoted. The next ten minute was them back in the truck doing paperwork.

    I have terrible experience with Chase Moving Company on 1/25/2014. Before posting, I took a look at the previous BEWARE reviews and astonishingly realized that Chase Moving Company use same trick to cheat every customer! I called them and emailed them for quote and clarifications before move. Their customer service, Latrice told me the move will start at the "from" place and stop at the "to" place. Their mover came at 5:30, ONE HOUR LATE!! The first thing they told me the start time is from the truckyard and they left at 3:35. Then I called their office. Their manager Dornelle told me he has to pay their movers by State Law from the truckyard. He even asked me "I have servied thousands of customers. Why would you want both "start at the "from" place and stop at the "to" place" and "half an hour free"? I laughed out on the outrageous quesiton. They changed their face so fast!! I told him that was what they offered but not I asked. Email could be legal evidence if they FRAUD me. In the meantime, movers were loading my belongs to their truck. I had furnitures to be delivered in the next few days. It was too late to find another moving company immediately. So after argument, they set the Start Time at 4:30. Again they came at 5:30. So not only did I get half an hour free, but I paid them half an hour more.    Then the movers show started. They didn't care customer's belongs at all. Like reviewer, Subinoy said they moved everything "without asking how it shall be handled," and just put everything on the snow before loading and unloading. When they arrived my new home, It was 8 PM. Before unlaoding, they said the estimated finish time would be 10 PM, after deducting the free 0.5 hr, I had to pay 5 hours fee (4:30-9:30) 1 hr service fee. If I don't pay them by cash right away, they don't unload and would take my belongs away. I was totally shocked. They were shamelessly robbing me!! I paid them because it was too late, my wife was sick and robbers could do anything on you. On the following days, when I unpacked my stuff, I found a lot damages. The most valuable one is a pottery trophy purchased from Hawaii in July 2013, my wife and I was engaged at there. Other stuff includes one glass lunch box(Glasslock brand, purchased from H-Mart), one TV stand(purchased from Walmart), one dining chair(purchased from Art Van). I would never forget the movers name: Moe and Noel. Last chapter is their claim service (I purchased insurance). A lady called Murray is in charge of that part. One weeks ago, she answered my phone and promise that she would file claim and take care of everything for me and get back to me ASAP. As of now, she never call me back and never reply my emial. I was totall dumped~~ When my wife and I called their office, Latrice allways say Murray is not here. But I won't let things end like this way. I totally agree with reviewer, Charlene's thought "I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney's office. I will not stop until this place is closed down or I receive a FULL refund. This company neets to be SHUT DOWN!!  " .

  14. Well Worth it.

    Chase Moving Company made my first experience with a professional moving company a great one! The Movers ( Earl and Moe) were on time, polite, and very hard working. They also displayed a great amount of patience as I did ask them to rearrange my living room furniture 5 times. The receptionist was very professional when she helped me schedule my move. I was grateful they gave me an accurate estimate and I was blessed not to encounter any unforeseen problems. I also appreciated that they both e-mailed and mailed my confirmation and moving package.. This of course made my moving process so much easier because of all the good information that Chase provided for me. I did not feel comfortable giving my credit card information over the phone so the owner was nice enough to waive the deposit for me. The movers were dressed professionally and very well groomed, they also spoke in a professional manner. I would recommend this company to anyone that I knew was moving and looking to have a strss free & positive moving experience!!

    A NIGHTMARE!! This is the worst moving company I have ever experienced. I advised this company of every piece of furniture I had, but I did under estimate the boxes. I estimated 50-60 and in reality there were approximately 100. I was quoted $229.00-$319.00. See the email below that I received from the company. "YOUR TIME STARTS FROM OUR TRUCK YARD. YOU WILL BE LOOKING AT $229.00 - $319.00 FOR YOUR MOVE, WITHOUT ANY UNFORSEEN PROBLEMS. THANK YOU, MARIE" This move cost me $2000!! Yes, $2000! AND this move was within the same city! I was told that my furniture was "big". Not only was I charged 6 times more than quoted I had to give the movers more and more money throughout the day in order for them to unload the truck. ONE BIG PROBLEM. I was told they only take cash. I was told to have $400 on me to be safe. With the banks being closed the maximum daily limit I could retrieve out of the ATM is $500. I not only reached my daily limit, but I was forced to have my parents reach their daily limit. BUT that still wasn't enough. Before they would unload the truck they wanted an additional $501.00. Unable to get anymore money from the ATM, they took the truckload of my belongs and left. They had to come back the next day when I was able to retrieve my daily limit of $500 from the ATM machine. NOW they wanted $575.00 to unload my property, because they had to drive back. AGAIN I informed them that I can only get $500 a day out of the ATM. Once again they refused to unload the truck. FINALLY the owner graciously allowed me to write a check for $75.00. The owner Darnell is absolutely not into customer service nor into giving correct quotes. They will hold your property hostage until you pay them WHATEVER amount they choose to charge you. I was told that this company will low ball the quote just to get the job. This is the worst moving experience then anyone could have. I not only will post this review on any and all websites possible I am contacting the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney's office. I will not stop until this place is closed down or I receive a FULL refund. This company neets to be SHUT DOWN!!  .
