Horrible TX to CA move.
Elephant Moving guys broke the water pipe in my house while loading the washer and refused to pay for damages. I would not wish to anyone to deal with flooded laundry room, plumber, dry wall repair on the day of move as I did after this kind of ‘complimentary’ service. ( Elephant movers confirmed prior the move that I don’t have to unplug appliances) Later they could not tell me where my belongings are and when they will arrive to CA for 2.5 weeks after moving date . Elephant Moving and Storage gave me run around every time I tried to find out where my stuff is. Every time I called they referred to mysterious 'dispatcher' who suppose to know that and never called back. One item was stolen and they did not even acknowledge the claim, I did not get any compensation. Looks like with their business model they can make a profit even if they won’t even bother to deliver your belonings - they charge 79c per pound to move and suppose to compensate 60c per pound if they lose an item ( unless you purchase extra insurance) . Their final charge was almost double of the estimated charges, so next time I will hire movers with binding quote. Never ever use Elephant Moving and Storage movers for your interstate move! .

These guys did a fantastic job on my move from Houston to NY. They were able to get everything set up on short notice afterour other movers tried to change our date with them to a day that wouldn t work for us. Elephant Moving was very helpful through the process of getting the quote and answering my questions. They really made me comfortable and I felt very confident about using them to move our house. The movers were verynice and did a great job picking up our things. And the delivery driver was a saint - he was so patient with us as we tried to figure out where to put everything in the smaller house we moved into. Great experience, greatmovers, I would use them again in a heartbeat!
Great Moving Experience For the Whole Family!
These guys were great! They moved my son and daughter-in-law into their storage facility a couple of weeks ago and she said they did a great job and were very nice and professional. We decided to use them to move us to Houston and were incredibly pleased with the service they provided. The crew was friendly and helpful and their hard work made the move go very quickly even though it was such a long drive from Austin to Houston. They set up everything in our new house exactly as we asked and it all looked great. They did a nice job wrapping up all our furniture for the move, and they were even very careful with our new wood floors and covered them so they wouldn't scratch them up, which was my main worry.Two thumbs up!
The Best I've Used!
I ve used professional movers 3 times in the last 4 years. The crew from Elephant Moving and Storage were by far the BEST moving crew I ve ever seen. If I remember correctly, the crew leader was Jose. He and the 3 other guys were awesome. They were clean, prompt, polite, and reasonably priced. Not one thing was broken or scratched during our Austin move. They wrapped and padded all our delicate furniture and bedding. They were very fast, very efficient. I was originally worried because we did not buy additional moving insurance, but that was clearly not needed. These guys know exactly what they are doing. Don t bother shopping around it will be a waste of your time. I doubt you can find better movers at any price! Highly recommended!
Couldn't Have Asked for Better Service!
We used Elephant Moving to move our house in Steiner Ranch. We have a large house with a lot of heavy furniture. I was impressed with the large crew they sent to complete the move. Everything was done in one day - it was a very long day but the movers were very patient and did not stop working hard. Their estimator came to the house before the move to give us a quote, which was very close to the final cost. He explained how they wrap everything during the move, and as promised that is exactly what I saw the movers do. They took very good care of all of our things, and were nice about rearranging one of the rooms that turned out to be smaller than we thought and didn't fit the furniture the way we meant to. Only one item broke during the move. A small cabinet made of particle board that was already unstable came apart in the truck during the drive between houses. The crew leader had pointed it out to me and told me it might not make it because the pieces were loose, so that was ok. Everything went according to plan and seemed to operate very smoothly even though there were so many guys working together. I was very pleased with the fine service that we received. I have already recommended them to some friends. I know that our next move will definitely be with Elephant Moving.
Worst experience ever!! Beware!
I hope people choose other movers! Although the movers were nice guys, they showed up late and unprepared. I actually had to go to Walmart to buy packaging materials, extra boxes, etc., which should have been brought by the movers. They did a HORRIBLE job of packing everything, and I ended up having to take another 6 hour trip to pick up what they didn't bring to my small 2 bedroom apartment. They broke items, scratched the screen of my TV, damaged the walls when carrying items, etc.
I contacted the management, but they refuse to return my phone calls. I have filed an insurance claim, following their instructions, and after 3 weeks, still haven't received any communication from them. Every time I call, "the manager is out of the office." They are completely unprofessional, and I encourage people to use anybody else!
Horrible Interstate move.
Local moves maybe fine, but I had a horrible experience with an interstate move from Austin to Irvine Calif. The initial quote was $2000. Then, after a representative visited my Austin apartment at my request, the quote went to $3000 because of furniture I had in storage. By the time the furniture arrived in Calif (the movers kept my items on the truck until I paid in full a new price and signed all their documents), I was charged about $5300. Make sure you get all the documents you have to sign in advance and get a fixed price for your move. Otherwise you WILL get screwed. The movers lost material, returned the following day with the missing components, but wouldn't complete moving and assembling all items unless I paid more money. If you are moving out of state, don't use Elephant.
