  1. PATHETIC!!

    STAY AWAY!!!!!

    STAY AWAY!!!!!

    This company is a scam!!!!

It all started with a great price over the phone. Approximately 3000, which was a very attractive price for our move. So my wife paid the 200 deposit to book this company. Also it should be noted this company scam is also involved with "O Canada Movers and Move me again. All these companies are the same! They get sued and then pop up under another name. Do your homework and do not go through what we went through!!

The appointment for them to pick up our stuff was for 2pm.

We got a call at 1 pm saying they are running late and will not be there until 5 pm.

Another call just before 5 saying they will be there by 7 pm.

They showed up at 930 pm!!! This was our second mistake!!! (First one was actually putting a deposit down with this company) There were 3 guys that showed up in an unmarked truck.......two guys could speak a little broken English, one could speak zero English. They proceeded to load all our stuff onto this truck while drinking beer, wearing no masks!!! The truck was loaded by 1230 am!!!!! yes, 1230 AM!!!

Thus is when our third mistake came in!!! THE CONTRACT!!! The contract was briefly explained to us on the tailgate of the truck at 1230 am in the morning. They proceeded to say our "weight" was heavier then originally quoted for and there would be an additional fee (but they won't tell you what that fee actually is) they say the accounting department will be in touch! Away they went. we had no idea where our stuff went to, all we got in broken English was "Toronto". Do Not Sign the contract, tell them to unload your property immediately. If they leave with your stuff and no contract it is theft. Call the police! The second you sign that contract it becomes a civil matter and the police won't become involved.

A few days later the "accounting department" actually called us and said we owe over $6000.00 , payment needs to be paid in full prior to our property being dispatched for delivery. Fees such as going up 2 stairs, 30 dollars for plastic to wrap a mattress or box spring, extra weight , extra 800 dollars for storage fees and on and on. Total scam. But they have our stuff, they will not tell you where it is and they are very ignorant when you question them on their ethics!

So..... we need our stuff and decided we would pay them or they will hold your property hostage and charge you yet again additional fees. So we paid in full so we could receive our property. A week goes by, another week and another week. 1 month after they picked up our stuff it eventually arrived at our new home. Numerous calls to "Maya" was one lie after another. We have 8 recordings of Maya lying in each and everyone of the calls! "Maya" is in sales and sounds convincing and sincere!! don't fall for it, she does not know how to tell the truth and is into this "scam" as much as the animals that will show up to your house.

Speaking of that, a month after our property was taken by these crooks, we get a call from Sam , 830 at night, stating our property will be at our new house by 7am the following morning!! Perfect, we are finally going to have our beds , dishes and other things you need to live. "Sam" shows up late of course with one other guy, both look like they slept in a ditch for the night. Do not the website fool you, these people do not wear uniforms and they are the farthest thing from professional movers. Guess what one of the first things "Sam" says to us. If we want the property brought into the house then we will need to pay an additional 150 dollars, cash or etransfer. I told "Sam" he is not getting another dime from us, in fact I don't want you in our new home, so they dropped our property at the end of the driveway! My wife and I took it from there and actually did it faster and more efficient then these pathetic morons!

So at the end, guess what, another contract to sign saying we received our property. I told "Sam" that I am not signing anything on the advice from our civil lawyer. Sam politely told me to F off, snatched the contract from my hand and waddled back to the truck.

These people will go bankrupt and jump up under another name. If you are moving do you homework folks, so you don't go through what we did. Looking back, we have made alot of mistakes trusting these animals. It will never happen again with anyone we know. I hope this helps all the other innocent trusting people out there to make an informed decision before hiring MOVE ME AGAIN, SAFE BOUND MOVING and or O Canada movers. There are other companies affiliated as well.

  2. Movers from HELL

This company has no conscience I was charged over 13,665 no break down i was threatened and forced to pay through e-transfer was quoted 2 much lower prices in the beginning. I was told my furniture would arrive by April 30 waited for 2 weeks we had to sleep on the floor could not get a hold of them could not leave a message because machine was full did not answer my emails It was a very trimatic experience it has scared me for life the way they treathen me held my belonging they do not care... and i have damage furniture that is no good now i took pictures and sent it to them they have not answered me yet and i believe they will not.

They lie lie and tell more lies... We did all our own packing had no fridge no stove washer or dryer no kitchen table or chairs we moved from ingersoll on to Miramichi NB I called police and he was discused with them said i should file a lawsuit but i dont have that kind of money after what they did to me.

I know people that got different company moved farther away and got charged half as much. Also i seen in their statement i would not be charged for stairs when they came they charged me 310. extra because of stairs.

When they droped off furniture they tried same thing i told him where he could go... their all a bunch of very evil crooks. "

I really do not know how they can sleep at night or even look at themselves in the mirror what they do to people isnt right.

But Carma is a Bit*h and im sure it will come back to each one of them.

  3. Avoid at all cost.

TL/DR: Use anyone else, its basically a running scam.

This company seems fine when you talk to their front line (under the name O'Canada movers). Their phone service is very misleading as it doesn't reflect the rest of their service.

I got quoted/invoiced/paid the deposit with "O'canada" movers but when billing called me, it was under (Move me again transportation, first sign of illegitimate business)

I was quoted 900$ from pictures I sent (due to COVID) and it ended being double. The pictures contained WAY more stuff than I actually ended up moving. So basically they're awful at estimating moving costs.

My booked time went from between 8-9 to 11-2 under 24hrs before the move.

The movers showed up 4hrs late.

Movers didn't set up a ramp and "hand bombed" my belongings haphazardly instead of using an easily usable ramp. They did awful at wrapping and prepping for the move.

They kicked just about every thing despite my telling them to be careful as there's expensive equipment in there (recording studio equipment). Boxes were packed In the truck sideways and upside down despite being marked fragile with arrows pointing up. When I told them again to be careful I was told to " just claim it" (I doubt that would be easy, if possibleas I haven't been able to reach anyone anymore).

Once my stuff was all in the truck, THAT is when they told me it was going to be double what my quote was. Now, due to them being 4hrs late, by the time the truck was packed I couldn't contact the office, essentially holding my belongings hostage. No one's even answered my emails yet or returned my phone calls.

When I was driving back (Keswick to Ottawa) I got a call from their office regarding the weight of the the items. The office did not know the movers were 4hrs late (how does a company not know when their employees are 4hrs late!?!) And they gave me a measly 100$ off (6%).

When they got to my address in the morning the movers had incredibly shitty attitudes (at least the one that spoke english, the one that didn't was as friendly as one can be without verbal communication). They wanted me to pay before they unloaded my stuff to which I declined as I really didn't trust them at this point.

He then started to argue with me aggressively that he wouldn't unload till he got paid and that he'd call the police. I went and got the cash, counted it in front of him to show that I had it. He then refused to unload till he got paid half to which I said I'll pay half when it's half unloaded. Then he said he'd get the other half when the truck is unloaded. At half, he got half the money. Then when the truck was 95% unloaded, he kept the boxes with the most expensive stuff (stuff I told him to be extra careful with) in the truck till I paid. He was wildly aggressive about it. I stood my ground and got them to unload the rest. At which point he wanted 40$ more than what he told me when he got me to count the cash.

I've worked many customer service jobs in my day, been a customer in many places and this has gotta be one of the worst experiences I've ever had (and I have a Google review where they had us sit in a restaurant an hour for our meal because they forgot to buy pasta lol).

I would sell everything at a loss before hiring these scammers ever again. I cant imagine the things they get away with dealing with more vulnerable people.

Its been 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten a response to multiple emails, phone calls or reviews.

  4. Absolutely Hoodwinked

We originally contacted Roadway Moving and did all our business with them - until we got a bill from Move Me Again. These businesses are somehow linked.

I was quoted by sales rep "David" (no last name) from Roadway Moving; the cost to move our small 2 bedroom home from Guelph, ON to Truro, NS would be about $1000 - $0.43/lb . I gave a pretty detailed list of what we would be moving. He estimated that we would have about 2000lbs of items to be moved. He waived the scale fee on our contract, and I thought that was really nice. I paid the $200 deposit.

We are already pretty minimalistic, live in a 400sf house, and had sold or donated most of our belongings. I spent the days previous to the movers' arrival packing. When they showed up, 3 men in an unmarked truck, we had everything packed and labelled in the front room, so they had very little work to do. We had about 30 boxes, and a washer and dryer. No surprises, everything had been detailed in our emails to David. They only took about 30 minutes to get everything labelled, recorded, and loaded. The movers were fast and efficient. I gave them snacks and water. When they were finished, we tipped them well.

I had been responsible for most of the planning and communication, and they knew that. The crew leader waited until I was preoccupied to manipulate my husband to sign a new contract. They said they would charge him a $150 scale fee, and he would be required to drive with them all the way back to the scale in another town, OR that he (the crew leader) could just take a stab at the weight. He assured my husband he had been doing this for a long time. He told my husband that we had been quoted between 2000-4000lbs, and that the washer and dryer was more weight than they were expecting, so he would guess about 4750lbs. My husband thought that is seemed like too much, but he assured him that we had lots of tools too. He told him $750 over the quoted amount wouldn't be too much extra. My husband signed after some influencing, and the movers left.

Then we heard nothing. We started calling within the week. Our phone calls were dodged, our emails and voicemails ignored. Then finally my husband got through to someone. He was told we would hear from the accounting department tomorrow. We were expecting a phone call, but heard nothing all morning. I laid down after lunch and received an email. It was the bill for another $2800+tax. But this time is was from Move Me Again?? And they needed payment in 2 hours or we would not get our items.

We called Roadway over and over again and the poor receptionist had no idea how to help us. Everyone was avoiding our calls. Finally, she patched us through to the manager who continued to yell and belittle my husband for 15 minutes. She essentially told us there is nothing she could do because he signed the new contract. She was so incredibly rude. We asked for an itemized copy, which more than 3 weeks later we have not received.

If you do the math, $0.43/lb * 4750lb = $2042.50... but we were charged $2,807.50+tax. They did not include our deposit. That means that not only is there $765 of hidden charges, but they also took a deposit that they did not put towards our balance. So not only we were ripped off by weight, but also lost $965 of fees.

I have so many questions, who is "Move Me Again"? What is the $765 in hidden fees? Will we ever get a cost breakdown?

All in all, I am super disappointed. I read so many reviews on this company and even read articles called "How Not To Get Ripped Off by Moving Companies" and yet here we are - out over AT LEAST $1500. We did everything right and still got played.

  5. Great Service

Reliable, affordable, and great communication throughout. They took a lot of stress out of our move. Recommend. If possible, I would have given them 10 stars!

  6. Very nice

Although it was my first time hiring them out, I have a strong conviction that perfection is their nature. I am fully persuaded that they are the best people to consult when one is in need of quick, efficient, and reliable moving services. They will get it done the perfect way without any trouble. I recommend Move Me Again Transportation.

  7. Amazing Mover!!

Excellent service, thank you. The guys were delayed due to weather but kept me informed of their progress. They were polite and friendly and would use the service again. I would recommend using them for an easy moving experience.

  8. Good Work

They are really good at what they do, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. They made my move so easy and didn't give me the chance to complain. They are running a great business and far better than the other movers. I hope I don't have to move again for a while, but when the time comes, I know who I will be calling.

  9. Impressed!

This company has been in business for longer than a lot of fancy ones. Experience means a lot in this business. They were very apt at handling heavy furniture and delicate glassware. Most movers rush into packing and loading while these guys took their time, but by no means were they slow. They delivered my belongings undamaged. I really have no complaints against them.

  10. Use Them Again

A great service. Very efficient, communicated exceptionally well every step of the way. Friendly and quick to get the job done and asked if there was anything else they could help with. I don’t know what I would do without these guys. I highly recommend using them.

  11. Amazing Mover!!

The move went really well. They have absorbed all the stress and took all the trouble to ensure a quick and safe move. The sales guy was very attentive and informative. The estimate was very detailed, and the crew did a terrific job. I would also like to thank the customer service staff for the great support. All went well, as I mentioned before, and the entire process did not cost me more than the quoted amount. It's very nice to see that someone in the moving industry still cares about their clients.

  12. Great Service

Very pleased with the comms, value for money and quality of service. Very friendly and helpful driver. Very competitive cost. Would definitely recommend.

  13. Well done!

It was an amazing service!! Very friendly and professional!! Careful with my items and live how they made us move.

  14. Good Work

Courteous service, on time, and careful. Outstanding experience! Thanks for the help. I will recommend it!

  15. Very nice

Excellent service! The driver was awesome and on schedule, definitely a good company and I will be using again.
