Moving 2011 Sioux City.
Not sure where to begin. We were forced to move from our home due to Missouri River flooding. I-Go managed to wreck nearly all of our furniture. What wasn’t mold infested was scratched and scarred so severely that repairs took well over a year. Mr. Nogg was not sympathetic in the least.
Cannot Recommend.
Of five lifetime cross country moves, I-Go Van was by far my worst experience. I'll try to be factual with my review.
1. We agreed to an original estimate, but I-Go revised it upward. We attempted to delete items from our move, but received no response from the estimator. Very expensive!
2. I-Go assured us about their capabilities to move our baby grand piano. They loaded it onto the truck and drove it cross country. Upon arrival, the movers informed us that they were not responsible for moving the piano into our house and left it in the driveway. I called I-Go for assistance, but they argued that our contract did not include moving the piano into the house. We had to hire a local mover to finish the job. It's difficult to imagine that a contract says they will move the piano across the country but not into the house. Very confusing.
3. The packers wrapped small objects, like picture frames, egg cups, tiny bowls in packing paper and threw them into large boxes. We had to carefully search through each and every scrap of wrapping paper to avoid accidentally throwing items away. I've never seen anyone pack like that.
4. There was little organization to the packing. Kitchen items were packed in boxes with living room items, etc. They wrapped everything in paper (no dish packs), which was cumbersome to unpack (see #3). To quote my wife, "This is a nightmare. I wish that I had packed it myself."
5. They packed a clay sculpture into a cardboard box with no reinforcements. It arrived as you would expect, smashed to bits. It was a present from my sister. Bummer.
6. We recently learned that three of our boxes were delivered to another address. We moved seven month ago! Funny that the driver claimed all boxes were unloaded and accounted for. Hopefully, we will see our stuff one day.
7. Our complaints were met with explanations of how many years of experience I-Go's team possesses, as if that would somehow make us feel better. It didn't.
As I said in the beginning, I've moved cross country five times. I've hired local movers at least a dozen times. This was by far our worst experience. I would characterize it as amateurish. The worst part is that our complaints have been met with anger and denial by the company owners. Sad..very sad.
Needless to say, I cannot recommend I-Go Van & Storage.
