It was a great experience with Nelson and his crew from Major Van Lines. They were fast and professional, and everything was wrapped so it wouldn't get scratched. They took great care of everything, pretty much more than I would have expected. They were all very nice guys, great attitudes, very polite and helpful.

Had a great experience with Major Van Lines today! M was accommodating and helpful. My movers, Max and Kevin, were very efficient and got the job done in less time than expected. They were super quick to respond to messages and came early to begin the job.

The Major Van Lines are the best movers in the town. They arrived and loaded everything on truck. They stored the truck overnight and Elex and a team of 3 (2 the same from the first day) made the drive to F to unload and assemble all of our stuff. It was a great move overall.
They are just the best!
I have zero experience moving, ever. Just clearing all of the closets after 40 years was terrifying, but with Major Van Lines help we managed to pack it all up. The Chris and his whole team showed up on the day, slightly early, and wasted no time packing their truck. I have never seen men work so efficiently and quickly in my entire life.
Chose a Different Company.
My son moved from North Carolina to Ohio. The move went smoothly. However, after the movers left, my son noticed that the knob on his washing machine had gotten broken during the move. Major Van Lines indicated that they would pay for the damages. However, it's been 3 months and we haven't seen anything! I have contacted them repeatedly!! They use caller ID so they never answer when I call. They were extremely nice while I was arranging my move and now I can't even get a hold of them! All I can say is run, look elsewhere for a moving company. They are quick to take your money, but they are NOT willing to reimburse you for any damages that may occur during the move.
Disappointed on Delivery Time.
Major Van Lines quote was higher than others but I went with them because I wanted a stress free move. Unfortunately I found that they overpromised and underdelivered. I was told it would take 10 days but the reality was it took 20 days for my stuff to get delivered. What was even more disappointing is that Major Van Lines seemed to disengage once they picked up my stuff and instead just gave me the number of a dispatch person to call to get info and offered no help when the day kept moving to the right. They did not even have the courtesy to return my phone calls when I called asking for information/help when the date kept moving. It was frustrating to say the least.
I chose to give them an average rather than unsatisfactory rating however because all my stuff eventually arrived and I found just a couple glasses and bowls were broken in transit and I noticed that a couple of my boxes had additional tape and wrap around them which made me feel like there was some care taken while my things were in transit.
If I were to move again I will look at other companies. .
Horrible moving company.
I booked my move over 2 months ago for Saturday July 25th. They did not show up. They called and said they would be at my house the next morning, no show. Another mover called me and said they we're dispatched from Sacramento. ..I live in San Diego. They didn't get here until 5 00 pm. The mover had a bad attitude right when he pulled up saying he was scheduled for 3 jobs today, but was taken off those jobs to drive Down to pick up our stuff. He was rude, unprofessional and looked like just got out jail. He increased our price by $2000 and would not supply me with a new inventory list, before I signed.a.new contract. I could go on more about how horrible this company is but I really don't want to waste my time on this incompetent company. The guy left and I found another company to move us. I think this whole moving industry is broken.

Last march I went to Major van lines office and get an approximate pricing for my relocation from New York to Maine. I had so many questions about their process. They willingly answered my all questionnaire on the spot. I must confess they have a brilliant customer service. They fixed a date. Though that was not so convenient for me but I agreed. I warned them not to make any delay. Making me surprised, four movers team arrived with all their supporting tools at least half an hour early. As I was not expecting them so early, but I opened the door and allowed them working. I can remember the weather was very poor but despite having so many impediments, they reached to deliver with hundred percent accurate orders. Their service is truly appreciated.
Great performance.
Major van lines was great. We moved to a house from an apartment. They offered the best price by far. I have seen very few movers as punctual, honest and expert like they are. Their special care for our belongings was quite noticeable. Most important issue was that they maintained the delivery window. They did everything to complete in timeline and they achieved the success. I have no intension to choose any other company for my future move. They are perfect for me. I would suggest everyone to hire Major van lines and experience their great performance.
Marvelous mover.
I have heard many shocking moving stories from many of my friends. But luckily my knowledge about a mover named Major van lines was marvelous. I appreciated the way they completed the total process. They came and walked around the entire apartment and then began working. They were quite helpful. I got many important suggestions from them. And one more thing I must say you guys that Major van lines had very reasonable pricing. I love this mover and strongly recommend them.
Fantastic service.
Major van lines did a fantastic job for me. They moved us from New York to Florida. They tried to lighten my stress and were fully successful in their endeavor. When they arrived, we couldn’t able to pack completely. So they helped a lot. Major van lines crews have been friendly and did a lot of fun with my kids. The guys were simultaneously professional in their respective duties. The delivery window was nicely followed. They valued my every penny. I guess if anyone calls them for their important move then they don’t have to regret.

We hired Major van lines, and do not regret that decision at all. The Worst Moving Experience!
Major Van Lines was, without a doubt, the WORST moving company I ever dealt with in the US! Please, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company! They give false information about their prices and quotes and are completely incompetent in the way they handle adversity! We hired this place to move us from Texas to California because they fooled my husband into making a great deal as he was a veteran, then by the time they came.. view more to take our furniture away, they had the audacity to charge double of what was previously agreed upon! So, anyone who relies on a budget will suffer if hiring this company! Their employees seemed unprepared for their task and took TWO DAYS to pack and load everything. Their delay caused us to expend more money on hotels and take longer time for us to be able to arrive in California in the time that was planned. They FOOL YOU into thinking that your furniture and belongings will be delivered in 3 to 5 days (that's what they advertise!), but in reality they take 14 BUSINESS DAYS (almost three weeks) to deliver your belongings as this is the maximum time described in their contract! We arrived in California from Texas in 2 days and half; they took THREE WEEKS to deliver our furniture and arrived in California with ONLY THE DRIVER to work on EVERYTHING from delivering/unloading to assembling our furniture! I was in shock throughout the whole experience! With ONLY ONE PERSON to do EVERYTHING it took three times the amount of time to finish the work and forced us into assisting him, as a result we ended up doing the job that should have been done by THEIR WORKERS! In addition, we had several items broken, damaged, scratched, cracked, and lost!! They misplaced simples things such as a Major Van Lines was, without a doubt, the WORST moving company I ever dealt with in the US! Please, DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company! Great Moving experience.
I was trying to help my daughter move from North Carolina to Houston so researched some moving companies on line. Major Van Lines seemed to be the best on all counts - reasonable, easy to communicate with. Sara was wonderful and always ready to answer my questions/concerns. The furniture arrived in Texas the day before my daughter flew there, she had to call them as she landed and they were able to deliver that day. Great service - would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you.
Transparent service.
I was looking for the right mover who can relocate our belongings for a cross country move. We were extremely worried about whom to believe with our belongings. I started finding a good mover on internet and I picked up five companies name and called all of them. Major van lines won the contest at last because of their polite behavior, prompt response and economical rate. Later when they came to work, we realized how professional they are. They did a complete transparent performance, followed perfectly the pickup and delivery schedule with no concern. They were really commendable.
