Long distance move from South Jersey to Southern Delaware.
Originally hired this mover because they got back to us promptly and "seemed" to know what they were doing, WOW were we wrong! We sent all of the specs for the few pieces of furniture (a bed, bedframe, two nightstands. a long dresser, a "highboy" dresser, a sofa and a loveseat - they even called it a minimal move) including weight and all measurements of the furniture. "Mike" the salesman adjusted our bill to reflect a heavier sofa (electric recliner)and assured us the "estimate" would be exact. WRONG! First off when they called the night before they had not scheduled us for a delivery to our new home (what did they think they were going to do with our furniture?). We got that straightened out then the day of the move they smacked the trim on the outside of the house and took a chunk out of it. After they got the truck loaded they informed us that the load was TWICE the size the salesman had listed and wanted to charge us twice what the estimate was. They also said there was a $200 fuel charge and a $65 charge for covering the furniture - something the salesman did not mention or include in the estimate. We argued back and forth until they actually lowered the new price by a small amount. We still ended up paying almost $600 more then the agreed upon price but when you have all of your furniture in the truck and a tenant about to occupy the old location it backs you into a corner! When the movers had unloaded the truck and left we discovered a tear in the almost brand new mattress. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Nothing but bait and switch - terrible business!!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They broke the only items that they delivered, lost over 50%. Took 56 days to deliver!! Charged triple! Now they hang up on me, won't accept claim !! AWFUL !! Join Facebook group "east coast movers are scammers!" If you did hire this company! Victims are uniting for lawsuit now !!
Scam artist. Beware.
I called on 5/30 to confirm my move date of 5/31 and to make sure everything was good.
They claimed I said 6/30 and could not get anyone to help me, but the alleged sales rep said he would call me. He never did.
I had to scramble to get a Penske truck and hire someone to load the truck.
East coast refused to give back my $300.00 deposit. They are criminals, I am filling a police report and getting an attorney for theft by conversion.
Moving Ripe Off.
Its a scam scam scam and they will take your money and run with it and leave you nothing to show for it but an empty wallet. From Nicole in sales to Vicki in transport to Micheal Wallace their upper management they are there to take you take your money and not move you. I got scammed out of money me and my kids needed by this company I try to always believe the best in people but these people don't care. How they sleep at night I have no idea knowing how they have done another human it will all work out their is a special place for people like this and I believe karma will get those who deserve it. Plus they wanted an extra 4000 cause they did not allow enough space on the truck when I said I did not have that much and they said we can take have your stuff that's a refusal and then your deposit become theirs. They were days late then wanted to charge me double the price but I am in the wrong. Yes the 800 they got for my deposit wrong. Please don't use them they will take your money and run. I filed charges against them will never see my money but hope it saves someone from doing the same thing trusting people to do the job they were paid to do. They got one star cause there was nothing lower I could choose from. People beware beware beware.
Moving.
We lived in Shallotte NC and was riding by and noticed where East Coastal moving was located. We stopped by and told them where we were moving to and requested a bid.We liked them at once and after received the bid we told them that we wanted them to move us.They came to move us Tuesday the day we told them and did a good job getting all our goods packed and loaded on their truck.Then the next day they came to where we were moving at the right time of day.Then they unloaded all
our goods and did a good job. Overall I would rate all our dealing with them and the drivers they had to deliver our goods as excellent

Interstate Move.
I can't say enough good things about my recent move using East Coast Movers. The care taken with my possessions was extraordinary. Every item of furniture was carefully wrapped and delivered in pristine condition. The loading and unloading crew was very professional and courteous. East Coast Movers has managed to take a potentially high stress event and turn it into a walk in the park. Awesome job!!
