  1. Frauds.

They stole 500 dallors from me and my family by booking a dirty move and told us after we left state that we don't get it back because we signed a contract.

  2. Horrible.

Divine Moving Group and Direct Van Lines,

. This letter will provide details for the following complaints. Contract Date Change, Lack of Professionalism, Damages, and Embarrassment.

According to the Agreement, Pickup date was scheduled for 10-30-2017 / 10-31-2017. On the Morning of 10-23-2017, I Received a phone call from Direct Van Lines, (347)356-3135 informing me that I had a pick up scheduled for that date. After explaining to them that the pickup date was not until the following Monday or Tuesday, they insisted on picking up our items that Wednesday. After this phone conversation, I contacted Divine Moving Group. After several hours had gone by, Direct Van Lines informed me that I did not have any other options and that the movers were now scheduled to pick up our household items on Wednesday October 25. Divine Moving Group informed me that the movers would pack any items that I had not been able to pack. They would also pack up my Televisions at no additional cost.

The Morning of October 25, the movers, with Direct Van Lines, arrived to load my items. I did a walk through with the man and showed them the items that needed to load into the truck. I asked them about the televisions and was informed that this would be an additional fee. Instead of dealing with the miscommunication, I packed the televisions. No paperwork was gone through or signed at this time. After Direct Van Lines loaded the items, they left my house to find a weight station. Still, no paperwork had been gone through or signed. When the movers were on their way back to my house, they called and informed me that the bill would be an additional $1500.00. After hearing this, I called Divine Moving Group who informed me that paperwork should have already been completed before the movers left my house and that I was not to sign anything without getting the price cleared up. After about 45 minutes, Divine Moving Group called me and informed me that the original quote was going to be upheld. In addition, that there would not be an additional charge. When I returned to my house, it was getting dark. I was asked to sign for my cash payment.

A delivery date had not yet been established at the time of pickup. On Thursday, October 26, I attempted to call the movers to give them the delivery address and time. Since no one answered, I sent them a text message with the Delivery date of November 1 and a location of 21 Mangum Circle, #8, Donnelly ID. I did not hear back from Direct Van Lines until 12:50 AM on the morning of October 30. They wanted to inform me that delivery was scheduled for that same day. I contacted Direct Van Lines as well as Divine Moving Group and let them know that we would not be able to accept delivery until November 1. On the Morning of November 1, 2017, many attempts were made to contact Direct Van Lines to determine a delivery time. After Divine Moving Group finally got ahold of them, we were told that delivery would take place around 3:00pm. Around 3:00, my husband saw the moving truck pull onto the road where the delivery was to take place. The delivery drivers had been pulled over by the Highway Patrol for speeding. Upon investigation, the Highway Patrol discovered that the drivers had not been using their logbooks. After about 45 Minutes, the deliverymen were finally able to unload our household items.

When given the estimate, we were assured that the deliverymen would disassemble our furniture, reassemble it in our new home, and move our boxes in as well. The deliverymen unloaded all boxes in the garage and did not move any of them into the house. They did assemble the bed, but did not put all of the pieces together. They were in a very big hurry. On top of not delivering the items as promised, some of the items were damaged. Below is a list of the damaged items as well as photographs. After our items were delivered, Brandon had to call the sheriff’s department to escort the movers off our driveway, as they were parked part way in the road. Since, the Highway Patrol had told them that they could not move the truck from our driveway, this was the only option. The Sheriff’s Department stayed at our house for about 40 Minutes. The entire time, neighbors were watching, as both the Highway Patrol and Sheriff’s Department were on location for our delivery. We have never experienced such humiliation.

As this letter shows, we are very disappointed in the service that both Divine Moving Group and Direct Van Lines have rendered. We expect compensation for our damaged items as well as a fee deduction for lack of professionalism, forced date change, and embarrassment. This matter should require your full attention.

  3. Long distance move.

Moving across the country from Utah to Florida was one of the most stressful things I have ever had to do! I knew I was going to need with this. I found Divine Moving Group online and gave them a call expecting an outrageous price to move my 3 bedroom home but was pleasantly suprised that they were able to get me with in my price rage. One of my biggest fear was that the price was going to go up once it came time to actually move but because of the accurate inventory done I paid exactly what they estimated me at and was very happy! The whole team from the representatives to the customer service team was very helpful and eased my stress level! I just want to thank your team for everything!

  4. Never showed up. Never Called. Said they forgot.

Olivia the sales woman I spoke to was super reassuring and kind. She went over everything with me and was very on top of it. She said they would be there between 10-12 on Saturday. Come Saturday at 12:15 no one shows up and no one calls. I call and am told someone will call me back in 10. I call back 20 minutes later and still nothing. It’s 12:40 and Kailey calls. Says she can’t get in touch with the dispatcher. (Apparently they aren’t the moving company, they are only a broker for other companies). She then continued on to say that in the contract they have a 48 hour window to be at out location after the specified time. 48 hours. No one told us about this. Finally she gets in contact with Ruby and he said he can’t be there until noon on Sunday. He said they were caught up in the fires in California. Olivia told me they had a truck 45 mins away that they needed to move that was ready to go and sitting and waiting. I asked Ruby when he knew that they couldn’t make it through the fires. He said Friday at 6 pm. I asked him why he didn’t call and tell us since he knew he would be late. He said he forgot. And that was that. No follow up from Divine Company. No follow up from Ruby and no. one. showed. Terrible company. AMAZING at sales. Zero customer service. Acts as it they did nothing wrong. Never once apologized. Run away as fast as you can.

In response to the owner - I want the deposit back. The fact that you weren't in communication with the mover DAYS before is irresponsible. Also the fact that you said a truck was 45 minutes away, waiting to be moved. Was a lie. The fact that in the contract you say you have 48 hours after the 2 hour window to show and you don't go over that in the call? Unethical. I demand the deposit back. For the lies and lack of responsibility and ethics from your company.

  5. Lies!! Scam!! They Bait And Switch And Keep Your Deposit!

I moved from PA to VA on July 9th. My closing on my new home in VA was Monday, July 10th, so I could not move later than the 9th. Divine Moving Group assured me that they were a 5-star company and would send a 53-ft truck on July 9th, and charge me 50% of cost because they had an empty truck returning to Virginia from a town near me, and they did not want to send it back empty. Rickey Paige, dispatcher, begged me to use them, and his supervisor, Christopher, quoted me a price that I could not refuse. Two days before the move I received a call from a moving company in New York that had been subcontracted to move me in a 26-ft truck on Monday, July 10th. Impossible! All my goods would not fit and I needed to be in VA on the 10th, not PA. I called their 24-hour customer hotline, and received voice mail full. When I called Rickey and emailed him directly, I received no answer. Christopher was out of the office. When I threatened to cancel, I finally got a reply from Mackenzie in customer service who said according to my contract, they had the right to subcontract and change the date within 3 days of the scheduled move. When I told her that I had been promised a 53 ft truck, she said that was not documented. When I called and canceled the move, I received an email saying that my $800 deposit was nonrefundable! No truck arrived! No refund was made! They lie and make promises, but the contract is binding and they will charge you extra for anything over the estimated cubic footage or poundage. VERY UNETHICAL COMPANY!!
Finally, I contacted UHaul and we used 2 26ft trucks, a pickup truck, a van, and a trailer to move my household. One 53ft truck would have been fine, if they had kept their end of the bargain, but they will tell you anything to get you to sign the contract, then they will keep your deposit.

  6. Moving from Co. to NV.

The people I talked with were honest and professional and they even had a great sense of humor.
I appreciated that there communications were great, they called and made sure I was ready, and they called there people and made sure times were set and that I knew what was going to happen and when. There estimates were right on and I went over everything we moved with the movers with no hassles.
Samantha, Cali, Brandon, and the others, Thank you for all you help and kindness.

  7. Great Price.

After reviewing prices for my mom and sister move to chicago I discover that this company had the best price. I kept in touch with the rep about 30 days before the move, I emailed them a list of the items and I received this price. The service was great and arrived on time. Loaded and unloaded the house hold items orderly fashion. Highly recommended.

  8. Best Experience by Far!

This was the best Moving experience I have had yet in the 12 moves I have done in this country. I will be going with them again. Consistent, efficient and care about their customers.

  9. Divine Moving Group (386-968-1921).

    SCAM ALERT, THEY ARE BROKERS!!
I was contacted by Rickey Page of Divine Moving who said he was the dispatch manager and that he had an empty truck in NJ and was looking for a load back to TN the weekend of my move. After doing some research on their company I called him back and asked about all the poor reviews I saw. He said they were Divine Moving in NY not Florida which has bad reviews. He said this happens all the time and they are not associated with the company in Daytona Beach. I then gave him the detailed contents of my storage unit in NJ and was given an estimate of $2965, he said it was discounted by 66.05% or 2.49 per cf. I e-sinned the contract and provided him a $500 deposit, a few days before the move date I received a call from Divine to have a cashier’s check payable to Prestige Van Lines. I questioned this and was told they were the shuttle company since my storage facility couldn't accommodate a semi.
I had traveled from TN to NJ for the move and was met by Prestige who immediately started to load their truck. About an hour into the move I was told they cannot do the move for the amount Divine quoted and told me the new price was $4941. I immediately called Divine and was told they would look into this and call me back. A few minutes I was called by a supervisor at Prestige who told said Divine does this all the time; they under bid a job just to get the $500 commission. And they would stop the move and put everything back into my unit. I had already given up my storage unit effective the following weekend and had no choice by to proceed with the move and pay the inflated amount.
I was told by Prestige who did my move that Divine was located in Daytona Beach and that they would stop working with that company. Personally I believe Prestige Van Lines were in on the scam otherwise I would have been told before the move started the true cost of the move.
The number for Divine Moving Group is 386-968-1921, so you don’t fall for the SCAM as well.

  10. Avoid at All Cost.

Divine Moving Group will call you repeatedly in attempts to get a down payment. Soon as the payment is made, communication with the SCAM company will cease. I have recordings from the company in which 2 different employees admitted to having UNETHICAL business practices, while still refusing to refund a deposit!! This matter has been forced to small claims court. CUSTOMER BEWARE,YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

  11. Great experience.

Divine moving group was an absolute pleasure to work with! Cory Raven was extremely knowledgeable on the services and was very helpful, answering every question and concern that I had. They weren't the cheapest quote I got, but very reasonable considering the service they provided. And the quote I got was actually the price I ended up paying in the end, unlike my past experiences with other companies. The movers worked very quickly and carefully, and got my stuff from California to Florida in only 5 days. I highly recommend divine and I will definitely be using them again if I have to move in the future!

  12. Divine moving group.

Divine moving group was easy to deal with. I wasn't too flexible on my move date but they handled my move quite efficiently. After seeking moving company after moving company I thought I'd check into a company to handle everything for me. DMG took an inventory and beat the price of any estimate I got when I was researching. I will be using them again in 2 years when I move for business!

  13. Avoid at all costs.

I (stupidly) paid a $700 deposit upfront. I was promised a 24-hour moving consultant. After the period for refund of deposit had elapsed (5 days) it was extremely difficult to get hold of anyone at the office. Phone calls and emails went unanswered. Communication in general was terrible.

The 5-star reviews which had given me a false sense of security are, having dealt with them, completely implausible and likely to be fake.

I eventually had to cancel and they refused to refund any of my deposit even though I gave almost 2 weeks notice. Compared to other moving companies their refund policy is inflexible and unfair. Avoid at all costs.

  14. Moving.

They helped me from beginning to the very end. I was very happy with their services. Their window of conception was accurate and the drivers were very polite. prices were very reasonable compared to other companies.. Everything that was quoted was included. I highly recommend them. Thank you for making my moving experience less stressful.

  15. Avoid these scammers!

BEWARE OF DIVINE MOVING GROUP. Their 5-star reviews are FAKE.

Let me give you a brief rundown of how moving scams work. I wish I had known this before I booked my move. Divine Moving Group is just a broker. They have no trucks -- they simply act as the middle man and book another (generally disreputable) moving company for you. You may not even know who they booked with until they arrive, giving you no time to research the company. Your "deposit" is actually the broker's fee.

If you're lucky, a moving truck will actually show up. After the truck is loaded, the moving company will tell you that you owe much more than your quoted price. At this point, you're at your most vulnerable and stressed. Your stuff is already on the truck, and they expect you to just agree to get it over with. Oh, you have a binding price with the broker, do you? Well, read the fine print. They are not responsible for extra fees charged by their contractors. The broker points their finger at the moving company, and the moving company points their finger at the broker, and neither one wants to help you.

Remember that deposit that you thought was being applied towards your move? Well, it's not, since it's just a broker's fee. Subtract that from your total and you'll realize how suspiciously low the price is.

And don't even get me started on the headache it will be to actually have your stuff delivered. Moving scams are known to hold people's possessions hostage until they agree to exorbitantly high prices. You don't want to find yourself in that position.

protectyourmove.gov is a good resource to search for your mover and see how many complaints they've had in the past few years (spoiler alert, Divine Moving Group has had many!). movingscam.com is another great website to educate you about fraudulent movers.

I'm so thankful that I realized what a scam this was. I cancelled my move with Divine Moving Group (the broker) and Quality Moving Services LLC (the moving company they hired) before they were able to scam me further. I may have lost my deposit (which they require you to make via e-check, so it can't be disputed, by the way) but it could have been much worse. Please let this serve as a warning to you. Do not use moving brokers, nearly all of them are scam artists. There is no need for a middle man; please book with the moving company yourself.

Here are just a few of the red flags that Divine Moving Group exhibited:
    - Fake 5 star reviews on yelp. Click on those Yelper's names and see that they've reviewed other moving companies with the exact same wording. Also, a ton of those reviews were all posted on the same date in a batch, which is a telltale sign of fake reviews.
    - They were very responsive and professional until they got my deposit. Suddenly, they stopped answering phone calls or contacting me when they promised. Just the fact that I paid a deposit was a red flag - most reputable companies do not require this.
    - While charging by cubic feet is not necessarily illegal, it's a very sketchy practice, since it's hard to verify. Weight can be verified at a weigh station, but you pretty much have to take their word on cubic feet (even if they have tick marks inside the truck, the way it's loaded can make a huge difference).
    - They waffled back and forth about whether I'd have to pay a $250 shuttle fee or not, and never gave a clear answer.
    - Quality Moving Services LLC does not exist at the address given.
    - And the final, glaring red flag was this: Quality Moving Services LLC told me that they would deliver my things the same day, if I paid in CASH.

Please, avoid this nightmare of a company.
