  1. Do Not Use This Moving Company.

I moved on February 25 and for almost 3 months I've waited for some resolution from Adam on my damaged furniture. I've contacted him over 30 times by phone where he both answered and I left voicemails, by text, and through Thumbtack messages. My mattresses had black marks on them from the dirty truck, a chest I bough in Kuwait was damaged on the top, my son's new desk was scratched across the top and my very expensive oak furniture bedroom tower was scraped across the front. I understand accidents happen so ALL I requested Adam fix is my son's desk and my bedroom furniture. Adam gave me $25 off for the damaged desk but to this day there has been no resolution on my bedroom furniture. I have been very patient and reached out in multiple ways and nothing. When I did reach him he would tell me he's been out of town or that he is in a meeting or that he will call me back yet nothing. I'm very disappointed because I gave Midnite Movers multiple chances to redeem themselves. Do not hire them unless you want to gamble on whether or not your furniture will be damaged. Chances are pretty high it will be.

  2. Horrible.

My roommate and I hired Midnite Movers to move our three bedroom home (plus garage and workshop) about 10 miles up the road. On the day of the move two fairly small 20-somethings show up with a 15 foot truck. We immediately knew there was a problem- as we were paying them by the hour, and there was no way they were going to be able to do the move in less than 10 trips with the muscle they had, and the size truck they had. We called the company manager (Adam), who assured us that it "would just take a few trips". It took 14 hours over two days. The two boys that showed up were immediately unprofessional, taking "dibs" on the motorcycles in my garage, and the 5 month old puppies in my living room. Joking or not, it doesn't instill a lot of confidence in the people about to lay their hands on your personal property. It just went downhill from there. The boys made glib comments about the contents of boxes ("Oh, here's grandma's cookie jars"), moved slowly, left doors open after they left, made comments about the job itself ("It's all a f*cking joke to everyone"), turned on loud rap music full of expletives, and generally acted as if they couldn't be bothered to do their job. Worse than their unprofessional behavior was the job they actually did moving our house. Boxes were left in whatever room they pleased, furniture was left OUTSIDE or in random rooms (I have a couch in my dining room, and a work table on my back porch because the movers decided to "just leave it there for now" because they felt it was too difficult to fit it through a door or a hallway, and nearly had a refrigerator on my front steps for the same reason. I personally had to come home from work to remove the front door for them). The movers moved fragile items that were clearly marked "not on truck", and boxes they were told, flat out, not to move. I have (well, had) a $6000 bedroom set- they snapped pieces of the bed frame apart trying to move it as one piece, the top surface of the long dresser is scratched deeply, and half the drawers in the dressers no longer function properly. I found the screws that are supposed to hold the bed frame together scattered ra ndomly on a bedroom floor. The best part was that they didn't even finish the job. They left closets full of boxes, my roommate moved whatever they decided to ignore by herself in her compact car while the movers watched, and we spent an extra week retrieving everything else they left. A solid portion of the 14 hours they "worked" was spent insisting that large appliances couldn't fit through doors, or asking US if we had the tools to disconnect appliances or disassemble furniture (we told them the move included appliances, and large furniture, and they didn't bother to bring tools or appliance dolly). We watched them drive the fully loaded truck off the road at one point, swerving violently to regain the lane. They even asked for gas money. Oh, and when I tried to run my washer (the only appliance they actually hooked up at the new house) I discovered they had over-tightened the hose coupling so badly they actually destroyed the shut-off mechanism for the water. I discovered this by having a waterfall in my laundry room, which required a plumber and additional $300 to fix. We've tried to contact the company, and they just ignore our emails. So now I figure the best thing I can do is warn other people about their HORRIBLE service. I paid over $1000 for two days of babysitting two incredibly unprofessional kids who didn't finish the job, and destroyed property. DO. NOT. HIRE.

  3. Moving within 30 -50 miles.

The 2 guys that work for Adam were so professional. They did an excellent job with my furniture. And how quickly they just put everything in its place. They were so friendly and courteous. You guys definitely need ten stars if they had them. I live in a two story apartment, these guys were amazing. They zipped up those 15 stairs like nothing. I thought they were going to have a hard time bringing up the sofa love seat heavy table and chairs chest of drawers. I went online with thumb tack and Adam response was by when do you need the move to take place. I said immediately. I had my furniture moved in the very next day.
