  1. This Company is a Scam.

    DO NOT USE Moving Done. They are NOT a mover, they are a broker. They have NO responsibility for your household goods. They do not employ their own people. Had a move set for April 1 and nobody ever showed up. Can't get in touch with anyone at Moving Done. Finally had to figure things out, last minute, on my own. The phone # they have is a Magic Jack line. Really? Magic Jack? Someone names "Jay" might answer. I don't think that is his real name. I contracted with a woman up front but it seems like "Jay" is the only person who actually works there. I don't think this is a real company. Moving quote was very low up front, ended up costing 3x that amount because it is all a lie and a setup. PLEASE understand, I read some positive comments as well and got suckered in. Don't fall for it. Any positive review are most likely for the actual real people who finally come to move your things but these are all independent from Moving Done and are contracted. You could have called them yourself and saved hassle and money. Bottom line is Moving Done is a scam. Please beware.

  2. As Bad as They Come.

    If you care about your possessions DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! When my things finally arrived there was much damage to them and some expensive tools were missing. The biggest problem was the way the truck was loaded. They loaded my nice, fragile antique furniture first and then piled a bunch of heavy items on top of it. All of this furniture was damaged simply because they did not seem to care one bit about it. After my things were unloaded I took inventory and found that two of my very nice, expensive, heavy-duty metal shelves were missing as well as my new, expensive Shop Vac. I called to file an insurance claim and they immediately started stringing me along. They told me to send them pictures of the damage and a list of what was missing and they'd file the claim. I did, but weeks went by and nothing happened. No forms were sent and they wouldn't call me back. All the conversations were initiated by me. All I was trying to do is collect the maximum of $50 each on the eleven items that were damaged or missing to cut my losses and they wouldn't even make that happen. These guys are as unprofessional and dishonest as they come. I told them if they didn't file and pay my claim I'd go online and tell my story so here it is. They don't even care if their clients say bad things about them by writing negative reviews. They'd rather that happen than to file and pay a simple claim. I bet they don't even actually have insurance. Don't walk- RUN away from this company!

  3. Moving to Oregon.

    My experience with Move done was perfect. They were prompt and followed my directions regarding the piece of furniture that I was having them pick up and bring to my house. I requested that they make 2 different phone calls so that I could time it to be there on the receiving end. They did everything exactly as I had instructed and they were friendly when they came to deliver the table.

    I would definitely recommend Move done because of their great customer service. My experience withsharon and jay could not have been better. They did their job exactly the way it should have been done.

  4. Moving with move done relocation services.

    I choose move done based off a freind recommend and I am very content with my decision. My items have arrived and the service was perfect. I was thinking that there had to be a catch, great price, nice sales person -sharon and great service overall.

    Please do not go with Movingdone company.
    DO NOT GO WITH MOVINGDONE.

    Jay from moving done didn't take care of our damages during the move.
    Just during the move, even though the contract had all the info, the movers wanted more money to unload the things. Not only that there were damages. After we reported the damages, Jay got in tough with us. He thought we had given a bad review and wanted a good review, he mistook us to be someone else. Once I let him know that we didn't give any reviews, he backed off the refund/insurance claim from the damage. No response on any number of emails.

    Please let get back to me and let me know if you plan to send us the $75 for the broken stuff or not.
    If not, I will provide all the email trails and a very bad review on yelp and any other consumer moving web site stating what has been done to us.

    Hello,

    You helped us move from Virginia to California and during the move, we have a few items that were broken.

    1. Dining table leg was completely broken
    2. Ikea Floor lamp was broken
    3. Coffee table legs were wobbling and doesn't stand like before
    4. Kitchen coffee mug handle is broken.

  6. Disappointing.

    After looking for several moving companies, I decided to go with Moving Done because the price was the most reasonable to move a dining room set I purchased. I had my doubts when their estimate was about $150 to $200 lower than everyone else's, but I went with them anyway. You get what you pay for.

    The contract indicated I would have 3 movers, there were only 2. The guys were over 1.5 hours late and took almost 2 hours to load a dining room table, 6 chairs, a buffet, and a china cabinet (to their credit they did wrap the furniture well). I tried calling the company for 3 hours with no response after leaving several messages. The manager finally called me back. He was not pleasant to deal with, that is putting it mildly, and when told that I was suppose to have 3 movers and only had 2 he agreed to drop the price from $95 an hour to $80 an hour. Now my thoughts would have been to drop the price by 1/3, but that didn't happen. When the movers finally got to the destination, the price had changed yet again, now I was being charged $80 only for the 2 hours it took them to load and unload the truck and $95 an hour for driving. Then after all of this, the manager indicates that since I am paying by credit card, I would be charged an additional 5% fee that had NEVER been discussed throughout the entire process.

    All in all, their estimate is inaccurate, management is not pleasant to deal with, the pricing changed, and they weren't timely. Do not go with this company otherwise you are going to get what you pay for..

  7. Fraud Company.

    Please do not even think about it.
    I had my moving done with them.
    I dint care about late delivery or pickup which they were.
    I have 5 large boxes missing and my couch and bed in bad shape.
    They will not respond you after you pay them.
    Moreover they charged me 300 bucks extra saying that that it was overweighted where I had only a bed and couch with TV, kitchen stuff and my clothes.
    I asked them to give me the weight before and after, they said we will take care of it.
    I have filed a complain with NTSB, but dint hear back anything so far.
    Please be aware of these fraud people and when repeatedly calling them from different numbers, they in turn talk rudely.
    Very horrible experience with a huge loss.
