  1. Nightmare Company.

Terrible experience August. 4 I left Chicago, didn't get my storage items, till August 21st and they broke my TV and I was missing storage bins. Never able to contact Joshua no one ever answers the phone, on hold for 45 minutes then the phone hangs up and then you can try to recoup money for your belongings. Nothing, wrote letter to the company, emailed a million times nothing. I reported them to the BBB. But its not worth suing them for what I lost. I tried their claim department but they no longer work with them. This company is a nightmare a true nightmare. 11/6/2018- I finally got in touch with someone and they put me on hold with that trashy music they have, I am so distraught I hate being put on hold and hearing that music with other companies!!

  2. Extremely poor service.

I had a nightmarish experience with EZ moving group, Wheeling, IL in Aug 2018. I wish to share my story with everybody so that nobody else hires them and suffers like me.

We recently moved from Chicago to Houston. We got quotes from multiple movers, one of them was the EZ moving group. The agent from EZ moving group, Joshua seemed really understanding and reachable( only till he got my job) who assured us great service, so we decided to go with them. I told him precisely about my stuff and that I was staying on the second floor of my building. Also, my address clearly mentioned apt # 2E. I repeatedly told him about the stairs which he confirmed he was giving it for free. Also, my estimate didn't have any charge for the stairs, so I believed him. I even asked him for an in-home inspection for a more accurate estimate, but Joshua insisted that they are professionals and with my given information, he was pretty sure of the estimate. His company guys will take just 2 hours to pack the stuff. The deal was to disassemble everything in Chicago, pack it and take to Texas, assemble everything there. This being our first move and we were still working, we kind of believed the agent and moving company.

Finally, the day of the move arrived. The guys arrived on time but looking at 2 flight of stairs they said they will have to charge $ 300 extra. I told him about my estimate and discussion with the agent but he didn't agree. I tried reaching the same agent, Joshua who was not working that day and the other agent said he can't help me. We had our flight tickets booked for the day following tomorrow. Also, our old parents and 2 yr old kid was with us. At this point to talk to a new mover was really impossible. So we agreed with them and asked them to start packing. The company guys disassembled the furniture and packed everything well. We appreciated that. However, our estimate changed from $1760 to $3407, which was a complete shock to us. We even questioned what is the point of having an estimate if the final cost is going to be double. But at this point, we really were tired and just went ahead with it ( PAID 70% COST). The 1st date of delivery on the bill of lading was mentioned after 7 days (08/09/2018).

The following week I tried to reach my agent, Joshua but to my surprise, I was never able to reach him as he was still on vacation. I explained everything to the other agent who said he will talk to his manager and give me a callback. Neither he or his manager even once called me back. I tried to reach the other agent again but no luck. In fact, I even tried to reach the customer service for ETA, but to my surprise, I was not able to reach anybody. They just stopped picking up my phone call. After 10 Aug, my family started panicking as we were unavailable to reach our mover in last 10 days, especially with 2 yr old with us. We must have tried to call the mover at least 50 times and send him emails but nobody from the mover company was reachable. In fact, by 15 Aug, we decided that if we didn't hear from them in a couple of days, we should go to the police. We understand things getting delayed, but just no customer service is unacceptable.

Finally, on Aug 16, we got a phone call from the moving company that our stuff will get delivered on Aug 17 between 11 to 1. We breathed a sigh of relief. On the day of delivery, nobody showed up till 1 pm, not even a phone call. At 1.30 pm, I got a phone call from the same driver saying he will be coming by 3 pm. I were already tired of the company and wanted this thing to just get over. He finally came and started unloading. He said he will move all furniture to its proper location and assemble it once he unloads everything. After he finished unloading, he said he and his colleague were really hungry and would like to eat some food before he started assembling the furniture. Out of Humanity n good faith, we allowed him to go to the nearest food plaza and return back in 40 minutes. He assured to us that he and his colleague will surely return and also all the furniture was still covered in their blankets which they had to take back with them. Not even once it crossed our mind, that these guys would not return. After 2 hrs when they didn't return, I tried calling back the driver who never answered. I tried reaching the customer service who as always was not reachable. That night I just left everything the way it was. I was really embarrassed in front of my parents as it was so difficult for me to explain to them how the company guys just ran away without assembling and moving the furniture.

Next day morning, I gathered my senses and called up a few friends. They agreed to come over to help me assemble and move my furniture. It took us 3 days to get everything in place.

We had checked the licensing credentials of the moving company. We went ahead with them as everything looked ok. But still, we had to go through this ordeal. Please do not hire these guys even if they agree to work for free. Forget the estimate (money part), but such a poor customer service is totally unacceptable. I am going to make sure I report them to right authorities.

This was the most traumatic moving experience of my life!!

  3. Thieves.

These people are THIEVES. They DO NOT DO WHAT THEY PROMISE! Due to a construction project coming to a close, I needed to move from Indiana to Michigan. I was quoted $1,000, which was the lowest estimate I got. They wanted a $100 deposit, to which they charged my credit card. This was June 1. On June 5, my plans changed and informed EZ Moving that I would not be moving and to please issue a refund. I was told by the rep that a refund would be issued within 72 hours. I was asked to send an email confirming the cancellation. I sent the email. The refund has yet to be issued and it is June 20. I have talked to them a few times and the answers are the same; "I'll escalate it to a manager." They have not answered my emails. Today they answered my call and just sent me from this person to the next, then hung up. Now they aren't answering my calls.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY! Check the Better Business Bureau website first as there are complaints and many negative reviews.

  4. Didn't even show up!

We had a 9:00 appointment set up for this morning and they didn't even show up. Didn't call or anything. We attempted several times to contact them but to no avail. To say I'm pissed is an understatement.

  5. Nope nope nope.

We had stuff for a family of five moving to Texas and we had given them all of the estimates beforehand. They made moving extremely inconvenient and a hassle. A. They rescheduled at the last moment, B. came with a truck full of stuff already C. ended up with less space leaving stuff behind.

We asked them if they could move the stuff around to make space and they just did not want to move what was already in the truck. We told them that we had extra large boxes and they thought that they were 'small boxes'. Extremely unpleasant experience. Won't ever call these guys ever gain.

  6. Don't make the same mistake I did!

We hired this company to help load our moving truck. First off 3 of them were late. The one guy who was on time was mad because we had a lot of boxes and it was his birthday so he really didn't want to work. Finally the other 3 guys showed up and tey aren't even professional movers but day labor who get paid by the hour. We thought with 4 guys and the 3 hours we paid for that the truck would be laoded except for a few last things we would put in. No they were about halfway in there time and none of the furniture was put on the truck. When I told them that they said what are you talking about we stay until the job was done. I called the office number and talked to Derek. I got a completely different story then what I signed up for. The guys complained about not getting a lunch break, apparently Derek told them to take a lunch break so I had to pay for them to stay longer and the job wasn't finished, we ended up get friends and neighbors to help with loading. The guys never dismantled any furniture the just took it as was on a dolly, banging down the steps on putting it on the truck. When we unloaded the truck, there was so much damage. I took pictures and emailed them. Now I can't get a hold of the local office that we used. When I call it just rings. I thought I was doing a good thing to take some stress off my family during this move but instead I just have a bigger headache and lost furniture and personal items that can't be replaced and more money out of my pocket.

  7. Excellent Service.

    Dear Sirs,
Thank you so very much for sending to my home such wonderful packers as the two gentleman who came on Monday.  They were very capable and hard-working, and they were also extremely pleasant to have around.  I could not have been happier with them and their performance. I will definitely be contacting you guys again for my next move.

  8. Lazy Nasty Company.

We called and book the moving company on Monday. Well today was the day they were supposed to come. When they got here, they were all drunk and very high cursing and indeed very very rude. Fake want to be Bill Gates came in smelling like trash. Clothing was just filthy and nasty, very dirty. They came in and was here 45 minutes and had only moved one bed. Then when we spoke to the lady who had book them, she said let me talk to them. She did and told them to set our bed on the lawn and leave before they left. They had stolen a bunch of stuff from us and also while leaving they were cursing and yelling out the window, they were very nasty. I swear never ever use this company, nasty [EDIT] company with a bunch of bums for movers. Just trust me when I say if you want to see a bunch of crack heads call ex moving labor.

  9. Horrible experience.

Do NOT use these people.  They seem to just be a scheduling service for random people to come to your house.  They gave me a 2 hour window for people to arrive but said they should be there at the beginning.  At the end of the window I began to call and no one answered.  Finally after an hour I received a call saying that people were "sick" and that they had to contact a different service that "should be there in 30 mins."  They did refund my deposit but the stress and frustration is worth way more. Horrible experience!

  10. Do not use this company!! Thieves!!

This was the absolute worst experience with movers I have ever had! The movers (Thomas Frazer and Dakota Crowley) are unethical, unprofessionall, incompetent and thieves! They STOLE an emerald ring and a necklace that was in the bedroom (Police report filed). I confronted them, but of course they denied it. When I asked the company what they were going to do about it, they said they couldn 't do anything because I couldn't prove it and because the laborers are independent contractors. My husband and I had to repack the entire truck  ourselves because they did a terrible job and didn't know what they were doing.  They were very unprofessional! Similar to other reviews, the guys immediately talked about how much they disliked management and how they weren't paid enough. They smoked on the job and one guy brought his wife and baby! I will NEVER use this company again!!

  11. Excellent Compay and Customer Service.

I scheduled my move the night before, online, after hours. I received a phone call 30 minutes before my time. I initially scheduled for and I thought they were going to tell they couldn't do it. Turns out they were on they're way to me and introducing themselves to me before they got there. They showed up early and ready to work. The crew got finished before my scheduled time was up and they assisted me with putting my kids' beds together. Thank you EZ Moving Labor.

  12. EZ Labor Movers.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. Extremely poor communication between movers and management company. When the movers showed up they had awful appearance, they were both smoking a ciggerette. They told me I owed them more than I was orginally quoted, and then the proceeded to cuss durring the entire move about the management company. Including use the F@!# towards me. They just stacked all of my boxes up in my dining room even though I paid for a full service move, including stacking the fragile boxes on top of one another, and they were clearly marked.  I will never recommend them to anyone. The only good thing I can say about them is that they showed up on time. .

  13. Great Company. Will Definitely Use Them Again.

When I called I booked with Derrick. He had a pleasant voice. He made me feel confident about my moving experience. He gave me the run down, sent me a service agreement and on the day of my move the movers contacted me an hour before the scheduled time, as I was told I would be, by Derrick. They made sure I was ready to go and loaded up my truck fast and everything made it to it's destination in one piece. Thank you EZ Moving Labor.

  14. Zero Customer Service.

My first moving "crew" told me that they had a flat tire, then they stopped answering their phone. When I called Derrick at EZMOVINGLABOR.NET, he could not reach them either.

The second crew they sent came two hours later and worked hard, but the company appears to just be an interface between day laborers and those of us who want help moving.

Derrick took no responsiblity for his first crew's failure and attempted to justify the situation by pointing out that the second crew did come.

I will not use this company again.
