  1. This company should be shut down.

    Worst moving company ever. My quote of $5700 went to nearly $19,000 once they took possession go my goods. They showed up three days late and delivered 13 days late. Every time I called I was told your furniture is on the truck should be there tomorrow. They lied to us for 13 days straight like this. We had damages and they refer you to Anthem their insurance company. Good luck with that. "Where are the original receipts for 80 year old furniture". Huh !
    They lied to us so much it was only when we threatened to call the police did our furniture finally show up. The guys doing the actual physical move were pretty good - but the office systematically lied. They don't take credit cards only cash or postal money orders. My balance was $12500 to be paid to the driver BEFORE they will unload the van. Take my advice and run as far away from this company as possible.

  2. Unexceptable Experience with Moving Express & Storage.

    Move started in Connecticut on Sunday August 26th. Driver Alanous from Moving Express and Storage already started then telling me he would allow more space for us in the truck without telling the company if we would give him 750$ cash for doing us a favor. They took our stuff overnight and got a hotel. Next day headed to Maine, but on the 27th slept at another hotel as they were tired again to go straight there. finally they showed up on the 3rd the day August 28th at 3pm. At the time we declined the closing on that house as it was in horrible condition and were stressed beyond our limits. I had them bring our belongings to a storage facility in Fort Fairfield. Before this, he was conniving on the phone with some other people so it seemed. The deal was we could pay him 6,000 or pay the price given to us by the Express Moving & Storage the full 8, 159. I was under the impression we had an option. I was supposed to get 1,000$ money orders from the post office. The limit was 'four' so I was only able to get 4,000. He was told and said that until he gets the other 2,000 he will hold the company's check and when he receives the money he would mail the check back to us. He never did, but gave the check to the company to save his own rearend, withholding the fact that he pocketed the 4k. Amazing he still has his job, seems the company is just as shady.

    I drove 10 hours straight without sleeping to get to a house that was unlivable. I was responsible for my 97 year old grandmother and keeping her safe.So I had to contact our real estate agent who knew a friend with a storage facility. Stress, exhaustion and worry created a perfect advantage for someone intending to confuse and con. The situation is still a battle as this employee is twisting it all on me. Shameful workers with absolutely appalling dispositions.

  3. Terrible experience-would like to give no stars.

    They picked up my daughter's furniture June 29 to move from SC to NM. They were a day late and didn't bother to tell us, I had to call and inquire about where they were. Once they got here and loaded the furniture, they informed us that the price had gone up $1000 because of square footage, we were literally moving one bedroom of furniture. We were told a fixed price for up to 2000 lbs. There was no mention of square footage. They have cashed my check and we have not heard anything from them. I have emailed them and called 4 different phone numbers. I get no response. The number listed on the paperwork rings one time and cuts off. I have left voicemails at other numbers. We have no idea where our furniture is and no delivery information. This company is a scam.

  4. Beware: This is a "fraud" Moving Company.

    My Claim for the damages caused by the poor handling of Moving Express & Storage INC was routed to Anthem Claim management 2 months back, its stuck because they don't have the Inventory list from the movers. It's shocking that MOVING EXPRESS & SORAGE are intentionally not providing the INVENTORY LIST from my move to keep my claim on hold.

    The representatives will scam and lure you into a very sweet deal and then as soon as you sign the contract, you are on your own. My experience with them was like a nightmare. I couldn't believe someone could go to such low professionalism just to cheat you and charge you eternally. Let me explain this by exposing the scam at every step so that YOU GUYS DON'T FALL INTO THEIR SCAM!!

    Scam with Loading: I am now paying the consequences with a broken 65-inch TV and cracked furniture. I was told that my stuff will be loaded "by Weight" and if its less than the estimate, I will get a discount and if not, I have to pay more. Sounded reasonable and I agreed. Now the pickup guy came with a truck which was already 70% loaded, after loading he said pay me additional 500$ as the volume is more and dismissed anything about "weight". Now in the contract, it says either weight OR Volume but the representatives will never tell you that over phone while sweet talking before you sign. I said at-least give me a proof on the volume or let me look at the available space in the truck - that's when his tone changed. He threatened to cancel the load and started screaming, all other residents panicked and came out- I have a 5-month old daughter, I couldn't do anything but pay as I was already late to leave for Atlanta. Now comes the bigger scam - he couldn't fit my stuff and then had to tie my dining table and my king size mattress outside the truck - YES OUTSIDE THE TRUCK (look at the pictures). I knew something was fishy and started taking pictures. In essence, he charged me for the extra volume which he didn't had in the first place, this is illegal.

    Scam with Packing/Assembly: These guys had no tools on them, they were unable to open up my dining table. They then said we will load it as is which was next to impossible. I then, with my baby had to search all over the markets to purchase the right tools. If this is the professional packing Mrs Heidi charged me for, then you can imagine the quality of service they promise.

    I have enough recorded proof to take this legally if my claim is not settled soon- They take advantage of the limited knowledge that customers have regarding the moving business and then rip you off. If they don't do the actual move and we have no control over who the actual carrier will be - then why do business with them, because if we do- the results will be damaging.

  5. Worst experience ever.

    I can't even begin with terrible experience with my move last week. These people are unprofessional and very very rude and uncaring. They overcharged and then threatened to put my things in some random storage if I didn't come up with extra 500 dollars to get a smaller truck because THEY messed up coming in a way too big one that didn't fit in my propoety. I ended up getting my own furniture in my home after paying them $2600. To top off am missing boxes and received someone elses things. INCREDIBLY STUPID will never recommend..EVER.

  6. Moving from Michigan to Colorado.

    The driver tried to come 2 days early. I told him I wasn't ready. He said we will just pack you and charge you for it. Showed up with a truck that wasn't big enough. Wouldn't listen to me when I told him it wasn't going to fit. Before they left they were literally throwing things and they were falling out of the truck. I actually removed one item from the truck because I was afraid it wouldn't make the trip. I didn't realize they had two months to deliver my belongings. Several items got left behind. I will have to make a trip back to Michigan, rent a Uhaul and retrieve it. They offered to go back but there are people living in the house now and they weren't comfortable dealing with those people. I can't blame them. Then they called me a few weeks later looking for items they were suppose to deliver to Iowa for me and when I couldn't help them do their job they started yelling at me. So I told them not to make the extra stop which then meant I had to make a trip from Colorado to Iowa to help my son get the rest of his belongings. I also got yelled at for not unpacking the 2 drawer filing cabinet with all my personal information in it that put my Identity at risk of being stolen. Remember they were packing for me?? They found the filing cabinet. Put the contents in a box and shipped it Fed Ex. I'm guessing I wont see the filing cabinet. What did make it here, some stuff was moldy, some stuff was broken and some stuff is damaged and alot of stuff has that stupid brown tape all over it??

  7. Worst Company Ever.

    I am in the process of organizing a class action suit against them. Run for the hills. They delivered property that was smashed and tried to extort money from us. We plan on pressing criminal charges.

    I was really anxious using a moving company but things turned out well. I mean they were running a little late but they made up for it by doing such a good job once there (i had alot of things). They took my things on the truck and put it in their storage facility until I was ready. I didn't get delivered as quick as I wanted but I chalk it up to moving across country.

  9. Moving.

    I expected moving across country to be stressful but moving express helped make it easy.they showed up to my home ready to work.they were organized and professional.they are experienced in moving people across country.it was also cost effecient. I would use them again.

    I don't know if anyone end up with extra things like a box of Disney movies a box of kitchen items,drill kit if any one that has any extra stuff please please email me the Disney movies are very important to us email me please my email is mamabear8995@gmail.com .   11. What wasn't destroyed is missing.

    I was researching moving companies on line for my February move from Upstate New York to Florida, received a call from Nurizon Van Lines representative, very nice pleasant lady, I honestly believed that they were the actual moving company so I paid my $900.00 fee then had to make sure that I paid half of the balance via certified funds, cashiers check. which I did, I get a call from the Drivers telling me they will be at my house within an hour, this was at 2pm drivers didn't get to my house until 9pm and finished loading at 1AM. They had 3 movers to complete the job, they started wrapping my furniture in padding created crates then hit me with an additional $1,080.00 for packing fees on top of the $1,268.00 on top of the $900.00, the company that showed up was not Nurizon Van Lines But Moving Express & Storage, Now I’m Stuck because I have to leave and have no time to find another company. Moving Express & Storage Inc. were so unprofessional they were throwing the F Bomb and the N word like there was no tomorrow, argued with each other the whole time, complaining that they were hungry, so I went to McDonalds and bought $30.00 in food to shut them up so that the truck would get loaded and I could get on the road, as I was driving straight thru to Florida. after all this one of the guys walked off the job said he was done and sat in the truck.

    Truck is finally loaded and they realize that the Truck is stuck in the Ice, they tried for over an Hour to get the truck unstuck in the meantime I am freaking out because the truck is pitching back and forth and side to side, I said to my brother in law dear lord everything is going to be ruined broke destroyed. The driver finally came to the car and said that they were going to call a tow truck and it would be 3 hours before they got there. this is already 2 am and have a 24 hour drive, we left I called Nurizon spoke to the manager Sam P I was told to contact Express moving and storage which I did, spoke with Francine explained what had happened that I was not happy with the service or the attitude or professionalism of the movers, they were very apologetic and wanted to help in any way to make this better. they deducted $200.00 off of the packing and gave me an extra 30 day storage.

    Now here it is April I called to have my furniture and belongings delivered they said it would be 5 days, and to please have the additional $2,133.33 in cashier’s check or I could pay via credit card for a fee of $43.00.
    Furniture shows up and sure enough everything is destroyed, what wasn't destroyed is now missing, over $9,000.00 between damaged and missing goods, I called both companies and was told to file a claim, which I did here goes another run around, yesterday I receive a offer letter of $198.00. between the cost of the move and my destroyed and missing items I’m out over $13,000 and they offer $198.00 absolutely disgraceful.

    Please note that the Livingroom furniture was all New less than 3 months old which consist of couch satee set destroyed, overstuffed chair ottoman, 2 end tables beat up dented and scratched, coffee table, broken leg and cross section destroyed, fire place entertainment center for 60 TV, beat up scratched dented, my bedroom suite was less than 3 years old, both dressers long with Mirror and Tall are scratched wood, Mirror missing wood and scratched up. all Four Posts 7ft tall are scratched beat up pitted and one of the posts is separated from the base, head board and foot board scratched and beat up, side rails chucks of wood missing, scratched the 2nd bedroom suite is an antique set that I purchased in New York, dresser has chunks of wood missing box springs and mattresses were brand new queen box spring broken queen mattress ripped, 55 inch LG TV Dented broken base, missing power cored. There are over 30 totes that are missing as well as a 10 X 15 Shag area Rug, brand new.

    Currently going through a situation with this company. They were brokered via USA Moving Group. I have hired a lawyer and have engage the State Attorney General governing the Passaic County District, Jeffrey Chiesa. In addition, State Farm Insurance is awaiting claims details of damaged or missing inventory if and when delivered.

  13. Run Run Don't Use Them Warning.

    I still haven't gotten any letter or call from this company about the items that supposedly missed placed in other words STOLEN just by any chance if any one had gotten more things or something that is not yours please take a picture of it and send it to me at mamabear8995@gmail.com and put in subject missing or stolen these people had f---- me over so Don't Use Them.

  14. The worst moving company ever.

    I should have read all the reviews before using this company, but I didn't even know the company I hired was a broker and used a different moving company to deliver items.  That moving company is Moving Express and they are the absolute worse!  Rude, irresponsible, neglectful, thefts that damaged my furniture.  They tried to charge me $365 extra.  When I refused to pay they tossed my stuff out on the side of the road!  Several damaged items had to be thrown away.  Please check to make sure them moving brokers you contact do not have a contract with Moving Express because it will seriously be the worse experience in your life!

  15. POOR Service, POOR management, POOR customer service.

    RUN AWAY  .. FAR FAR AWAY.. Such POOR service, POOR management, POOR customer service and consistent LIARS with one objective.. steal customers money. Its only time before this company go out of business. The NJ State Attorney General should be ashamed for allowing this company to function in NJ; it will not take great effort to examine the underhanded techniques this poor excuse for a business use to scam people out of their money. This company gives the hard working men and women in the moving industry a BAD NAME. How can MOVING EXPRESS AND STORAGE company NOT protect clients valuables, deliver clients stuff in poor condition, material stolen, boxes missing, it was the worst experience ever.
