  1. They are crooks and liars!!

I call the BBB and consumer affairs to report this company because the movers scratched my dining table and dropped my 65 inch tv. I tried several times to resolve the issue however it did not happen. The lady in the office claim to be a believer…but is a liar. “ you reap what you sow”

  2. Don't use! Please read

This company is not reputable, highly unprofessional. The movers came and didn't bring any supplies.. no shoe coverings or shrink wrap. One of the movers a 17 year old kid banged my wooden ladder shelf down 3 flights of stairs banging all the way with no padding. They damaged my white wooden night stand. They dragged dirt into my house and left garbage. They also took down my TV wall mount and never gave me back the screws. This moving company is a joke. I honestly could have hired guys off the street for the poor quality of work at a much cheaper price

  3. Mochas Moving, Fort Lauderdale

DON’T USE THIS COMPANY! It took Dante and Tommy 8 hours to move items for a one bedroom apartment. Firstly, they arrived two hours late, which resulted in them arriving at my condo building too late to move the contents (of a truck that was barely 1/3rd full) before the truck had to leave the parking lot as per condo association rules. While Tommy was trying to find a spot to park the truck on the road, the other mover Dante (who was efficient) had his hands tied because he couldn’t move anything by himself.

When they arrived, Tommy didn’t even get out of the truck for about half an hour, although the 4 hours I had booked them for, had started rolling. He took an extraordinarily long bathroom break. Lots of talking. Arguing as to how best to do things.

Granted there were challenges since I had two pickup points (a storage unit and a house), and most of the furniture couldn’t fit into the elevator. This resulted in them having to carry my furniture up two flights of stairs. I was informed that they had to carry furniture up 6 flights of stairs the previous day. Clearly, although Dante was willing, Tommy couldn’t be of much help. The man looked tired from the moment he arrived.

One piece of furniture they couldn’t get up the stairs. I had to promise them a big tip (literally gave them all the cash I had on me, amounting to $140) to try and get them to continue the job since Dante would constantly threaten to quit. This with my belongings sitting on the street outside their truck.

They undertook to dump two pieces of furniture that they couldn’t carry/got in. After they left, building security informed me that they had thrown one piece over a railing from the second floor in order to break it and put it in the building trash (which is not permissible), and they simply left the other piece at the entrance to the building. I then had to pay another company more than $200 to move it for me.

Mg total cost for this move was $376 up front (for four hours) plus $600 (for 4 additional hours) plus $75 extra due to a long carry, plus the $140 tip. That totals almost $1200, plus I had to pay another company to remove the pieces they had simply left behind.

As if this wasn’t enough, every single piece of furniture they brought is badly scratched, even those that were wrapped, andsmallinsize. Boxes were treated with disrespect and items broken.

May I add, everything was prepared prior to their arrival, for simple pickup. They took 8 hours to move a king size bed, coffee table, two 2’ bookshelves, two lamp tables, one sofa, a mirror, a small round dining table, a 6 seater dining table, a chest of drawers and two rugs. Also boxes.

And this cost me $1,400+ excluding damages.

  4. Non responsive owners and overall terrible company.

Negative 10 is a good rating.Told Charles I needed a 12 hour move, and he scheduled 10. The pity of it is Charles moved stuff from storage to a one car garage approx. a year ago for me so HE WAS most familiar with the items to be moved. He remembered the move when we spoke therefore he knew the scope of just the garage alone, plus the house. Movers showed up at 1:30 pm after already working 6 1/2 hours and milked me for 6 hours of overtime. They didn’t use ramp just fricking truck lift all night long and into the morning hours. Crew had no hustle, broke a recliner and dropped a piece of my headboard with drawers which now drag. Didn’t wrap things and used my tools to disassemble and reassemble furniture. Movers did not know how to disassemble bed with drawers beneath mattress so, lucky me I got to pay for on the job training. When the movers arrived so lateI called Charles to express my extreme displeasure and all I got from him were excuses. I told him I wanted to speak to someone in management and he told me there was no one he was it ! Post move I tried to reach owner, on at least 3 occasions, over the last 6 days in an attempt to make this right, got crickets. RUN FAST AND FAR from this company! My next stop is the BBB and my credit card company, not only did they bilk me for tons of overtime they didn’t finish the job, I had to hire another company to finish. Lead guy whined and complained through the move that he couldn’t get items through doorways.

  5. Awful Management.

Over the course of a week, I spoke with Charles in Orlando about my upcoming move. He seemed incredibly personable on the phone, so I decided to go with them. I am beginning to wish I didn't.

When we booked the move, Charles told me that we would start my move between 10am - noon. He even told me that the movers would show up closer to the 10am side of the window because it was a slower day. I showed up at the house early that morning to get everything I could staged and ready for the movers. Charles calls me about 10:30am and tells me that the movers are at another move and my new window is now noon - 2pm. Around 2pm, I call back and Charles says the movers aren't finished with the 1 bedroom apartment yet. Then it's 3:30pm, and I start calling because I'm ready to cancel the move and get a UHaul and try to do it myself. I am a disabled vet and am willing to try to move a 5bedroom house myself because I feel like I could have it done by the time the movers even showed up.

As I'm calling at 3:30pm, Charles stops answering my calls. In fact - To this day, I haven't had Charles answer the phone, call me back, or respond to my emails.

The movers finally showed up just before 4pm, to START a 5 bedroom house move.

When I talked to Charles on the phone to set this move up, I even upsold myself and asked to have another mover help because I knew we had a lot of stuff. I was weary because I wasn't sure that all of our items would fit on the truck and Charles over and over insisted that everything would fit and even went as far as to say, "This is the biggest truck you can drive before you need a CDL, We'll make it fit".

So, the movers start moving our things and pack the truck to the ceiling - Come to find out, it doesn't all fit. We had an entire garage that was left at the house, the kitchen table, the master bedroom's furniture..

At this point, it took 4 hours to get the truck loaded and we head to the new house. The guys are already tired. It's 8pm, they've been working since 6am. They are apparently become less and less careful with our belongings. Our coffee table was taken off a 4 wheel dolly, stood on its side, then swiveled to fit into the doorway, while scratching the face on the concrete. Our playroom shelves, are so wobbly, that we can't even put them up anymore because they'll just fall right down. Our dining room table, that was noted was probably the most important piece of furniture in the house, was walked right into the corner of the drywall, leaving a nice dent. The gymnastics beam was placed on top of everything in the truck, which then scratched and ripped the fabric on the roof, down the entire beam.

These are the things we have found so far, but they will make sure to make you sign a release as soon as you want that clock punched stating no damages were caused from the move.

This company is money hungry. They don't care about you and they don't care about your belongings. Just because you found a Groupon for them, doesn't mean that's what the cost will be. If you are looking to do a large move, 3 br house or more, this is not the company for you. You will end up spending over a grand like I did, and half of your stuff will be at the original home.

Charles, when you read this, just know I don't want anything from you, but if I can help someone overlook your company and not fall for your lies over the phone, I'll be happy. You're a cheat and based on the reviews I see on this page, it doesn't seem like too many others are happy with you or your company either.

TLDR; The movers will show up 5-6 hours late. You will pay FAR more than you expected. Your belongings will be trashed. Charles will simply laugh at your emails while he counts your money. Find another moving company, you'll be glad you did.

  6. Terrible!

This is not a legitimate business. They charge you a ton of hidden fees. Then the owner just repeats himself over and over again when you try to seek help and is extremely unkind. The staff is completely unprofessional. The movers were reckless and damaged many things. I gave them multiple chances to make the situation right but I never got any help. Nor did I ever even so much as recieve an appology. All I got was a grown man screaming in my face like a toddler throwing a tantrum.

  7. Go somewhere else.

I hired them to do a one bedroom move. They did not pack or wrap anything up! Now, almost everything is scratched up or completely ruined!

  8. Ocoee area movers dropped my fridge!

I chose this company after finding them on Groupon. They never verified my voucher, and still charged me an extra $200 that was not included on the Groupon. Shady but I agreed to the extra charge cause I just wanted to get the move done.

Day of the movers themselves were polite and hard workers. However their attentiveness is questionable at best as evidenced by the fact they rolled their hand truck off the walkway and into the grass at my old house, which caused them to drop my 1 year old Stainless Steel fridge face first in my driveway. At the new house they were worried about the clearance of the front door and tried to get me to remove the fridge doors, which is when I noticed they’d dented and scraped up the stainless handles pretty significantly. They eventually were able to get the fridge in without further incident (though they still made me personally remove my front door), and when all was said and done we got everything moved. Upon finalizing paperwork I asked the movers what happens if I sign off for no damages before I’ve had a chance to check the fridge properly and was assured if I encountered any damage to call the office and they’d take care of it. Sure enough after they left and I had to move my fridge into place myself I discovered the freezer was no longer closing properly as I felt the cold air on the side of the door and observed everything defrosting. I called the office as instructed that same night and filled out the damage claim.

The company did get back to me about a week later and informed me that the movers involved did acknowledge they dropped the fridge so they’d be willing to cover the scratches and dents, but won’t cover the freezer at all because I signed their paperwork that I wasn’t aware of any damage before they left.

This is clearly a company that doesn’t care about the position it puts their employees in and prevents them from doing the right thing to save a buck. I don’t understand how you can be allowed to acknowledge you dropped an appliance and did cause damage but refuse to cover the full damages you know you caused simply due to paperwork. If you use this company I sincerely hope they either take better care of your belongings, or you make sure to refuse to sign off on their paperwork until you’ve fully unpacked your house and had a chance to thoroughly inspect all of your belongings.

  9. Awful.

Terrible company. Moved on 4/15, movers were nice but after reporting damage on 4/30, I was told they would follow up within 30 days. So 30 days later and nothing so I called (5/30), they told me that some how the claim was over looked. So after they reviewed it while I was on the phone, they calculated the damages and told me since they do payouts at then end of the month and they were already processed I’d have to wait to the next month (June). Called again several times looking for an update to fine out that they haven’t sent out any payouts as the business isn’t financially unstable and not doing well. And there was also no guarantee I would get paid! So pissed $250 in damages that now I won’t get back!! STAY AWAY.

  10. Best Move Ever!

They did an amazing job from start to finish. Price was perfect for my budget. I highly recommend!! This was hands down by far my best move ever!

  11. JoChas Moving nightmare!!

The worst moving company ever, they sent two guys that had no common sense at all, a move that should had taken 3 hrs, took 5 hrs because of their lock of work ethic and common sense. My furniture and wood floors were damage and the company did not take responsibility for damages, they are unprofessional and absolutely have no respect for their customers, all they want is your money. Do yourselves a favor and do not hire this nightmare of a company. Beware!!

  12. Worst Moving Company Ever.

I would not recommend JoChas Moving Company. The company damaged our $1400 dining room set during our move and did nothing to compensate us for the damage. A claim was filed promptly as per directions from the movers, whom did not want to take responsibility for damaging the table. After weeks of unanswered calls and unreturned voicemails, JoChas finally spoke with us and told us they would give us $30 to repair the table ourselves, assuming we had the tools and experience to do so. We were told a check in the small amount of $30 would be mailed to us. Weeks later and we still have not received anything. Our move was in April and it is now August. This company is unprofessional and lacks the communication skills required to run a company. It is apparent that they have no respect for their clients and are only interested in completing a move, taking your money and moving on, whether or not you are satisfied with the job they have done. I will not be using this company again for my moving needs and will advise friends and family against using such a careless company.

  13. **AVOID, especially the Tampa crew**.

Let me start out by saying this- I have moved a lot in my life and thus have experienced many different moving companies, a few good, a few not so good.. I did not think it was possible to be as AWFUL as these guys were. It would be comical, if so much of our stuff wasn't destroyed..

We used these guys to move our office a few month ago. For starters, they sent two guys, both with limited logical abilities, but one with zero common sense or work ethic. One of the guys spent more time on the phone with his girlfriend/wife planning their night and complaining about how heavy things were than actually working, which left the other guy.. the one with a little work ethic to do things on his own. As a result of this, our small 900 square foot office move took 4.5 hours!

I basically have a photo album full of photos of damaged items. We are not super picky, mind you, we understand that things may get a little scuffed or get a few scratches during a move. That's the price of moving, right? Well, these guys managed to DESTROY things. Almost every piece of furniture was damaged. We had have to have an upholstery company repair two arm chairs that were torn. At one point, one guy (the one that actually worked) was trying to move a desk on his own, he lost control and put it through the wall before it hit the floor, severely damaging two things in one swift move. Impressive.. or not..

No big deal, because they're insured, right? HAHAHAHA! Well, they pay $0.60 per pound and don't cover anything constructed of particle board. Well, the desk that they put through the wall and rendered unusable, even though it was a $1000 desk from an office furniture company and not a $60 Ikea desk, the core was MDF, which they consider particle board so it was not covered, period. While I spoke with the Jochas guy that does insurance claims he agreed that it was not right, but they were still not paying out on it. He also said during our conversation, "this why I don't give my contact information out, a lot of people in Florida are armed."

They are used to being hated and they don't care because people keep hiring them. Do yourself a favor.. DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS!

  14. $750 worth of damage.. $11 offer! BEWARE!

If I could leave 0 stars, I would! This company has some of the worse customer service I have ever experienced!
One of the movers was great but the other was a complete buffoon. Within 15 minutes of starting the process, he broke a vase of mine. I didn't make too much of a fuss about that though. The main reason for the review is because as he was TOSSING my packed items down the stairs of this townhome, he managed to break the railing off of the wall. I hear him telling his bosses that it wasn't his fault when he called them but he didn't have the consideration to apologize or take responsibility for this damage. Once complete, I filed a damage claim, expecting this to be a quick and efficient process, as the mover assured me it would be. Instead, I was told to get my own independent quote for repair as they "do not have anyone on staff capable of doing that type of work." After submitting photos and misc. other information requested, I was told to "be patient." I was then offered $11 dollars as compensation! The movers claimed that the railing had been damaged before and that it was poorly re-attached and that it fell off when he barely touched it! How ridiculous! I have called their offices many times and have yet to speak to anyone about my experience. They chose to take the word of a mover, who by their own admission, is not an expert at wall repair/railings rather than speaking to their PAYING (yes, they still charged me full price for the move) customer. WORSE BUSINESS I'VE EVER HIRED! BEWARE!!

  15. Worst moving company ever.

I wish I couldn't give ANY stars!! These (I want to say a different word) people are the WORSE! I have never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever had such a terrible experience with a company in my life! I always hire movers because we don't have family here and it's hard for us to do it on our own with two small kids. I bought this deal off of Groupon for $139 for two hours! These movers came in my house and told me they will not be able to move 9 pieces of furniture & 20 boxes in two hours with a 1.8 mile driving distance. When I say 9 I mean 2 mattresses, one tv stand, one dresser, one nightstand, bedframe, desk, and a target brand shelf. They only moved those 9 items and took them 3 D** HOURS!! I had wayyyyyy more stuff from my previous move with same driving distance done in 1 hour and 45 minutes and I mean unload house, load truck, drive, unload truck & load new house. I didn't use them again because I couldn't remember the name or find them on groupon. And within those 3 hours they didn't even take ONE box. Then had the NERVE TO CHARGE ME AN EXTRA $280!! And we STILL HAD TO MOVE!! We had to use m daughters bicycle to haul boxes to and from our car and even had my 9 year old help and lift boxes with me because we were in such a tight spot and no help and on a time crunch. And yes I did call them but guess what they don't return any of my calls. I've called and called, left messages after messages and STILL NO RESPONSE! Please stay away.. oh and these grown a** men were moving slower than I was and I'm a 5' 4" 125lbs woman who is NOT active in any way.. it's like the they purposely take their time so they can charge you more. Please do yourself a favor and pick someone else. I'm usually not the one to complain and I believe in the right thing and hard work BUT THIS bothered me so much because of the bad business and no regards for their customers I had to share my very awful experience. Please go somewhere else! Btw I'm a real estate agent and will let every buyer, seller & renter to never use them.
