    Horrible service, horrible experience. Filed a claim over a year ago, no response. were told 6 months ago that they are processing the check then did not respond on repeated requests

  3. BEWARE

    I used dependable movers for a cross country move and the experience was bad from the moment they set foot in my home to begin backing. They talked a good talk on the phone, but that was it. It only got worse when I called to find out when my belongings would be arriving and they didn’t even know where they were. I waited almost a month. When the movers came to deliver they did not wear masks as mandated by the state. Many items were damaged. I submitted a claim which they never responded to. I contacted the Better Business Bureau which they also did not respond to. My move was in JULY! They don’t respond to emails, pick up the phone or return voicemails. They caused over $1000 in damages. Including applying moving tape directly onto my furniture which peeled off the varnish! Beware! Do not use this business!!!

  4. Do Not Use This Company.

    I unfortunately ended up contracting them for my out of state move, and it was a complete and utter disaster. The fact that they call themselves dependable is a true irony. Right off the bat we were lied to about almost everything. We were told that they own their own trucks - they don't; they lease them out which is not ideal. We were told the delivery should take 5-10 days from when it was picked up from our origin - that is not true at all; they don't start counting delivery until when you say you're arriving at your destination, and then it goes for far longer than 5-10 days. We were told that there were multiple pickups happening in our area and thus they had to get to our place a day earlier to load everything - that was not true and our stuff just ended up sitting in a warehouse and us in our apartment with nothing for an extra day. During pickup we were told it wasn't an issue that we ended up being a little over the allotted space, that all we needed to do was pay for that extra footage, which we did - that was not true either, supposedly because of that then they couldn't take our stuff on the truck they had originally planned and it ended up sitting in a hot storage. We were told that the movers would be wearing masks - two of them were, and the main guy who was in my apartment the whole time was not. When we finally got to our new home and it was the timeframe we were expecting to receive our things, I had to call in to ask about the status. I was informed that my things were sitting in a warehouse at our origin destination waiting for someone to take them, but that it should be in a few days. Which brings up another lie - we were told there was a fleet of trucks that go across the country so there wouldn't be a shortage for delivery. There was one truck in question that we had to wait on. So we waited and waited, and still never got notified when our stuff would be coming. I had to reach out again and was told the one driver cancelled, so now we had to wait even longer for someone else to volunteer. And of course, this meant our stuff had been loaded and then unloaded unnecessarily because of this problem. We were told that it would once again only be a few days until the next truck came out - not true, it took almost a week. When we finally got the call that our stuff was coming, we were told that we needed to pay additional to have a shuttle bring everything over as the driver had been to our complex before and a large truck wouldn't fit - another lie to get more money. Since then we have seen multiple large and semi trucks bring other people's things to our same complex no problem. Then when our things were finally delivered to us after being loaded/unloaded half a dozen times, it was a complete mess. Almost every single box was damaged, furniture items were scratched or completely broken, items in boxes labeled fragile were shattered, our wardrobe boxes had been opened and the metal bar removed and then the box crushed down to "make space" - a complete violation of our privacy. It was the most unprofessional job I have ever seen in my life. I filed a claim with the company and sent pictures of everything. AGAIN I had to reach out to confirm they had received everything and was told oh sorry we couldn't open your files - yet no one reached out to me about this, proof that they don't care and were not going to take this seriously. Three months later they have still not gotten back to me about anything even with my check-ins. Regarding customer service, they are a complete joke. Every time you call them they seem more annoyed at the fact that they have to talk to you than cared or concerned about what the problem is. And they NEVER EVER call you to follow up. I constantly had to reach out to them, and then follow up if I was waiting on an answer. If any of these issues were mentioned upfront that would be one thing, but they deliberately left out these details, then don't even care to rectify the situation. This company uses very shady business practices, so please do yourself a favor and don't fall for it.

  5. Do Not Hire This Company, Very Poor Service.

    1°: They try to manipulate the quote, even if you say the measurements of your items, they describe as something similar just to make you quote less expensive. And when comes your moving day, the price is completely different. I had to left items of move behind because of it, it would cost more than $1000 of the previous quote. And DEPENDABLE MOVERS WERE NOT the cheaper company that I had quote.

    2°: Really pay attention when you schedule your delivery date, it is very easy to make “misunderstandings”, especially with this company. The date you tell them you would be available to receive your move is the day that they would start taking your move out from the origin address and take to the destination. I had to way more one month to receive my furniture. When I scheduled the delivery day, I told them that I would need to receive my furniture on January 2snd. Only from that day they start to move my things from Chicago to Las Vegas. It took 30 days to receive my move.

    4°: The worse day “THE DELIVERY DAY”, on the contract the company says that all furniture would be reassemble….

    Well, on the delivery day, was only the driver there, he unloaded the truck by himself and he was very rude, in the beginning I felt intimidated because, he arrived and right away asked for the payment(in cash) he forced me to pay him before start unloading the truck. I asked him several times why he was alone to reassemble all the furniture, and he says (several times) 2 more people are coming to reassemble. He was very rude all the time, in a very bad mood, he threw my things on the floor without any care at all. Every time I asked him about the reassemble, he kept saying (in a very bad mood) that 2 more people would arrive soon, and NOBODY SHOWED UP AND MY FURNITURE WAS NOT REASSEMBLE.

    5° Since last January I applied for a Claim and they never respond. They broke some of my furniture, they did not reassemble on the delivery day, they don’t respond claims and they lie all the time by phone.

    I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE LIERS.

  6. Dependable Movers = Extortion.

    My intent was to write about our move experience and when I sat down to gather my thoughts for this review, it is actually a recounting of an extortion scheme that has turned into a business model lead by Matthew K Pardi (Kevin) and his associates.

    Step 1: Give a reasonable quote and great customer service. That's the hook. Good job Samantha!

    Step 2: Revise the move estimate the day of packing after your goods are loaded. What choice do the clients have?

    Step 3: Poor or no communication on delivery. We had to call customer service daily and received one excuse after another. Please note, pack and pick-up was on 7/26 for a 1-3 business day delivery window per their customer service representative. Final delivery after Step 4 & 5, happened on 8/17. 15 days later.

    Step 4: When the customer is stressed, frustrated and just wants the whole experience to be over, go in for the final squeeze.

    In our case we were charged a re-delivery fee because we were advised at 3PM on Friday that we could get delivery on Saturday and that payment could only be by Zelle, wire transfer, cash (or course) or Post Office money order. The balance was + $3000 which is over the daily limit for 3rd party payment, wire transfers are not executed on Saturday and what Post Office (on Saturday) will issue a $3000 money order.

    BONUS : charge the customer a $800 re-delivery fee and

    Out of kindness, offer to unload some of the items off the truck for a $2500. No thank you.

    Step 5: As the final point of contact, have the delivery drivers

    Complain about the low pay and long hours. Deliver and inflict additional damage to the clients goods and ding the walls and paint in their home on the way in and out. Leave as much trash as possible; packing blankets, random screws, empty tape rolls, plastic tarps and wrap.

    Step 6: Repeat.

    I wish I would have read the reviews prior to calling Dependable Movers, MMG Moving LLC. Shame on me. Could have saved my family and (my company) at lot of stress and money.

    I hope that my review/ sharing of this extortion plan will help save others stress and money and that karma and a conscience will dissolve this business.

  7. Don't do It! They Lie!

    I will tell you, I am the first to write a positive review. As a business owner I never write negative reviews as I know how they can impact a business but this experience was so traumatizing I have to prevent anyone else from going through what I have. I had to deal with this move on my own due to my husband relocating prior to me for business. At the beginning the communication was great with the rep Samantha (she's a hustler). Once the deposit was made it became crickets working with them. Once we secured the move date we find out my husband has stage 3 cancer and has to start chemo/radiation so I was REALLY on my own now orchestrating the entire move. I was repeatedly assured it would be an easy transaction. The result was everything promised, DID NOT happen.

    - First of all I paid more than double when it was ALL said and done. Samantha gave me a song and dance about how people make the inventory mistakes that's why the negative reviews that ALL say they paid A LOT more than quoted. I am telling you right now, its a hustle! THEY LIE!

    - I was NOT made aware that this entire process would be dealing with non-company employees and all outsourced which resulted in delays and lack of care for my belongings and my brand new home.

    - I paid extra for crating for motorcycle, safe and curio cabinet which did NOT happen. 2 of the 3 arrived damaged. The safe arrived with large paint chips and a dent. My curio cabinet, all the glass shelves arrived shattered.

    -When I had to call several times during move Jeremy was extremely rude and has the worst customer service. He can't be bothered.

    - They lost all the bolts to my bed so now its in 50pcs and I don't have my bed assembled.

    - The larger heavy boxes marked as office or attic (upstairs) were dumped in the middle of my family room so now I can't move them. Smelly garage boxes were dumped in my master closet. Of course heavy so I can't move them.

    - The movers dinged the walls and scratched my hard wood floors everywhere in my brand new house.

    - My refrigerator arrived with a large dent on the door, my freezer arrived with a large dent on the door. I can't even begin to list off everything that arrived damaged.

    - All my belongings had to be stored for one month until our escrow closed and I have no idea where it was stored because everything smells extremely FOUL!

  8. Do Not Use This Company.

    I moved from Virginia to California, and in order to be reimbursed by my job for this move I needed the weight of my belongings and payment amounts in a final contract. I confirmed before booking with this company that this information could be provided.  My belongings were delivered in July 2019, completely damaged. Boxes marked fragile were bent and busted open, items were missing, furniture was scratched and dented to the point of being non usable. The delivery men also attempted to give me someone else's furniture. I submitted my claim for damaged goods reimbursement in August, 2019. I started calling the company on a weekly basis trying to obtain the contract with the weights and payment information in order to be reimbursed by my company, and was told multiple times that it would be "sent right over". I spoke with Delilah, Benjamin, Marcus and numerous other individuals. Now, almost a year later I am told that the contract is the agents property and they do not need to provide that to me and that since so much time has passed they probably do not have it. (obviously no time was spent looking for the contract) In regards to my reimbursement, a check was sent to the wrong address in April and I was told that it had been cashed and they would not be writing me a new one. I asked for documentation to take to the police for an identity fraud/mail fraud issue and have not received a call back or an email with the necessary information. Terrible customer service and operations don't seem to be above board.

  9. Stop! do Not Use This Company!!

    I was given an estimate of $3900+ by the representative from this company 2 months prior to my move date only for the drivers to come on the morning of the last available date( backstory: I told them my move date was June 18 or 19 but my preference was 19 and they agreed only for them to cancel on 18, 19 and then came on the 20th) to tell us that we were given a wrong estimate and that our move was going to cost $5500, we were stranded and did not have a choice but to agree because our window to move was already closed; we had to leave the house on the 21st. We were told during the booking that delivery was a 1-3day period so we indicated that 22nd was our first available date for delivery only for us to be told our items are at their warehouse in Indiana waiting for a driver!! This is day 10 and we are still waiting on an imaginary driver and the case will be reviewed in another 4days.

    I did not ask for my items to be stored, I asked for them to be moved! Worst part is that they don't even update us , we have to call them everyday to get any information.

    Please save yourself and your family the heartache, my young kids have been sleeping on the bare floor for 10 days and I was told they still don't have a driver!! This is a very bad company!!

    Update:

    In the initial quote that I got, I noted that I had 2 freezers, and I told the Sales Rep it was just in case I did not sell one of them. Luckily I got one sold. So, as my move neared I informed them I had only one left.

    Also, informed them I was now going to add a washer and a dryer and the guy updated the quote and told us what our additional charge was going to be. Stating that I had additional 22 items that was not initially revealed was a BIG LIE.

    What about bumping us from our originally scheduled date of 18th to 19th and then to 20th June delaying our move out of town by 2 days. To rub salt on injury, they inflated the price at pickup.
    What about their rude driver that was threatening to inflate our price further after packing because he was not okay with the tip we offered?

    It is also a LIE that they were in constant communication. I asked the rep that I spoke with if it I could contact him regarding anything with my move and he said yes so, I was initially going through him to get to the other department because they never reached out after they got their $1346 deposit payment and never returned any calls. When it was close to the move date that I did not hear anything from them, I called the office, I called Andrew (Sales Rep) there was no response from either of them and no response from Andrew ever again.

    Don't even get me started on the LIES that their Rep tell when they are trying to get you to do business with them; We were told our items were going to be delivered in 1-3days only for them to tell us after the expiration of the 3-day window that they have 30 business days to deliver. By the way there was no initiation of communication from their side, we had to always call and they will only pick up after several attempts. Sometimes upwards of 17 attempts and they never call back even when they promise to. Customer service was adept at coming up with dishonest inconsistent excuses every time.

    I eventually had to find my way to their warehouse in Indiana to get my things since it was obvious they did not have any plans to deliver our items any time soon.

    For no job done (having had to go pick up our items ourselves at their Indiana warehouse), they still have our $3346.

    This company is just FRAUDULENT, they are LIARS devoid of any decency, customer service, humanity. They only care about getting money and not actually delivering the service that you paid for. They draw you in on false assurances, reasonable cost and then slam you with an exaggerated charge at pickup when you have no further recourse than to oblige. Then, they hold your items hostage for 30 business days as though you were looking for storage.

    And they have the guts to falsely claim I didn't fully disclose my items or they assisted in a pandemic?? After overcharging me at the last possible minute of my move(which they delayed for 2 days) and then insisting I pay for the protective blankets around my fragile items when I drove a truck to pick up myself in Indiana. They didn't care the trouble they have put me through (delayed delivery, sleeping on bare floor with young kids, driving 6 hours to and fro to their warehouse etc), they told me the OWNER insisted I pay for the blankets- $10 each for 35 pieces total of $350. It goes right to the top, the owner and the entire business is greedy, non empathetic and not customer-driven.

    To the public, DO NOT TRUST THIS company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them. They will try to extort you at every step and keep you waiting forever for your things! A company name hasn't been more MISLEADING and IRONIC.

    To dependable movers: Attached are screenshots of my initial and final inventory. The initial had 2 freezers listed while the final had just 1 freezer, a washer, drier and an additional queen mattress. I was very open with you yet your response tries to spin I was not. Your documented inventory shows a freezer and others. No surprises! Get your facts straight LIARS.”.

  10. Long Distance Move from Texas to Tennessee.

    We used dependable movers to move us from Texas to Tennessee. We also had them store our furniture for a few months. The majority of our large furniture showed up so damaged that it is unusable. One of our pelotons is no longer usable. Our King mattress had the cover ripped off and was set in some sort of oil that soaked through both sides. Our freezer has dents all over it. Our coffee table has a leg broken off of it. My daughter's dresser had the leg broken off. There are gashes in the wood in both the headboard and footboard in two sets of bedroom furniture. Our new washing machine has dents in it. A good portion of our boxes were in poor condition upon arrival and the contents damaged. A mattress was brought in that was not ours and they had to put back on the truck. How it got in with our belongings is unknown. Our daughters motorized polaris is missing its hood. An expensive office chair has a gash in the leather and a wheel broken off. The list goes on. We cannot fathom how our belongings were so damaged. It is apparent that our items were handled with a complete lack of care. We paid over thirteen thousand dollars to dependable movers to have our belongings stored and moved and the care and professionalism they showed was unbelievably disappointing. Much of our furniture was either new or had been purchased within the last few years. Much of it will now have to be replaced due to the destruction. We have let the company know that we are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would never recommend this company nor would we ever use them again.

    I was in tears once I saw the status of our belongings upon delivery.

    Dependable Movers is exactly what the moving company says it is they are dependable. This is the busiest time of year for all the moving companies still reserving our date was a priority since we had no leeway in terms of our move out date. We reserved our dates and were able to adjust her inventory as we grew closer to our move day. The most important part about doing that is that we locked in our rates send a matter what the rate was two months from the time we reserved we are still locked in at a much cheaper rate. It was a very stressful time moving this is an excruciating process but with their help it was moving made simple and for that we are very thankful. We could not have done it without you and your team and I hope you have a great summer.

    My mother in-law recently wanted to move and we needed a affordable, reliable, honest moving service. After much looking around, everywhere we were referred to Accurate Express. We, to say the least were extremely happy with their professionalism, respectful nature, and honesty. The prices were lower than the quote which was wonderful especially for what is going on in the world right now and because she is extremely frugal. She was so happy that we didn’t have to do it being our schedule was so busy and she felt very comfortable being around the employees by herself. Her furniture and basically whole house came on time and they kept her and us updated the whole time. They saved us time and made her happy. Thank you again so much and God Bless.     Dependable moving has the perfect name for what they do and who they are. I was very nervous to even find a moving company. All the quotes I was bombarded with freaked me out being that they were so much money. Dependable called me in the midst of all the other companies and had the lowest price and beat all of them With the respectful speaking and guiding me through this moving that I never wanted to do anyway. I needed a company who would be honest, dependable, and knowledgeable about what I exactly needed. They blew the competition away. I immediately hired them after speaking to quite a few other businesses. They were professional and kind to me. They kept me updated and respected the covid guidelines. That right there was seriously important to my family and I. My husband is not good talking to people at all but he really liked them and will for sure us them again if we do need a moving company. You’ve saved us so much trouble and time and we are so appreciative. Total 5 star company and 5 star people.

    We have never use the full service moving company before so naturally we were very nervous and had no idea where to begin. Just like every other person in the first thought we had was to go online to request calls from various companies that ran the route. In less than a minute from pressing enter the call started to come. The first company that called us was Dependable Movers and after researching then we found out that they were very credible New Jersey based company. We told him everything that we were moving and they can price everything into an organized and detailed list. We were able to see everything in front of us room by room and see exactly where we can cut costs and what was simply not worth moving. It was a great experience working with them and we highly recommend them to anybody who’s looking for a moving company that will do what they say and get the job done right. Thank you for keeping her home safe and doing business as it should be done.

  15. All around great job.

    We went out looking for a moving company and we didn’t have many requirements to meet. We wanted an actual moving company that would show up on the day that they were told and schedule to and not overcharge us once the furniture made its way onto the truck. Just watching them work made me realize how seriously they take their job. Did you not ration wrapping any of the furniture or packing up boxes. They pack the truck and tie things down so nothing would fall and crash another item you can tell that they have been doing this for many years. Once they were on the road I was given the drivers number and I was able to stay in contact with him throughout the move as well as my sales associate inside the office. There was no foul play or gray areas just professional business as it should be.They were also willing to do a stop off at a storage unit free of charge due to its location to my Destiination delivery. I know things are busy this time of year for all movers on top of a pandemic and you guys came through and did not disappoint fantastic job all around.
