  1. Excellent.

Hire Some Marines, They did all my moving and some general labor cleanup. Did a great job, moved fast! Would definitely hire them again.

  2. John Boston Hill.

    HAS BEEN ARRESTED IN FLORIDA!

    http://www.bustedmugshots.com/ohio/toledo/john-boston-iii-hill/26268601
JOHN BOSTON HILL has a very long line of criminal history dating back to his high school years from back in Ohio. He is not someone to be trusted. He has always been a "smooth talker". His criminal record is quite lengthy and including drugs.

  3. Stolen Valor.

This guy is a liar! not a former marine!! Stolen Valor is a Federal offense. He should be in jail! I just read about this scam artist while sitting in the airport USO on my way to Afghanistan. How dare this man use what we do to make a dollar from patriotic people giving work to vets? It is so disgusting and everyone needs to know? If he steals valor, what won't he steal? .

  4. Bunch of thieves and deceitful people.

This guys stole my property and my money "DO NOT HIRE THEM" don't make some mistake I made and lose your precious items and money. They claim to be legit but they are not John(Sgt) Boston Hill is a liar he has never been in the marine corp and he is a convicted felon from Ohio. His drivers are nothing but thieves and they won't even contact you nor respond to calls and messages when you ask where is your stuff. Please beware nothing worst than been scam by people with no morals and no responsability. .

  5. Damaged motorcycle in transit.

I contracted with Marine Corps Movers of Tampa Fl. through uShip to move one motorcycle, one 32" TV, and asst. boxes. I checked out Marine Corps Movers profile and they stated the carried $10,000.00 of insurance. I receive a call from the owner of Marine Corps Movers prior to the arrival in NJ. He informed me there had been a little accident that the bike fell in the truck. He offers $200.00 for the damages which he says is a broken kickstand and a broken windscreen. I tell him I will inspect the motorcycle when it arrives before I will accept his offer. Upon arrival the bike had much more serious damage. I told Mr. Hill the owner, that I would be taking the bike to a repair shop for an estimate for the damage. The estimate was for $2900.00. Since the bike had some previous damage I deducted all the repair cost that his driver hadn't done and sent him an estimate. I showed him both the original estimate and adjusted estimate of $2400.00. I asked for his insurance information and he ignored my request (because he lied about having insurance). He offered $300.00 to settle the case. I have a bill of lading signed by his driver that states the damages done to the motorcycle. I have pictures before and after of the damages to the motorcycle. He refuses to cover the damages because he had no insurance. He misrepresented himself on his profiles which lead me to enter into a contract with Marine Corps Movers.

  6. Stay away, liars..

Will add many details to this later, but this is a quick note to say that this was the worst experience ever.. They won't keep their promise on anything. Nothing. They will want to charge you twice as much. They will be aggressive. OUR THINGS ARE GONE. WE STILL HAVE OTHER PEOPLE"S PRECIOUS BELONGINGS> We have given them several months now, and nothing. They don't respond to anything, so much of our stuff is gone and we have many important things that belong to other people, heirloom pics, financial docs etc.. please get in touch if you are missing things-- especially if your move was around October. Please get in touch if you have things that don't belong to you. We have asked them multiple times to give us the contacts of the people whose things were in the same move with ours-- they didn't. They did not bother to pick these up either. John Boston HIll will lie on the spot to you and will give different versions. We will take legal action, we were wishing we wouldn't have to and really waited several months for them to respond. Nothing they say is true, and they will double the amount they say. They have no insurance, no truck, no name, no guys, they have nothing to do with Marine Corps -- which was why we hired them. .

  7. Update : Whitney & Tito worst experience ever.

We used them to move our stuff from MD to FL and they damaged and stole/misplaced our belongings. To start off I thought things were going good in beginning but unfortunately not. I was really excited to get our stuff especially my son stuff because he kept asking for his toys and movies. To make a long story short this experience was not a good one.

Mr. Boston charged us an extra $150.00 for his negligence 1st he called me to say Mrs. There are extra boxes then we expected but I am not going charge you if you do me a favor and leave a sterling review on this website " mymovingreviews.Com" (I think this is how he gets his reviews) which I did because and I figured hey I should because I don't have any of my stuff yet and what if he decides not to pick it up if I don't leave a good review, so I felt obligated since I had no way of getting our stuff. A few days later he calls my husband to say he didn't know our stuff was in MD when it states in the email that our belongings where in MD so he charged us an extra 100.00. What an excuse. So we had u haul cut the lock for them on Friday since he forgot to pick up our keys in FL because he said he had our file in the wrong month (yeah sure) I don't even think he keeps any files. Anyway, he called me at 9 pm the night before he delivers our stuff and say " Mr. We broke your computer table and on top of that I have to charge you an extra 50.00 because your boxes was a terrible mess and we had to repackage your items" and he said we would not normally pick up any boxes like this. Wait wait wait! Why call a day before you deliver my stuff to say this, why not call last week when you told me to leave a sterling review. Why not say well you have extra boxes and your boxes are a mess. He is a liar! Because they damaged our boxes while moving they did not pack the truck correctly. He basically blamed us. I was pissed because they were brand new boxes & plastic bins. I know we packed correctly.

The day comes where they deliver our stuff let me tell you I was in shock when I walked through my door. They called me at 8:45 am to say they are 10 min away. I told them the door will be unlocked because I have to get cash out so unload the stuff in the living room. My husband was at work I suppose to pick him up because I did not want to be there alone with men that I never met but had no time because mr boston did not inform me that he would be there that early he said between 9:30 and 10. Anyway, when I arrived they were waiting in front of my house smoking cigarettes and ghetto as ever. He had his hand out for the money as soon as I pulled up. I handed him the cash without looking at my stuff but I had no choice because what if I did not pay them it was 3 of them against my little self. He walked with me inside and I had no words that's how shocked I was at the way my belongings were. They left and did not give me a receipt or invoice.

I noticed they even used my guest bathroom without asking left the seat up and urine all on the rim of the toilet I had to pick up there cigarette butts they left outside I was so disgusted I had to sanitize everything.

I called my husband crying because our stuff was damaged, dirty and ruined. I looked through the boxes and noticed multiple items missing

He claim he tags people items when he picks them up that is not the case because I even have other people belongings in my house. That was delivered off their truck. I feel bad for other people that is missing there stuff.

If you are missing a suitcase full of clothes please contact me I have it here.

We even had to call the sheriff dept because we are missing so much stuff. There is so much stuff missing that we called him wanting answers his response was give me a day so I can figure out what's going on. This was on Friday (dec 24th) its now Tuesday still no call we call him and he do not answer.

    Stuff that is missing:

    Expensive oil paintings
    Kitchen items
    Collection of expensive organic seasonings
    Computer desk
Collection of kids movies (over 100)
Kids toys (my son is so hearted broken. We have to start his collection all over.)
    Much much more!

You guys do your research before booking anything with them. I even submitted a claim with the BBB. I called my lawyer and news 8 on your side.

This company should not be in business! Read the terrible reviews on BBB. They are liars. They will make any excuse to make their self-look good but in reality, they are not only lying to their customers but they are lying to their selves as well.

If anyone reads this and you used him as your mover and you have any of this stuff please contact me. Especially if you have the kids toys and movies.

Update: I found the people that lost there suitcase yesterday. I had to go through there personal belongings to get their number. They were really excited to get it back. Because as you know Mr. Boston promised them that he would find it nut never got back to them. Yeah sure because we told him we had it and he did not even attempt to come and get it for them. He screwed them over as well.

They are such a scam! Trust me do not use them!

  8. Local move.

If you're going to move. These are the guys you want to hire. I felt they were excellent. Every aspect of what they did was professional. Superior service, and quick turn time. Worked with me on a very tight schedule and were very accommodating. If I was going to have a friend family or loved one moved I would hire these guys without any reservation. I trusted everything that they did. They were upfront, professional and completely honed in to making sure my experience went extremely well. I don't often give recommendations. But I felt this was A time where I really needed to make sure that people know that these guys are the real deal. Many thanks to Boston and his team!

  9. My moving experience.

I've never moved from one state to another and I was filled with a lot of anxiety. From the first phone call to the last John was very reassuring.  They arrived early for pick up, they were professional and courteous.  My items were moved and delivered without incident. I would recommend Marine Corps Movers to anyone moving state to state or local.  You can rest easy knowing you're in good hands with Marine Corps Movers.

  10. Making a third booking.

Used this company twice before and am very pleased. We even let them drive our second vehicle to our new location because we only have one driver in the family. We are about to book them for a third move in both directions and have total confidence that they will do a fine job. They are above professional and courteous.

  11. Warning**stay Away From These Guys!!

The "movers" sent to handle our move were not professional at all. They hired on to make extra money. This was proven when they damaged multiple pieces of our furniture and then wanted to do a quick fix with glue! They came totally unprepared with NO tools, hand trucks, wrap, etc! The so called owner Sgt John Boston Hill (whatever his real name is) tried to sugar coat damages and now refuses to return my calls or respond to e-mail or texts to settle the damage issues!! I highly doubt they are even insured!
They are not all Vets and to say you are "Saluting the troops" and hiring a hero is nothing but a flat out lie! They are a serious disgrace to the troops and our veterans!!
Find a reputable mover, not these guys!

  12. Extremely pleased!

I needed personal items delivered in state, to my new home office location. The movers were definitely experienced. They were very polite and extremely careful with my property. They picked up my things as agreed upon and delivered everything in excelent condition on time. All my boxes were labeled and placed in the appropriate room. They went beyond the call of duty! I'll definitely use this company again and tell my friends to use them too.

    Sincerely,
    Ms Adams.

  13. 6-Mile 3500 pound House of Furniture Move.

All went well from start to finish with only a few items damaged (bed headboard broken; scratches on furniture; broken armoire). Then, at the very end of the move I paid John Boston $500.00 in cash; plus $100.00 tip for him. I told him that I was goin to also give $50.00 tip to each of his 2 workers. He stated: "May I give it to them?" I was taken by surprise by his question. But, said "OK. Just make sure to give it to them here before you leave." He agreed. After he said his final words to his 2 workers, alone, he departed, leaving his 2 workers at my address. I asked them if they received their tip and one stated that he had, in the amount of $20.00. The other worker was surprised when I asked because he responded that he never received my tip. I called John Boston immediately only to get his voice mail. One of the workers called Boston and handed the phone over to me. Boston told me that he would call me back shortly. I never received a phone call from John Boston. That was March 28th, 2013. Today is June 12th, 2013. Still no call and he never paid the workers my $100 (total) tip.

  14. Great Movers, Great Price.

From start to finish, these were the most professional, hardworkng, calculated and focused group of men we have ever worked with.  They arrived EARLY, which was highly appriciated.  They took great care of our antiques and fragile items.  We had $5,000 worth of silver that they packed and loaded for us.  It was nice to have people that we trusted with such valuable items.  We have refured them to friends of ours and they had the same experience.  These guys are the BEST.

  15. Marine Corp Movers are EXCELLENT.

As a single woman, I had multiple concerns regarding moving. Costs, condition & treatment of my belongings, and most importantly, my safety. Some companies hire day laborers without regard to their sometimes sketchy backgrounds. These strangers would then know where I live and have been in my home. I contacted the Marine Corps Movers due the reputation of integrity associated with the Marines. I found Boston to be respectful, articulate, and very professional. He assured me the movers would actually be former Marines. That made me feel more safe. The Marines arrived early, were polite, and treated my belongings and I with respect. They were very efficient, professional, & very hardworking. In just a few hours, everything was moved out & in, and they were kind enough to arrange my furniture in the way I asked. They even set up my bed. I whole heartedly recommend the Marine Corp Movers. Were I to need moving services in the future, they would be my first call. They were reasonably priced, hardworking, respectful, and professional. I was also proud to support local veterans. Sincerely, Kerri.
