Horrible
Move distance 225 miles. Estimate for small move with no furniture or large items $1823. Actual cost over $5000. Showed up late at night to load truck. Coerced by driver to pay extra cash directly to him to “save money.” Shady as hell. Boxes arrived broken, crushed. Too many broken valuables to count. Missing a LOT of items. Repeated calls made trying to find missing items. They never get back to you after taking information. Now the phone number is temporarily out of order. DO NOT do business with this company.
Michael Korman is the biggest scam artist and horrible person
Do not ever use this company associated with Michael Korman or his associates. A complete scam and a waste of your money, like all the other reviews of them breaking your stuff and stealing your money---its the exact kind of person he is. He will run straight with your money to blow it on him or the strip club he frequents to pick up whatever scum of the earth he can. He's that kind of low life. Save your money and use someone reliable---someone less trashy and knows how to have integrity. This kid is a KID and a waste of space.

After getting a quote and paying a deposit, another rep called me a few days before pickup and increased my price by over $1000. I had to cancel my scheduled move. They were rude and tried to lecture me when I was cancelling. They tried to deny me a refund, till I pointed out that it was within the 48hrs so I'm entitled to a refund. They agreed to give me 90% of my deposit. It has been almost a month and I haven't received it yet. They don't respond to emails and when I call they give me the same runner around about it being processed.

Ended up paying several times the initial amount quoted and three items were lost and about 70% of remaining were damaged in some way. Absolutely no response from IMS when asking for their assistance in resolving these issues. I paid these people over $1,700 to make a phone call to get me a mover and the mover they set me up with was a disaster. I have attached the letter I sent to both parties and received no response from either one.

This is a review against Independent Moving Solutions (IMS) for failing to follow through on their contract. This is a moving company that has scammed many of clients. They took my money and then hired another moving company to pick up and deliver my goods, some of which are deeply personal being from my deceased father and sister.
It's been over 3 1/2 months since I moved from San Francisco to Wisconsin to be with my elderly mother who recently suffered from a stroke. I hired IMS to move
$10,000 worth of my furniture and personal belongings and nothing has been delivered.

As of today’s date (12/20/20) I have received none of furniture and personal belongings. Including paintings my deceased sister made for me.
They brokered my move out to Konami Moving & Storage who picked up my furniture and personal belongings on 9/2/2021 from my home in San Francisco, CA supposedly to be delivered to my new home in Milwaukee, WI. Again, the furniture and personal belongings have not been delivered as of 12/20/2020. The contract states that they have 30 business days to deliver from pickup date. They have never contacted me or answered my calls since picking up my belongings. Neither company responses to calls or emails.
This situation has cost me financially as I have had to purchase/replace necessary items to work from my home, to sleep, for my health and other basic needs such as clothing. It has also cost me emotional distress and has distracted me from helping to take care of my 93-year-old mother. I have spent innumerable hours on the phone and with emails trying to resolve this matter with both IMS and Konami. I have been placing on hold many times for 40-50 minutes at a time and then hung up on

WORST Company Ever!!! Scammers
I literally called in less than 2 hours to stop contract and ask that I get a 48 hour grace period on my quote. Even though I was told by “Josh” and the customer service that they would put a hold on the transaction they took my $$$$$ anyway. Not only did they take my money but they won’t return my calls. I spoke to “Josh Miller” once since they took my $$$$$. He promised me he would call me back in 10 minutes to resolve the issue. He also hung up on me claiming that he had “ bad signal” and couldn’t hear me clearly. Clearly that’s a ploy. None of their 24 hour customer service numbers are working and nobody has returned any of my emails or phone calls. They are SCAMMERS. It’s a pandemic and people’s financial situations are in dire straits. To take advantage of someone who is clearly in need at a time like this is behind disgusting. Do not use this business, they aren’t a business they are a front. Never in my life have I ever been taken advantage of like this. Please report them and get them taken out of business. They are the absolute WORST experience I’ve ever had. DO NOT USE THEM.
Don't use, terrible company
They just stole about $2000. worth of items, could care less about finding them or returning someone else's box. Lots of damaged boxes, couldnt file a claim, The claims no longer handled claims from them. Horrible company to deal with. Scammers!!!

They pass the buck
The date for pick up had to change a few times because of bad weather -- no problem. However, when I was finally given a date and time, it was wrong. When it came to delivery, I was given an estimate and arranged for someone to be there. Delivery was actually made FOUR days later with no notice. We were then charged $100 an hour extra while a friend scrambled to get there. The final bill ended up being $800 over the estimate! Lastly, I haven't finished unpacking yet, but several pieces of furniture are broken.

company took our money. never showed up and won't refund. They've trained Jessica barnett to be as unhelpful and ugly as she can be and to give all sorts of lame excuses of why they get to keep you money for no service. I am reaching out to the Attorney General's office and will file suit if anyone wants to join in.
Company is a RIP OFF
A dishonest company, they lied and held me, hostage, to unload furniture, would not provide documentation when asked and refuse to speak with me. Plus damage my furniture, home and lost some of my stuff. Stay away!

Don’t work with them, they just want tour money and don’t care about helping you fix any issues. They lost my items and have no care or concern to be helpful in finding them.

Independent Moving Solutions rep Eric Katz was all about getting the contract and deposit and calling me regularly. I was assured that he would be with me every step of the way. I paid a deposit and scheduled a date for pickup. The company called a day early for pickup, I told them they couldn't pickup until the next day which was the scheduled date. On October 26, 2020 an Enterprise truck showed up to load my furniture in Gilbert,Az. The name of the company on the invoice was Konami Moving and Storage. They have locations in Denver, CO and Las Vegas, NV. They asked what the earliest day they could deliver and I told them October 30, 2020. The next day I got in my car for the 4 day trip to Atlantic Beach, Florida the destination of my move. On October 29, 2020 I began to call Independent Moving Solutions for an update on my delivery and suddenly can't get anyone to answer the phone. When I finally did a day later I find out there is no Eric Katz and they have no update on my furniture. I then began to call Konami Moving and storage. I spent 20-30 minutes on hold only to get a recording and leave a message response. When someone did finally answer I was told that my furniture was in storage in Las Vegas, NV and they are waiting for a truck to come to Florida. They said by law they have 7-21 days to fill the manifest. I asked if that meant I would receive my furniture 21 days from the original delivery date of October 30, 2020. I was told no they don't know when they will have a truck, any other questions I asked they had no answer for. It was like they were reading from a script. I have paid a total of $1600 so far and am to pay them $868 upon delivery. I am a 68 year old lady currently sleeping in an empty apartment on an air mattress since October 30th. My whole life of memories and pictures are in that truck. Please help me get my stuff back. I do not have the funds to buy new furniture or to replace lifelong memories.

This company is a scam please don’t use them. We moved in March and it is now November 2020. We still do not have our furniture, nor do we have any idea where our furniture is. They farm the work out to shady contractors. We have paid around $20,000 and do not have any of our furniture and cannot get the contractor, Giovanni Van Lines, to bring our possessions or even give us a date as to the delivery. This is a whole criminal enterprise that preys on people.
Moving Nightmare.
Very poor customer service and poor communication. Staff is very nice at time of booking until you sign the contract. After that, no one contacts you to give you information about your booking. Staff is rude, deliberately hung up on me twice when I tried to get information about my pick up time. She told me she was going to hang up the phone because she was through with me! After several phone calls, I finally received a pick up time between 9am-11am. The driver called my husband @11:45 am to say he was 5-6 hours away and won't arrive at my place until late evening. This company has no regards for customers so beware!
