  1. Frauds in business

1 rating as i do not have a zero. Please do not move with condor moving. The first dishonest or unprofessional company i have experienced in this country in my 8 years here. They are really frauds and should be thrown out of business. To start with the quote and the actual bill was close to double. Then when i called and complained about the over charge i.e. the number of boxes listed vs billed then they refunded me 300. But eventually i paid for the service of packaging as i had a infant and wouldn't be able to do it. That was a blunder. The guys who packed eventually used all large boxes and filled most of them half empty. When i complained about it. I was asked to take a video upon delivery. Which I have taken as well but no action for that. The item was promised to be delivered in a week but took more than 6 weeks to deliver. A compensation of another 1100 was made for that. But unfortunately my company pays me only for the billed amount and so bi literally went through all the pain for nothing. The highest level of unprofessionalism was on the delivery. They damaged the apartment walls, did not reassemble any of the items even though i paid for that service. They delivered me some others belongings and said me i can keep it which i refused and sent back. They lost my head board and damaged many of my items. They also forced me for a $150 tip. Which i didn't have cash and do a money transfer. I was scared that they would do something bad if i do not pay that as they were rude. When i contacted condor moving about my missing items and them delivering some others items to me they were last bothered and asked me to file a claim for my damaged and missing items. I did find a claim but for a kid and damaged or $1800 they are offering me to pay only 350 after a 500 detectible. I really don't want to waste my time any more talking to this company about this unfair business which they are doing. I do not want to file an arbitration and waste further money and time for these frauds. So just want to caution others and move on.

  2. Threatened by company rep; items lost + destroyed

Condor Moving Systems threatened us, lied to us, tried to charge us $1600 extra for items we didn’t have, and broke, lost, or - we believe - stole over $1000 worth of our possessions. I cannot warn you strongly enough to stay far, far away from this company.

On pickup, once the truck was packed, the crew chief, David, came to us (myself and my partner) to review the inventory he'd created on a tablet/iPad, as well as the revised estimate and bill of lading. When we looked over his inventory, we found many items on his list that we didn't have. (Most notably, he had claimed on his inventory that we had 5 air hockey tables. We do not have any air hockey tables.) We asked him why he had listed the air hockey tables, and he said he did not know. We asked him why he put things on our inventory if he didn't know why they were there, and he said he didn't remember why he did that.

He then asked us to sign the revised estimate and bill of lading. We reviewed these and found that he had said we used 272 cu. ft. beyond our initial estimate, yielding a total of 1,150 cu. ft. This yielded an additional charge of $1,632. We pointed out that by his own calculations, we had used 874 cu. ft., not 1,150. We asked him to explain the discrepancy on our revised estimate; he became angry, and threatened to take all of our items off of the truck if we didn't sign the documents. We were, at this point, less than 5 hours from the end of our lease, and obviously had no other way to move our items if David and his crew carried out their threat.

Over the next two weeks, we called Condor Moving Systems repeatedly, informing them that their representative had threatened us unless we signed a false estimate. First, Condor’s customer service representatives told us that it didn’t matter if the estimate was false, because we had signed it. (This is not true: a signature obtained under duress is not legally binding.)

Condor's representatives then said that our item count was higher than initially projected, and that this was the reason for the extra charges. However, the paperwork provided to us by Condor was very clear that they bill by the volume of goods, not their number, and when we mentioned this, Condor's representatives admitted that the number of goods has no impact on pricing. Condor’s representatives repeatedly tried to justify their inflated pricing by claiming that their price structure worked differently than it actually does.

On delivery, we found that over $1000 worth of our belongings had been either destroyed or lost. My camera tripod, valued at $550, had disappeared entirely. We suspect it may have been stolen, since it was the item with the highest resale value. My fiancee's bed frame, worth $291 at purchase, had been smashed to pieces with a hammer.

In short, we lost over $1000 of our valued belongings, and we only avoided paying $1600 in fictitious charges because of our own persistence and careful documentation of Condor’s behavior. Do not hire this company, and do not allow a moving broker to hire them on your behalf. They are not trustworthy or reliable, and your move will not be in safe hands.

  3. Worst Moving Experience

DO NOT USE. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. They charged over double what was quoted and added many charges after paperwork was signed. They would not return phone calls or emails. Very unprofessional, I am shocked they are still in business. Once the truck finally arrived (took over 3 weeks), they didn't show up the day scheduled and didn't call to let us know they weren't coming. It took an extra 3 days afterwards with no notification. Avoid at all costs.

  4. Moving

This company was a sub to national van lines which we didn't know was the way we are going to be moved....the prices were almost tripled and some of our items were broken we just found that out do to renovation to the house we bought.we moved from LA. To KY. When they arrived they couldn't drive the big truck to our road so they had to hire a small truck And bring it in 3 loads and the driver hired 3 helpers that didn't know squat....antique lamps .bed .dresser etc....don't use these people they are a bad deal

  5. Regret

Condor Moving Systems was hired to move my family out of one property on January 29, store our items for 2 months and move us into our new property on April 9. We completed the quote process and stressed the point that we have been underestimated in the past. We asked how often their quotes are missed and we were ensured that it is rare and the miss is usual a few hours of labor. We were quoted $2,188 and estimated $476 in storage. We were charged 13 hours more! The final price ended up $3,751.57 and storage at $754. There was a lack of communication between the sales team and dispatch as they were not prepared to move us out. The extra hours are not accurate. We brought this up with the office and they stated that we were charged for the actual hours used. We have email, text, phone calls and video from our security system that shows we were over charged labor hours. This has been brought to Condor’s attention and they have been argumentative, unprofessional and disrespectful to my wife and myself. We have been blamed every step of the way and Condor has not taken any ownership of their errors. They have blatantly over charged us and their reasoning has been they used more people to complete the move. Even being charged the rates for more people, we would still be over charged. We have asked twice for documents or video to support their claim of the hours used and they will not provide. They continue to argue and take zero accountability. This is part of the last email we received, “…I’m really not sure what is it you don’t understand or what are you upset about the job was done and done well.” We were over charged, the move was two days late, walls/door trim scuffed/damaged and items dropped during loading/unloading. This not a job “…done and done well.” Item are broken but will receive the usual regurgitation of their claim policy. The paperwork was asked to be completed before the move was compete which makes it difficult to notate anything that happens during the move. We also received someone else’s items. This concerns us on how our items were stored. We asked for an explanation but never received one. Horrible experience and we regret hiring this company.

  6. DO NOT USE/ VERY DAMAGING

Very unprofessional for moving business. We had many damages and lost items. We would not have gotten some of them if I hadn't located them on the truck-they were packed with another household. Do not use Full Value Replacement Coverage-must have proof of purchase for every item lost or damaged. Many of our items were heirlooms without receipts. They don't care.

  7. Long distance moving

I was very impressed with this company. The professionalism, the constant updates and communication were so relieving and put me at ease on what was a very stressful move. They were accommodating and thorough and very well priced as well. Highly recommend!!

  8. Worst Experience Ever!

I wish there was a way to report minus 10 stars. This was the worse experience we have ever had, especially for the amount of money they eventually charged us. We were moving from Texas to Kentucky and selected Northern Moving Systems to do the job. After doing a walk thru on camera with Mike Cohen,

Senior Moving Coordinator, an estimate was given and we paid the deposit of well over $3,000 with instructions to pay 1/2 of the balance due upon pick up and the remaining 1/2 due on delivery. A few days later received a call from someone in the service department letting us know that we have possibly not reserved enough room on a truck for our home and that we should go ahead and send an updated list of inventory. Which was done and we had to pay an additional $1,700. When the truck showed up on the pick up date, we were shocked to see that Northern Moving Systems is merely a broker and sent the job to Condor Moving Systems. We were not aware that this was being brokered out as the contract was with Northern Moving Systems. The movers were awful (1 supervisor and a 2 man crew), we had a majority of the house boxed up and it still took them approx 8 hours to put everything on the truck. The supervisor of the move had no idea how much he was supposed to collect so we paid $2,500 just to keep the contract valid. There were some delays on our closing date of our home purchase in Kentucky but we were finally on the schedule to have our household delivered on Christmas Day. When the truck showed up, we were told we had to pay the balance of over $6,000 before he would even open the doors to the truck. There are items missing, furniture broken and/or scratched, boxes that were soaking wet with the items inside ruined. They did not reassemble our furniture correctly, did not hook up the appliances, and left the trash from the move in the garage for us to dispose of. The truck driver was extremely rude to both of us, although the crew he hired did a great job considering it was freezing outside and it was Christmas Day. There was not an accurate list checked off by the truck driver. I was actually given the list to write down the box tags as they were unloaded and as mentioned above, there are items missing. As we have been unboxing, we have determined that Condor Moving Systems, went through our boxes and repacked them. Some boxes looked fine until they were opened, only to find the contents inside were soaking wet, covered in mold/mildew and ruined. We have left several messages for Northern Moving Systems to contact us so that we could report the damages and submit a claim (since the contract did include extra insurance for potential damages). I have a ton of pictures and have had to replace items that were broken or missing. There are some personal items that cannot be repaired or replaced. I really need someone to be held accountable and will tell everyone I know about this horrible experience. I will be posting reviews about both companies wherever I can!

  9. Only sent one guy to bring my stuff and he's paying for labor on Craigslist

Unbelievably, Condor only sent one guy too unload the truck. He was not able to manipulate the very heavy sleeper sofa into the elevator alone so he started dragging it up the stairwell. He told me it's already got some damage. I saw part of the leg on the floor. 3 calls to his dispatcher, Ashley, for help. She made him find someone on his own. He placed an ad on Craigslist. I don't know who or what is coming to help him dislodge the furniture.

You're better off going to Craigslist on your own. My move was nearly $4,000 from Dallas to Pompano Beach. Two otherpieces are damaged and will be in the claim also. This was a 3 man job.

  10. Please, please do not use this service

Honestly, I would rate this zero stars if I could and I beg you please do not use this service. I had my belongings moved from Dallas to Washington DC and included storage. When I received my goods, the mover demanded I pay more money than I was originally quoted for and intimidated me until I go to the ATM to give him more money. When I opened up my goods I found many of my items mishandled and damaged.

I filled out a claim and received a response from Anthem Claims that they would pay me nothing for my damages. Currently, I'm awaiting arbitration for this to see if I can recoup any losses.

I spoke to an employee named Deanna about my experience. Although sincere and apologetic, she offered to do nothing for me. She informed that Condor is essentially a moving broker that simply hires companies to do the moving for them. In other words, they really don't manage any of these employees or the companies themselves so they cannot be responsible for their actions.

Pay a little more and get a quality company to move your belongings. I move often for my profession and I have loved the work that Armstrong does! Shame on you Condor, this has hurt me financially more than you would ever care to consider.

  11. TERRIBLE COMPANY

I made sure i waited until all of my things were delivered and in good condition before i posted this. And i will post it everywhere that will allow me to. There’s no way this place could possible have an A rating on BBB. Dealing with them has been a complete nightmare. They will get you in the beginning. DUSTI (fitting name) is so sweet and attentive in the beginning. She answers all calls and communicates well in the beginning. But let something go wrong. She ignores calls and then when i finally reach her (using a different phone number) she says “sorry i have covid” only after i got in her bosses ass and the boss made her call me back smhhh. The most unprofessional shady SNAKES.

The driver comes over 6 hours late to pack my things then waits til everything is on the truck to DOUBLE MY FEE. Then the boss in the warehouse that sounds like tony soprano is trying to strong arm me and tell me i have to pay that extra money....DOUBLE what the original estimate was.

Then all of a sudden your calls are being ignored and no one is in the office. No one answers calls but as soon as i send a text saying i need the updated invoice then three minutes later i have an email. A bunch of people who don’t want to face their crookish ways when someone calls it out. I WENT AS FAR AS TO DOWNLOAD AN APP TO CREATE A FAKE NUMBER. AND THATS WHEN THEY PICKED UP. I ended up being charged 2000 on an original 1500 estimate after i raised hell about being charged 3000 and he straight STUTTERED when i asked him to explain the extra charges. Then DUSTI lies about how long it will take. She tells me 10 days but on the invoice it has a ridiculous range of days that we never discussed. And they ended up delivering my things LATE ANYWAY. When the driver called me yesterday he said my balance is $2100 after i had already spoken to the company. I tell him i am not paying that and he shows up the next morning anyway with an attitude like “it’s not my job to call the company”

THEN!!! The people moving my belongings are. A WHOLE OTHER COMPANY! Condor lied and said they were not brokers! This is the worst and most stressful experience of my life. I have been living in this new city sleeping on an air mattress and recycling the small amount of clothing i was able to pack in my car because i gave them everything else. Shame on this bullshit ass company for treating people like this who spend their hard earned money with them. THIS COMPANY IS DECEITFUL AND JUST WANTS YOUR MONEY. I’d trust the homeless man on the street before i trusted these people.

  12. Worst move ever

Our initial “guaranteed” estimate was between $9,000 and 10,000. When they picked up our things the bill of lading said $13,000. We questioned this and were told that the actual items packed and loaded onto the truck were more than the estimate. We told them we’d dispute this amount. We had no idea that they would take our things to a warehouse where they would sit for over a week. 15 days later a truck arrived with our things. The driver sat in the cab most of the day sleeping while two very nice guys brought everything in. At 5 pm the driver took off without even affording us the opportunity to check paperwork to see if everything had arrived. A few days later upon unpacking artwork we discovered 4 pieces were missing, one of which was a signed print by a well known artist. There were several pieces of pottery and glassware that were broken as well. All in all the damage and loss was in excess of $5000. We disputed the charges with our credit card company but when they contacted the company they were told that we signed paperwork stating we received everything in good condition. We never signed any paperwork because the driver of the truck left and left behind the two guys to finish bringing in items into the house. This is the most unprofessional company we have ever dealt with. From the other reviews I am reading it appears that there is an initial bait and switch with a low ball figure and then when they pick you up increase the amount considerably. For us it was an increase of 43% over the original “guaranteed” estimate. In addition no one disclosed that we would be charged an additional $146 to put the charges on a credit card. This move was booked through Northern Moving Systems who hired Condor to do the move.

  13. Avoid this company if possible.

Be very careful when using condor moving systems company. They trick you with an initial low price and then double or triple the final cost. For me they doubled the "binding" estimate! And added a $450 shuttle fee and violated the delivery range by more than 16 days and after total 33 days they delivered my stuff. So choose wisely and avoid this company if you can. The only thing they were not too bad at was securely wrapping my furniture, so at least after more than one month and paying a lot of money, my furniture is not broken!

  14. Delayed pick up.

I was scheduled for pick up of my furniture between 8-10am this morning and it's almost 12 noon and nobody showed up yet. I've been calling the number and all I got was answering service, office is closed, nobody to talk to about movers. Worst moving company..I'll NEVER use this company again. I'm supposed to drive 11 hours to Georgia but can't leave until they arrive, have to be out my place today..

  15. Where to start.

The final drop off was a mess. The company originally told me I could pay with credit card, then the guy dropping my stuff off told me they only do cashier check or cash. Additionally the guy gave me a 4 hour window for drop off and then canceled at the end of the window saying he wouldn't make it. The next day the guy said his tractor trailor wouldn't fit into my apartment complex, so he made me go rent a uhaul and meet him at a Walmart. At the Walmart he started with having me sign the paper work and asked me whether I would be tipping. Also, he told me there was a $100 dollar waiting fee for me to get the U-haul which I am sure he pocketed since on the paperwork he never documented it. Then the guys unload the truck into my U-haul, and they lost an ottoman! I mentioned this and said that is there any paperwork that needs to be signed. They said give it a few days they needed to talk to their manager. Then they left! I had to take the u-haul to my place and unload all my stuff my self. I had a king size bed! Later on when I went to file a claim for my stuff, they denied it saying that I signed the paper work! I had to fight for weeks to end up only getting a $24 check. My company will never use them again.
