    "I wouldn't have taken your money if I didn't have a mover ready"

    It's honestly a scam. David Miller lied, took my money, and never hired anyone. Don't do what I did and panic to hire these people.

  2. Very Disappointed

    I wish I would have read all this before contracting them - everything written in these reviews is exactly what I've experienced with them. It is just sad that they take advantage of hard working people, as if this world isn't hard enough. I really do hope the law catches up to them and pay for all the stress they've caused.

    Do NOT attempt to hire them - they are an absolute scam.

    I have spoken to Sarah, Vanessa, Brandan Bell, Mark and many other people, all rude, unprofessional and disappointing.

  3. Scam scam scam!!!!

    I was told my stuff would cost 2,500 so paid the deposit of 1100 and when movers came they said it would be 7,055 and I had to pay half upfront or lose out on my deposit and have no way of getting my stuff to Virginia from California. I had no choice but to pay because my husband left to drive to our new home in Virginia (he is a marine) and the movers promised my stuff would be there by the time I got there on the 15th which was almost a week later and I still don't have my stuff its been 2 months!!!!My kids had to start school with no backpacks only the clothes we had with us we have been sleeping on the floor!!!!! Every week I would call I was leaving messages and being ignored and then I finally found someone and the lady SAMANTHA was soooo unbelievably unprofessional and rude she literally called me stupid while I had her on speaker and my children were in the car.. Now I just got a call that the truck will supposedly be here on Wednesday and that they are expecting the rest of the payment of almost 3,000! If I don't pay them they will keep our stuff!!!! This has been a nightmare!!!

    Move scheduled 4/30 had a sub letter who was moving in that same night.each occasion that the company asked me to push my move back I informed them I could not for those reasons, verbally, in vm, email, & text. I stated that I could push it back if the costs of my new tenants moving van, storage, & hotel could be reimbursed. No answer. 4/30 Jessica called to tell me that they would be pushing my move back regardless & angrily told me to email billing about getting reimbursed. I asked if she could send a message or help me resolve the issue now bc no one has answered my previous emails , texts, or voicemails. She cursed me out & hung up on me when I called back she picked up & hung up. I spoke to Chris the reservation assistant said he’d call me in the morning w an answer to expediting the refund & an answer to reimbursing me for the financial burden caused, Chris did not call me. We are screwed now.My son & I are in tx our clothing is in WI. I can’t stop crying my life is ruined.

    Don’t EVER use these frauds!! I had to change my daughters debit card. They still took out the deposit. I reported this to the bank, they have her her money back. The people who you talk with aren’t the movers. They pawn off the move to a bunch of losers. In my case it was Luxury Van Lines. Cancel your move, if you have them, please. Once they take your items, you are screwed. We cancelled the move. They didn’t come until after 9 pm, on a Saturday?? It’s dark. They had no clue. Movers were useless. They use a Budget truck. It’s a joke. You may never get your items back. My daughter was moving into a large condo complex, where moves are scheduled from either 8-12, or 12-4, period. No exceptions. None. If these people show up that late, when do you think these items would be brought back, if ever?? I don’t know how these people are still in business. Nobody wants to help. Please, don’t use! Please. Put these people out of business. BBB useless too. We’re lucky. We got our money back, but many are not lucky. They are moving brokers, NOT movers. I had no idea what these even were. These people don’t care. They don’t care how much you complain. They feel they are always in the right. Don’t put yourselves in this position. Please. They sell you a lower contract amount, and then the movers may come and say, oh, you have too much stuff. We have to charge you double or more. Keep writing complaints!!

    Never mention they are a broker. They take your money and promise you big things. They won't return phone calls.

  7. Long distance move biggest scam ever

    Biggest scam. $3,000 in administration fees. They don’t tell you this. They are a broker and another company picks up your stuff and says you owe more money. Your stuff goes to a warehouse and held for up to 10 days, before being delivered. My $3,000 original contract turned into $7,300. They will be the first moving company to call and give you a quote, just to take advantage of you. Do not sign a contract with them. It will cost you double in the end. Every word out of their representatives mouth (Aaron) is a lie. And they never return phone calls unless they are asking for more money. They will drain your bank account. Do not sign a contract with this company. I don’t see how their employees work there, knowing they are taking advantage of people. Do not sign a contract with this company. They should be called Move Dumber. WOW and they even want you to give them a one star they don’t even deserve that. A scam even on the review end. Stealing a one star. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM YOU WILL REGRET IT.

    Move Smart AKA Move Me Smarter is a TOTAL SCAM:

    - never told they were a broker: they send cheapest guys they can find, totally unprofessional and you can't cancel the day of the move or you lose your deposit - they've got you!

    - they grossly underestimate what you need, they promise one size and then put cubic feet of half that so that when the actual mover does get their they have you over a barrel to pay double or MORE!

    - they force you to pay in some form of CASH so you have no recourse what so ever

    - the actual mover is rude, disrespectful, and very shady!

    - Was told "this happens all the time" when I talked to the workers who were actually doing the moving .... I believe them now! THESE COMMENTS ALL SAY THE SAME THING! SCAMMMMMMM!!!!!

  9. VERY BAD SERVICE

    They did my delivery after 30 days without giving me proper answer on where my items were. I had to call them many times before I can get any answer. They gave me dispatch number and told me to call dispatch myself to find out where my items were. Very unprofessional. Also , the delivery driver was drunk and high and he kept cursing me and my husband out if we asked a single question. I would never use any moving company because of this company.

    SCAM ALERT!!!!! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY OR USE THEM!!!!

    I gave a deposit for a move from Colorado to Florida. When the movers arrived to move me they said that it would cost me $5000 more (THAT IS NOT A TYPO) and that the person that quoted me messed up. When I called Move Smart back and spoke to them and asked for my money back they said I will lose my deposit of $1193 because of their cancellation policy. They said that I miss judged the space allowed for the move. They asked me specifically on the original phone call what I was moving and THEY came up with the space needed, not me. How do I know how much space I need to move items? Isn't that their job?

    They then told me that they would refund $600 back to me but have yet to do so.They first said they will put it back on my credit card. Then they said their credit card machine isn't working correctly so they have to send me a check. I asked for a tracking number which they gave me on January 14th which I just looked at today (January 25th( and it hasn't even left their office. Now they are not responding.

    I won’t even give one star as they are a HORRIBLE company! Read their reviews.. SCAMMERS AND LIARS! Sell you a job, take your money, LIE about services rendered then when you try to call and question to get answers they put you straight to voicemail and do not return phone calls or emails. BEWARE! RUN!! DO NOT USE MOVESMART!! DISGUSTING PEOPLE

  12. Long distance move of 500 miles

    Their customer service was great to get your business but once they got you they go way down hill. Their rate double and the ones they contract your move out to are even worse! They are not able to be contacted when you have a problem. Took me four days and being nasty to them to get some action out of them and the. Again they failed to follow through. They hang up or disconnect you each time you call to avoid fixing your problem. Ironic when reading the reviews (which I wish I had done before hiring them) it is all the same complaints. Sarah is a horrible customer service rep., Matt was great until he never a calls you back when you have a problem and need help, same with Rich and Daniel. Jessica was helpful but never followed through, and Chris tried but I knew there was going to be no follow through but I am at their mercy since they still have our household goods. Horrible companies both move smart and way to go (based out of IL) pick up from Ohio. Both are liars, and underestimate quite to get your business then provide horrible customer service and quality once they have our stuff. Should never take two to three weeks to get your items on a 500 mile move. Just a disgrace! These business give moving companies a bad name and reputation!!

    I wish I could give them 0. Don’t trust them. They lie. Don’t trust their “estimates”. My price doubled upon arrival and then they wouldn’t give my deposit back. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    DON'T USE THIS COMPANY. Scheduled my move over 2 months for the 2nd day in a row they canceled my pickup, nothing but excuses and now I'm left to scramble for a new mover when I'm supposed to be out today. Costing me time, energy and aggravation. Will attempt to sue we should all start a class action lawsuit and ensure these crooks are run out of business.

  15. SCAM!!!!

    DO NOT HIRE THIS AGENCY!

    This is not a real company they are brokers and they hire they cheapeast moving company! I talked to Brandon he did not mention at all it was an agency he said that his company was the best at moving and blah blah blah he gave me a quote for $1600, (a studio) i had to pay a down payment of $800 and when the moving company came (brooklyn moving co) theh started adding a bunch of stuff, I ended up paying $2000 MORE!!! YES I PAID $3800.

    He is going to tell you that your stuff will get to tje destination between 3-5 bussiness days, that is a LIE the mover told me they can take up to 3 weeks! He mentioned that i was going to be able to track the truck to see where my stuff was that was a complete LIE there is no way you can track them!

    The moving guys (Brooklyn moving co) came in the house and started loading the truck before I even sign the paper after they loaded half of the truck he told me the total that i had to pay upfront and what was i supposed to do? If they had almost all of my stuff inside the truck.

    Honestly guys this company should not even be in bussiness. Not to mention that the driver that delivered my stuff, and his helpers were all using flip flops! How profesional is that? I was trying to talk to one of the guys and the driver was like do not talk to anyone just do your job. I am not just anyone I AM PAYING YOU! I AM OVER PAYING YOU! what the hell was that supposed to mean? Worst service ever!!! They did not want to take the trash, and he left mad because ny husband told him that he needed to pick up the trash. He got in the truck and left i didnt even sign the paper stating that I had received my stuff.

    This is a total FRAUD! If you want to be taken advantage of go ahead and hire them!

    Also, some of my stuff was missing parts my lamp was broken my matress box was ripped, and they didnt even take off some of their blankets!
