  1. Don't use them!

They forgot to pack my washer and dryer even after I told them the day before that it needed to be packed! So, I had to spend more money for them to go get the damn washer and dryer. they did it on purpose to get more money, they knew it needed to be moved! They also put a bottle of bleach on top of my bed spread, curtains and pillows so all of that was ruined! They didn't even apologize or acknowledge my stuff was ruined! Don't use them!

  2. Worst company ever.

I got my moving scheduled at 1pm, someone called that they couldn't make it until 3:30pm, I called Mario the person who I talked to from the beginning and he said they would be at 3pm.. 4 pm nothing, called to main 1-888 number and they gave me the dispatch manager Franks he said he will send 3 men.. kept me waiting until 5:30pm, they never showed up. Terrible overwhelming experience, on top of that now obviously the return of my deposit won't be the same.

  3. Warning - do Not Use This Company.

I needed to move my daughter from the Miami area to Pennsylvania and was contacted by Frank Martino of "Move For Less". The estimated cost was very reasonable and he seemed to be professional so I signed an agreement for them to perform the move. What a mistake. I flew to Miami to assist my daughter and two days before the move confirmed with Frank that everthing was a go. The movers were scheduled to show up on Saturday at 9:00 am but they never showed up. I checked emails to discover that Frank had sent me an email at 6:00 pm the day before the move. In this email he stated the company had no trucks going to PA and would not be able to help me. He didn't even have the guts to call me about this. This left me stranded in Florida and scrambling to find an alternative over a holiday weekend. One more caution. This guy initially represented a company called "Pro Movers" but it changed to "Move For Less" at some point after my initial contact. This was a huge red flag that I missed. Regardless of the company name, if you're dealing with an individual named Frank Martino, pick someone else.    .

  4. Great Team.

I've received nothing but great professional service from this company. I used them to move my 2 bedroom house yesterday. They were on time, professional and fast! This was my 4th time using this company for moving and ive been happy everytime with their service and cost. Each time there was a different crew( all good) After yesterdays performnce I felt compelled to write  this review. They completed the job in 3 hours and the cost was very reasonable. I very happily tipped the 3 guys for a job well done. I would reccomend them to anyone and I really mean that.

  5. Total ripoff.

Terrible company! Do not go for them. Most probably all the good reviews are written by the company itself. They arrived two hours late for our move. And all the stuff that they moved showed signs of damage. And we were in a rush since we had a deadline to get the move finished and they did not seem to be in a rush at all. Probably because they make more money if they delay. Total ripoff. And they did not even finish the job. And then they hold stuff in the truck as ransom and demand money before they finish the move. DO NOT GO FOR THIS COMPANY. They did not finish the job and we had a to hire a different moving company to finish the rest of the move. I highly recommend Lion van line movers (http://www.lionsmovers.c…). They are professional are were exactly on time and got the work done in the fastest time possible.

  6. Left me high-and-dry without a solution.

We spent 2 days organizing, agreeing and coordinating for Move For Less to be a "backup plan" in case my new fridge wouldn't fit up my stairs. We had tried a couple of times - unsuccessfully - to bring a fridge up before and ended up having to send it back. This time I wanted to be prepared with a plan B by hiring Move for Less to remove the old refrigerator and bring up a new one through the second floor balcony. We received a written agreement and even confirmed the deal for them to be on standby multiple times. On the day of the move, brandsmart came and - as predicted - couldn't get the old fridge out, much less the new one on. so I called frank to let him know. After an hour not hearing back, I called again. He said "yeah sorry the owner doesn't want to do it." That's it, they reneged on our entire agreement, and left me hanging with the name - not even the number - of someone who "might do it." Now I'm spending the better part of my Saturday calling movers, meanwhile all the food in my house is going bad because brandsmart disconnected the fridge and took it apart already. Ridiculous. Don't do business with these people!!

  7. Moving experience.

Recommend and will use as many times as I can. Trustworthy and professional. Thanks for all your assistance! They spoke great English. They came in a big enough truck to complete one round. They wrapped merchandise complete and professional like it was their furniture being transported. The cost was perfect and while making my appointment the staff with communicating and confirming my appointment was great. This company will be around for years to come. Keep up the great work. Thanks again.

  8. Unprofessional - Do not Use.

I contracted "Move for Less" for my move from Miami, Florida to New York City this December/January. I was given an initial quote of $700 for the service. At the time I was extremely specific on where the items would be delivered (UWS  NY, NY) and the make-up of the building (3rd floor walk up in a converted town home). I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be dramatically uncharged on the back end, or more specifically, once they had my stuff. The salesperson, Mario Martinez, assured me that the quote was accurate. I even went as far as to tell him that I felt we need to add another $75 for another flight of steps, because the quote didn't have an ample coverage for that (bringing the total to $775).   My items were picked up from my apartment in Miami, Florida on Monday December 17th. Right from the start there was a minor issue, which had it been the only problem, would have been easy to over look. The pickup was scheduled for 8am and the movers did not arrive until 10am. The real issues started once it came time to deliver my stuff. Because of Christmas and New Years delivery, both sides agreed to hold off deliver until January 3, 2013. On January 2nd, I called for an update to determine whether or not it would be delivered the following day. I spoke to the dispatcher, Murat Gusalov, who informed me that not only was my stuff still in Florida, but in order for it to be delivered I would need to pay a $250 shuttle charge since it was now on an 18 wheeler. (Please keep in mind that when it was picked up, the movers placed all of my items in a box truck.) In addition I would have to pay an additional $150 in stair fee’s. In short he said that I would not have my stuff delivered unless I paid an additional $500, a 65% increase on the initial quote. Over the course of January 2nd, I spoke and argued with Murat about 8 times. I went as far as to call the NY DOT, head of truck services, who informed me that no 18 wheelers were allowed on the island of Manhattan without proper documentation and any licensed moving company should know that. Only after personally connecting Murat with the correct office at NY DOT, did he very begrudgingly agree to deliver my things on Saturday January 5th  (2 Days late), without the $250 shuttle fee. He gave me a time slot of 9am-12pm. On Saturday the movers again arrived late at 1230pm, which would have been acceptable had I not already been so turned off by the service up to that point. Upon arrival the delivery guy told me I would need to pay the $250 shuttle fee. I promptly and firmly explained that was out of the question. He then stepped inside the building and explained I would have to pay a minimum of $150 extra in “stair fees” since my building had (1) a stoop outside 6 stairs, and the three indoor flights of stairs had turns on them, and the quote only accounted for straight runs of 8 steps. He refused to take my stuff off the truck until I produced another $150. To summarize I was forced to pay him the money in order to get my worldly belongings back to me. To top things off the moving company sent two small men, knowing full well that they needed to carry a couch, boxes and several other pieces of wooden furniture up several flights of stairs. At the end of the day I was forced to pay the additional $150 and help the two movers carry the couch up the stairs. The final straw was the destruction of a piece of furniture. Upon unwrapping the wooden media consol I sent , I discovered that 3 of the 6 drawers had been broken or ripped off. I promptly emailed and called both Murat and Mario, neither has responded. .

  9. A Moving Nightmare!!

Now, let me tell you an unbeliebale story! I scheduled a move out of ICON  High RIse Building in Miami/Brickell with this company a week before I moved. I talked to Frank Martino who was originally very nice and confirmed my move by email. On the day of my move they came, half an hour late and told me that their truck was too small, they needed to get a bigger Truck. After 2 hours have passed I called Frank to find out where they are, Frank was very nasty on the phone and informed me that this is my fault I should have informed him that I have a big one bedroom then they would have brought a bigger truck, now they don't have a bigger truck available!! This is the most unprofessinal, unreliable moving company I have every dealt with!! I am going to sue them in small claims court for the maximum allowed 5k. .

  10. No deposit so they don't honor quote.

My roommate and I contacted Move for Less after finding a few companies on Google; the owner, Rey De Silva, called back and quoted $75 per hour for 3 men plus a flat fee of $37 for gas. He said anything over 3 hours would be charged at a half hour rate of $37.50 and sent this quote by e-mail including the date of the move. When asked why the company didn't charge a deposit, Rey De Silva said that it is hard to find business and they don't charge deposits so that people will choose their company. Good enough. The day before the move, we called the company to confirm and were asked if the move was on the 31st or the 30th. After sorting this out, Rey said that the new total was going to be $400. Why, when we were quoted $262? Because we had "changed the date" according to him and he could "not honor the quote". The manager claims to have sent follow up emails (nothing received) which adjusted the quote - doesn't really make sense since he didn't know about the supposed date change until the day we spoke, no? Don't use this company; you're in for a lot of broken expectations and having to reserve a last minute UHAUL and do everything yourself. I intend to post this negative review everywhere I find. You have been warned.

  11. Moving experience.

I used these movers this past weekend 3/24/12. Four men showed up only a little late and were very friendly, efficient and hard working. They took very few breaks and worked very hard in two teams. I moved only 3 miles away, but it was a 4 bedroom home to a 2 story home and they did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone who has a big job. There were a few scratches on some pieces, but nothing I wasn't expecting to happen.
