  1. Terrible!!

    If I could give negative stars I would. We had a move scheduled today. We were told the movers would be here between 830-930. At about 10, we called and talked to Tony, who said the movers were on a small job and our window was actually 1130-330. At 215 Tony called and said that they didn’t think they would have time today and were out of trucks and wanted to reschedule for Tuesday. He told us to “check Craigslist” for a mover because their schedule was “messed up”. We asked him if we were able to get a truck can they have movers come and he said he didn’t have anyone. This is completely unacceptable for a mover to no-show, especially on a holiday weekend at the end of the month. I would never recommend such an unprofessional company!!

  2. Worst moving experience possible!

    • We contracted with Colorado Moving Company to move our two bedroom apartment on Friday, June 28th. They informed us that they would be there between 8:30 and 9:00AM that day.
    • On Thursday, June 27th at 4:17PM we received a text saying that they would now be there between 9:30AM and 1:00PM the next day.
    • We were prepared and waiting. They did not show. At 2:18PM (one hour after their outside estimate of arrival) we texted to find out when they were coming. We were told then that they would arrive around 3:00PM
    • The movers finally arrived after 5:00PM, a full 8 hours past their earliest arrival estimate.
    • These poor young men had been working for 10 hours at that point. They were exhausted and hungry. And we discovered very shortly that the truck they brought was more than two times too small.
    • They filled the truck up and we had to make a trip to unload it. The owner wanted to charge us an additional trip charge because their truck was too small to take all our things in one load! The first load was unloaded, and we finally headed back to load again after 8:00PM
    • At this point these young men were so tired! The second load was finally ready to go around 10:30PM. The only problem was that they were nowhere close to being finished. There was at least one more load sitting in the apartment!
    • The second load was unloaded in a haphazard hurried fashion. At this point it was after midnight. These poor young had been working for over 17 hours. One broke his glasses when hit in the face by a piece of furniture. One injured his shoulder lifting the couch. We were so grateful for their hard work and dedication to getting done what they could.
    • We made arrangements for them to come back the following day to complete the move and the movers went to their vehicle. Moments later we get a fraud alert telling us that Colorado Moving Company had tried to charge $679.00 on our credit card. The owner had tried to charge the amount twice as well. We had not agreed to the price nor authorized the charge….especially after midnight when the job was not completed yet!
    • At that point on of the young men came to the door with his boss on the phone. We tried another card which was rejected as a fraudulent charge. We discussed with the owner our disappointment in the results of the move and that we would make a partial payment by check. We agreed that we would pay the rest the next day upon completion. A check was written and the young man took it with the agreement that they would return the next day. In the meantime, unbeknownst to us until our bank contacted us, the owner of the company tried to charge the second card twice for the lower amount …even though he had check in hand!!
    • The following day Colorado Moving Company was supposed to call us sometime after noon to come complete the move. They never called. We ended up moving the rest of our belongings ourselves in multiple trips. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING COMPANY THIS TO ANYONE. This was one of the worst experiences we’ve ever had with a service company…and I am sure one of the worst for their poor employees.

  3. DO NOT use Colorado Moving Company!!

    Horrible moving experience. On their website they claim to use: Protective Blankets, Plastic Wrap, Tie Downs, and Professional Straps for Delicate, Large & Heavy Furniture -- they did not!! Two young men showed up, the cab of the truck smelled like they just smoked a joint (truly). We informed them of the delicate and fragile items and provided instructions. They put items all over the truck, with no real plan or care. I have a grandfather clock that is made almost entirely of glass. I gave them very specific instructions on how to handle it and how to put it in truck. They did the EXACT OPPOSITE of what I requested. I feel very lucky that it was not damaged. Most of our wood furniture got multiple scratches from them, which are very visible and hard to hide. They also damaged walls in our new home when they were moving the furniture in. Terrible experience. I would highly recommend you consider other movers!!

  4. A really excellent company.

    Colorado Moving Company moved me on Friday, 1/9.  I can't imagine giving them less than 5 stars.  They took very good care of my belongings, and they were very serious about their work.  They were also very nice to me.  I received calls throughout the day letting me know what the status of the move was and they showed up on the early side of the window time I was given.  I will not only recommend them to anyone who is moving but I will use them again if I move.  I will be posting my review where I can because the company is nothing short of awesome!

  5. Poor service no delivery.

    Scheduled to move one room of furniture for my 94 year old mother's move into Assisted LIving.  Scheduled to arrive between 1-3 pm no call no show when I started calling at 2:30 no answer on cell phone7202267255 left messasge.  Just before 2:45 pm one of the movers called and said he was not even 1/2 way done with the morning delivery and could not make it.   Later his supervisor called and said they had a truck break down and they could not make it.  She had to vacate her place that day.  Left us high and dry and could have cared less.  Do not be stupid like me and expect great service like their web site boasts!
