  1. My 6 weeks nightmare with Move Quick Inc.

    Either those people don’t have the experience, or they intended to do that to their customers. But eventually, they made me live in a real nightmare.
    Am keep blaming myself, what did I do to myself and my family? Why I hired those people? Why I didn’t use the other company that I used before? Why I didn’t look at the reviews to this company before hiring them?!!
    At a certain point I was about to call the Police for them.
    JUST DON’T put yourself under their mercy.
    My rating to their services are as follows:
    Customer service 10%, Estimate 10%, Pricing 10%, Pickup date 10%, Packing and loading 5%, Delivery date 5%, Dismantling and assembling 20%.
    In addition to all the verbal agreement and promises that I had from them, I can prove that to you and show you many other evidences (e mails & pictures). Don’t start the process with them, just contact me first (eng.zee.al@gmail.com), you won’t lose anything, learn about my story with them and then decide.

  2. Don't Use Move Quick!!

    We used them to move my recently widowed mother from North Carolina to live with me in Oklahoma. When I called, William sounded amazing and the price was great.

    However, after giving them a deposit, getting hold of William was nearly impossible. The one time I DID manage to get him to answer the phone he was irritated and told me to email him instead of calling because he was too busy. He seriously would not even hear me out on the phone, so I emailed him and heard back from him in a couple of days.

    Once movers arrived, quoted price more than doubled.
    Glass desk cover arrived broken, 2 boxes missing and one garment box had been pried open and items removed.

    We filed a claim and I just got the filing requirements. It's laughable how much documentation they want on each item lost, which effectively means, we can't file a claim. Whatever is lost is lost and some of it was my dad's and very sentimental to mom. I've watched her cry.

    RUN AWAY FROM MOVE QUICK!! RUN, I SAY!

    I just want to thank the guys over at Move Quick. I was a little hesitant at first. I have had bad experiences with movers in the past. So I knew for sure that I wasn't going with a broker and I knew I wasn't going with some of the other companies you hear about all the time. My agent Robert was very informative and let me know exactly what to expect during the course of my move. I myself was very honest and open about what items I would be bringing. My price stayed the same and the service was great the movers were professional and on time and my items were transported in a timely fashion as well. Once again thanks to the whole team over at Move Quick I will be referring my friends and family to you guys from now on.

  4. Horrible Company.

    They were so dishonest. gentleman on the phone so nice and smooth. I was so relaxed and thought the move from Florida to Rhode Island was going to go okay.Boy was I fooled. They gave me an estimate of 1,755. When the movers came to the house in florida they said it was almost double the amount of what we were going to pay, yes there was lots more stuff there and I was willing to pay more,but no way double. Hired another moving company,who were awesome,nice and honest. So I have been calling the office to find out about my deposit and no return calls. Please do your homework before you hire movers. Do not use a company like this.

  5. Easy Move.

    This is my first time moving and I have to say I was worried about the other stories I have heard, but Move Quick made the process so simple and easy they gave me a great price, the truck was on time and their staff was very professional. They answered all my questions and were very upfront with what was included, I was also very happy with the fact I didn't have to pay for everything up front its was only a 30% deposit to book the move, which was very helpful since the moving budget was tight. I would highly recommend them if you want a stress free moving experience!

  6. Still awaiting my items.

    On April 6, 2017, Allan R contacted me with an initial quote for my upcoming move. Allan seemed very experienced and answered the numerous questions I had. He even walked me through viewing your reviews online to ease my insecurities. Allan promised that Move Quick’s reputation was based on outstanding customer service, and if issues arise, Move Quick “made it right.”

    My reservations assuaged, I trusted Move Quick with my belongings. The moving date was set for April 25th, 2017. I was expecting the movers between 8:00am-12:00pm, but they came four hours late. This required me spending an additional night in a hotel, since they delayed my ability to leave as planned on that morning.

    I was charged an additional $80 above my estimated quote for two mattress bags and additional packing material for my television, since the movers stated those packing materials were not included on my quote--despite the items being listed on my quote as part of my belongings needing to be moved.

    I requested the free 30-day storage option, as I had not secured a location for my belongings at the time I moved. My assumption was my belongings would be sent across country during those 30 days and would be kept somewhere in my new state awaiting my instructions. I was never told my belongings would remain where they were picked up.

    I began contacting Move Quick company to set up a delivery date on May 26th, 2017. I made additional calls on 5/30/17,
    6/1/17, 6/2/17, 6/14/17, 6/22/17 and 6/26/17.

    Every time I called, I either received a voicemail and left a message or was told by the individual who answered they would get back to me “in a couple hours” or “in 24 to 48 hours” with an answer regarding delivery. I have never received a return phone call from anyone.

    During one of my phone calls, the individual with whom I spoke told me one of the numbers I have been calling, which is listed on the top of my Move Quick paperwork, does not go to Move Quick and nobody knows who that number belongs to or where those messages go.

    At this point, I have paid Move Quick a $1,617 with a balance of $863.00. Additionally, I have received bills totaling $164.25 for “storage” of my belongings that I never desired or asked for.

    Because my belongings have been delayed for so long, I have had to purchase additional clothing and household items. At this stage, my patience is long exhausted.

    As of the date of this review, I have still not received my belongings or a delivery date.

  7. Misleading Quote Leads to Massive Increase in Cost.

    After receiving the initial quote, I booked the moving service. On the day of the move, I asked the movers to inform me if the square footage was going to go over the estimate and to stop before it got more than 100 sqft over. They assured me that it was going to be OK. By the time they gave me the final price, everything had already been packed up and the truck closed. I feel the movers were being misleading. Additionally, they would not disassemble some of the pieces of furniture that would take up much less space if disassembled, even though they were easy to disassemble and the quote stated that they would do so.

    The final price ended up being more than $1300 over the initial quote of $2480, even though I did not add any large items and my items are not more bulky than usual. After complaining to their customer service, they initiated an audit, initially telling me they would finish in the next day or two and that I would receive a call. I called every few days, each time receiving the same response that they would finish in a day or two and give me a call. Finally, about 10 days later when I called again, they informed me that after the audit, they would reduce the final price by $220, still well over $1000 more than the initially quoted price.

    Do not believe the quotes that this company gives you. Expect the final price to be 50% more and expect the customer service communication to be poor.

  8. Bad Experience.

    This was my first state to state move. Original contact with Phillip seemed positive and estimate was done over the phone. Was given a timeframe for pickup a couple weeks later.

    Issue 1) I was given a 4 hour window for pickup on a Saturday. 3 hours into that window I receive a call from the movers that they won't be making it and will have to do it the next day.

    Issue 2) Movers arrive and the new verbal estimate is significantly (hundreds of dollars) higher than what was done over the phone. I expected some difference, but when I pressed for a reason why, the mover basically told me it looked like a certain cubic feet (no measuring was ever done as far as I could tell).

    Issue 3) I was told that I could use credit card for the first two payments, but not the third. I had my credit card ready when the movers came to pick up the items, however, a 3% convenience fee was sprung on me which had not been told to me earlier. I would have brought my checkbook otherwise

    Issue 4) Delivery. I was given a 1-15 day window for delivery. I was told that I would receive a call 24-48 hours before my items would arrive. At 9:30 PM on a Wednesday I received a call to tell me that they would be arriving the very next morning between 8AM and 9AM. While I was irritated with the short notice, I agreed because I was excited to get my items. At 9:15 AM the next morning I called to check on their ETA. I was then told then were '20 or 30 minutes away'. At 10:20 AM (More than an hour later) the truck arrived.

    Issue 5) When the truck was opened I could clearly see that many of my boxes and goods had been mistreated. Most of the boxes showed damages, many of my plastic containers were either dented or completely broken. 2 pieces of furniture had new scratches and scuffs that weren't there before.

    Issue 6) I expected a few things to be potentially broken with the boxes but luckily the only broken items were two bowls. HOWEVER, after the movers left and I went to move my king sized mattress, I noticed a distinct smell and when I put my hand on top it came away wet. As I investigated further, I realized that one whole side of the mattress was completely soaked with water. It was only beginning to stain/show the water mark because it was still wet. It was a total loss, because even after drying, I could not guarantee there was not permanent damage.

    Verdict-- Avoid this company. I am currently going through a claims process with them (which is through a third party..I'm not expecting much) but the customer service for this company didn't seem to care at all when I brought up the problems.

    I am normally not one to write reviews but because of what a great job Move Quick did with my whole moving experience, here I am.

    From start to finish, I am very surprised how smoothly the move went. My moving consultant was very thorough and knowledgeable. They carefully boxed some mirrors that I was a bit worried about, and they arrived unscathed. And it didn't cost me a dollar more than I was quoted, which I am very happy about.

    I have moved many times and have used "household name" carriers that did not meet my expectations the way Move Quick has.

    Thanks a lot guys for such a great experience. I will recommend you hands down to anyone looking for a quality, professional mover. Thanks again!

    Cant say that ive had a better experience moving. These folks took complete c are of every detail. I move on a regular basis due to work and I can gladly say next year I will be using Move Quick Inc.
