Movers were great and professional! I would recommend them for someone else as well. They were on time!!
HORRIBLE! Buyer beware.
They take their sweet time, damage items, and then try to hit you with a bill double the estimate. They try to make you pay before unloading your property. If a mover tries this, contact your bank before paying or even call your local police. This behavior isn't allowed and don't let your property be held hostage. DO NOT PAY UNTIL SERVICE IS PROVIDED!
Worst Moving Coming Ever!!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! After initial conversation to make the reservation and required deposit, they never returned phone calls or emails. Move was scheduled between 2-3, and they did not arrive until 6! They were 3 hours late. We did not receive any phone calls notifying us they would be late or letting us know when they would arrive. The office told us they could not help us, and they had no idea when the movers would arrive. THE OFFICE STAFF WAS TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, INEFFICIENT, AND RUDE. We were overcharged $100. I called the office to discuss the discrepancy, and they would not even listen to me. They just hung up on me! I reported this company to the PA Public Utility Commission and to The Better Business Bureau. They should not be in business, and I cannot understand how they still are in business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Worst mover ever used..do not use.

Broke glasses, chipped dresser, did not put screws back in bed frame which broke afterwards.
Two men took longer and they charged me.
We had to move boxes for movers at one point which caused me to be in pain (60 year old with sciatica)..they continually make you sign release papers..poor service..do not use..additional cost for bed boards cost me 68 dollars.
Moving experience.
My move was scheduled to begin between 4-5 pm and they didn't arrived until 7 pm. They also had trouble following directions. I had signs on all my furniture and boxes labelled and they still messed it up, putting items in the wrong place or missing items I'd wanted them to include. I did agree to moving some of the labelled furniture myself because I was planning to move small things myself anyway and because it was getting late and I just wanted it done with. They also were going to charge me for the 5 hour estimate when it actually took less than four hours and we had to wait for an unreasonably amount of time to get confirmation of the fee change and to clear the payment on my credit card. To be absolutely fair however I can't really fault the movers themselves; they were friendly and respectful, but starting early in the morning and scheduling them to work until 11 pm is ridiculous. These guys were dead on their feet (as was I) which is probably why they put so much of my stuff in the wrong rooms. If there was any chance they were going to be that late they should have been scheduled for another day & time. I would have been flexible with the scheduling. I further did not like their policy of filling out a review right there in front of the movers. I can't be sure that the movers are responsible for all the issues I've describe. All in all my experience with this company showed them to be inefficient and unprofessional. The owner or person in charge, whom I never spoke with, seems to run his company based on how much advantage he can take with his workers and his customers. I will not use them again nor will I recommend them to anybody else.
Great Experience.
We moved 12/28/13 the movers were a few minutes early which made us very happy! They wrapped and protected all of our furniture carefully. The 3 gentlemen in the crew moved us quickly quietly and professionally, they were done before we knew it. The move lasted about 3 hours because we had moved all our boxes the day before. Overall we had an excellent experience with this company.
Extortionists, Thieves, and Unethical Liars. DO NOT USE THEM!!
The movers arrived a half an hour early. The total for the move was quoted at $415 for 4 hours of work. I was charged $97.50/hr for a 3-man crew. I was not supplied a 3-man crew; man #1 was extremely short with very tiny hands, therefore unable to pick up and move a significant amount of items. He could only carry them one-by-one due to his short stature. Man #2 was extremely old and had many medical ailments. He was limping badly, with a rotated ankle, and complained continuously…”My feet is hurtin! Lord help!” Secondarily, he also complained of an extremely painful toothache which prevented him from performing the moving tasks. I empathized with the man since he was old and in pain, and medicated him with a pain reliever. Given the fact that I am an advanced practice Registered Nurse, I had additional pain relievers for emergent care. Man #3 was not even a man. He was a 13 year old boy, who was the son of short Man #1! Mackintosh packed the truck extremely slowly despite my many reminders that they had to hurry up and that my storage room would close at 9:00 pm. Of course, they moved so slow the storage place closed. While I was upstairs moving boxes, they were caught downstairs congregating and sitting in my kitchen and dining room. When I came down the stairs, they would scatter as if they were working. They took smoke breaks and talked on the phone at their leisure. They were not professional movers and had not awareness of how to pack the truck. They left the back of the truck unpacked and filled with virtually air, and piled all of my items to the front of the truck. Then they told me they had to load the remainder of my items in to my two SUVs or I had to leave them behind! They insisted there was no more room left on the moving truck. After they loaded up both of my SUVs, I still had items left. Then, they suddenly were able to open back up the moving truck to pile the rest of the stuff on. However, my 2 SUVs at this point were already stuffed. It took them at total of 12 hours to pack the items into the moving truck and I assisted them with packing and moving because they were taking too long! They left trash all around the dumpsters and the property owners charged me an additional $200 because they had to dispose and clean the mess Mackintosh left. Once, everything was packed on the truck, they told me they all were hungry and had to go to Wawa to get something to eat. They went Wawa, got food, rested, and ate it all on my paid clock at $100/hr! When they arrived at my new house around 3:00am, Man #1 refused to unload my items off the truck until he was paid in full for the move. He postdated the end time of the move an additional 3 hours, overcharging me for service. Since they made me miss the storage room earlier at 9:00pm, I told them they had to move everything into the new location. Three hours into the unloading process, they told me they were too tired to continue the move and had to abandon the job. Unable to move the items from the truck myself, he told me my things had to stay on his truck and he then charged me fees for 2 days storage. I demanded they bring my items later that afternoon but they refused saying I had to wait 2 days and charged me storage for the 2 days they refused to bring my belongings! The load up process in total was 14 hours! Please note, the quote was 4 hours. I went downstairs to my SUVs that were packed with my items, and I found bleach spilled in my $100,000 Porsche!! They had packed bleach in the car, and let it spill down into the electronic chambers of the care all night!! There was also bleaching of my carpets in the front of the Porsche as well. I had to file a car claim to have the damage addressed. I called the Mackintosh office and explained what happened and an ignorant, education and rude kid told me he was the boss! Then said none of the events that happened that night had ever happened! He was playing loud music in the background, with profanity blasting and laughing with friends. Sounded like a joy ride. Two days later when they returned with my items on the truck, the same short man (Man #1) again demanded payment before he would release my items. And, he charged me for storage again although he charged me on the first day!! So, that’s 4 days of storage although only 2 days were provided, and the 2 days were delays on their behalf – of course to increase costs through delayed timing. I had to subcontract two other men to come in and help with unloading so that Mackintosh wouldn’t take another 14 hours to unload! When they saw the other 2 men there, it surprisingly only took them 2 hours to unload!! Damage to my items due to mishandling and sloppiness and/or theft: 1. Two of my oil painting are missing 2. Interior damage to my Porsche 3. Dresser is cracked 4. Painting edges are sheared off 5. Marble embellished floor lamps destroyed 6. Wooden podium cracked The day after I reported my items stolen and my car damaged, my cars suddenly had nails in the tires. They flattened the tires of both of my cars by hammering nails in them! This is not a professional moving company! They misadvertised. Mackintosh used random men off the inner-city streets that were looking for side jobs and rented a U-haul truck. They did not know how to pack the truck, caused damage to my items, stole other valuable items, damaged my expensive car, and extorted my money through time absorption. And they are abusing child labor laws by having children work long, extended, grueling hours (such as the 14 hours job the 13 year old boy performed in my presence). Please DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT use this company! They are not professional movers. They get men off the streets that are looking for side jobs and rent a Uhaul truck, then they extort your money through slow moving and even theft. These guys are not professional movers. They will not even send a crew that is worthy of your money. And they are abusing labor laws by having children work long, extended hours (such as the 14 hours job the boy/Man# 3 did). Save your money, and if anyone has experience what I’ve experienced, please report to the Better Business Bureau to get this fake company out of business. They Just want your money and will make you a victim! .
Overall Experience.
The worst experience, by a lot. The estimate was less than half the end price.
They ran my card before they unpacked the truck with an estimated time, but they finished an hour early..NO REFUND (they charged us for work they didn't do).
Over an hour of down time waiting for someone to bring them some supplies (never arrived), charged regular rate.
Unable to get through to company and it has been a week.
Estimated 1-2pm and showed up at 3:20pm.
Had he wrong departure and arrival addresses.
The leader told me they would have finished packing at 4:45 if he had the right supplies. We didn't leave until 6:30.
The moving team did not have wrapping plastic, dollies, hand trucks, or carts of any kind..REALLY.
Never Hire This Moving Company.
This is the most horrible and disgusting moving company ever I had to deal with. First of all, they came 2 hours late to begin with. They didn't bother to call me, I had to call the company myself to find out the time they would show up. Second of all, they had no idea how to pack items in the truck. They were grabbing anything they can grab from the house and dumping into the truck. They were unprepared, they didn't even bring a tool box, or a hand truck. They used my personal hand truck to move some of the items and my tools to undo my dining table and dressers, etc. One of the guys didn't even know what dolly was. Unbelieveble!! Then, they left behind so many items because they said that that they were running out of time since the storage place was closing at 10 PM. I had to rent a U-haul truck and make multiple trips to the storage place myself because some of items wouldn't fit into my SUV. Lastly, once they arrived at the storage place, they refused to unload the truck and demanded to be paid in full with cash or credit card. This was not in the contract. They just sat there until my wife paid them with the credit card. These guys were lazy, unprofessional, and rude people. I haven't called the salesman yet to give him peace of my mind after he assured me that they have movers working for the company and not peopel they hire from outside. I truly wish this company goes out of business soon so no one else have to deal with what I had to deal with. .
Terrible.
This company is not responsible at all. My moving was planned for 2-3 pm, saturday. They just started to delay the moving hour by hour and they blame the previous lengthy moving. Finally they arrived at my apt. at 8:30pm. Three guys just sat in the truck and didn't even want to talked to us. They were drinking and eating in the truck and finally when they decided to come down, I told them there is no moving anymore. We cannot start moving here at 9:00pm and arrive at the new apt. at 1:00 am and start moving stuff. They said this was my problem and even their managar started to give us the exuses and suggest to do it the day after. The workers were so unprofessional that we didn't want them to do our job later. We just wanted our deposit back which of course the manage said it was nonrefundable. Just don't work with this mover. It's a waste of money, and more importantly, it'll cost you your peace of mind. There are much better company out there. .
Good movers.
I moved from philadelphia to cherry hill and they came on time packed me and moved me the smae day . they did a great job I tipped each guy $50.00 I highly reccomend they to anyone who wants good movers llllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.
Terrible and costly experience.
This company went $200 over the estimate they gave me and blamed it on the fact that it was a hot day and the elevator wasn't reserved for only their use. This move was from a 1 bedroom apt to another about 35 mins away and it cost me over $500 dollars, not including the items that they broke and refuse to pay for. They left the freshly painted white walls of my new apt. with sweat and dirt stains on them. The scuffed up my and sweated on my seude couch. When arriving at my new apt. they did start unloading until they recieve payment in full, which would have been fine it they would have told me that instead of chatting on the phone. Also when they recieve payment it takes about another 5 minutes of them on the phone I assume with the main office to tell them how much they recieved, arrival time etc. They gave me 3 movers, one was in and out of the bathroom 3 times that I counted, 1 of the movers told me it was his first day on the job and the other was one his cell phone at least 3 times. The one that was in and out of the bathroom was at least 45 years old and I felt bad having him lift anything. They broke 2 of my items without telling me. I moved from the same area a year ago with only 2 movers and they got it done faster and for less money. I will never use this company again.
