  1. Came on-time, were very courteous,.

Came on-time, were very courteous, and took great care of both furniture and structures. They are strong and very fast. Not a speck of damage to anything, hardworking professional and sweet team This was the best money I've ever spent on a local service. I would recommend them to anyone, and we ll use them again.

  2. Excellent local moving company!

    Excellent local moving company!
were very prompt, we made an appointment at 9:30 am
and they were at our door at 9:30.
worked so efficiently as a team to get the job done in a timely fashion with such great respect.
They were very careful with my furniture using protective covers for everything and helped pack things.
Thanks again You made our move a success and stress free.

  3. Movers.

It was  an awful experience. манаджер Алех constantly said lies. Loaders led by Yura have arrived on an hour later. Elicited money. Had brock a s furniture. Tools were stolen.Rudeness and roughness.

  4. Piece of..

I don't know how are they continue doing their business. They never showed up and I had to pay double to hire another movers because of these [EDIT]. Dont ever even think to use this moving company. Completely NO. When I called on the day of pick up they were very mean and used very offensive language and even made racist comment. They are worthless and again don't even think about using them for your move. This company should check their staff or close the company. Complete dissapointment.

  5. Rude and Unreliable.

If I could give them 0 stars I would..We had scheduled a move a month in advance for June 29th.  3 days before the move the "owner" (not sure if he was or not) called me to confirm..and by confirm I mean he tried to change my moving date, I got a little upset and stressed and said "are you friggen kidding me?!" he thought I used a more vulger f word and proceeded to tell me I was white trash, and yell at me for being rude even as I explained that he mis understood me (english was clearly his second language) but he insisted I was white trash.  When I asked if they were coming on Saturday or not he said yes but I was unsure due to the altercation so my husband called and spoke to someone else to confirm.  Come the day of our move it's 8:30 am and the movers are 30 minutes late so I call and get the same person who called me white trash he said he'd call the driver and get back to me.  An hour passes no movers and no call so I call again he said he can't find the driver he'll call me when the guy calls him back.  I continued to call every 30 minutes until about 10:30 when it became clear no one was coming and the guy tells me just call back on monday and they will have someone move us then..not an option as we HAD to be out of our place by the end of the day on the 29th.  They never showed up, apologized or anything.  I would not reccommend them to anyone ever.  Rude, dishonest, and unreliable.  Note: we were quoted at $450 but since they never showed up no money was exchanged.

  6. Continental Van Lines - Bayonne NJ.

I made the mistake of scheduling a move for the busiest weekend of the moving season. It's the end of the month, it's a weekend, it's summer, college kids are coming home. I understand all this. I booked my movers two weeks in advance at an agreed to price of $450 (3 men, 5 hours labor, 1 hour travel). They were supposed to show up on Friday afternoon. Four times during the week, they called to "confirm" and attempt to reschedule my move. An hour and a half after they were to arrive, I was told that their truck had no brakes and the part would only take about ten more minutes. After questioning this, I was told they couldn't do my move. I immediately went into crisis mode and located a Uhaul and "mover helpers." Continental called back, they could have a truck to us in the morning. Three men and a truck would be there by 8:00 Saturday morning. They arrived at 9:15 in rented Budget truck. They immediately told us that our things wouldn't fit in the truck (all along I had told them three bedrooms and a garage) and told me it would take more time than the estimate, which is fair. They began loading by 9:30, and by 9:45, the three of them were sitting outside having a cigarette break. When I asked that they speed things up a bit, since I was paying them hourly and I'd barely seen them do anything yet, the supervisor (I'm guessing at his role - I never saw him lift anything except his cigarette) called his boss, who called me and told me that my move would now cost $1,200, flat-rate, or his men would go somewhere else. The supervisor reappeared as soon as I hung up the phone with a new "contract" for me to sign (I say "contract" because the entire thing is illegible). I refused, having already signed a contract in the morning. His boss got on the phone with my fiancé and began calling him horrible names and screaming at him. I called the police to come supervise them unload the few things they had already loaded and leave my property. They were getting threatening and aggressive with my fiancé and a witness suggested calling the cops before things escalated.I still had to pay them for the time they were here - I ended up giving them $100 and telling them to get lost an hour and a half after they showed up. We've located a truck (no small feat this weekend) and have friends coming to help load it. Continental Van Lines of Bayonne are a nightmare to deal with - and unfortunately, they review pretty well. Before you waste your time and end up in a situation of them holding your things hostage while trying to extort more money from you, please consider another moving company (or, in my experience, rent a truck and hire mover helpers through Uhaul or buy some friends pizza and beer). Save yourself the hassle and stress of dealing with some shady folks.

  7. Honesty.

The very first statement from Jamison Lewis was how dependable and honest the company of Continental Van Lines is to their customers.  He next said "Absolutely we will be there to pick up your furniture on Sunday, October --, 2012."  The day came and went and no moving truck.  Now of course he was not availble the following Monday. We had airline tickets to reschedule now, which cost extra money.  When Jamison finally returned my call. he tells me he never made that moving time statement.  I ask to speak to the manager.  I was on hold for several minutes, which allowed these people time to plan their answers.  Of course, the manager agrees with Jamison.  Most the other moving companies I have spoken with have given better quotes and have quoted the move 2 to 3 weeks out and have told me Jamison was not telling the truth.  It was to late.  The contract had already been signed and the 3 days were already expired.  From that point forward nothing scheduled was on time.  Continental subbed my move to Colorado Moving and Storage who was late and also lied to me saying my furniture would be on the road that weekend.  6 weeks later I still had no furniture in Missouri.  2 weeks from then I received only half my furniture and the damages began.  3 weeks from the delivery I received the next half of my furniture.  More damages and missing items.  I am not going to continue with this saga since the overall message is to warn the next person who encounters Jamison Lewis, Continental Van Lines, and Colorado Moving and Storage to beware.  You WILL be in for a disappointing and costly move. I will never hire either company again. L Or  .

  8. Good Lord..what a nightmare!!

Items thrown in boxes, no wrapping on them. Paintings thrown in crate - not in box. Expensive clock not packed in box. Movers wore headphones whole time. Tried talking to them about what not to pack. They packed all my important papers and left behind a $2,000.00 Kirby. Refused to come back and get it. Refused to unpack to find important papers. Wanted to charge me by hour to find them. I specifically said: DO NOT pack this pile of papers, please!! I found corroded batteries when I unpacked!! At destination, my $7,000.00 sewing machine was busted, my 5th anniversary gift Small World clock no longer works. No parts box packed, so all hardware missing. Spinning wheel broken and missing parts. Had to put table together myself. Spent over 8 grand with company and got nothing but excuses ad buck-passing. After awhile, they just refused to talk about it and said, "file a claim."  Packers([EDIT]) also wrote smart comments on un-identified boxes lie, "Guess what this is??" Movers at destination were with United and were shocked at what the pack looked like.    Omg!! So glad I paid 379.00 for insurance! Over $1,500.00 in damages,.    Do not I use them, unless you want a little abuse from a vendor. .

  9. Very Good Service.

I had a very good experience with this company. I bought a house in NJ and needed to move out from my Brooklyn's apartment shortly. Called  them and spoke with Anthony.  He gave me the price  over the phone, since I didn't have time for in-house estimation. Four guys came in the morning, had all necessary packing materials and equipment, very professional and competent. They finished job late afternoon, and honestly speaking, I was surprised that it could be done so fast. The price was well within, that I was expecting. When the guys left, I got a call from Anthony, asking me if I was satisfied with their service. I would,  definitely recommend this company for those , who want to get fast, professional and satisfactory service.

  10. Dishonest company.

Lied about cost and let outsource company change amount and told me to disregard amount by b and b movers because my contract was with continental and that i  must sign the docs anyway to complete tthe move. told me to overestimate the weight so that I would avoid penalty and get reimbursed if my weight come under blown up estimate and then lied, charged me 2000 over agreement with them and blamed the outsourced company. very very upset, and the company flat out lied.charged me for 8300 pounds when I onlyhad 6300,and then claimed that I reserved space not by weight but the driver called me from the weigh station because I wanted to know how much I would owe upon delivery.

  11. Nightmare.

The movers were scheduled to pickup between 8AM - 9AM. They arrived by 1pm. They quoted me 5 hrs of labor after giving an extensive list of all items in the home. They show up in (uniform) baggy cargo shorts and a smelly old company t-shirt. They showed up with two men for a three level 2200 sqft Townhome (should have been a 3 man job, but 2 cost less and requires more hours, so go figure). It took them 6 hours and 30 mins just to load the truck on top of being late by 4 hrs. I was planning on a 3 hour loading so I unloaded the fridge and freezer about an hour after they got there. It sat for rest of the time defrosting and food spoiling for 5.5 hours before we left. Not to mention they treat your furniture and belongings like crap. So they arrive at the unload location by 1AM. Once they got there it was non-stop complaining and they were dropping items left and right off the dollys. They broke my duaghter and son's toy bins (three of them) by dropping them off the dollys. It ended up taking them 5 more hours to unload the truck and didn't even complete the contract. The contract said they would put items in the proper rooms and assemble all the furniture. It took so long I had to tell them to put everything in the garage and don't assemble the furniture, or else this move would have taken alomost 24 hrs. Most items such as dressers and chairs and shelving were all scratched. This also included a few pieces of furniture that were never even used. They were purchased and were meant for the new home. Total move time should have been 10 hours (3 for loading, 5 for driving and 2 for unloading). The total time was 22 hrs. This was the worst service I have ever recieved from a moving company, and I have moved several times in the past five years. I had several broken large picture frames and glass, ALL my furniture was scrathed and dented or dirty from being dragged. They had an entire box of pads and only used 4 of them. I had to help with everything (dissasembling, loading and unloading). I cuaght one worker on his phone several times throughout the move talking to his girlfriend. My wife and kids had to sleep in a hotel that night because it took so long to move. We should have been done by 8PM with at least beds set up. I hope my post is not removed for exaggerated numbers, because these numbers are real. This is the worst moving company ever. I am a very understanding person when it comes to details but these people are nothing like the description. They were everything but personable, uniformed or professional. I sent them and email telling them I want my money back and they have yet to respond. I will update when I have heard different. GUARANTEED PERFECT MOVE MY @$$.
