  1. Damaged furniture- Horrible claims process

Move out went well. Move in was another story. Damaged furniture and table legs installed incorrectly. 3 months later and we still haven’t resolved the claims process for the damaged furniture. Claims manager and Vice President do not follow up and ignore emails. Next steps are to file a complaint with the better business bureau and other agencies. This company went from what would have been a 5 star rating to 1 star. I can not believe their lack of customer service or concern about their performance.

  2. Shoddy

    I wouldn’t use this company .

Unprofessional , start to finish .

One or two of the moving crew tried but they were seemingly untrained and led by someone with a poor attitude . Avoid .

  3. Overall Experience

Do not trust this company! They have a bait and switch sales pitch and do not trust the customer over their drivers. We were told the more you packed, the price would come down. I packed 5 rooms and guess what.... the price didn't move one cent. They don't send enough packers to execute the move so you end up packing more to ensure your move is finalized before you have to be out. Then on the other end, when they damage your stuff and buy their insurance, they don't send an independent adjuster out to investigate, they just take their drivers word over yours. If you value your belongings, do not hire this company! Movers beware!!

  4. Owner is criminal

Absolutely destroyed over $20k worth of furniture and simply points fingers at other people instead of taking responsibility for his actions.

  5. Constantly rescheduling and unreliable

I can't believe that I have to post this about a company my friends and family have used before with great success... I would not trust Morse moving with your move if you want a stress free move. They have cancelled on me 3 times now less than 2 hours before their arrival after I took time off to accommodate their overs heckling themselves even though I booked this well I've a month ago.

I'm beyond frustrated with their lack of professionalism and urgency as they have put me in a situation where I am going to be financially losing more money by the day in fees for not being out of my prior home. I have a sign contact they have now breeched and they refuse to discuss what they are going to do to fix it.

The owner is on vacation and can't be bothered with these issues at the moment and even though they created this mess, the won't work on Sunday to correct it.

  6. Moving

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with this company. This is the 2nd time I used your company to move. I cannot say enough about Ray G, Steven M, & Delton. It was a difficult long move. They worked for 7 hours & had very heavy items to move. They took extra time to see where I wanted the pieces. I moved on May 13th. Sorry it took me so long to write this review. Thank you! Nancy Neely. 5 stars

  7. Horrible

We have had a terrible experience with Morse Movers. It started out great. Chris did his job well. He was quite the sales guy but after the deal was closed he was not responsive or helpful. They called the day before trying to change our move date. We told them we had to be out of our house that day because we were leaving the state the next day and the new owners were taking possession of our home. They said they would make that happen. They did not. The movers were scheduled to arrive at 10am but did not show up till 6pm. Two of the crew members were under the influence and had to be asked to leave the site. They also did not have any paperwork. They said it was coming but it never did. Their truck was too small and they had to come back the following morning. They said they would be there at 9am and again were late. They did not show up until 1pm. This delayed our move. They did not inventory our belongings and just literally threw things on the truck. I had to request an inventory multiple times and when I finally did it was incomplete and listed damage to items that were not damaged when they left our house. They were HORRIBLE about communicating or trying to fix the issues. Multiple times I was told Joy would call me and she NEVER did. Our things arrived in NH two days late and multiple things were missing and damaged. The icing on the cake was they FORGED my signature on the inventory and the contract. DO NOT USE THEM!

  8. The Nightmare of All Nightmares

I’ve moved 9 times. This, was by FAR, The Worst. They Totally destroyed a PERFECTLY working 2 1/2 year old 4K OLED TV.( Over $2,500.00). These people FORGOT or Did Not know, to Secure the drum on a 1 1/2 year old Maytag Commercial Washer. NOW, The Bearing is Grinding on the drum. That’s about useless now too. Caught a guy, SLIDING a 100#+ Safe over a Newly refinished Oak floor to the Bare Wood. That is a Big job to refinish again, and Have to be out of the house for FOUR days. They Destroyed the weatherstripping on THREE Doors.( Brand New). Destroyed and bent my Storm door pump. Then, Dented, a Brand New, Never used Range.

** I PAID $400.00 for $16,000.00 of No deductible Insurance.

Appx 3 Weeks into This, they Come up with some bogus bill of Appx., $2,100.00. That has, (all of a sudden), to be paid, Just to Consider The claim. I am Federally Disabled and It took years to save for that TV. The washer got paid for, but I still owe on it… They left me without a watchable TV, and Soon I’ll be washing clothes at a laundromat. When a Mover does this, You wonder, how they even stay in business. Do Your Homework and steer clear of this place.

  9. Incompetent

Horrible! Do not use them. Damaged our furniture and refuse to reimburse or repair. This after we bought their insurance to cover damage. Dishonest. Dishonorable.

  10. My business was not important to them

Not good! Called 2 hours before move and said wanted to reschedule for almost a week later due to mechanical issues. What can I do, I had to be out of my place the next day. They call me back later that night to say they would be at my place the next morning at 8 AM. Guess what? They failed to show. Called their manager who suggested I rent a UHaul truck and move myself. Worst experience ever!

  11. Interstate Move from Avon In. to Lake Charles, La.

Worst move experience I have ever experienced. Late both days during the packing and loading phase. Damaged wood flooring, put holes in the wall. Packing day showed up with driver and 3 packers late, left the job early not finishing the packing job. Showed up late the next day with only driver and two workers no way they could complete the job, when I called Faith my move coordinator I was told a second crew was to arrive at 1 PM. The crew did not show up until hours later and only because I contacted the General Manager who found out there had never been a second crew confirmed so I was lied to. We the homeowners moved boxes into the garage finished packing the kitchen, moved boxes up from the basement to garage for loading. We finally got out of the house around 10 PM that night with closing on the home scheduled for the next day. Just a horrible experience. Home goods were delivered to our new home and many items had been damaged, for example a dining room chair leg had been broken and glued and taped together, I'm not kidding horrible experience. As I stated before, we have had 6 interstate moves in my career and this was the first time we used this company and you can bet we will never use them again. I just submitted our damage claims today, we shall see how they are handled and provide my review on how this process goes, I'm not expecting a good experience with this process either.

  12. Do Not Use Morse Moving!

TLDR at the end. I went with the cheapest of three quotes and I regret it. John Green did a nice job of remotely estimating my move (due to COVID, we had a video chat) which was on the smaller side of a typical amount of goods to be moved from Ohio to Virginia. The total came out to just over $3,500 and I thought that was a very reasonable price and about 15% cheaper than the next highest bid.

Due to the smaller load, it had to be packed onto one truck, transported on that truck to a warehouse in Michigan, then stored until it could be loaded onto a different truck that was making multiple stops heading east. I understand that is how they make small moves economical and I accepted that the delivery window would be 3 weeks long. After the movers packed my goods the scheduler, Tracey Pritchett contacted me and I agreed to a delivery on 5/16/2020 between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. I called on Friday 5/15/2020 at 2:30 PM to confirm the delivery and was told that "I am your next call, let me doublecheck and call you back". I called back at 5:25 PM to again confirm with Tracey and she confirmed that the delivery would arrive the following day. The next morning at 9:30 AM my phone rings. It's Tracey. She has called to inform me that not only will my goods not be delivered today, but they haven't even been loaded on the truck in Michigan. She doesn't know why the driver couldn't make the delivery because he never returned any of her messages, she "assumed everything was good to go".

I later get a call on Monday 5/18/2020 and Tracey informs me that my goods will be delivered on Friday 5/22/2020. I inform her that I am already scheduled out of town for work Friday through Saturday and I cannot be there to accept delivery and there is no one else in the household; I asked for delivery on Thursday. Impossible, she states. Her supervisory Bethany Gutowski calls me back later to verify that I cannot be there to accept delivery on Friday. I confirm emphatically, I will be working out of town. Today, 5/20/2020 I receive an email with an invoice for an additional $1,041 for storage from Friday through next Tuesday and they will be able to deliver my goods on Wednesday. They won't even tell me what time the delivery will be until the day before. I do have a new job that doesn't allow me to just phone it in. I guess that doesn't matter to them.

TLDR: I paid for a service to pack and move household good for me. They did a great job packing them. The transportation of them from Point A to Point B resulted in them standing me up on a CONFIRMED delivery with less than 1 hour notice, then informing me that if I couldn't be at my new residence to accept delivery on the date that they TOLD me I HAD to be there, it results in an additional charge of $1,041 to 'store my goods' for an additional 6 days. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MORSE MOVING AND STORAGE. In fact, I highly recommend that you take the next highest bid, which for me was "Two Men and a Truck" for my particular move. I have been on hold with them for enough time to have heard over and over on their on-hold voice messaging that 'mistakes are costly', doing moves the first time is important to them', and 'customer satisfaction is their number one priority'. Not true. I wish I would have checked reviews on them before making a decision!

*If you can't accept delivery on the day they direct, you are SOL and will be charged whatever they feel like.

  13. Not just worst mover worst business ever.

Since what they did needed more space than what is provided here, I have written a detailed review and the link to it is here

  14. Moving damage.

Morse moving was recomended by a friend. I should have checked these reviews first!
Right of the bat the moving guys were angling for a tip. over and over. Then they proceeded to ruin my office furniture. Scrapes and deep gouges. I finally protested when I saw them rolling my round wood conference table across the concrete driveway like a wheel.
    Tip my A**.
Then when I complained, I was told they would get right on the repairs. nothing.. I would contact Stacy every month, new excuse. next month, new excuse. Finally, someone came out and took pictures. that was over a week ago.. nothing. They "moved" me March 1st. Four months ago. I hate writing this because as a small business owner myself, I know how this stuff is abused. But, in this case, it's very appropriate.
    Do not use these pirates.

  15. Very Professional.

We used Morse Moving to relocate from Lake Orion to Portage. We recently retired and bought a smaller ranch house. Our days of moving ourselves is long gone. So glad we allowed a professional moving company to do the hard work for us. Our salesperson, Emily Weeks, was very helpful and showed us how to safely pack fragile items. The job estimate was very close to our final cost. That's not easy for a larger house. We also had items in storage that she was able to add into the estimate. She stayed in touch and so did the home office. On the day of the move, Mark and his crew (Mike, Reed, Jake, Jacob, Royce and David)were professional, prompt and caring. They started on time and finished early. These guys make sense out of chaos. They are polite, calm and patient. They covered floors, walls and wrapped furniture. I have larger furniture and they skillfully maneuvered the larger pieces up and down tight stairs, turns and small doorways into this smaller home. Never damaged anything. They secured loose items and kept hardware safe and organized. They didn't leave before we were happy with furniture and box placement. I would recommend Morse to anyone. Well worth the money we spent for a first rate job. Thank you Emily and Mark and all those behind the scenes. You made our move easy. We cannot thank you enough.
