Lost items and disrespectful to me and my family
The customer service is poor and I find the movers blatant rule and very disrespectful. Erica Edwards quoted a $1000 plus taxes to transported items to Hephzibah, Georgia. Upon arrival of the mover on November 28, 2020, I was told itwill cost us more to transported the items. Both the driver and Erica beginning to asked how much I can paid. It was agreed that I will paid $2100.00. A down payment of a $100 was paid prior to pick up,and it was agreed upon pick up of items to paid 70% which is $700.00. Please note based on the increased to $2100, this writer agreed to paid $600 more and Monday, November 30, 2020, and upon delivery of the items in Georgia thebalance of $600 will be paid. The agreement were that the mover would pick up: 1 China Cabinet, 1 Dresser, 2 bedside tables, 1 Chester draw and 25 boxes.I was told that the mover would come and pack the things and pack tthem in the truck and unpack the truck in Georgia, as well pack the stuff in the apartment in Georgia. The mover pack about 6 -8 big boxes and maybe about 7 medium side cartoon boxes, along with 1 China Cabinet, 1 Dresser, 2 bedside tables and the Chester draw. Our target date for arrival in Georgia was Friday, December 4, 2020. The truck arrived on Tuesday December 8, 2020 at approximately 10:30 am. My mother(Leleith Norton) had to pay the $600 before the items were taken to her apartment. While she was unpacking the items she realized that three boxes were missing which contained the following the she could remember.
1 big bottle of Gain soap; 1 big bottle of softener; 12 tins of evaporated milk; 12 tins of condensed milk; 12 tins of Sardines; 1 big bottle of vegetables oil; 1 big bottle of Olive oil; 1 big bottle of coconut oil; 3 lbs. ginger; 2 packs of Dove soap (24); 20 bottles body wash; 12 bottles lotion; 3 lbs. saltfish; 1 big pumpkim; 1 small box contains knives, forks and spoons worth about $1000.00. 2 pocket container of corn pork; maybe about 5 lbs. of potatoes; 2 medium pots; 1 bread; Grapes, oranges, ripe banana, 12 lemons andi 10 lbs. bagsof brown rice. I call Erica and informed her that I sent her a email for her to check the warehouse if they could located the items. She immediately rulely stated that the insurance does not cover food items. I said the items are not all foods. I asked if I could speak with the Boss. She puts me on to Leah who stated that she dumps the items and I must have my lawyer call her. I want the public to be aware and not to use Easyway Van Lines based on the bad tastes that this transaction has left in our mouth.
