  1. Negative all around.

Ditto the negative star comment of another customer. My husband and I are both AD military and we moved overseas for the first time. This company lost the majority of our household goods, which included most of our "high value items," such as Waterford Crystal, Lenox China, fine silver silverware set, family heirlooms, electronics, and high quality kitchen items like KitchenAid mixer. The value of the "misplaced" goods was between $50,000-60,000. The company will only pay out $5,000. It has been months and this company cannot even communicate to us "where" in the process our goods were "lost" or "stolen." From our email and phone communications with the "claims specialist" it seems as if there is little or no investigation into the location of our goods. Plus, we found out they didn't even package our goods appropriately. The movers gave a lame excuse of not being able to "crate" our goods on site due to the amount of goods and the smaller size of the trucks. As first time overseas movers we trusted that the movers were giving us accurate information but now it seems like this might have been part of a scam. I can hardly fathom that fellow Americans would steal from military service members. We sacrifice so much as individuals and a family and you were paid to do a job that you did not complete appropriately. My husband and I are not allowed to be "incompetent" in our jobs..the lives of others depend on it. Yet, it seems like this company used the opportunity for the perfect "scam" to get "high value" items and only have to pay a "fraction" of the price for them. This is truly fraud and thief. I pray ya'll lose future business and that you lose your military contract! The American people deserve better!

  2. Coastal Moving Company.

If I could give a negative star I would, but I take part of the blame. I didn't check to see if they were the actual moving company or a moving broker. They are a broker. Second mistake, going with a company that required a deposit. The movers were supposed to be at my house on 7/28 or 7/29. ON 7/28 I was told they would be there between 4 and 6 pm on 7/29. Late morniing of 7/29 I received a message that they were overbooked and would get there maybe 7/30 or 7/31. This was from the moving company Coastal hired. I tried calling Coastal but of course it was Saturday so I could not get in touch with anyone. I told the actual movers that I could absolutely not wait until Monday, but they really didn't care and told me to complain to Coastal. I'm now out an $800 deposit and am driving a uhaul truck cross country, three dogs in the truck with me, and towing my car behind.

  3. Horrible.

We are former miliary this was our last military move. This company never contacted me about when or what time out goods would arrive I had to keep calling. When our house hold goods were delivered there were 2 items missing one was a high value that was not placed on the list as it sould have been along with a few others that were not and should have been. When I tried to claim the item (computer monitor) I was told it was not itemized so "too bad". The manager would not help me. I tried asking him questions, and he would not even let me speak he kept yelling at me that he would not talk to me until I turned in my second round of claims forms. We also had 8 other large tiems that were broken, this is not our first move and most of it has been moved several times including overseas and back and made it jsut fine. This company could not move it across town without damaging it. On delivery one of the employees continually asked me for itmes that I am storing in my garage. He said "if you're not going to be using it" (an entertainment cabinet and a $200 rug). I am also 98% sure that one of them stole my 2 year old's IPhone (it no longer worked as a phone). The apartmetn is only 1300 sq ft and it will not go down the toilet. This company has no regard for others or their belongings, no professionalism, work ethic, just plain rude.
