  1. Avoid Using Them

This company caused damage to my furniture and hid the fact they did it. When I tried to submit a claim, they only offered me $30. The price of the item is over $900 and just to repair it would be $300 dollars. When I asked for the original contract. They sent it and said they closed my claim and want me to open up a mediation.

This is a very shady company. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE THEM. I am in the process of filing a complaint to the DMV and will be filing a small claims court against them.

Make sure to look at BBB reviews and yelp reviews before deciding to use this company.

  2. BEWARE!

I wrote an earlier review which has been removed. The companies response to my claim (which I just received after filing it in Dec. 2020) was for .60. Yes 60 cents for over $3,000 in damages and stolen diamond ring.

  3. Great work!

John J. and Nick G. were absolutely terrific--moved all of our big furniture and many heavy boxes and crates from our 2 bedroom apartment to another (upstairs!) apartment in exactly 3 hours. They were friendly, respectful, and quick. Plus, the rates were amazing. If you move with them, call ahead to request John J. and Nick G.

  4. Do Note Hire.

DO NOT HIRE. They were unprofessional, did not show up with the right equipment, smelled of weed and took forever. It took 3 hours just to load my stuff from a one bedroom apartment into a tuck. The entire move was a painful 7 hours with them. While moving stuff into the new place they were making dents in the walls and when I asked them to be careful they said they didn't care because they weren't liable for the walls. They broke my expensive tv, some glass furniture and scratched other furniture. I would recommend hiring anyone but this company.

  5. Nightmare of a move.

Critical: Professionalism, Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value

This was one of the worst experiences with moving I’ve ever had. If I could give 0 stars, I would have. Making the initial appointment in February for an early March move to reserve the time was very easy & the scheduler Patty was polite & responsive & explained how payment worked as well as what I needed to put down for deposit to reserve my 3/11 move. Fast forward to 3/11 & the movers Marcus (supervisor) Carlos & Glen got to my home promptly as my scheduled window. Throughout the move, there were challenges (typical) in a move, I’ve moved over a dozen times so I totally get it. The gentleman seemed like they knew what they were doing, however, our 1400 sqft home should’ve been able to fit on one truck as I do not have a lot of stuff, however, it was 2 trips. The fridge was a nightmare & was semi-new a little over a year old (now in the garage) just revealed a ton of dents & major scraps on the side. This wasn’t noticeable before but I digress. The second trip included my dining room table which is scratched (deep) beyond repair all down the middle and sides & end table in the family room has a massive deep scratch without repair. Later finding out my beds in my master & son's room were not put back together correctly, missing tons of screws on the slats, as well as they, left a bunch of drill bits from their toolsets. I have a massive black scratch on my wall in the foyer from the first piece of furniture brought into my new home (later finding out one of the movers was brand new). Regardless, I tipped the gentleman because they did work hard & the informed me about the damages it was an easy process & the claims are very quick to respond..so very far from the truth!! I called the Location multiple times & spoke with Bud to check on my claim & he said Mary Brown (claims adjusters) will reach out. She did via email & again stated this claim 6-8 weeks. I’ve followed up on the claim (56 days & counting). Finally, I received an email last night stating I’d be reimbursed a total of $39 which is not only insulting but a joke for my claim. My dining room table was over $800 new only 2 years ago & had no scratches on it at all & the end table in my living room was less than a year old & $350 when I bought it last March again with no scratches or marks. I emailed Mary last night & again this morning asking for not only her supervisor's information but also the owners of the location I used & she refused to give me either one & said because it’s a legal matter she needs to only communicate via email & I had to sign & get notarized the settlement for reimbursement. I called the local office; 210-348-8199 & spoke with Gia this morning (5/6) at 9:12 am & she was rude & said she couldn’t help me & that she’d have to now hang up on me in which she did & then blocked my number. I have never in my life dealt with such a lack of professionalism from start to finish. This has been pain stacking and the fact of the matter the claim taking 8 weeks is a joke to state you will reimburse be a whopping $39. I will be filing a claim to the BBB. I would highly advise not going with these movers, ever.

  6. History of Criminal Business Practices- BEWARE.

This company has a long history of breaking people's things and not carrying insurance. Going through the customer's belongings and STEALING and the owner does nothing.

Read all the YELP and Google reviews..they all have similar stories. Total nightmare company they absolutely do not care and look for ways to cheat people.

If you got ripped off like so many others, look on YELP and join in the people putting a case together with their combined experiences to get a lawsuit and settlement. They are going to be put out of business so the people of San Antonio can do business in peace!

  7. Local move--Outstanding! Eric and Gregg.

We contacted this company to relocate us from an apartment to a home on 11/29. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the price was definitely good. The two young men arrived on time, Eric Davis and Greg. They were very polite, explained to us prior to doing anything to an unusual piece of furniture and how they needed to handle it. These guys took precaution in handling our items, placing them on the truck securely and delivered them without anything going wrong at all. A few items had to be taken apart such as the bed in the master bedroom. They kept everything together, all of the screws, etc and put the bed back together at our home. We had some very heavy items that they handled, as well as a lot of breakable/fragile items. This move went great without a hitch. Not only were they nice, they were engaging and very respectful. I have read some of the other reviews that were not favorable, but..Eric Davis and Gregg represented themselves and this company very well. We will definitely use these two again!

  8. Beware of This Company!!

I have used MOSA twice in the last three years, the most recent being May of this year (2018). The first time it went fairly well, nothing to really complain about . However, the last time, I left my men's diamond wedding band on the sink in the bathroom. I made several trips to my car to load things. When everything was loaded in the van I locked up the apartment and we left together to unload at a nearby storeage. The next morning when I returned to the apartment to get my ring it was gone. I immediately contacted MOSA and was told to contact the police which I did. I was told that someone from the office would contact me later and that they would interview the two men as soon as they returned from a job they were on. I never received ANY call from ANYONE. I was emailed a claim form to fill out and submit which I did. I was again promised to be updated but NEVER RECEIVED ONE EMAIL or PHONE CALL. After waiting patiently for several months, I tried to contact them about my situation and was told that the only way to contact the insurance people was by email. I tried that and NO RESPONSE.

IF YOU CHOOSE TO USE THESE PEOPLE BEWARNED!!

  9. DO NOT hire this dishonest Company. San Pedro, San Antonio.

We hired Movers of San Antonio located
6989 San Pedro San Antonio, TX 78216
Patty, quoted $1,600.00 on 3 separate recorded phone calls. Assured us we would not find anyone cheaper. This amount included the $489.00 fuel fee. (This has already been charged to our CC Company.)
The 2 men arrived at 9:15 am. I hired person to help take items outside. David Gant, the driver, spent most of his time wrapping furniture! Cliff loaded. They arrived at the destination 1/2 hr. earlier, before us. Some items were already unloaded. They asked for payment. I gave them my credit card. David Gant said NO! His Boss told him by phone, to collect $1,900.00 cash or load up furniture back up, and leave. Police were called.. 3 of them arrived. I was scared of the 2 men raising their voices at me. My 95 yr. old husband said to give them to $1900.00 cash from the $2,000.00, we had saved for property taxes. We were overcharged $800.00. We now have broken and scratched furniture that was tossed in our garage.(Many items were not packed, in San Antonio. The 2 men left before I noticed)

The 2 men left the destination, honking, when I went inside to check on my husband..Tools and other items are missing. I couldn't close the garage door. Jason Burns and Patty have blocked my calls. All I want is a refund of $800.00. They have to be found accountable for their lies. I will report to Attorney General and BBB.

  10. Do Not Use Movers of San Antonio!!

I hired Movers of San Antonio to move in January. They broke several items, most importantly the glass shelves from my china cabinet. When it occurred, the employee called the incident in and I was assured that it would be replaced/taken care of. After I paid (and tipped them) I was told I would receive an email with instructions for replacing the broken items. I finally received a "claim form" after I contacted them a few weeks later when I had not heard from them. I took the time to measure, seek quotes, complete the form, and return it. The damage was over $200 and that didn't even take into account all the time it took for me to gather the replacement information. I finally heard back that they would only pay for the weight of the broken glass ($27.00). They said it was in my contract and suggested I contact my homeowner insurance company to make a claim! UNBELIEVABLE!! They broke the items and refuse to repair/replace them. A very expensive china cabinet without shelves is pretty useless!
I am filing a complaint with the BBB.

  11. Poor quality. Make a list of everything you have moved!

When I hired Movers of San Antonio, I informed them that there would be two drop off locations and I needed packing assistance. Having not received a confirmation call, I called the the day prior to the move to confirm the details of the move. At that time I asked if I would need any packing materials, need to dismantle furniture, or disconnect appliances. I also asked how I should label non boxed items so the movers would know where to take them. The phone contact stated the movers would bring all packing materials and take care of appliances and furniture. He said I could just tell the movers what goes where and they'd take care of it. When the movers arrived, they had no packing material and one in charge seemed very perturbed that he had to disconnect/move appliances. In addition, they seemed to have no idea there were two drop off spots(storage and house). All the already packed boxes were labeled house or storage. As instructed I told the one in charge where the nonboxed items would go. This was the same mover who later had another pushing him around on a dolly. Each mover worked on a different activities/rooms both at pick up and drop off. I would run room to room to tell them where things went. Two of the three worked very hard, but at times there was obvious confusion as the head mover would give other directions.
After the movers left the house, I noticed that they had left several items marked "storage" in the garage of the house. They did not tell me they had done this. I had to pay someone else to move these. Later, while we were unpacking, I had to go back to the storage as several items marked for the house were there. In the storage I noticed a shelf missing . In addition, the legs of the piano were loosened by one mover. But the two that moved the piano, decided to keep them on. They were not retightened prior to moving or upon delivery. The movers took a 30 min lunch between the he storage and the house. This was included in the time. I will say that one of the mover forwent out of his way to move a refrigerator when the supervisor said it could not be moved. He got the fridge in the house. I was very impressed by him. And how persistent he was to the one in charge. In all, it was just very hard to supervise 3 movers working independently. The supervisor of the three didn't. He seemed to just stand around waiting to get things signed and drive the truck. It was not worth paying for 3, I think the job would have gone much better if it was only the other two. Never were 3 people used to move any appliance or the piano, these were all moved by two.
