  1. Horrible Company.

They are spam artists. When they have your cell phone number, they send you incessant texts over and over again. They should be fined for continuing to send text over and over again. In what world it is OK. If I were to use a moving company, Dr move would be the very farthest from my mind. Get a life and leave my life alone. Text every few minutes. Over and over and over again. What is up with them. At 11:00 at night, at 7:00 in the morning. Auto texting. It should be illegal.

  2. **nightmare**.

Worse Moving company EVER!! These movers are the complete opposite of what they advertise and I deeply regret that I even called them. There's not one room in my new house that doesn't have a piece of furniture damaged, thanks to these guys. My T.V was busted on the side and now its just a black screen with a buzzing noise that comes from it; the back of the washer where the mover let it slip coming down the ramp: dressers not just scratched but more like scrapes off the top, sides and back as well as parts of the trimming broken off. Headboards had a pretty nice size scratch on it too. I now have more work to do than I did before I hired these guys. DR. MOVE is NOT I repeat NOT the hands you want to put your valuables/possessions in. Its clear that DR. MOVE and their movers could give two [EDIT] about your life and anything or anyone in it!! (You definitely need a doctor after using them) **BEWARE**.

  3. Horrific Move.

Do not use this company!! My quote was 179 for 2 hours, arrival for my move was 8-10am. The nightmare started when they arrived at 1015 (late) ! Their were 2 Hispanic guys and a lady name Charlotte that arrived. They had a trailer attached to a personal vehicle. Only one of these guys spoke English. Charlotte was there only to handle paperwork and over see the move I guess but didn't do anything to help with my concerns. They didn't have any supplies for my furniture no plastic wrap or bubble wrap I told them they would scratch my furniture if they didn't wrap it. I called to complain before they started to move my things. Barbara answers I ask for the manager Edwin she stated she would have him call me back she was very unconcerned with what I was saying all she wanted was to verify my card info. They took 179 out of my acct before they started or completed their move. Edwin call back I told him I was not satisfied with the movers showing up with no supplies he says they don't need plastic or bubble wrap for furniture because they use blankets and rubber bands to hold the blankets on furniture. They went ahead and started moving my things not one time did they wrap my furniture or cover with the blankets. I had to be out of my place that day so I didn't have anytime to find another company that day. My furniture was scratched up and my sofa was torn!! They said sorry ma'am we did our best. I was so angry I was crying my nose started to bleed and all Charlotte could say was she apologize. Instead of Edwin calling me back he text back and forth with Charlotte and she was relaying his messages to me. (Unprofessional) they took 3 hours for the move I didn't have much so it should have been just 2 hours for everything. I was told to file a claim on their website for the things they ruined. I wanted my money back but so far nothing I took pictures of my damaged furniture and I'm filing a complaint with BBB!! I will take it to court if they do not cover the damages! Edwin is a non Chalant [EDIT]! No concern of how his customers feel or anything. All they wanted was my money nothing else mattered! Do not use this company please take this complaint serious and as a warning! ! This was the worst moving experience in my life!!

  4. Buyer Beware!

BUYER BEWARE. Dr. Move..specifically Irving TX..Did not show up on moving day despite my credit card pre-payment booked weeks out. When I was finally able to reach a representative after 3 hours they told me a truck was on the way but no one ever showed. After many weeks I managed to have my credit card company reverse the fraudulent charge. Not even so much as an apology from these guys.

  5. Rip Off.

I purchased a special coupon for $99 for 2 hours of moving. Total quote price emailed to me $135, regular quote would of been $404..I was told by Edwin that they would honor the special rate. Not so. The quote says no fees, not so. When they arrived, I had to sign a different contract with a different amount BEFORE they would load my items. Then the mover called Edwin to give an Estimated quote time to which DR. Move immediately withdrew from my bank account. This amount was $100 more than the second contract amount. The move took less time but Dr. Move NEVER credited the extra Monies back to my account.
The service itself was shoddy at best. One mover was pleasant, neither was professional and the bottom of my refrigerator was scattered across the drive. One mover fussed a lot as if he did not want to move anything, and the moving truck was a trailer hooked to a personal vehicle. When I told Dr. Move about the skill set of the movers, the young lady's(Stephanie) response was, "I'm sorry. They're new" Thanks Dr. Move: for giving me 3 different prices and charging a fourth amount without even letting me know; for sending inexperienced personnel to handle my hard worked for and hard earned furniture; for being dishonest in your quotes and bank practices, and for failing to return the bank drafted monies for the unused time. You should be sued.

  6. Worst moving experience I've had!

We moved in Feb 2014 from a 2nd floor to a 3rd floor. They said they wrap all your furniture which is untrue, unless my movers were just lazy. Every piece of furniture they moved was damaged (scratches, chunks of wood missing, broken leg on entertainment ctr). They could not remember how they took things apart to put them back. Beds & crib were not reassembled correctly. It was raining the day of move. I called to confirm the move was still on and they said yes because the furniture it completely wrapped which was untrue. My entertainment center was left out in the rain while other items were moved with the top exposed. They ran out of cloths to wrap the furniture and attempted to move my brand new wood/marble table with no protection. I had to give them my own personal quilt to wrap the table which was then damaged. Through the move they took their time. After several hrs the movers said that they have gone over the hourly rate and that I would need to pay the rest cash. When they discovered I had paid the flat rate, they became irate and wasted time calling the office to argue with the staff during my move. They then rushed the end of the move throwing things about. Would've been better moving the furniture on our own. Very sad at the condition of all of our belongings.

  7. No call. No show.

Waited over an hour after the scheduled time, trying to contact someone at their offices, before moving on to plan B. When they finally called 4 hours later we had already rented a truck and enlisted all the help we would find, to do the move ourselves. They acted as if nothing was wrong, and expected us to still be waiting on them. The only explanation I got on Monday morning was that someone had called in and the office isn't open on weekends. What kind of moving company can't be reached on weekends? They are still in the process of handling my refund. We are still in the process of recovering from their incompetence. .

  8. Wish they could be rated less than 1 star.

If I could rate them lower than 1 star, believe me, I would. The movers were highly unprofessional and had my husband and I taking things apart. If something wasn't in a box, it was THROWN on the floor. There was also a lady that sat in the front yard the entire time the two men were "working' which was odd and awkward. She never did anything except get in the cab of the truck when they left and upon arrival at our new home, she sat in the front yard, again. The movers never reinstalled the hardware for our $6,000 bed and installed the support beams upside down. Because we were so busy HELPING them move items because they SCRATCHED UP OUR BRAND NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS, we didn't notice the problem with the bed until we laid down that night. They also refused to move items upstairs that weighed anything more than an office chair! They were hitting walls in our new home, scratching the new wood floor and just dropping boxes on the floor, even ones marked fragile. Several attempts have been made to reach the office in search of the hardware (lock nuts that cannot be replaced) and they have continually ignored me AS WELL AS THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREU!! DO NOT USE THEM without understanding you are at great risk and will spend much more money on repairs than you would spend on a moving company WITH INTEGRITY.

  9. Worst Move Ever!!

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST MOVING COMPANY and I WILL NEVER USE them AGAIN.. Our move was scheduled for January 4th, 2014..Please be ware of this moving company the office Manager is very unprofessional.  We sold our home and were moving out using the Smart Move program and it was to be paid for by the company.  DR Move's office Manager assured me he would handle the paperwork side and never did.  The day of our move the movers showed up 2 hours late and we had to end of paying out of pocket because the paperwork was never sent to the Smart Move program for them to pay for us!  The movers were very up in age, they moved slow and argued the entire time.   We unfortunately had to choice but to go ahead and pay and allow them to move us because the new owners were ready to move in by the following Monday and this was Saturday.  Please be very careful with this company, the other locations may be more professional, but DALLAS is NOT!

  10. Awful, Unprofessional experience.

Worst Experience EVER! I booked my move a month in advance for a 9am show on a Saturday. I opted to go with the hourly rate which suited my needs best. I called about 830am just to check in. They said they could be an hour late. No problem, it was raining pretty hard that morning, traffic might of been slow. Called again at 1030 and "Edward" told me that my movers were finishing up a move from theprevious night. Um excuse me?? I had a confirmed time for 9am. Weather and traffic are one thing, doing another move when I had a scheduled time is unacceptable. At around 1130 I called in again and "Maria" said it could be 2 hours or more before they could get to me. I am livid. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable as a business to do this to your customers. I tried to get her to transfer me to her boss or her bosses boss and she refused time and time again as well as my request to lower my hourly rate as compensation for the inconvenience. Tried calling back between 145-230 and they stopped answering my calls. UNACCEPTABLE! 7 HOURS after my schedule time the movers showed up. The head mover called "Maria" and she picked up immediately so there's proof the phones were running fine. The movers did an ok job. After unpacking I have noticed some damage on my furniture that I am not happy about but everything is still functioning, just not cosmetically what it was. As far as the movers one of them had the gall to ask me if I smoked "the weed." Are you kidding me?!?! When I replied no, he then asked if I had friends that smoked "the weed." I nearly called the cops and told them to get out. I plan to write a negative review for this company on every website I can find! DO NOT USE THEM! Save yourself some trouble and find professional and reputable movers.

  11. Scam!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They didn't work the first hour. I called to complain and the "supervisor" Edward was combative, rude, abrasive and continuously talked over me. He didn't try to help but instead contended he was right. PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!! They added an additional 2 hours to my move and its a scam!

  12. NEGATIVE experience - we do NOT recommend.

NOT a good experience and absolutely would NOT recommend this company. 1- they were an HOUR late for pick up. 2-the "miscellaneous items and comments" that you fill out online does not transfer to the print out the movers had in hand so many of our items would not be moved 3-there were 2 movers. One did not speak any English and the other one spoke some. communication was VERY difficult. 4-they couldn't figure out how to take apart the master bed, which only required a phillips head, which I had to point out to them. 5-my husband had to unscrew the dining room table for them 6-items that were in their way were kicked our thrown 7-when moving the washing machine, they scratched OUR BRAND NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS 8-the master bed frame has a very large scratch that is not able to be repaired 9-half of the hardware to put the master bed back together is now missing and presumably lost. our bed is about to fall apart because it isn't screwed back together 10-they complained about moving items upstairs so my husband and I ended up doing it 11-there was a lady with them the entire time who just sat in the yard. it was awkward and weird and UNPROFESSIONAL   If you want your move done right and your items and home in good shape afterward, it would be wise NOT to use Dr. Move.

  13. Use at your own risk!

My moving experience was not great. Initially I felt confident because Marie (Move Consultant) was very accomodating, she was pleasant, I met her dog as well whose name is Peter, I didn't catch any shady vibes at all, she gave us a qoute of $168.00 for 2 hours and we chose to pack our belongings for the exception of our expensive couch which was a new purchase I thought the the price was very reasonable considering we've paid upwards to $250 in the past with others movers but of course there were issues. I was charged $84 per hour. I paid a deposit down of $150 and I was told I'd have to pay the remainder to the movers. I had a townhome 2 bedroom but we made sure to pack everything and put it in the living room, a lot of our furniture we discarded so I though okay not too many boxes, I'm moving not even 10 minutes from my apartment to my new apartment well this should be an easy move. No it wasn't. First of all Maria did not make it clear that the charges was according to the SIZE of the truck so when the truck pulled up it was small, I lost it, I lost my temper because my concern was that none of it would fit and I'd have to make 2 trips and potentially pay the movers an extra $84 dollars. I was alone, my family member had to run a quick errand well the 2 Hispanic guys was walking slow and I was thinking okay that's weird that they are walking turtle slow. So one of the guys said he wasn't touching anything until he received the rest of his money and I flipped out on him, while I was doing that the other guy started moving my things and I said to the other guy REALLY, you are really not going to move my things for $20 something dollars we owe you. He finally stopped with the bad attitude, had me sign papers and slowly began moving my things reluctantly.   My family member got home, I paid him the rest of the money, I also called Maria and told her I was very unhappy with how she didn't relay to me that the money I was paying determined the size of the truck because my furniture is brand new and I didn't want to destroy my furniture well she called someone, I guess the moving company and they said that everything would fit, they promised to pack it well and promised if anything was damaged they'd pay for it. Well I had to get them both motivated to get my furniture moved as fast as possible but once we got moved I thought WHEW now I can get to my place and get things sorted out, NO. The guy driving was driving at a speed of 10, I WAS DISGUSTED, I finally had to get out of my car IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD WHICH IS SUPER DANGEROUS and tell him to STOP DRIVING SO SLOW because it only takes 10 minutes but this guy was attempting to rip us (2 women off) by making a 10 minute trip into 30 minutes or longer so finally he started to drive like he had some sense once we confronted him. The move was about 30 minutes under the 2 hour minimum I paid for but I had to fight, struggle, cuss, act a fool over a simple 2 hour move, Packng is stressful but the movers well they stressed me out and got on my last nerve with the shady behavior, his objective was to GET MORE MONEY, stretch the hours from 2 to 3 hours or longer.. BE CAREFUL! Watch the movers, check and double check that you have all of your furniture and check for damages, for me fortunately they did not damage anything but yes they were attempting to move slow to GET MORE money out of me, it was one of the worst moving experiences I've ever had. Do not be afraid SPEAK UP, don't allow them to rip you off. I would NOT recommend this company, the consultation experience was pleasant but the move was beyond belief regarding the stress we had to endure.

  14. Say something and do something else.

This company cannot be trusted at all. One moement they say something and then they keep changing their commitment. Please do not use them and suffer the way I did. I wonder how do these businesses survive when they treat their customers so badly. I called them got a quote and scheduled an appointment. The lady told me that she will send me an email for comfirmation. After waiting for long time and not receiving any email I contacted her back and she tells me that they don't have any availaibility and then she says we cannot do the move for you. If they don't want to work then why do business. .

  15. **WARNING** Painful Move from Dr. Move.

I contacted Maria at Dr. Move four weeks in advance for my recent move. I requested Saturday morning- 8 a.m. February 26th and sent back to Dr. Move the completed Contract. I did not hear back from them, so I sent an email to Maria requesting confirmation of the date/time. No response. A few days later I sent another email. No response. Then I called Dr. Move four days before my schedule moved. Spoke to Amanda who told me "yes we have down for Saturday 8am".
Then the afternoon before my scheduled move, Maria called me to "confirm Saturday at 1pm". I said "No this is not what I requested; I need you here at 8am". Maria then informed me that because I didn't put down a deposit they could not guarantee the first move of the day. This was the first I was hearing about it!! and I now had scheduling conflicts with DirecTV, the Cleaning Company, and the Internet provider's scheduling.
Then she proceeded to start arguing with me in a series of emails telling me that she did inform me about the deposit and that it was my responsibility to look over the documentation. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? If I had known about this deposit requirement, I would have gladly paid it.
Then the day of the move she called and told me that the movers would be here at 1pm, well the movers didn't showed up until 4pm!
I had to reschedule everything, including taking a day off work on Monday, which cost me $480 in lost wages.
Neither of the owners of Dr. Move bothered to respond to my request to discuss their handling of my move.
