Liars and Strong Arm Tactics
Paid deposit for a 3 man crew to move a 2-bedroom, local move. Later in the afternoon, the co-owner called and said he had to have 4 men on the job and wanted $300 plus more. I said no, and he said 4 men or the move is cancelled. Stet away from these liars and strong arm tactics.
Bait and Switch Pricing
We needed one recliner, a small stool, and two rooms of carpet hauled away. Based on the pricing online I expected about $100 - when they got here they quoted us $460!! Who in their right mind would pay that? We will look elsewhere for a more reasonable price. We needed it done quickly so I assume that is why they thought we'd bite on a price that high.
Do not use these people
Elijah and Joe were very nice. However, when we booked the service we explained that 2 refrigerators needed to be moved. One hauled away and the other moved from the kitchen to the basement. The one being moved to the basement had an icemaker attached. The gentleman that were sent had no idea how to remove the doors from the refrigerator (icemaker attached) in order to get it through the doors. They were totally unprepared to move anything. They had no handtruck and no tools. No furniture pads and nothing to lay down on the floor when they drug the refrigerator through the house. So now we have to pay someone else to come out and get the refrigerator from our garage into our basement. I would not recommend this service for anything other than hauling away junk. I would give less than one star if I could.
Do Not Recommend
Movers not properly trained or prepared to move armoire from second floor in my home. Result is damage to my hardwood floors that could only be addressed through their repair service or an offer of $300. Neither acceptable. Repair done And custom floors remain damaged. Do not use College Hunks if you expect proper resolution to damage they may cause in your home.
Moving
We had the best experience with the two guys Sam and Jade!! We had everything ready for them when they got to our place. They were fast amd efficient amd were very friendly. I Would recommend them to anyone who has to move. I Have moved befire and used other movers and didn't like them but College Hunks did an awesome job!! ? we will be using them for hauling some stuff for us in the near future. I Recommend them for sure!! They are awesome!!
Hard Workers! Washer & Dryers 3rd Floor Condo
Zaki & Luke moved a washer & Dryer from one house to my condo on the 3rd floor. They also moved my current washer & dryer down to my garage. Did I mention the fact that it was on the 3rd floor? It's on the 3rd floor alright. They were very careful with my stuff. I made comments about how I'm sure they hate moving items to 3rd floor units. "They said we do this all the time, no problem at all." They actually seemed like they were having fun. Not a single complaint! Good people and personalities. Hopefully next time I move I can get Zaki & Luke again. Thanks!
Junk Removal
Diego and Ben are professional, polite and caring. They hauled away a rather large two piece shelving unit quickly. I highly recommend this company. They took care of me within 24 hours of calling. I will definitely keep them in mind for future jobs.
Horrible! Nashua NH local move
I’m not surprised they were the only movers with availability in the short term. They absolutely suck. They left behind a lot of stuff and gladly excepted my husband’s payment and generous tip when they told him they had told him they had taken everything he requested from the house. Good luck trying to contact corporate because there is no information anywhere.The Local office doesn’t respond. Worst company ever.
Junk removal
My first experience with this company went well, so I hired them to come back to do a junk removal.
Job was scheduled Thursday for Sat 16 at 8am. Confirmation was received.
at 10 am, still no crew, so I called the company and couldnt get any one at the local office, so I had to call the corporate office. They said that the crew was doing a full house clean out and was running late. They called the crew and was informed that they would be at our place at 11am. i said that was fine. I was also told that they would call ahead of time to verify they were on the way.
at 5pm, still no crew, no phone call. So I called back to the office. the corporate office told us that there was no job for that day. After a few minutes of arguing, he found the order, but told us that it was scheduled for Monday Oct 18 at 8am!
I said that was not correct and that we never rescheduled it. He was rude and argued with us saying that there wasnt anything they could do.
I find this very unprofessional and unacceptable. I will never use this company ever again
Horrible Customer Service and Lies Greer SC
O start, they were cancelling my move and no call the morning of my move. I finally called when 45 minutes passed and Jason informed me that they need to reschedule for the next day. My house was already disassembled ready for the move and told him that was unacceptable. Then an hour and half later they called and said they would be there in 10 minutes. 45 minutes passed and they finally arrived, the shop is only 5 miles down the street. They informed me that they had to go get some food and drinks before they came to me. Now they informed me that I pay from there shop to my house so i guess I paid for them to do that. Moving on, I watched them drop my marble topped dresser off the back of the truck and broke off a corner and scarred the wood. I informed the Manager Jason Buchannan, he came and took pictures and said he would get back to me by the end of the week. 3 weeks pass and no communication. I stop in and he really didn't seem to care. He gave me the story of the furniture repair guy hasn't called him back yet and that's why he didn't call in 3 weeks. Unlikely. I believe they just wanted my to forget about it. He then offered me .60 cent/weight to go away and I told him to keep his money, that doesn't cover their recklessness or the process in which they do business. I pay by the hour and felt like the crew was inexperienced and moved slowly to prolong the job brining greater revenue. Very Unhappy with this company!!!!
Too expensive to just remove trash now
I was charged around $175 earlier in the year to get some trash removed from my garage, which was fine because that was worth saving the time and money on a Uhaul. But just 5mos later I was charged $300 to move the same amount of stuff! Their excuse was the definitions changed for space. Ridiculous. All I had was boxes and a bookshelf removed. Utterly absurd. Rent a Uhaul if you can and just take the trash yourself now.
Sub-par Moving Experience
Used this company to move me 10 miles across town. They did a "virtual estimate" and severely underestimated my move then hot me with additional charges on the back-end. Attitude was --"oh-well". Did I mention they damage my $3500.00 Samsung Stainless Steel Refrigerator. Never-Ever again will I use this moving service. Never-ever!!!!
BAD EXPERIENCE!
TERRIBLE company to work with. Move was scheduled, then they rescheduled. Then they DIDN‘T SHOW UP. Then rescheduled for next day then at the appointed time snottily said they would be late.Then accused me of threatening them.Now will not return calls. Corporate says the local franchise won’t work with us.
Now we are stuck with apt. lease expiring, empty new home and can’t get another mover until late September. In my opinion they are badly managed corporately and locally. I cannot say ANYTHING good about this company.
Hauling
I had them come and haul several large built ins from a loft on the second floor with a tight exit door. The haul wasnt cheap, went from full truck estimate of $700 to $1000. They charged $100 a piece when the item is considered heavy, mine were. However, the movers Mike, KC and Brandon were EXCELLENT. Ask for them by name.... you wont be disappointed.

BEWARE: COMPLETE RIP-OFF!!! Worst Company, very DECEITFUL, horrible experience. It is a complete switch and bait. Took advantage of my wife and charged almost 4X of proposed price!!!! Will be reporting to Better Business Bureau to protect consumers from these predators! ☹
