Never use a broker to move.
Hired(we thought) coast to coast to move us from MD to WA state
They in turn sent Moon Vanline to move us. They caused us to be late moving out, they charged us three times original price and we were stuck, had to be out so had to pay. Then they packed our stuff with tons of tape and threw stuff around! It got to Washington a month late that almost cost us a relocation job because we had none of our stuff, then when it finally got there ALL nice wooden furniture ruined finish by tons of tape, broken tables and missing items, it was horrible and heartbreaking! Then the insurance they claimed to have told us halfway through filing a claim they they had dropped Moon movers and I was just left with nothing. It pretty much ruined a giant life changing event of moving across country not to mention the only things I had left from my grandparents and parents were ruined. Please hear me and don’t use this companies, save yourself the terrible expense and experience.
Move from WI to MD..Moon Vanline.
I worked with Long Distance Movers, a brokerage firm that set up a move across the country from WI to MD in July. Moon Vanline arrived, packed everything and told me that I owed a flat rate of $2,300 and would be charged no more. This cost is in addition to the $1159.31 that I had already paid the broker. When the driver arrived in MD, he would not open the truck without being paid an additional $300. Then upon inspecting everything, 8 pieces of furniture were missing including an antique dining room chair, the antique dining room table was scrapped, an end table had a chunk missing and a picture frame was cracked. There were two movers, one was under the influence and asked for food and drink the entire time they were at the apartment. (this move was only a one bedroom apartment not a home!) After contacting Long Distance Movers Moon Vanline found 7 of the 8 pieces of missing furnishings and delivered them a week later. To date, the antique chair is still missing. If anyone reading this critique has my chair, please contact me.
I filed a claim with Movingclaims.net 9/21/2017. To date the claim is not settled as the claim company was relieved of their duties, Moon Vanline is apparently out of business and now the broker is handling the claim.
NEVER USE A BROKER TO MOVE YOUR STUFF.. Find friends who are willing to help you. Pay them and you won't be disappointed. I will never recommend Long Distance Movers as a broker they selected an unreputable moving firm and now are trying to dig their way out of a problem. And I will suffer financially for this decision and in the end, their bad choices will continue on..
Beware of Moon Vanline and Liberty Bell Moving Group.
Moon Vanline destroyed my move. They lost several of my items and damaged several more. Wait it gets worse. The guy who delivered my stuff kept trying to bring items into my house that didn't belong to me. Wait it gets worse. The contract I have said if there are any claims they should be filed with movingclaims.net so that's what I did. Then I got an email from movingclaims.net telling me that Moon Vanline had withdrawn from their program and that I was on my own to deal with Moon. If you try calling Moon you'll get someone with a Russian accent who basically tells you they can't help. The reason I had dealings with Moon was because my moving broker Liberty Bell Moving Group hired them. Liberty Bell Moving Group will tell you anything you want to hear until they get your money. Then if there's a problem they will tell you it's not their problem as they are just a broker. Attorney generals in N.J., PA. and FL. should investigate these companies.
Moving company.
If I was able to give no stars, I would have preferred that. There was a delay in 2 weeks. Things of mine were missing. Took extra money to bring it up to 1 floor above. They brought up stuff that don't belong to me and they said "u can keep it, your's is the last stop".I had initially called long distance movers who sublet it to Moon Vanline, I move you. I hope nobody ever has to go through what I went through.the worst moving company. I have all 3 contact numbers.
Terrible customer service and moving experience.
This was the worst move I have ever had. I signed a contract with Nationwide Logistics to move my furniture. I paid them $570.00 initial deposit. They had another company pick my furniture up by the name of Moon Vanline and that's when all the issues began. They had another company deliver the furniture however they wanted their money before they would unload everything. I refused to pay anything because I will not pay for something I haven't seen. They wouldn't open the doors so I could see the furniture. Never use Nationwide Logistics or Moon Vanline out of NJ or NY. I will provide all the phone numbers I have contacts for.
