1. No longer in business.

   Avalon Mobility, Inc. dba as Desert Sun Moving Services and other dba's filed Chapter 13 Bankruptcy on January 18, 2018. During a hearing on June 14, 2018 they decided to change to Chapter 7 (liquidation) and were court ordered to vacate by June 28, 2018 their Phoenix and Tucson facilities. Our move was a nightmare. On January 14, 2918 they got locked out of their Tucson facility for lack of payment. On January 18, 2018 was the first day of our move and the day they filed Chapter 11, bankruptcy. The move was suppose to be 100% insured with zero deductible and everybody was suppose to be bonded. Court records do not show they bought any special insurance but did show they were self insured. They refused to send us claim forms. We submitted the claims anyways. They never honored the claims. I went to their facility to talk to them about it and was informed "this conversation is over with"! Our lost were huge. Items were broken and a large amount of items were stolen. Being they had been locked out of their Tucson facility for failure to pay their rent, they also could not meet their payroll. This all happen during the time of our move. Our loses are over $128,000!

2. Questionable mover.

   This company operates on numerous names such as Desert Sun Moving Services Inc., Desert Sun Moving, Desert Sun Moving Service, etc. Their real name is Avalon Mobility, Inc. Avalon Mobility, Inc. filed bankruptcy on January 18, 2018.
   The value of our move was $750,000. Items were lost and items were broken. The first day of our move was January 18, 2018. Today's date is February 21, 2018 and we still have not received any forms to file claims even though we have sent 2 certified letters.

3. I had a terrible experience.

   The sales person makes tons of promises that she cannot deliver on. Told me she would be able to give me the day when the movers would come for my belongings in a few days, it ended up taking two weeks to get this date. Guys who showed up were good, I will give them that. But, then days after they took my belongings, I receive a call stating that I was going to be charged for about two hours of labor to repack some of my boxes. Sales person even stated that it was the fault of the guys who picked my stuff up. And this need for repacking of course happens when they all ready have my stuff. Somehow, two hours got billed at six hours. When I later questioned this, I was given a rather vague answer that this is what the driver billed. When my things arrived, the driver states that he could not fit the truck into my complex and it was going to cost me an additional $300 for them to rent a smaller truck and reload my stuff. Again, another added charge that you get before you even get your stuff. Guys who came back with my stuff were good, bit not employees of Deaert Sun or Wheaton. But then, while guys were here working and putting things together, a guy from Wheaton shows up, just walked right into my home, and starts telling the guys that they need to finish up. They only reason I knew he was from Wheaton was because he was wearing a Wheaton shirt. He only bothered to introduce himself after he could tell I was irritated with him just walking into my house. I'm not kidding about the walking right in, he did not knock or anything. I have twice asked to speak with the general manager and have yet to get a call. My couch is broken, and some of the boxes that they had to repack have broken items as well. I would not recommend this service to anyone.

4. Desert Sun Moving Services.

   Everything was explained in detail and the move went perfectly. I even ended up paying less than my estimate indicated. I recommend them highly.
