  1. Missing property.

They did not deliver my bike at move in. Emailed and they told me they have it "just missed it in the warehouse..will deliver when we can. That was May 5. Have emailed 2 more times now and they have just stopped responding.

  2. Move CA to AZ.

Moving is stressful for all involved. A few logistical things I would have liked to be informed about ahead of time but that would have been the responsibility of the first moving company that subcontracted Energy Moving LLC. They did a great job.

  3. Do Not Use Energy Moving!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They under bid, charged twice as much, made me work while they were GONE FOR 3 HOURS (who does that?!?!) with promise of discount-then didn’t justify their final bill of $16,500! (Their bid was $8,007!) No final weight, no final box count including box sizes for accurate charges. Gouged my wood floors after removing the 3/4 inch foam I put down to protect it, dented and scratched our new fridge to high heaven, pieces of my like-new piano are missing, broke our garage door, leaving it open and our house exposed, and wouldn’t wait 10 minutes for me to get there to see it and do a final walk thru - when I told them I was on my way right then, they’d called while they were already on their way out of town! They are still refusing responsibility even tho we’ve never before or since had a problem with the door and it worked perfectly the night before - they moved items off the high shelves in the garage (right next to the open door on the ceiling) last. They made us pay in full when a truck arrived, and didn’t tell us that it was only partial delivery until it was empty and over 1/2 our things were still missing!! Apparently our things have been on a truck for WEEKS in CALIFORNIA even tho we moved from IDAHO to TEXAS. I am horrified thinking of what condition our remaining belongings are in at this point. They have until Tuesday for final delivery before breach of contract and STILL WONT GUARANTEE DELIVERY. It took them WEEKS to finally tell us where our things are. Oh! And last week I got a call from the storage unit they used in Idaho - asking us for payment on the unit?!?!?! Apparently it still has some of their moving supplies in it?!?!?! Do yourself a HUGE FAVOR.. if they show up at your door because they were contracted out (it was US Standard Moving that let us down there) JUST TURN THEM AWAY. ugh.

  4. Consumers Beware of Energy Moving Systems!!

For our move from FLA to PA, we did not select this company..our original moving broker that we had contracted with on 8/3/2019 was INTERNATIONAL VAN LINES & they passed us off to Energy Moving Systems on 9/9/2019 which was the day before they were scheduled to be at our house on 9/10/19. I immediately read reviews about Energy online & was mortified that this would be the company coming to move our stuff, but it was too late to be able to find another mover in less than 12 hours!! And the price was now $1500 more than originally quoted. Talk about being between a rock and a hard place!!

I must say this was the most stressful moving experience we have ever had with THE CREW THAT UNLOADED OUR INVENTORY IN PA. Large furniture items that had been carefully wrapped (blankets & tape) & packed in Vero Beach, FL by a different crew down there arrived at our home here in PA TOTALLY UNWRAPPED, DIRTY, SCRATCHED, GOUGED & EVEN DESTROYED!!

The rental truck that EMS used in Vero Beach to pack us up was not the truck that was used to deliver our inventory in PA. In fact, when EMS contacted us to set up the delivery in PA, they told us our inventory was NOW on 2 separate trucks & they wanted to deliver 1/2 of it the following day & couldn't tell us when the other 1/2 would be delivered. We told them NO..that it all needs to be delivered at the same time. The customer service manager got very rude to my husband on the phone & ACTUALLY HUNG UP ON MY HUSBAND. So 2 days later, our whole house shipment came in 1 truck which means it had been handled & shifted around from truck to truck at least 4 times!!

Many of the boxes that I had so carefully & painstakingly packed with bubble wrap, Styrofoam dish sheets & packing paper were so damaged that from the looks of them, I don’t know how anything could have survived! I did have several pieces in the boxes that were destroyed.

Boxes had holes gouged into them, some that were so destroyed they had been re-taped around & around the perimeter of the boxes to hold them together, mushed boxes and then to top all of this off, the head of the moving crew here in PA opted to ROLL SOME OF THE BOXES UPSTAIRS & DOWNSTAIRS RATHER THAN CARRYING THEM!! I have never in my life seen such disregard & disrespect for other people’s property, ESPECIALLY when your primary job is moving people’s property!

They also had items on the truck that were NOT ours, so I hope they found the proper home for them. I feel fortunate that the only thing missing in our shipment was a hand truck dolly.

We did take out extra insurance when we booked this and I AM SO THANKFUL THAT WE DID!! I've never done that before & have now been through the 3-month process of filing a claim & waiting for reimbursement. Our damage & replacement costs were over $3000!! But even when the furniture is repaired, I can't imagine it will look like the condition it was in when it left our house in FLA! We take such pride of ownership in our "stuff" and I was HEARTBROKEN & IN TEARS when they brought it to us in PA!

PLEASE FOLKS, STAY AWAY FROM EMS! I would be so disheartened to have someone else go through our nightmare!

  5. Awful service, even worse customer service!

We used a broker, International Van Lines (IVL) for our move from CT to TX. IVL Contracted Energy Moving Systems (EMS), for our move from CT to TX. Energy Moving Systems showed up and packed our stuff, and then stored it for three months, supposedly in a climate controlled facility (as per IVL), while we found a house in TX. We informed EMS of our first available date over 1 month out. They flat out refused to give us a window of when to expect our stuff, which made it impossible to plan a cross-country move, especially when you have two small kids. They always referred back to the contact that essentially limits them from any and all responsibility for delivery, damage, or loss. When they finally did give us an expected delivery they pushed it back 4 times. They told us our stuff was part of a larger load and was going to Tennessee first. The day before the expected delivery they informed me that my stuff was coming in an 18 Wheeler and they might not be able to deliver to my Community, and that I might have to pay for a “shuttle truck”. When my stuff did come it came in a box truck and the driver said that he picked the truck up from NY 2 days before and drove straight down, so everything they said was a lie! When my stuff did come my (2) 47” televisions were missing, some of my stuff was broken, and there was water damage. When trying to contact EMS I was dumped off to the insurance company that is offering a fraction of what the total damage costs are. After reaching back out to EMS they were little help and I couldn’t even get them to agree to call me back. Awful company, unprofessional at best! I understand that stuff like this happens with a move, but it is the manner of which my claim has been handled up to this point that is appalling!

  6. Nightmare Experience.

Moving was a nightmare from end to end. Energy first picked my stuff up in Philadelphia. It took three movers over four hours to move my thing from a 10x10 storage unit into the truck, boxes that were already packed. Then the foreman told me it’s customary to tip 20% of the whole move to their team. So the recommendation was for me to give them an $800 tip on pick up understanding a different team would be picking my stuff up. The next day after pickup I got a call from the office. The person who called me was incredibly rude and was yelling at me for neglecting to sign something on their form at pickup. Mind you the foreman had pointed out to me each place that needed signature. They said they needed this to process payment, they had already processed payment. Before my things were picked up I let the dispatch team know that I couldn’t get into my new apartment until After 3pm that Thursday. I got a call at 1 pm on Thursday saying they were a half hour away. Since I was still two hours away on my drive down and didn’t even have keys to the apartment yet I told them that wouldn’t work. They said it would be a $150 charge to keep my stuff on the truck until I got there. At the beginning of this whole move I let the broker know that I wanted to charge the entire move to a credit card since I was being reimbursed by my new company. On the day of delivery the foreman called to tell me I needed $2k in cash on delivery or they wouldn’t drop my things off. Also he told me to make sure that I take out enough cash to leave them a good tip. Called back a second time to make sure I had plenty of cash for a good tip. When the movers arrived they didn’t have any tools with them to put back together any of the furniture that they had taken apart. So they left me everything in parts, I’ve since had to hire a handy man to finish the job so pile that on top of an already expensive move. One of the three movers chain smoked in my doorway for the two hours that they unpacked the truck, they also delivered a few things that weren’t mine. The foreman got annoyed with me at several points and kept aggressively telling me he didn’t have tools and can’t do anything about it. I wasn’t even asking at any point for him to do anything, I honestly sat quietly because I just wanted it to end. Weeks later I have noticed several things missing. A dining room chair, which seems like it would be hard to lose. And at least 6 items of clothing, not sure if they missed a whole box or what. I wouldn’t be surprised if some other family in Florida has my stuff sitting in their house given I nearly had other people’s stuff in mine. This was a horrific experience and it took me a month to even write a review because it has taken that long to digest how truly awful this company was at all touch points. I can’t understand how they are in business and it’s no surprise to me that they’re not registered with the BBB because I’m confident they’d lose that accreditation in a heartbeat. Not holding my breath to see my stuff again anytime soon because they truly don’t care.

  7. Be Aware.

**DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY** GO FAR AWAY. I ws subcontracted to this company and they showed up to my move with a rental budget truck and 1 mover. It has been 4 MONTHS and my lost belongings haven't been found. Most of my items have been damaged and they take no responsibility (see pictures). PLEASE do yourself a favor and find a better company.

  8. Terrible Company.

On Friday October 5, 2018 my husband and I began to interview moving Companies. We spoke with Juan and discussed the size of the move, locations, prices and dates.

I told him that we wanted to be out by 11/6/18 and in by the 11/13/18. I was told that there would be a 3-day window for pick-up and delivery on each end. We agreed that the pick-up window would be from the 4th to the 6th, and the delivery window would be from the 11th through the 13th. We discussed this and I was told that that it would not be a problem.

We signed papers and returned them to Juan on 10/9/18. We did not notice the company had extended the delivery dates out to 11/18/18.

We were not informed that American Van Lines would broker out our job to another company and did not find this out until the day they were supposed to pack and pick-up our goods.

We were called around 11:00 AM on 11/6/18, the day that they were supposed to pack and pick-up, that they could not come that morning because the truck had broken down and would call us when it was repaired. We did not know at that time that they were in Fresno, Ca which is 119 miles away, approximately a 2.5-hour drive with normal traffic. It was also at this time that we found out our job was brokered out to Energy Moving. At that time, we looked up this company to discover that their online reviews were horrible. We were called later that day to tell us that they truck was not going to be fixed in time to pick us up that that and would “try” for the next day.

We had arranged for a hotel that evening at the Best Western in Gilroy, we called explained our situation and they graciously canceled our reservation with no penalty.

The next morning, we waited for word from the movers and they finally arrived mid-afternoon. The packing and loading began and quickly became a fiasco. I went through the house explaining what need to be packed, what stayed and showed them an area where I had put everything that was not to be packed and was going with us.

Numerous times we noticed that breakable items were being put into a box with no protection or wrapping and not necessarily with like items. Example one box contained: a lamp, the shade, yoga mat, silver mantle clock and clothes from master closet. Nothing was wrapped, and the clothes were just laying on top of it all, instead of being hung in the wardrobe boxes.

About 2 hours into the packing (by this time it was dark outside) boxes were all over the carport and street, I noticed that my purse was missing. It had been placed in the area with the other items that were not to be packed. When I told the driver about this, he explained that it couldn’t be, that I must be mistaken. No, it was packed. I went out with one of the packers and opened approximately 20 boxes and finally found it at the bottom of a wardrobe box. The box was also packed with hanging clothes and clothes that were just wadded up and pushed through to the bottom. It also contained other household items that did not come out of the clothes closet. During the search, I found numerous of these 20 boxes that were not properly packed Sand items from all over the home just thrown into boxes with no organization at all.

We were supposed to be staying in Fernley, NV that night at the Super 8 Motel but had to cancel our reservation and pay over $120.00 for the room because it was taking long to pack. At 12:30 AM on 11/8/18 the movers finely finished what was supposed to be a 5 hour job. My husband and I drove to Sacramento, approximately 150 miles and arrived around 3:00 AM and stayed at the La Quinta Inn.

The morning of 11/8/18 we left Sacramento and drove to Winnemucca, NV spent a night. The next day we drove to Caldwell, ID. We stayed in the La Quinta Inn.

We kept in constant communication with American Van Lines numerous personnel trying to get a date for delivery. It was on one of these calls that we were told that they had until 11/18/18 to deliver per out contract. This was obviously very upsetting and explained that no one had ever mentioned this to us, but after reviewing the contract we saw that the date had been amended from what had been agreed to. it but still did not believe that it could take that long. In fact, the driver had told us that it could be there as early as the 11th.

Our original reservation had been from 11/10/18 to 11/14/18. We had to extend out reservation at the hotel 3 times, each time with no guarantee of a delivery day, except to say that the contract said it had to be there by the 11/18/18. The movers finally arrived at 7:00 AM on 11/22/18 which was Thanksgiving Day.

While unpacking our belongings, we discovered that very important items were missing: a file cabinet with tax records, passports, military records, medical records; statue that was the last gift received from a deceased parent, and furniture. A couple of days later, fortunately it was found in a crate that was left behind in Fresno. They finally delivered it to us the following week. It was on this delivery that we found out that the crew had been overbooked by their office and should have been here days before. Instead, our delivery had been diverted. The crew was sent to a client that had a huge home with museum quality goods to pack and move, which took an additional 3 days.

Further, getting up the day after the initial delivery we discovered that our very expensive mattress, which had been wrapped and loaded on the outside of the truck had gone through a snow storm, was wet. When we called to discuss this urgent matter, we were told to just file a claim. This was no help at all.

We had to give up our holiday with friends, we had to extend our stay at the hotel, we were mentally stressed due to all of these factors. All of this is bad enough, but with all the extra days in motels and having to buy 3 meals per day we spent well over $1,400.00 that we had not budgeted for.

What should have been a joyous move, retiring and moving to a new home turned out to be a nightmare which we are still financially and emotionally suffering from.

Please never hire these people, They are a disaster.

  9. Do Not Use.

I hired Colonial Van Lines for a move from CA to NV. They (not known to me) hired Energy Moving out of Manteca CA. Many items did not show up at my new address, I am assuming stolen--ladder, box of pictures, air conditioner, antique coin and bill collection, and more. I have been crying every day as I do not have a lot, have worked hard for everything I have, and more important, some of the coins and bills were family heirlooms.

Driver can keep my other stuff but I really want my coin/bill collection back. If returned, I'll remove this post.

I would suggest not using this company.

  10. Moving across country.

They showed up on time, arrived 4 days later across the country to my new home but without the smaller truck which I paid $350 in order to get into my driveway. The long haul driver had no excuse for why they didn't bring a smaller truck which resulted in me moving my items the last 1/4 mile in my pickup truck in a lightning and thunderstorm. I can forgive all of this but here's the rub.. the gentleman (Slava) who originally picked up our stuff to take to the long haul driver decided to keep my 20 ft extension ladder. After acknowledgement that he kept the ladder and after numerous promises to return the ladder, he has never delivered my ladder. While he was always available via phone, he has not lived up to his word. I would avoid using Energy Moving, LLC if you want to keep your possessions. If he ever delivers my ladder I will remove this post.

  11. Couldn't Be Worse.

Horrible Experience; actually worst of my life! Unbelievable these people are allowed in our homes, around our kids and personal property. They work with RELO VAN LINES and were contracted by ALL STATE VAN LINES RELOCATION out of Florida. Stay away from all of these crooks.

A year later I am still so angry at this company/Slava owner of Energy Moving. We moved from CA to WA. Late in everything, didn't load and move everything on contract list, lied, stole, threatened me, intimidated my wife. We are missing very expensive items that would be very easy to sell in a pawn shop. We will never see these again and have sentimental value and most likely will never be replaced. STAY AWAY. IF THEY ARE CONTRACTED THROUGH A BROKER, DO NOT LET THEM HANDLE THE MOVE. IT IS BETTER TO BE LATE THAN HAVE WHAT HAPPENDED TO US HAPPEN TO YOU.

  12. Worst moving experience ever.

I have moved many times using various movers. I have always had a pleasant experience until dealing with Energy. They refused to work with our pick up and delivery dates and then tried to over charge us based upon the weight of the truck. We had them re-weigh the truck and the weight was incorrect. It was a gut feeling when we met the driver that something didn't feel right. At that point we just wanted to get our stuff and be done with them. I would have given a zero star if I could.

  13. California to Florida.

Energy moving took two months to deliver our household goods, then they hired some workers 'off the street' to unload. Thousands of dollars of items were broken and damaged, and several boxes were missing. Much damage was done to the interior of the home when they moved things in. We filed a were awarded a damage claim, but they have ignored the claim. Altogether a horrible company to work with.

  14. Bad Delivery Info and Missing Items.

We were originally notified of delivery on the 14, 15, or 16 of December We made special arrangements for someone to be there. Then we were notified that delivery would be December 17 or 18. We again made arrangements for someone to be there. On December 19 (the last day of the guaranteed delivery window) we found out they were in Bend, Oregon finishing a delivery and would then drive to Kirkland, Washington (at least 9 hours away) and deliver our goods on the last scheduled day which was a Saturday, December19. They called from Portland, Oregon at 7pm and said they would be leaving in 20 minutes. Having already been given bad information about delivery times, we were reluctant to do anything but let them proceed. They arrived at 10:35 to a senior citizen apartment building which was past curfew time. All they acknowledged was that they were there before the deadline. They proceeded to unload until after midnight. Noise complaints were received from other residents. We did an inventory which originally showed two missing boxes. A recount showed three missing boxes. The driver then went around item by item and said there was only one missing box. Since it was after midnight and people were complaining, we signed the document. The next day we unloaded and the original count was correct; there were two missing boxes.

  15. Most Terrible moving company.

This company is very terrible. They cheated customers, come to pick up 6 hrs late than expected, and then spent 12 hrs picking up, most time they do not work, and asked for money and food. They threatened to damage your items if you do not pay money and food for the workers immediately in the middle of pick-up. And then even you paid tip immediately, they still damaged one of most expensive items in my house. I reported to the company, they cheated me that they will pay for replacement, but it will never happen after you calling many, many times. They damaged other 3 most expensive items during transportation and also careless. The great service they can provide is to charge money, and can really move the damaged and useless items to the destination. Very terrible service and cheating company. If you tried their website, you will find it is not a real one. They only have two persons, one is to charge money, and another one is driver who damage your items. Stay away from them. If you get into them by a broker, ask the broker company to change one for you. If a broker pick or recommend such a company for you, the broker is not a good one also. I had experience will such a broker called buget van line, who work with energy moving, such a terrible company, to cheat customers.
