  1. Worst company ever.

They lied about the fees and left our stuff in the street , I would never use that company ever. Then they damage my property told me I needed to call on Tuesday and when I did said they would get back to me in three weeks and never did. Worst movers on the planet.

  2. Terrible company.

Mike gave me a low ball estimate even though I called back several times to go over exactly what was being moved. The day the movers came their 'supervisor' told me it was going to be double what the salesperson had told me. In addition, I had to pay half in cash up front and then the rest upon delivery. We were told they would arrive on Wednesday. They didn't show up until Saturday. Several items were damaged in the move. One of our oriental rugs was not delivered until 4 months later. My husband and I tried several times to get in touch with someone in the office to give us some relief. No one ever got back to us. I wish I had looked at reviews on line before contacting them. Lesson learned. Stay away from this company if you don't want to get ripped off.

  3. Warning to Others - BEWARE.

My move was in July from upstate NY to Carson City, NV. I have been trying to deal with settling direct - but, they are not interested in settlement. Now, 6 months later after offering me $300 for my silence (including a notarized signature), I am filing more formal complaints. First priority is to let other consumers BE AWARE of this companies practices. Setting up appt., getting estimates, checking on costs, went well. Once the actual pick up started, the problems began. To make a long story short:
    - the increase in cost from original estimate was ridiculous and totally unjustified. I had written estimates from other companies based in their physically coming to my home and walking through, evaluating items/size/cartons that were significantly lower (900 cu. ft.). I wanted to be sure the estimate done over the phone was in line with reality. Yet, when Express "finished" loading the truck, they were claimed an even higher amount (additional 600 cu. ft.) from their estimate of 1918 cu. ft. (TOTAL charge based on 2500 cu.ft. - for a 2 bedroom house, no dining room furniture, no sofas, no major appliances). Their justification was that the total items increased by 75 pieces. I asked for it to be re-evaluated and nothing was done. NOTE: estimate was based on 100 large cartons. I used smalls and mediums because large were too big for me to handle. For volume comparison 1 medium + 1 small = 1 large (SAME VOLUME). They dismissed me..
    - be sure to insure for full replacement. I have moved a number of times, nothing major ever happened. This time, there was the usual damages, but, I did not read the fine print and was therefore not fully covered. Somehow, I did not receive the insurance figures they supposedly provided. My fault.
    - What was not my fault was how my property was treated. Boxes marked fragile were literally dropped on the sidewalk approaching out house in front of our eyes while being unloaded. It was as if they were intentionally causing damage.
    - items were to be re-assembled. Be prepared to do it yourself when using this company. They couldn't even figure out how to put a basic bed frame together, insisting that it was not possible (my husband demonstrated that it did indeed go back together - they were too lazy to figure it out, I guess.). Most of the pieces were left unassembled (even though they took them apart) and we had to try to put them together ourselves as we settled in.
-did not show up on day they said they would after calling to confirm. No explanation was given.
-demanded an additional $500 (cash, of course) for what reason, we were never given. Nor did we ever receive a receipt for the additional monies. Eventually, we had to assume it was for "long haul" - but, there was no reason for them not to park in front of our house to unload. (Do not know why they parked 2 houses up the street from our actual residence.) Have never rec'd a receipt.
    Consider this a warning..
Recommendation: DO NOT USE!! CHOSE SOMEONE ELSE.

  4. Horrible experience.

Stephen was the worst salesperson ever. After quoting me a price, he bad mouthed his competitors. A few days later he called to find out if I made a decision. When I said that I chose another company, Stephen got aggressive, shouted at me and then hung up the phone. He was rude and unprofessional. Think twice before considering this company! I wish that I had a chance to read the reviews before taking the call from Stephen.

  5. Completely Misled.

Everything seemed good at first as the representative was very responsive and provided a lot of tips/tricks about relocating, however things turned very wrong once the truck came to pick up my stuff. I was quoted at $2,400 for my 1 bedroom apartment move from Boston to California. I was told that this quote was comprehensive, and include the movers coming into my apartment, disassembling my large furniture, taking it to the truck, driving it to my new apartment, moving it into my new apartment from the truck, and reassembling. This was a blatant lie, because I was charged $170 elevator fee for the movers having to use my large elevator to get to the second floor (there is also a fee for taking stairs, so irregardless there's a fee) and I was told that the movers would measure how far of a walk it is from the truck to my apartment, and charge me a fee based on the difference. My cost is already up to $3,500 (an extra grand that I don't have) and is expected to continue to go up as I will be again charged an elevator and "walking distance" fee upon delivery. I feel completely taken advantage of and stressed out about the financial burden. As if it's not already stressful to make a Coast to Coast move, now I have to come up with money that I never had a change to budget for. I'm staying up at night's thinking about the financial burden. On top of that, I've been trying to contact the moving consultant for 2 days to get an estimated time of delivery so I can notify my apartment complex and get a hold on using the moving elevator, and still haven't received a call back. Forget the actual consultant, their operator won't even pick up the phone. I feel so misled and betrayed.

  6. Lowest Rate.

This company handled my move from Atlanta to Texas. Matt my sales rep was a great guy. My inventory which we did over the phone was spot on. The crew that showed up at pick up was super understanding that I was stressed and packed my TVs and mattresses for me. I had to change my pick up date last minute and Liz and Esther squeezed me in last minute. My five bedroom house was slap full and the got it all loaded in one day. I bought pizza for the guys cause they worked their tails off.

  7. Steer clear.

Let me begin by saying that carrying all my stuff across the country on my back would have caused less stressful than what this company put me through. I requested a quote for a move from NJ to CA on a website only to find out the estimated cost in comparison to using a Uhaul. Express Relocation Systems was one of the first to call me offering a quote. At first, it was a pleasant experience. Naomi spoke extremely highly of her firm and really pushed they were DOT certified (which I later found out means nothing because every truck that rolls down the road has this certification, don't fall for it). I rambled off all of my belongings and she calculated a lowball quote, which I stupidly accepted.

Things soon got much worse. She had told me that I could put up to $1500 on a card and pay the remaining (50% of the total move) in cash at pick-up. I was out of the country when the items were picked up so I gave my mother (who was managing the process for me) enough cash to cover above $1500. A few days prior to the pick-up I called Naomi to process the card and she said the policy changed and they now charge a 5% credit card fee. Being out of the country, it was not an easy thing to manage last minute. I had to have a friend go and put money in their account at Chase bank which was a "one time exception." Naomi even spoke to the owner (Leo) telling him the rules changed halfway through my move and he didn't care - still wanted the 5% fee.

It would soon get worse again. I was told they move slower than most companies which was true. In fact, my items were picked up on June 23rd and weren't delivered in LA until July 18th. Worse, is that I started calling the "dispatch team" the first week of July asking for an ETA of my belongings (not demanding them, just simply so I could plan). I could not get them to call back. When I did get through to someone, a woman named Esther, she took a message saying she needed to talk to the "out of state" dispatcher and still never called me back. This went on for weeks.

Finally, on Sunday, July 17th the driver called me saying he would deliver the items tomorrow. Thankfully I had nothing planned that Monday so I made it work. He said he'd be there at 8 am and to have the money ready. Well, no bank or post office is open on Sunday and most open on Monday at 9 am. I planned on leaving them while they unpacked, running to the bank to get his money, then paying him after the job was done. He refused. The driver was belligerent, swearing like a maniac. I finally went to an ATM and took out the money in a few transactions. He told me I should have gone to Walmart to get a money order - which in the LA area is far far away.

Overall, this company caused me a lot of stress and provided lackluster service at a high price. Don't get swindled. From what I understand they've changed their name a few times, so likely they will again after all these reviews. Do the research before going with this company. There are a lot of providers out there and I wouldn't even recommend this company to my worst enemy.

  8. Had to move quick.

I needed to get out of my apartment in a hurry. express relocation systems was able to get all of my things moved super fast with absolutely zero hassel. when my things arrived to my destination, everything was in perfect order. I couldn't have asked for a better, more professional company to move my things. would totally use again.

  9. Express Relocation is a serious scam, Leo is a fraud.

Express Relocation Services operated in a dishonest and unethical manner. We have plenty of pictures and evidence to illustrate the situation. During the process of relocating my family from NJ to FL, we decided to hire Express Relocation Services, a local NJ company. They provided a quote over the phone based on 601 cubit feet (not inventory piece count) with a rate of $3.45 per cubit feet for a grand total of $2073.45. At the time of pick up, they missed initial pick up window of 12pm-4pm on 6/25/2016. First problem. During the loading process, the Foreman (Sean/Josue) made me aware that he was most likely to use the entire open space on his truck, approximately 1132 cf (5 1/2 line of space available in his truck, this method was use to calculate open space)), this was very odd since we were the second pick up and the first pick up had taken more than double of the estimated space (according to the foreman). After doing some research, I have come to find out that his truck capacity according similar trucks from u-Haul and Penkse is between 1611-1700 CF. Second Problem. We did not use the entire space as the foreman previously predicted (we have pictures of before and after load), at that point I was advised that the load would be recalculated at the warehouse because the load was going to be combined with other loads (other customers) to fill a 53FT trailer, and at that point we would now for sure how much our balance due.Third problem. We called the offices many times after our pick up date to find out our balance due, my wife was coming to FL before me and I have to give her the money to pay the driver upon arrival. We never received a final a response with our total from either Liz, Ester or the owner "Leo", Ester stated many times that our initial estimate did not change, so we were basically double bill for space. Driver Alex showed up to FL demanding $1893 in cash, otherwise we would never see our belongings, stating that redelivery fee would apply.

    Resolution
We are looking for the owner "Leo" to refund a total of $1,641.49 due to over charges. Our amount should have been recalculated to the original estimate (we actually use less space that our estimate according to the pictures taken). We paid a total of $3,904.94, our total should have never exceeded the original estimate of $2073.45 + $190 for packaging supplies for a grand total of $2263.45.

  10. Two time mover.

We used Express relocation systems in the past and were very happy with the service. So of course when we decided to move back to Jersey, we went with Express relocation systems and they did a super job again! The guys worked fast. I will never move by myself again. Overall, we could not have asked for more.

  11. Move from NJ to FL.

Worst moving experience ever. They quote $2700 and then the movers come and pack the truck and say its $5600. Paid half there because we had no choice. Delivery was worse. The drivers were late so our building wouldn't let them in past our alloted time. Tried to call back several times to Leo (supposedly the owner) who screams and curses at you on the phone and refuses to work with you. He said the only course of action was to pay him the full amount and then move it ourselves from his storage unit. He is the worst businessman I have ever encountered, and I cannot imaging him staying in business long. If I could give negative stars I would, they don't even deserve 1 star. Also please realize that they do not move your stuff for you. They are a middle man who hires a third party to do it for you. Any reviewing stating otherwise is fabricated.

  12. Good People.

On Time, professional, accurate estimate. These guys moved my parents from MA to FL for me. Every member of their team from the representative on the phone to the driver of the truck did a great job. The only thing that cost me extra was a TV box. (I added the TV last minute). LIz was great she had answers to all my questions and really made me feel at ease. CALL EXPRESS FOR YOUR INTERSTATE MOVE!! You wont regret it.

  13. Bottom Feeders.

They quoted me $1,800 from Ashland, Ma to Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Then asked me what would be the last possible date. Well after they had loaded all my stuff onto the truck then said $4,500. Heck I was closing out my apartment later that day. I took a new job in Georgia so asked about storage. The manager told me okay for $150 a month in Ga. Great but when I called to have it delivered they told me $500 Wow what happened I asked Esther Pein 877-748-8080 tells me they had changed to the summer pricing with no notice. After setting a delivery date I was told they would be there by 11:00 am, well they did show @ 9:00 pm and had lefted out bringing one of my Queen size mattress and two end tables lamps wait but this guy @ the company called me to say I had to pay up front are they would not give me my stuff. The three delivery guys made me a promises to bring the next day , well that was last week they also never put my formal dinner table back together. When I call Esther back and asked for the owners contact let's say (FU) is what I got.. Take my words unless you are looking for Cat-Fish run past these Bottom Feeders.

  14. Was moving from PA to NY.

The worst thing that ever happened to us. Company did price estimation based on electronically provided inventory. All details were discussed over phone. On the day of moving the track showed up at 4 pm instead of scheduled 8am to 12pm. Instead of expected 4 movers, they sent only 3. The first thing they told us that we must pay extra because they think we have more stuff. And this is after ridding off 5 large furniture pieces included in initial inventory. We immediately tried to contact the management, but they were not picking up. We spoke to dispatcher who sounded very rude and unprofessional. After so many lies we lost the trust our stuff was safe with this company and had to stop our moving with this company. Basically they ruined our moving. So if you ever come across with this company just know they are SCAM and do not waste your time.

  15. Terrible Company - Even Worse Customer Service.

This is the worst moving company. If I could give 0 stars, I would. They constantly lie to you - do NOT believe the sales people. It took 5 days longer to get our belongings and the company will never answer their phones. They told us they don't outsource, which is a total lie - it is NOT a family run business, like they try to make you believe. Your quote will be at least $1000 less than the ending cost. The movers were 6 hours late to pick up our belongings at origination and 12 hours late at the drop-off, which was done at midnight! There is NO organization in this company - they couldn't tell us where our belongings were. They don't work on weekends and if you try to talk to the manager (the owner), he screams at you for 5 minutes and then hangs up. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DO NOT BELIEVE THE SALES PEOPLE. EVERYONE LIES.
