  1. FL to NY Moving.

The experience with Duntara Moving was very pleasnt! I was pregnant when I required their services and I didn't move a finger to move my stuff. The movers were really corteous and the same for the people who gave me an estimate and booked the job.

  2. My local move.

I recently moved from Margate, FL to Wilton Manors. Duntara Moving and Storage was very helpful in executing my move in it's most efficient and least stressful Manor. From my first phone call to the delivery of my items, Duntara was there to help with any and all questions and delivers that arose. My move was timely, successful, and cost effective to my moving needs. I will rely on the professional services provided by Duntara in the future.

  3. Duntara moving company.

I have used this company 3 different times. 2 local and one out of state. They are always prompt and courteous. I have recommended this company to numerous friends without reservation. The owner Mike is great.

  4. Moving Experience or lack thereof.

I moved from New Jersey to Florida by American Moving & Storage Services a/k/a Duntara Moving & Storage..Do not under any circumstances use this company. They take your money after they demand double of what was quoted and run!! My furniture was either broken or missing when delivered. Not only that, but I was their first stop in the morning and my furniture was in the middle of the truck. They only found 2 items from a long list of missing items. It has now been 7 months since the move and my claim has not been resolved. I know now they had and have no intentions of resolving it. They have done nothing by lie to me the entire time. I have spent many weeks out of my time, with phone calls, emails, taking pictures, filling out claim forms. They delay handling your claim with their lies and actions hoping you would just go away. Your only resource is to get an attorney, which I am now doing. I also am filing a Complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. I just don't understand how a company with so many bad reviews is still in business.

  5. My Moving.

I have a very good experience since the beginning with this company, Fred was very helpful in all the details for the process and guided me in al the steps. I had to move my belongs from a storage in NJ to Orlando Fl. Everything was done well and precise , by Tim and by Carlos the driver. Carlos did the extra mile to help and to do his job well done. If I have to move again, definitely I will do it with them. Highly recommended!! Thank you for your help all the way.

  6. Great experience..

Moving to another state is always very complicated and stressful but I can honestly say Duntara moving and storage made this transition a lot smoother, not to mention due to my job transferring to GA I wasn’t able to give the moving company enough notice but they took the job picked and delivered my items on time and were professional trough to the whole process.  .

  7. Will use this company again! :).

Just finished up college, I had to move to PA for an amazing job offer that needed me ASAP. I was happy to find Duntara Moving & Storage Company.  They were understanding of my quick timeline and we're able to move my stuff quickly and ON TIME.  I am happy with my experience with this company and will recommend others.  Thanks Duntara! .

  8. Terrible experience! I wouldn't use them again for free!

Duntara quoted us $4800 for our cross-country move, but raised the price over 61% to $7800 once all our belongings were on the truck on route. They never showed up on the drop-off date promised and never even called. We spent the next 3 weeks on the floor of our new home being given the run around.   The trailer, that holds several different loads, was rerouted several times and out in the heat wave for 21 days. When they arrived, there were several boxes and items “lost” (including new electronics, collectible crystal and family heirlooms). I find it hard to believe that our most valuable items were accidentally lost. Our furniture and other items were several heat damaged and several broken. They refused to pay even the minimum $0.60/lb in damages after making me waste more hours on all the paperwork. They were also nasty and condescending. Over a year later, they offered us less than 10% of our loss in order to get us to take down negative reviews. Even though we had nothing to gain by declining the meager couple of hundred they offered, it wasn’t worth having another family be so treated so poorly. Do not do business with Duntara Moving!    .

  9. Never showed the day of the move.

They got my deposit and never showed the day of the move.$1993.00.I called the next day after a no show and told them to forget it ,I had hired another mover.Antonio then told me that I will have to forfeit my deposit of $1993.00.I have since Had the charges from my credit card reversed as this idiot of a salesman thought he could do a no show and just keep my deposit.I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy ! Wanted to be my Facebook friend as well. Not happening dude !

  10. Terrible Company.

I had an extremely bad experience with American Moving and Storage from beginning to end and it got increasingly worse through the entire process.  First, they employ totally dishonest sales people who misrepresent their company as a “legitimate carrier” when in fact they are nothing more than a deadbeat broker among the dregs of the industry.  They promise to use of their own trucks and employees for your move, none of which exist.  As soon as you pay your deposit (which is their gross profit), they broker the entire move to the most incompetent, dishonest, rock bottom carriers in the industry (in my case a company called Source One based in Raleigh, NC).  American never informed me (by intent) that they brokered the move.  I am going to deal with specific feedback on the Source One scam in a separate review, but I need to highlight some issues with them in this review as American Moving and Storage was legally and ultimately responsible.    Although I was expecting the promised American van, Source One had a 2 day window (the request being Day 1) and they showed up on Day 2 at 2pm with 2 rental trucks, an old beat up pickup pulling a U-Haul trailer and 12 men.  The 12 men although wearing Source One t-shirts, appeared to have been recruited from homeless shelters and from under bridges with mean IQ’s of about 50.  I honestly thought I was dealing with the Beverly Hillbillies.  They finished loading the trucks, etc. at midnight including multiple garage items tied onto the outside of the trucks.  I didn’t know at the time, but the truck was loaded by and incompetent manager and furniture and many box contents were damaged.      I had one day to clean the house and drive over 600 miles to Tarpon Springs, FL to unload starting at 9.00a the following day.  That “travel” day, the Source One driver called my cell and said I owed an additional $1000 for packing charges that were already negotiated in the original price with American.  I then realized that Source One was also a crooked company in addition to totally incompetent.  I told them I would not pay, would sue them and destroy them on social media and they backed down to a $250 surcharge or they would not unload my goods (real crooks).  So I was forced to pay them and deal with American after the fact.    They hired more under-bridge dwellers on the unloading side and damaged more goods on the unload process including smashing a $14,000 piano due to abject stupidity and incompetence.  They also lost goods en route, some of which likely fell off the outside of the truck.    Once we determined the majority of the damaged goods, I filed a claim with American in November.  They refused to pay many of my claims and finally agreed to a ridiculous settlement in July (8 months later).  They made me sign a waiver of all liability which I did because I knew they were a totally corrupt and dishonest company and I decided to take the money and run.  However, they delayed payment with stupid excuse after excuse (mostly blaming it on their “partner” Source One) and finally paid me after 30 angry calls in October (nearly 1 year after filing the claim).  Again, the amount they paid me was a joke compared to the damage but I knew they were crooks so just took whatever they would pay.   I can summarize by saying that if you want the most stressful and disastrous household move imaginable, then hire American Moving and Storage.  They will fulfill that objective very well.  Otherwise, avoid the company like the Black Plague.  They are an unmitigated disaster as a company.            .

  11. Terrible Service.

Nightmare company - BEWARE! We had the worst moving experience of our lives with Duntara. They tried to overcharge us based on a bogus weight calculation that I proved false when I required them to go to an actual weighing station. They damaged my apartment's exterior structure with the truck, and then claimed they weren't responsible, which cost me $1300 out of pocket to fix. They were 2 weeks late delivering our contents. Customer service is a joke. Absolute disaster - avoid them like the plague!!

  12. Moving.

Duntara received our business through phone conversation. They staed they would move our household from Illinois to New Mexico (May 2013) the cost of $2900.00. After taking our $800.00 deposit, it was nearly impossible to get ahold of the salesman, Lissa. Once our items were loaded and hauled away, we received a phone call in which Duntara Moving stated they would not deliver our item unless we paid them an additional $6500.00 cash. They held our items for random in a warehouse in Chicago. They delivered our items over a week after pickup after extorting nearly 3 times the initial cost. Items were broken, including an antique hummel collection. Furniture was bashed, dinged, and broken. our grill was blatantly stolen as when we took our grill cover off, to our surprise the $800.00 dollar grill was missing and replaced with a broken piece of garbage grill. In addition they took two propane tanks. They damaged a TREK Session 77 $4500.00 mountain bike. They broke a pre-WWI German dish set, They destroyed an antique gumball machine, in addition to many other irreplaceable items. They were not willing to replace a single item. Rats entered on of our boxes and destroyed the contents. Duntara refused to admit the transfer of our possessions from one truck to another. To avoid thieving dilletante liars, please avoid these crooks at all cost.

  13. Duntara Danger!!

I hired this company to move my household goods from Orlando FL to Western Washington. The company assured me that the truck delivering my furniture would have the Duntara name on it. They told me they doon't contract out. I later (after the picked up my belongings) I dound out that was untrue. Fast forward to one day after the delivery window I was given, I callded adn the goods were still in storage at their South Florida storage facility. First they told me that it was leaving on the next truck out at the first of the week.. LIES. I called them every week for several weeks and got the same answer with an Im sorry this is happening but we can't find a carrier to make teh run to teh west coast. Long story shortened. it took about 2.5 months and threats to take them to court and complaints to the BEtter Business Bureau and another 3 weaks before my belongings were finally on the way  Once the  truck arrived, while unloading and verifing the items and numbers coming off the truck, several boxed did not have numbers on them. Later, after the truck left and I was unpacking, I dscovered a few boxes missing and a couple of items damaged. . Contacting the company and filing claim I the were willing to pay for the damaged items but refused the claim on the missing boxes because they had no record of them. To add insult to injury, the compensation for having my goods in storage for two months longer than they should have, I was given less than about 15% discount. All I can say is buyer be ware of this company!! I will never use this company again and recomend no one else use them either.

  14. Dishonest.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!! They are scammers! They tell you one price and then their Driver will tell you a higher price. The Driver has taken my furniture hostage so I pay his price! You can't believe the 5 and 4 stars reviews! Watch out! Call the Federal Motor Carrier Safty Administration. This company also known as American Moving and Storage. They have a bad Rap with the FMCSA. Put these people out of business by not giving them any!!

  15. Overall bad experienace.

Was quoted one price. knowing I had to be out of my house they showed up two days late then said the estimate was wrong and wanted an additional $2500.00 . Which we then cancelled them. Now we find the charged my credit card for over $1,000.00 for deposit and will not return it. This companuy seems to be scamming people knowing that the have no time to change movers but we rented a tuck ourselves.   .
